Although the relationship between income and income inequality has previously been discussed, the present study applies a dynamic approach to analyze the specific relationship between forest household income and income inequality. For this analysis, a unit root test and a cointegration test were conducted to characterize the nature of income time-series data. After converting unstable time-series data into stable time-series data, a VAR model was estimated. Based on this model, an impulse-response was generated and variance-decomposition analysis was performed. These analyses showed that the effect of forest household income was relatively larger than that of the Gini coefficient, and that the impact of forest household income not only caused income to increase but also caused the Gini coefficient to decrease. In addition, the impact of the Gini coefficient had an impact on reducing forest household income and further increasing income inequality. We conclude that, with the aim of alleviating the inequality of forest household income, an income growth policy would be more effective than an income distribution policy.
The purpose of this study was to identify the impact of various income sources on income inequality of forestry households. Data from the Forestry Household Economy Survey from 2013-2016 were analyzed using the Gini coefficient decomposition method via income source. In particular, the income inequality analysis of forestry households was broken down into separate analyses based on group, i.e., the whole of forestry households and the five income quintile classes. The results of the analyses showed that income inequality of forestry households is primarily affected by forestry and nonforestry incomes and income quintile class. Moreover, income inequality of the highest income quintile class was largely affected by forestry income compared with other sources of income, whereas that of other income quintile classes was largely affected by nonforestry income. Therefore, in order to reduce income inequality in forestry households, it is necessary to increase the proportion of forestry income in the lower four quintile classes. Given that the income of the lowest quintile class is negative, it is necessary to devise ways to improve the proportion and quantity of forestry income. At the same time, as forestry income increases, a policy alternative is also required to improve inequality in forestry income.

In this paper, the guaranteed cost filtering design method for linear time delay systems with convex bounded uncertainties in discrete-time case is presented. The uncertain parameters are assumed to be unknown but belonging to known convex compact set of polytotype less conservative than norm bounded parameter uncertainty. The main purpose is to design a stable filter which minimizes the guaranteed cost. The sufficient condition for the existence of filter, the guaranteed cost filter design method, and the upper bound of the guaranteed cost are proposed. Since the proposed sufficient conditions are LMI(linear matrix inequality) forms in terms of all finding variables, all solutions can be obtained simultaneously by means of powerful convex programming tools with global convergence assured. Finally, a numerical example is given to check the validity of the proposed method.

In this article, we state and prove several new retarded nonlinear integral and integro-differential inequalities of Gronwall-Bellman-Pachpatte type. These inequalities generalize some former famous inequalities and can be used in examining the existence, uniqueness, boundedness, stability, asymptotic behaviour, quantitative and qualitative properties of solutions of nonlinear differential and integral equations. Applications are provided to demonstrate the strength of our inequalities in estimating the boundedness and global existence of the solution to initial value problem for nonlinear integro-differential equation and Volterra type retarded nonlinear equation. This research work will ensure to open the new opportunities for studying of nonlinear dynamic inequalities on time scale structure of varying nature.
This paper presents intelligent digital redesign method of global approach for hybrid state space fuzzy-model-based controllers. For effectiveness and stabilization of continuous-time uncertain nonlinear systems under discrete-time controller, Takagi-Sugeno(TS) fuzzy model is used to represent the complex system. And global approach design problems viewed as a convex optimization problem that we minimize the error of the norm bounds between nonlinearly interpolated lineal operators to be matched. Also, by using the bilinear and inverse bilinear approximation method, we analyzed nonlinear system's uncertain parts more precisely. When a sampling period is sufficiently small, the conversion of a continuous-time structured uncertain nonlinear system to an equivalent discrete-time system have proper reason. Sufficiently conditions for the global state-matching of the digitally controlled system are formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, a T-S fuzzy model for the chaotic Lorentz system is used as an example to guarantee the stability and effectiveness of the proposed method.
This paper measures the extent to which South Korea participated in global value chains (GVCs) from 1995 through 2011 and scrutinizes the consequences of such participation on the Korean economy. To this end, the World Input Output Database is utilized to calculate GVC income, GVC employment, and value-added exports created by Korean and foreign industries. Our findings show that Korea radically internationalized its production activities during the sample period, widening the gap between gross exports and value-added exports. We also document that Korea's participation in GVCs has changed the value-added and employment structures in domestic industries in accordance with their comparative advantages while exacerbating the degree of wage inequality.
In this paper, a class of bi-directional associative memory (BAM) fuzzy cellular neural networks with distributed delays and impulses is formulated and investigated. By employing an integro-differential inequality with impulsive initial conditions and the topological degree theory, some sufficient conditions ensuring the existence and global exponential stability of equilibrium point for impulsive BAM fuzzy cellular neural networks with distributed delays are obtained. In particular, the estimate of the exponential convergence rate is also provided, which depends on the delay kernel functions and system parameters. It is believed that these results are significant and useful for the design and applications of BAM fuzzy cellular neural networks. An example is given to show the effectiveness of the results obtained here.
This paper concerns the problem of global robust stability of a time-delay discontinuous system with a positive-defined connection matrix under polytopic-type uncertainty. In order to give the stability condition, we firstly address the existence of solution and equilibrium point based on the properties of M-matrix, Lyapunov-like approach and the theories of differential equations with discontinuous right-hand side as introduced by Filippov. Second, we give the delay-independent and delay-dependent stability condition in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), and based on Lyapunov function and the properties of the convex sets. One numerical example demonstrate the validity of the proposed criteria.
Nowadays 87 regimes born in the same year with the Korean Association for Political Economy(KAPE in abbreviation) have ended historically. This paper surveys the research trends of KAPE after 2007 for the 30th founding anniversary. This survey is expected to help research way forward of KAPE. The main contents of the surveys are as follows. Global finance crisis caused by subprime mortgage crisis in 2007 expanded to global economic crisis resulting in the crisis of economics. KAPE criticized the mainstream economics with different approach and methodology as well as political economy copying with the crisis of economics and then focused on economics of inequality. However, the progressive economics is depressed under the conservative regime after 2007. As a result, the progressive economics have experienced the crisis of reproduction of knowledge and have become the peripheral science in Korea. With new regimes after 87 regimes, more important than restoration of the progressive economics is rebirth as the progressive economics corresponding to new regime and new era. This is responsibility of KAPE as the single association of the progressive economics in Korea.
This paper deals with the problem of the global stabilization for a class of tension leg platform (TLP) nonlinear control systems. It is well known that, in general, the global asymptotic stability of the TLP subsystems does not imply the global asymptotic stability of the composite closed-loop system. Finding system parameters for stabilizing the control system is also an issue need to be concerned. In this paper, we give additional sufficient conditions for the global stabilization of a TLP nonlinear system. In particular, we consider a class of NN based Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy TLP systems. Using the so-called parallel distributed compensation (PDC) controller, we prove that this class of systems can be globally asymptotically stable. The proper design of system parameters are found by a swarm intelligence algorithm called Evolved Bat Algorithm (EBA). An illustrative example is given to show the applicability of the main result.
