  • This research investigates the stability analysis for the rotating and the stationary grooved journal bearing. The dynamic coefficients of the journal bearing are calculated by using FEM and the perturbation method. When journal bearing is in whirling motion, the dynamic coefficients have time-varying components as a sine wave due to the reaction force of oil film toward the center of journal even in the steady state. The solutions for the equations of motion can be assumed as the Fourier series expansion. The equations of motion can be rewritten as the linear algebraic equations with respect to the Fourier coefficients. Then, stability of the grooved journal bearing can be calculated by Hill's infinite determinant. The periodic function of dynamic coefficients is derived using Fourier Fast Transform(FFT).The stability of journal bearing is determined as rotating speed increases and the stability of rotating grooved journal bearing is compared and discussed with the stability of stationary grooved journal bearing.

  • A new method of nonlinear robust controller synthesis is introduced which is an extension of linear mixed $H_2/H_{\infty}$ control. This method guarantees robust stability fur hard nonlinearity and uncertainty of the plant. The method is applied to the control of a flexible link of robot with Coulomb friction. Simulation shows good performances with respect to the response and the robustness.

  • The microstructure, V-I characteristics, and stability of ZnO-Pr$_{6}$O$_{11}$-CoO-Cr$_2$O$_3$-Y$_2$O$_3$based vairstors were investigated with cooling rate in the range of 2~8$^{\circ}C$/min. The cooling rate relatively weakly affected the microstructure, and the varistor voltage and the leakage current in the V-I chracteristics. But the nonlinear exponent relatively strongly affected by cooling rate. And the cooling rate also greatly affected the stability for DC stress. In gross, the varistors cooled with 4$^{\circ}C$/min exhibited the highest performance in the densification, nonlinearity, and stability. Especially, they exhibited a high stability, in which the variation rate of the varistor voltage and the nonlinear exponent is -1.44% and -4.85%, respectively, under more severe DC stress such as (0.80 V$_{1mA}$9$0^{\circ}C$/12 h)+(0.85 V$_{1mA}$115$^{\circ}C$/12 h)\`(0.90 V$_{1mA}$12$0^{\circ}C$/12 h)+(0.95 V$_{1mA}$1$25^{\circ}C$/12 h)+(0.95 V$_{1mA}$15$0^{\circ}C$/12 h). It should be emphasized that the stability of these varistors is much superior to that of others.s.of others.s.

Anti-Helicobacter pylori IgY의 처리조건에 따른 안정성에 관한 연구 (Stability of Anti-Helicobacter pylori IgY Under Some Condition)

  • 본 연구는 살균온도, pH 및 소화효소의 처리에 따른 anti-H. pylori IgY의 안정성을 평가하였다. 열 안정성 실험시 모든 처리구에서 anti- H. pylori IgY 함량은 대조구에 비해서 유의적으로 감소되었다(p<0.05). 그러나 저온살균 처리구(63$^{\circ}C$, 30분)와 초고온살균 처리구(130$^{\circ}C$, 2초)에서 WSF 중 anti-H. pylori IgY 함량은 각각 76%와 78% 이었다. pH의 안정성은 pH를 7.0에서 1.5로 감소시킴에 따라 anti-H. pylori IgY의 함량은 감소되는 경향을 보였다. pH 5.0으로 조정한 WSF를 37$^{\circ}C$에서 1시간 처리한 후 anti-H. pylori IgY의 함량은 84.4%인데 비해서 pH 2.5에서는 28.6%의 anti-H. pylori IgY 함량을 보였다. 그리고 pepsin과 trypsin을 처리한 후 anti-H. pylori IgY의 안정성도 평가하였다. 100 unit의 pepsin에서 1시간과 2시간 처리시에는 시간에 따른 항체의 함량은 차이가 없었으나, 200 unit의 pepsin 처리구에서는 시간에 따른 항체 함량이 유의적으로 차이가 있었다(P<0.05). 그러나 pepsin의 농도나 반응시간에 관계없이 pH 4.0에서 항체는 비교적 안정하였다. pH 7.0, 37 $^{\circ}C$에서 trypsin을 처리한 후 난황액과 WSF 중 anti-H. pylori IgY의 함량은 반응시간의 증가에 따라서 유의적으로 감소되었다(P<0.05). 난황액 중 항체 함량은 120분 처리시 85%가 잔존하였으나, WSF 중 항체 함량은 30분 처리시 62%로 감소하였다. Trypsin을 처리한 후 난황중의 항체의 안정성은 WSF 보다 유의적으로 높았다(P<0.05).

홍게 가공회수 단백질의 용해도, 유화력 및 안정성 (Solubility, Emulsion Capacity, and Emulsion Stability of Protein Recovered from Red Crab Processing Water)

  • The functional properties of protein recovered from red crab (Chitinonecetes opiiie) processing in water (RCP) were examined and compared with those of soybean protein isolate at pH 2~10 in water and NaCl solu5ion. The solubilities of RCP and SPI were miniumu at pH 4, the isoelectric point and increased significantly at lower or higher than pH 4. Solubilities in NaCl solution for both proteins decreased with incr NaCl concentration increase at all pH ranges. Emulsion capacity for both proteins was also minimum at pH 4 and increased as protein concentration increased from 2 to 6%. Emulsion capacity of RCP was higher than these of SPI at pH 6∼10 and all protein concentrations. Emulsion stability showed a similar trend to that of emulsion capacity. RCP had higher oft absorption capacity and lower water absorption capacity than SPI.

  • The SVC(Static Var Compensator) resulted from the FACTS technology can generate or absorb reactive power rapidly so as to increase the transient and voltage stability. In this paper, the SVC is applied to the power system in order to improve the total transfer capability from a viewpoint of static voltage stability and the effects of application of the SVC to the power system are analyzed. The IPLAN, which is a high level language used with PSS/E program, is employed for determining the total transfer capability.

난황 항체의 안정성에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Stability of Hen′s Egg Yolk Immunoglobulins)

  • Immunoglobulins (IgY) were isolated from egg yolk of hens immunized with bovine serum albumin(BSA). The stability of anti-BSA IgY against heat and pH was investigated. Antibody activity was measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. IgY was relatively heat-stable and most of the antibody activity remained after heating up 65$^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes. IgY was stable at pH 5-11. However, inactivation of IgY was observed below pH 4, or above pH 12. Inactivation of IgY proceeded rapidly at low pHs(pH 2-3). Most of the antigen binding activity was lost at low pHs probably because of some conformational changes.

Effect of extraction conditions on the stability and safety of sericin

  • To assess the feasibility of silk sericin for non-textile application, the storage stability and biological safety of sericin were examined. It was extracted at 37℃, 70℃, 100℃, and 121℃ for 1, 3, and 5 h to elucidate the effect of extraction condition on the stability and safety of silk sericin. The solubility was increased till approximately 26% with extraction temperature of 121℃ for 1 h. Sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) showed that the molecular weight distribution depended on the extraction conditions. Extracted sericin displayed typical UV absorption bands upon spectrometric analysis. To examine the reproducibility of its obtained conformation, sericin was extracted thrice and its circular dichroism (CD) spectra was measured each time. Most CD spectra showed reproducibility regardless of temperature and time except under 100℃ extraction condition. The diversity of CD spectrum showed gradual reduction and was finally coincident with extraction time from 1 to 5 h. Notably, sericin has a negative peak of approximately 200 nm attributed to random coil conformation, regardless of extraction condition. However, at the 100℃ extraction condition, sericin showed both bands to be negative bands of approximately 200 and 220 nm, respectively. Sericin was centrifuged to determine the stability of storage conditions. The sericin extracted at 100℃ and 121℃ for 1 h was found to form gel rapidly within 1 h, but at 121℃ condition, the gel fraction was approximately 20% within 1 h which retained its phase regardless of storage time. The gel fraction of sericin extracted at 100℃ for 5 h increased with time, however at the 121℃ for 5 h condition, the gel fraction was measured to be less than 10% regardless of increase in storage time. PetriflimTM AC plates test showed that sericin was safe from aerobic bacteria activity by extraction under high temperature.
