Industrial WSNs need great performance and reliable communication. In industrial WSNs, cluster structure reduces the cost to form a network, and the reservation-based MAC is a more powerful and reliable protocol than the contention-based MAC. Depth-based TDMA assigns time slots to each sensor node in a cluster-based network and it works in a distributed manner. DB-TDMA is a type of depth-based TDMA and guarantees scalability and energy efficiency. However, it cannot allocate time slots in parallel and cannot perfectly avoid a collision because each node does not know the total network information. In this paper, we suggest an improved distributed algorithm to reduce the end-to-end delay of DB-TDMA, and the proposed algorithm is compared with DRAND and DB-TDMA.
The benefits of network coding in all-optical multicast networks have been widely demonstrated. In this paper, we mainly discuss the multicast service efficiently provisioning problem in the network coding enabled elastic optical networks (EONs). Although most research on routing and spectrum allocation (RSA) has been widely studied in the elastic optical networks (EONs), rare research studies RSA for multicast in the network coding enabled EON, especially considering the time delay constraint. We propose an efficient heuristic algorithm, called Network Coding based Multicast Capable-Multipath Routing and Spectrum Allocation (NCMC-MRSA) to solve the multipath RSA for multicast services in the network coding enabled EON. The well-known layered graph approach is utilized for NCMC-MRSA, and two request ordering strategies are utilized for multiple multicast requests. From the simulation results, we observe that the proposed algorithm NCMC-MRSA performs more efficient spectrum utilization compared with the benchmark algorithms. NCMC-MRSA utilizing the spectrum request balancing (SRB) ordering strategy shows the most efficient spectrum utilization performance among other algorithms in most test networks. Note that we also observe that the efficiency of NCMC-MRSA shows more obvious than the benchmark algorithm in large networks. We also conduct the performance comparisons of two request ordering strategies for NCMC-MRSA. Besides, we also evaluate the impact of the number of the linkdisjoint parallel w paths on the spectrum utilization performance of the proposed algorithm NCMC-MRSA. It is interesting to find that the change of the parameter w in a certain range has a significant impact on the performance of NCMC-MRSA. As the parameter w increases to a certain value, the performances of NCMC-MRSA cannot be affected by the change of w any more.

In GRID environments, an efficient load balancing algorithm should be adopted since the system performances of GRID system are not homogeneous. In this work, a new two-step mesh-partitioning scheme based on the graph-partitioning scheme was introduced to consider the difference of system performance. In the two-step mesh-partitioning scheme, the system performance weights were calculated to reflect the effect of heterogeneous system performances and WEVM(Weighted Edge and vertex Method) was adopted to minimize the increase' of communications. Numerical experiments were carried out in multi-cluster environment and WAN (Wide Area Network) environment to investigate the effectiveness of the two-step mesh-partitioning scheme.

This paper proposes algorithms that design the highly parallel multiple-valued logic circuit of DTG(Directed Tree Graph) to be represented by tree structure relationship between input and output of nodes. The conventional Nakajima's algorithms have some problems so that this paper introduce the concept of mathematical analysis based on tree structure to design optimized locally computable circuit. Using the proposed circuit design algorithms in this paper it is possible to design circuit in that DTG have any node number - not to design by Nakajima's algorithms. Also, making a comparison between the circuit design using Nakajim's algorithms and this paper's, we testify that proposed algorithms in this paper optimizes circuit design all case of DTG. Some examples are shown to demonstrate the usefulness of the circuit design algorithm.

A graph embedding problem has been studied for applications of resource allocation and mapping the underlying data structure of a parallel algorithm into the interconnection architecture of massively parallel processing systems. In this paper, we consider the embedding problem of the pyramid into the regular 2-dimensional mesh interconnection network topology. We propose a new embedding function which can embed the pyramid of height N into 2$^{N}$ x2$^{N}$ 2-dimensional mesh with dilation max{2$^{N1}$-2. [3.2$^{N4}$+1)/2, 2$^{N3}$+2. [3.2$^{N4}$+1)/2]}. This means an improvement in the dilation measure from 2$^{N}$$^1$in the previous result into about (5/8) . 2$^{N1}$ under the same condition.condition.

With the growth of AI technology, the scale of Knowledge Graphs continues to be expanded. Knowledge Graphs are mainly expressed as RDF representations that consist of connected triples. Many RDF storages compress and transform RDF triples into the condensed IDs. However, if we try to transform a large scale of RDF triples, it occurs the high processing time and memory overhead because it needs to search the large ID mapping table. In this paper, we propose the method of converting RDF triples using Hash-based ID mapping tables with MapReduce, which is the software framework with a parallel, distributed algorithm. Our proposed method not only transforms RDF triples into Integer-based IDs, but also improves the conversion speed and memory overhead. As a result of our experiment with the proposed method for LUBM, the size of the dataset is reduced by about 3.8 times and the conversion time was spent about 106 seconds.

In a distributed heterogeneous computing system, the performance of a parallel application greatly depends on its task scheduling algorithm. Therefore, in order to improve the performance, it is essential to consider some factors that can have effect on the performance of the parallel application in a given environment. One of the most important factors that affects the total execution time is a critical path. In this paper, we propose the CLTS algorithm for a task scheduling. The CLTS sets the priorities of all nodes to improve overall performance by applying leveling method to improve parallelism of task execution and by reducing the delay caused by waiting for execution of critical nodes in priority phase. After that, it conditionally uses insertion based policy or duplication based policy in processor allocation phase to reduce total schedule time. To evaluate the performance of the CLTS, we compared the CLTS with the DCPD and the HCPFD in our simulation. The results of the simulations show that the CLTS is better than the HCPFD by 7.29% and the DCPD by 8.93%. with respect to the average SLR, and also better than the HCPFD by 9.21% and the DCPD by 7.66% with respect to the average speedup.

One of the systematic ways to generate the number of all cases is a combination to construct a combination tree, and its time complexity is O($2^n$). A combination tree is used for various purposes such as the graph homogeneity problem, the initial model for calculating frequent item sets, and so on. However, algorithms that must search the number of all cases of a combination are difficult to use realistically due to high time complexity. Nevertheless, as the amount of data becomes large and various studies are being carried out to utilize the data, the number of cases of searching all cases is increasing. Recently, as the GPU environment becomes popular and can be easily accessed, various attempts have been made to reduce time by parallelizing algorithms having high time complexity in a serial environment. Because the method of generating the number of all cases in combination is sequential and the size of sub-task is biased, it is not suitable for parallel implementation. The efficiency of parallel algorithms can be maximized when all threads have tasks with similar size. In this paper, we propose a method to efficiently collaborate between CPU and GPU to parallelize the problem of finding the number of all cases. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm, we analyze the time complexity in the theoretical aspect, and compare the experimental time of the proposed algorithm with other algorithms in CPU and GPU environment. Experimental results show that the proposed CPU and GPU collaboration algorithm maintains a balance between the execution time of the CPU and GPU compared to the previous algorithms, and the execution time is improved remarkable as the number of elements increases.

Matrix-star and Half-Pancake graphs are modified versions of Star graphs, and has some good characteristics such as node symmetry and fault tolerance. This paper analyzes embedding between Matrix-star and Half-Pancake graphs. As a result, Matrix-star graphs $MS_{2,n}$ can be embedded into Half-Pancake graphs $HP_{2n}$ with dilation 5 and expansion 1. Also, Half Pancake Graphs, $HP_{2n}$ can be embedded into Matrix Star Graphs, $MS_{2,n}$ with the expansion cost, O(n). This result shows that algorithms developed from Star Graphs can be applied at Half Pancake Graphs with additional constant cost because Star Graphs, $S_n$ is a part graph of Matrix Star Graphs, $MS_{2,n}$.

In this paper, an effective method has been proposed for selection of white Gaussian noise(WGN) band for radio background noise measurement system under broad band noise environment. MMN which comes from industrial devices and equipment mostly happens in the shape of broad band noise mostly like impulsive noise and this is the main reason for increasing level in the present radio noise measurements. The existing method based on singular value decomposition has weak point that it cannot give good performance for the broad band signal because it uses signal's white property. The proposed method overcomes such a weakness of singular value decomposition based method by using signal's Gaussian property based method in parallel. Moreover, this proposed method hires a modelling based method which uses parameter estimation algorithm like maximum likelihood estimation(MLE) and gives more accurate result than the method using amplitude probability distribution(APD) graph. Experiment results under the natural environment has done to verify feasibility of the proposed method.
