The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of adolescent's environmental education experience and peer group on pro-environmental consumption behavior The survey study administered 610 questionnaires to general high school students in Daegu. The main findings of this study were as follows. First, adolescent's pro-environmental purchase behavior was positively correlated to the degree of participation in environment-related events in school, the mother's pro-environmental purchase, use and disposal behavior and environment education experience in society, while the peer group's pro-environmental purchase was positively correlated to use and disposal behavior Also adolescent's pro-environmental use behavior was positively correlated to the mother's pro-environmental purchase, use and disposal behavior, the peer group's pro-environmental purchase, and use and disposal behavior. Adolescent's pro-environmental disposal behavior was positively correlated to the degree of participation in environment-related events in school, the mother's pro-environmental purchase, use and disposal behavior, environment education experience in society, the peer group's pro-environmental purchase, and use and disposal behavior. Second, adolescent's pro-environmental purchase behavior was influenced to the greatest extent by the peer group's pro-environmental purchase behavior, followed by the mother's pro-environmental purchase behavior and use behavior, and to a lesser extent, tv environment education experience in society. Objectives: We aimed to examine health-related nutritional knowledge and dietary behavior related to caffeine intake among high school students (n = 310) in the Yongin region of Korea. Methods: Data were collected using a face-to-face survey, and analyzed using chi-square test, t- test, and logistic regression analysis. Results: The level of caffeine intake in respondents was divided into low (< 30 mg/d; n = 208) and high caffeine intake groups (> 30 mg/d; n = 102). Total nutritional knowledge related to bone disease was higher in the low intake group (score 2.75) than the high intake group (score 2.39; p < 0.05). The high intake group had lower scores for nutritional knowledge (score 0.70; p < 0.05) related to how caffeinated beverages affect sleep and for dietary behavior (score 3.25; p < 0.001), based on "I avoid caffeinated foods before sleep," than the low intake group (nutritional knowledge score, 0.80; dietary behavior score, 3.76). Conclusion: In the overall analysis, the low caffeine intake group had better nutritional knowledge related to bone and sleep health, and healthier dietary behavior related to sleep health compared with the high intake group.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare fatigue and fatigue-regulation behaviors in undergraduates courses related to public health (group A) and undergraduates in courses not related to public health (group B). Method: Using a structured questionnaire, data were collected from 236 undergraduates. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, t-test with SAS package were used for data analysis, Results: There was a statistically significant difference between group A and group B in t-test comparison by group for fatigue, and all subcategories of fatigue and fatigue-regulation behaviors. The frequency of fatigue-regulation behavior of group A was 12.23 and the mean for total efficiency of fatigue-regulation behavior was 2.17, while the frequency of fatigue-regulation behavior for group B was 10.47 and the mean for total efficiency of fatigue-regulation behavior was 1.75. Finally, total fatigue and all subcategories of fatigue were positively related to fatigue-regulation behaviors. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop an intervention program for regulating fatigue in undergraduates courses related to public health.
Purpose: The study was done to investigate behavioral problems in toddlers who were born prematurely and to analyze related factors. Methods: A cross-sectional explorative study was conducted with 72 preterm birth (PTB) children at 24 to 41 months of corrected age who were born at 28 to 37 weeks' gestation. During home visits, behavior problems were assessed using the Behavior Rating Index for Children (BRIC). Using a BRIC score of ${\geq}30$, children with suspected behavior problems were grouped in the non-regular behavior group. Results: Of the children, 38.9% belong to the non-regular behavior group. The mental development index score for the Korean-Bayley Scale of Infant Development- II was higher for the non-regular behavior group compared to the regular behavior group (t=2.26, p=.027). Logistic regression analysis showed that lower maternal attachment (<96, OR=3.4, 95% CI[1.1, 10.4]) and higher parenting stress (${\geq}97$, OR=4.8, 95% CI[1.3, 17.3]) were independently related to non-regular behavior. Conclusion: PTB Toddlers are at risk for behavior problems which are associated with low cognitive performance. Maternal-child attachment and maternal parenting stress were strongly related to behavior problems in these children. More attention is needed to understand possible behavior problems in young children with PTB, particularly focusing on maternal-child interaction and maternal mental well-being.
Purpose: This study was to identify the influence of sexual behavior, body image, social support, and other characteristics on sexual satisfaction in patients with breast cancer according to their participation in a support group. Method: Data was collected by self-report questionnaires. Participants included 63 patients attending a support group and 76 patients who did not participate in the support group. The questionnaire sections consisted of sexual satisfaction, sexual behavior, body image, social support and information on general characteristics, disease-related characteristics, and sexual life-related characteristics. Result: There was no statistically significant difference in sexual behavior, body image and sexual satisfaction between the two groups. Social support scores were significantly higher in the support group. Sexual satisfaction was positively related with sexual behavior, post-op change of sexual intercourse frequency, body image, and patient's education level, and negatively related to age in the support group. Sexual satisfaction was positively related with sexual behavior, social support and body image in the non support group. Sexual behavior is predictable 37.0% of sexual satisfaction in the support group. Sexual behavior, body image, and social support is predictable for 38.0% of the sexual satisfaction in non support group participants. Conclusion: Implications point to the need for the development and implementation of programs that focus specifically on sexual life issues for breast cancer patients, as well as further research measuring the effects of such intervention programs. Continuous education and counseling through participation in support groups can contribute to promote and affirm a healthy sexual life for patients with breast cancer.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify factors related to nurses' organizational citizenship behavior using multilevel analysis which included both nurse characteristics at individual levels and nursing unit characteristics at group levels. Methods: The sample was composed of 1,996 nurses who were selected from 182 nursing units in 28 hospitals in six metropolitan cities and seven provinces using cluster sampling. Data were collected using self-reported questionnaires from February to March 2006. Results: The results of the study indicated that individual level variables related to organizational citizenship behavior were religion, job position, clinical career, self efficacy, positive affectivity, and supervisor support. The group level variables related to organizational citizenship behavior were collective efficacy, number of nurses in a nursing unit, and the average salary level of a nursing unit. 30.9% of individual level variances of organizational citizenship behavior were explained by the nurses' individual level variables. The explanatory power of group level variables, which is related to group level variances of organizational citizenship behavior, was 75.5%. Conclusion: This research showed that it was necessary to develop appropriate strategies related to not only individual factors, but also higher-level organizational factors such as collective efficacy, to improve individual performances in the hospital.
The purpose of this study was to identify the appearance-oriented, appearance-related consumption behavior according to appearance instrumentality. Questionnaires were administered to 460 males and females of 20 to 30 living in Daegu. The SPSS 20.0 package was utilized for data analysis which included frequency analysis, factor analysis, cronbach's ${\alpha}$, t-test, regression analysis. Three factors of appearance instrumentality (social achievement, sexual attractiveness, social relationship formation), two factors of appearance-oriented and five factors of appearance-related consumption behavior were utilized for the problem analysis of the study. The results of this study were: First, there was significant differences in the appearance coordination oriented and appearance management oriented according to group of social achievement (high, low) and group of sexual attractiveness (high, low). But social relationship formation(high, low) had not significant differences in appearance oriented. Second, group of social achievement (high, low) were significant differences in cosmetic surgery behavior and fashion behavior, group of sexual attractiveness (high, low) showed a significant differences in cosmetic surgery behavior, hair management behavior and fashion behavior. But group of social relationship formation (high, low) had not significant differences on all of appearance management behavior. Third, appearance coordination oriented was a influences on beauty management behavior, cosmetic surgery behavior, hair style management behavior, fashion behavior. And appearance management oriented was influences on body management behavior, hair style management behavior, fashion behavior.

This study was planned to test the educational effects of self-guiding environmental interpretation panel. For purpose of the study, self-guiding interpretation panel was set up along the trail of green shower area of Kwang-Reung Arboretum in 1995,and the environmental behavior related variables such as attitude, locus of control, personal responsibility, general knowledge, and intention to act were closen based on Hines and his colleagues' Responsible Environmental Behavior model(1987). The pre-test/post-test non-random control group design was introduced fo test the effects of panel. ANCOVA was used to test the differences between experimental and control group because of the need to consider the effects of other variable such as socio-economic variables on the changes of environmental behavior related variables. Among 5 environmental behavior related variables, the changes of attitude and knowledge were significantly different between experimental group and control group, and the experimental group's direction of change was more favorable for environment. It is concluded that the educational effects of self-guiding interpretation panel were partially accepted. Several recommendations and restrictions of the study are presented.
The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between consumer's perceived risks and return behavior on internet clothing shopping. Questionnaires were distributed to the consumers, total 517, males and females, aged from 20 to 39, who had experience of clothing purchasing through internet shopping malls. The results showed that consumer's return factors related to the perceived risks on internet shopping process. The results were as follows. First, factors of perceived risks in internet clothing shopping were categorized into product performance, account-related, delivery, economic, and social psychological risk. 5 consumer types of perceived risk were segmented by low-perceived risk group, product performance/delivery-perceived risk group, account related-perceived risk group, harmony with oneself/account related-perceived risk group, and harmony with others/economic-perceived risk group. Second, the consumer's perceived risks on internet shopping process affected one's return behavior. The factors of return was differentiated on the types of consumer's perceived risk. The relation between consumer's perceived risks and return behavior on internet clothing shopping was significant. Therefore company had better draw various strategies to manage consumer's perceived risk, in order to reduce the returns and improve consumer's satisfaction.
