Dependencies of thermal properties on the crystallization behavior of $0.9CaMgSi_2O_6-0.1MgSiO_3$ glass-ceramics were investigated as a function of heat-treatment temperature from $750^{\circ}C$ to $950^{\circ}C$. The crystallization behavior of the specimens depended on the heat-treatment temperature, which could be evaluated by differential thermal analysis (DTA), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis by the Rietveld-reference intensity ratio (RIR) combined procedure. With an increase of the heat-treatment temperature, the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of the heat-treated specimens increased. These results could be attributed to the increase of crystallization with heat-treatment temperature. However, the specific heat capacity of the heat-treated specimens was not affected by the heat-treatment temperature. The thermal conductivities measured from $25^{\circ}C$ to $100^{\circ}C$ were also discussed for application to lighting-emitting diode (LED) packages and substrate materials.
Fracture characteristics of plates and dome shapes for machinable glass ceramics using compressed shock wave. Machinable glass ceramics have been considered as a promising candidate material for the dome port cover of air breathing engine. This part of the air breathing engine has an important role separating solid and liquid fuel, and needs the frangible characteristics whereby the fracture of a part should not affect the internal components of combustion. The objective of this study are to evaluate the fracture pressure and phenomena of separated membrane using a shock tunnel. The experimental apparatus consists of driver, a driven section and a dump tank. The used material is machinable glass ceramic from Corning company. Specimens are used 3, 4.5 and 6mm thickness with plates and dome shapes. It is expected that the results obtained from this study can be used in the basic data for the dome port cover design of an air breathing engine.
The crystallization behaviour and the machinability of mica glass-ceramics with the content of F1 were studied. The material was made from the $K_2O-MgO-Al_2O_3-B_2O_3-SiO_2-F$ glasses by the heattreatment at 80$0^{\circ}C$-110$0^{\circ}C$ where the content of F-1 was changed in the range from 1, 3wt% to 6.1wt%. X-ray diffraction phase analysis and optical observation were adopted to study the crystallization behaviour. The machinability was measured by a manual sawing test and MOR. The crystal phases of these glass-ceramics identified by XRD were chondrodite fluoborite and norbergite at low temperature but fluorophlogopite at high temperature. The crystallization of glasses containing 1.3wt% -2.5wt% F-1 were predominately controlled by surface crystallization while the crystallization of glasses containing 3.8 wt% -6.1wt% F-1 were controlled by volume crystallization. Among the test the best machinability and strength value were obtained from those specimens contained fluoride 4.2wt% -4.4wt% and when the heattreatment was performed at 95$0^{\circ}C$-110$0^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours.

Glass-to-metal contact should be prevented in the design of any structural glass component. Because glass is extremely brittle and will fracture readily if even a small point load is applied. If the assembly includes a glass component supported by metallic structure, designers should provide a pliable interface of some kind between the two parts. But there happens high demand of glass-to metal contact in semiconductor industries due to adoption of dry cleaning process as one of the good solution to reduce running cost - carry out equipments cleaning with high corrosive and etching gas such as CF4 with keeping process temperature as the same as high service temperature. Therefore the quartz glass have to be received compression by direct contact with metal as the form of weight itself and vacuum pressure and fatigue by vibrations caused by process during the process. In this paper investigation will be carried out on fracture behavior of quartz glass contacted with metal directly under local load and fatigue given by process vibration with apparatus which can give $lox{\backslash}cal$ load and vibration through PZT ceramics to give guideline to prevent unintended fracture of quartz glass.
Dielectric materials with inherently high power densities and fast discharge rates are particularly suitable for pulsed power capacitors. The ongoing multifaceted efforts on developing these capacitors are focused on improving their energy density and storage efficiency, as well as ensuring their reliable operation over long periods, including under harsh environments. This review article summarizes the studies that have been conducted to date on the development of high-performance dielectric ceramics for employment in pulsed power capacitors. The energy storage characteristics of various lead-based and lead-free ceramics belonging to linear and nonlinear dielectrics are discussed. Various strategies such as mechanical confinement, self-confinement, core-shell structuring, glass incorporation, chemical modifications, and special sintering routes have been adopted to tailor the electrical properties and energy storage performances of dielectric ceramics. In addition, this review article highlights the challenges and opportunities associated with the development of pulsed power capacitors.
The MgO-{{{{ { {Al }_{2 }O }_{3 } }}-{{{{ { {SiO }_{2 } }_{ } }}system containing alumina powder was fabricated sintered at various temperature and analyzed in order to study the sintering mechanism and crystallization characteristics. The specimen composed of glass powder with average particle size of 8.27 $\mu\textrm{m}$ and 0-40 vol% alumina powder were sint-ered for 3 hrs at the temperature between 850$^{\circ}C$ and 1350$^{\circ}C$ The sintering mechanism consists of the redis-tribution of particles occuring at 750$^{\circ}C$ and the viscous flow at 850∼950$^{\circ}C$. The degree of crystallization and sintering temperatue were dependent upon the ratio of glass/alumina. The second phase from the reaction between glass and alumina was not observed which was confirmed by XRD and properties analysis. The density dielectric constant and specific resistivity of specimen were 2.30∼3.26g/cm2 5.8∼7.38 at 1 GHz density dielectric constant and specific resistivity of specimen were 2.30∼3.26g/cm3 5.8∼7.38 at 1GHz and 1.23∼4.70${\times}$107 $\Omega$$.$m respectively.

The crystalline and dielectric properties on Al$_2$O$_3$ filled glass frit (CaO-Al$_2$O$_3$-SiO$_2$-MgO-B$_2$O$_3$) with admixtures of TiO$_2$ have been investigated. The dielectric constant value of 7.5 ∼ 7.8, qualify factor value of 700 were obtained for glass frit : Al$_2$O$_3$(50 : 50 wt%) ceramics. Addition of TiO$_2$ less than 5 wt% slightly increased the dielectric constant from 7.8 to 8.8 due to higher dielectric constant of TiO$_2$. With increasing the amount of TiO$_2$ up to 5 wt%, the temperature coefficient of dielectric properties was improved. When the TiO$_2$ 5 wt% were added, dielectric properties were dielectric constant 8.8, quality factor 840 and the temperature coefficient of dielectric 45 ppm/$^{\circ}C$ at a sintering temperature 920$^{\circ}C$.
The crystallization behavior and electrical conductivity of the $CuO-Bi_2O_3-V_2O_5$ glasses with various CuO content were investigated. The glass formation regin was 0~20 mol% Bi2O3, 5~55 mol% CuO, and 30~90 mol% $V_2O_5$ with Tg=$275^{\circ}C$~$290^{\circ}C$. Among glasses with various compositions, the 31CuO-$14Bi_2O_3-55V_2O_5$ (mol%) glass heat-treated at $358^{\circ}C$ for 8 h showed the highest conductivity of ~ at room temperature. The heat-treated glasses increased in electrical conductivity by the order of 104 compared to non heat-treated glass. The linear relationship between 1n($\sigma$T)and $T^{-1}$ indicated that electrical conduction in the 31CuO-$14Bi_2O_3-55V_2O_5$ (mol%) glass occurred by a small polaron hopping.
The crystallization behaviors of slag-based glass in $CaO-MgO-Al_2O_3-SiO_2(-Na_2O)$ system have been studied. The mother glass containing 16.50 CaO, 7.50MgO, 19.70Al2O3, 50.80SiO3 and 2.09wt% $Na_2O$ was prepared by using Korean domestic raw materials such as granulated slag, serpentine, sea sand and etc. The glass-ceramics composed of major crystalline phase diopside was produced by the heat treatment in a temperature range from 850$^{\circ}$ to 9$25^{\circ}C$ for 0-6hr. The composition and morphology of diopside phase formed in the system were examined by X-ray diffraction analysis and electron microscopy. The kinetic measurements such as J.M. A plot and Arrhenius plot indicated that the process of nucleation of the initially formed diopside phase could be described from the view point of instantaneous nucleation. It was also demonstrated that the linear crystal growth of diopside phase was proceeded by short range diffusion of $Mg^{2+}$ and $Ca^{2+}$ ion. The microstructures of the resulting glass-ceramics were consisted of leafroidal shaped crystalline aggregations.

In this study, the microwave dielectric properties of nano spheroidization glass powders added $Ba(Zn_{1/3}Ta_{2/3})O_3$ ceramics prepared by solid state reaction have been investigated. Adding $(Ba_{0.4}Ca_{0.6})SiO_3$ nano spheroidization glass powders could effectively promote the densification even in the case of decreasing the sintering temperature. When the glass frit is 0.3 wt% and sintering is carried out at a temperature of $1500^{\circ}C$ for 6 hr, a temperature stable microwave dielectric ceramic could be obtained, which has a dielectric constant (${\varepsilon}_r$) of 30.2, a quality factor ($Q{\times}f_0$) of 124,000 GHz and a temperature coefficient of resonance frequency (${\tau}_f$) of $2ppm/^{\circ}C$.
