대학생의 음주문제, 스트레스, 우울, 자아존중감 (Drinking Problems, Stress, Depression and Self-esteem of University Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify predictors on drinking problems of university students. Methods: The participants were 359 students by convenience sampling in P city. Data were collected from October 15 to December 20, 2007 using drinking problems questionnaire, Global assessment of recent stress scale, CES-D and self-esteem scale. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: There were positive correlations between stress and drinking problems, between depression and drinking problems. Also, there were negative correlations between stress and self-esteem, between depression and self-esteem. In stepwise multiple regression analysis, the most powerful predictor of drinking problems was depression. Conclusion: The results suggest that effective management of depression and stress can be considered when developing a prevention program of drinking problems for university students.

노인의 여가활동과 생활만족도가 자아존중감에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Self-Esteem between Leisure Activity and Life Satisfaction of the Elderly)

  • Purpose: This research concludes the 110 male and female elderlies who are over 60 years old in C welfare center of G city to examine the effect of self-esteem between leisure activity and life satisfaction. Method: The types of participation leisure consist of 20 questions in five different categories. To measure the value of life satisfaction, the scale of life satisfaction for the elderly which is developed by Choi (1986) is used. The self-esteem was measured by the scale developed by Rosenberg (1965) and translated by Jeon (1974). The data were analyzed by SPSS including frequency, ANOVA, Duncan, Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression. Result: There was significant relationship among leisure activity and life satisfaction (r= .410, p= .000), leisure activity and self-esteem (r= .432, p= .000) and life satisfaction and self-esteem (r= .765, p= .000). After testing how leisure activity has effect on the self-esteem, it appears to be 17.9% and after adding life satisfaction it increases to be 59.5%. Conclusion: Synthesizing all following results, there were needed to bepersonal and global effort in many ways to satisfy the economical need of the elderly, and more supports onincreasing participation of the elderly in leisure.

양육행동 및 형제관계와 아동의 자존감과의 관계 연구 : - 자존감에 대한 양육행동 및 형제관계의 독립적 기여와 상호작용 효과 - (Parental Childrearing, Behavior, Children's Sibling Relationships and Children's Self-Esteem)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate how parental childrearing behavior and children's sibling relationships are related to children's self-esteem. 440 middle class families consisting of two children and their parents were the subjects of this study. The research instruments included a childrearing behavior questionnaire, the Sibling Relationships Questionnaire (Furman & Buhrmester, 1985), and the Self-Perception Profile for Children (Harter, 1985). Analyses of the data included correlation analysis, canonical correlation, regression, stepwise multiple regression, and MANOVA with stepwise discriminant analysis as the follow-up test. The most powerful predictors of children's self-esteem were the Warmth-Acceptance of childrearing behavior and the Warmth-Closeness of sibling relationships. The self-esteem dimension was best predicted by parental childrearing behavior and by children's sibling relationships was Global Self-Worth. Behavioral Conduct was best predicted by the Rejection-Restriction factor of childrearing, and by Conflict (for boys) and Rivalry (for girls) factors of sibling relationships. Children's self-esteem was related more strongly to the Warmth-Acceptance and the Rejection-Restriction of opposite-sex parents. The effects of Permissiveness-Nonintervention were stronger in same-sex parent-child dyads. Parental childrearing behaviors accounted for boy's self-esteem better than girl's with the exception of Behavioral Conduct. Sibling relationships accounted for girl's self-esteem better than boy's. The $2{\times}2$ MANOVA revealed interaction effects of parental childrearing behaviors and sibling relationships on children's self-esteem. Two factors of Rivalry and Conflict in sibling relationships and all three factors of childrearing behaviors showed significant interaction effects, The childrearing factor of Permissiveness-Nonintervention and the sibling factor of Rivalry, which were relatively weak predictors of self-esteem when acting alone, gained power in explaining children's self-esteem within the interactional context.

협동학습 교수.학습과정안 개발 및 협동학습이 자아존중감에 미치는 효과 - 가정과 중2 식생활 단원을 중심으로 - (Development of Cooperative Learning Lesson Plan and the Effect of Cooperative Learning on Students` Self-esteem - Focused on the Food and Nutrition Section of Middle School Home Economics -)

  • The purpose of this study were to develop cooperative learning lesson plan for middle school home economics class and to identify the effect of cooperative learning on students\` self-esteem. The content of lesson was chosen from the food and nutrition section of home economics textbooks for middle school. The main structure of the lesson plan stems from $\boxDr$Lesson Plan Guide of Structuring Cooperative Learning Lesson Plan for Teachers$\boxUl$ by D. Johnson. R Johnson and E. Holubec. Various kinds of references including media reading materials cooperative group activity reports and cooperative group activity checking lists were newly developed according to the content of lesson. Eight hour lesson plans were developed and applied to 2nd grade middle school students and pre-test and post-test were taken to test the effect of Johnson\`s cooperative learning method on students\` self-esteem. Students at a Middle School located in Seoul were divided into two grouts, the three classes as experimental group and the other three classes as control group. The data were analyzed by ANCOVA using SPSS/WIN program. As a result, the hypothesis that the degree of self-esteem of the experimental group is higher than that of control group was adopted (P.(001). Among the sub-factors of self -esteem. the global self-esteem and the social-peer self-esteem scores of the experimental group were higher than that of the control group(p.(001 each). but the school-academic self-esteem score was not different (p> .05) According to the post-experiment free-style report. student as a dynamic subject could get initiatives and interests in home economics class more effectively by cooperative learning. Therefore, it could be said that cooperative learning has positive effect on the promotion of students\` self-esteem and is considered to be a good teaching method of home economics subject.

교육연극이 만 5세 아동의 또래지위별 또래수용도와 자아존중감에 미치는 영향 (Does Educational Theater Work with Kindergarten Children The Impacts of Educational Theater on Children's Peer Acceptance and Self-Esteem)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the impacts of educational theater on 5-years-old children, and more specifically, to find out whether the effects of the theater on children's peer acceptance and self-esteem are different by peer social statuses, that are, popular, average, and neglected/rejected Fifty seven children participated in this study and were evaluated with the Sociometric Test (Coie & Dodge, 1983). The experimental subgroup (N=28) participated in the programmed educational theater for 9 sessions. The dependent variables were measured by the peer acceptance items of Sociometric Test as well as the Self-Perception Profile based on SPPC (Halter, 1985), and the same tests were administered twice, before and after the experiment. Covariance analyses showed significant differences between experimental and control groups, for the children in the neglected/rejected category, in peer acceptance and social acceptance dimension of self-esteem. Global self-worth among children of popular and average categories, and total self-esteem among children of average category were also improved by the theater program. These results imply that educational theater programs can be used effectively to promote young children's social adjustment.

비행청소년과 일반청소년의 비교를 통한 교정정책연구 -자아존중감과 사회성을 중심으로- (A Study on the Correctional Policy through Comparison of Juvenile Delinquents and Normal Adolescents: Focusing on Self-esteem and Sociality)

  • 본 연구는 소년보호처분을 받은 비행청소년과 일반 중 고등학교 남학생들의 자아존중감과 사회성에 대한 영역별 차이를 비교분석해 보고, 청소년비행 예방을 위한 교정 정책방안 모색을 목적으로 한다. 대전시에 소재하고 있는 소년원생(84명)과 일반 중 고등학교의 남학생(230명)을 설문조사하였다. 분석결과, 자아존중감 차이분석에서는 총체적 자아존중감과 학교 자아존중감에서 비행청소년이 높게 나타났으나, 가정적 자아존중감 영역에서만 일반청소년이 높은 결과를 보였다. 사회성의 하위 영역의 지도성에서는 비행청소년이 높은 결과를 보였고, 자주성과 협동성에서는 일반청소년이 높게 나타났다. 결론적으로 각 개인의 특성과 환경에 따라 자아존중감과 사회성의 차이는 영역별로 다르게 나타나기 때문에, 맞춤형 설계를 통한 비행예방 교정정책의 방안이 효과적임을 시사하는 바이다.

대학생이 지각하는 스트레스와 우울 및 자아존중감 (The Degree of Perceived Stress, Depression and Self Esteem of University Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to provide the basic data for university students to develop program for achieving successful developmental task. Method: The subjects involved this study were 462 1-4th grade university students located at Kangwon-Do & Chungchung-Do. Data were measured using Global assessment of recent stress scale, CES-D and Self-esteem scale. Data were analyzed using SPSS WIN 17.0 program that included mean, standard deviation, ANOVA, Sheffe test and Pearson correlation coefficients. Results: 1) The mean score of the degree of perceived stress was 4.17(${\pm}1.43$), depression was .92(${\pm}.47$), and self esteem was 2.89(${\pm}.48$). 2) There were significant differences in the degree of stress according to gender(t=2.03, p=.043), level of living(F=3.55, p=.029). Likewise, there were significant differences in the degree of depression according to gender(t=3.35, p=.001), age(t=2.15, p=.032), level of living(F=3.38, p=.035) and in the degree of self-esteem there were significant difference according to gender(t=3.64, p<.001), age(t=2.81, p=.005), participation of regular meeting or not(t=3.14, p=.002), frequency of alcohol drinking(F=5.59, p=.004), onset age of alcohol drinking(t=2.43, p=.016). 4) There was a significant relationship between stress and depression(r=.556, p<.001), self-esteem (r=-.423, p<.001). Also, there was a significant relationship between depression and self esteem(r=-.667, p<.001). Conclusions: Nursing interventions and educational programs which can help the students to accomplish the developmental tasks required.

청소년의 적응에 대한 Beavers의 Ssytems 모델의 유용성 (The Usefulness of Beavers Systems Model on Adolescent Adjustment)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the usefulness of Beavers Systems Model on adolescent adjustment. For this study adolescents' perceptions of family health/competence family style and adolescent adjustment were utilized. The 443 subjects were selected randomly from the second grade of middle schools and high schools in the city of Taegu. The instruments of measurement were SFI II State-Trait Anxiety Inventory Depression Scale Self-Esteem Scale and Delinquency Scale. Factor Analysis Cronbach's a, MANOVA and Scheffe test were conducted for the data analysis. The conclusion of this research findings was as follows: There is significant differences I nadolescents' anxiety depression global self-esteem social-peer self esteem property predatory behaviors and school-norm avoidant behaviors by the family functioning types of BSM. Therefore the group classification by BSM was generally useful in evaluating adolescent adjustment.

일부지역 대학생의 자아존중감과 취업, 외모의 관련성 연구 (The Relationship between Self-Esteem and Employment, Appearance of University Students in Some Regions)

  • 본 연구는 2015년 5~6월 기간 동안 D지역 대학교 학생 483명을 대상으로 성별, 학년별, 전공계열별 자아존중감, 취업, 외모 관련성을 조사하였다. 자아존중감은 1, 4학년에서 높게 조사되었으며 소속계열별 군사경찰대학, 의과(학)대학이 높게 조사되었다. 취업스트레스는 4학년이 가장 높게 조사되었으며 세무경영대학, 의료공과대학이 높게 조사되었다. 취업준비행동은 4학년이 가장 높게 조사되었고 재활복지교육대학이 가장 높았다. 외모관심도와 외모관리행동은 여학생, 4학년이 높게 나타났고 세무경영대학에서 높게 나타났다. 자아존중감 상위군이 하위군보다 취업준비행동, 외모관심도, 외모관리행동 모두 통계적으로 유의하게 높게 나타났고 자아존중감, 취업, 외모의 상관관계 분석결과에서 자아존중감이 높으면 취업준비행동도 높은 것으로 나타났으며 취업 스트레스는 적은 것으로 조사되었다. 그리고 취업스트레스가 높으면 취업준비행동도 많이 하는 것으로 조사되었다. 결론적으로 대학생활에서 자아존중감을 높이는 교육이 취업스트레스를 감소시키고 취업준비행동을 높일 수 있을 것이다.

기부행동의 영향요인에 대한 탐색적 연구 : 자아존중감과 복지책임주체 인식을 중심으로 (An Exploratory Study on Factors influencing the Giving Behavior : focusing on Self-Esteem and Perceived Responsibility toward Social Welfare)

  • 기부행동은 자신이 가지고 있는 재정적 자원을 남과 공유함으로써 사회가 필요로 하는 자선과 복지 분야에 기여한다. 기부행동의 원동력에는 소득, 연령대, 성별, 종교, 교육수준, 주거지역, 조세정책 등과 같은 사회 인구학적 요소들이 포함된다. 본 연구에서는 소득수준을 포함하는 사회 인구학적 특성 외에 자아존중감과 복지책임주체에 대한 인식 등의 요인을 중심으로 기부에 대한 참여 여부, 기부노력 등에 미치는 영향을 분석해보고자 하였다. 한국복지패널조사자료를 바탕으로 통계적 분석을 시도한 결과, 소득과 자아존중감은 기부에의 참여의도에 긍정적 영향을 미치나, 복지책임주체가 정부에 있다고 생각할수록 참여의도에는 부정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 소득에 대한 기부액수 비율로 정의되는 기부노력은 소득만이 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났는데, 소득이 높을수록 상대적으로 낮은 비율의 기부를 한다는 의미로 해석할 수 있다. 자아존중감이나 복지책임주체에 대한 인식은 기부노력에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 분석되었다.
