  • This study found that was done to find the commercial and physical distribution system of the agricultural physical distribution center of the agricultural co-operation and considers the receipt region of agricultural, livestock and marine products of the agricultural physical distribution center established for the efficiency and integration of physical distribution by season. And this study clarified the relationship between regional characteristics and regional types of distribution in accordance with the sales of each product. According to the research, the agricultural physical distribution center of Cheongju agricultural co-operation receives agricultural, livestock and marine products from all over the country as the core region in Chungcheongbuk-do and deliveries mainly to some regions in Chungcheongbuk-do, Chungcheongnam-do and Daejeon city. That's e agricultural, livestock and marine products that the agricultural physical distribution center of the agricultural co-operation deals with the required freshness. Therefore, the physical distribution center forms the regional physical distribution system to mainly receive products from the regions where are relatively near the center and to delivery to the nearby region. This delivery of agricultural, livestock and marine product significantly influences the sales strategy as well as the economic principles of demand and supply.

  • Advances in computer technology enabled us to simulate the integrated effects of various geomorphic processes on landscape evolution. This review introduces a theoretical framework for 2-dimensional numerical landscape evolution models (NLEMs) which have recently been used for various research purposes. In particular much attention is paid to the approaches deployed to model major geomorphic processes on a geological time scale in previous research. NLEMs can simulate landscape evolution by numerically solving the partial differential equation which represents the relationship among the geomorphic system components (GSCs). Simple process specifications of the relationships among GSCs on a long-term time scale in terms of quantification and attempts to combine processes represent the initial research on NLEMs. Later researchers have taken these simple NLEMs and elaborated on them. Introducing the theories of NLEMs in this review is expected to help researchers trying to utilize or develop NLEMs.

  • This research aims 1) to characterize the spatial distribution of low relief landforms (plains) via analyses of a Digital Elevation Model (DEM), 2) to classify plains according to morphological and genetic similarity, and 3) to develop a model to explain forming processes of plains in the Korean peninsula. Plains can easily be separated from high relief mountaneous areas by analyzing the DEM. The overall morphological and locational characteristics of plains can be categorized into lava plains, fluvial-marine plains, erosional plains, intermontane basins, and higher ground plains. It is concluded that the characteristic of each plain type is decided by base-level changes caused by tectonic uplift and sea-level changes, and topological relationship of different rock types. Different plain types do not exist independently, but connected with each others along stream networks. The model developed is able to combine the morphological characteristics of plains with the channel network to conceptualize characteristics and development pathways of plains in the Korean Peninsula.

  • This study aims to rethink the meaning of graphicacy, discuss the possible criteria to evaluate the level of graphicacy, and show how the graphicacy differs through different grades. First, it finds that as school grades advance, implicit information processing abilities, and conceptual information processing abilities were more required comparing to explicit information processing abilities, when interpreting graphic data. Secondly, the percentage of items which examinee showed a proficient level, decreased as school grades advanced. Thirdly, the graphicacy level of sixth graders was the status of being able to derive explicit information from pictorial maps and read implicit information in simple contour map or line graphs. Ninth graders were able to infer causal relationship between geographic phenomenons by utilizing graphic materials. Tenth graders could read graphic materials by utilizing simple knowledge and experience.

  • This paper attempts to focus the ways in which Seoul as an urban space can be read and interpreted from gender perspective, assuming Seoul as a cultural text which represents modernity and post-modernity. Drawing on discussions of urban sociology and human geography which have analyzed the relationship between material spaces and social subjects, this paper explores the gendered segregation and representations of space in Seoul which has been constructed through the process of modernization. The framework of spatial interpretation of Seoul, concentrating on imageablity and legibility, consists of three dimensions; gendered division of labour and sphere, dichotomy of representations along with femininity and masculinity, and the ways of interlocking between modernity and post-modernity. In this paper, 'fl$\check{a}$nerie', Benjamin's method of interpretation of urban culture and the way of seeing with 'speculum' of Irigaray are adopted as metaphoric methodologies. It is an attempt to develop a new methodology to analyze and interpret urban space from gender-cultural perspective.

  • Daily rainfall data from 14 stations during 1941 to 2000 were analyzed in order to examine the characteristics of the variation of summer rainfall and the identify relationship between the variation of summer rainfall and the variation of SOI(Southern Oscillation Index) and NPI(North Pacific Index), global temperature. For further investigation, study period is divided into two 30 year intervals, 1941-1970 and 1971-2000. There are the trend of increase in August and decrease in September in the later period compared with the earlier one. It was Mid-west in August where there is the largest variation. It is related to the increase of the frequency of heavy rainfall. The second period of extreme rainfall by ten days is absent, or it change from early in September to late in August. According to the result, the dry spell in August disappears and Changma is continued to early in September. Gradually, there is change from negative (or positive) to positive (or negative) to the rainfall anomaly of the mid of August and the mid of September (or July). The correlation between the variation of rainfall and oceanic variation and global temperature is statistically significant.

  • Spatial data mining has been developed to support spatial association knowledge between spatial features or its non-spatial attributes for an application areas. At the present time, a number of researchers attempt to the data mining techniques apply to the several analysis areas, for examples, civil engineering, environmental, agricultural areas. Despite the efforts that, until such time as not existed practical systems for the gCRMDMs. gCRMDMs is merged with very large spatial database and CRM information system. Also, it is discovery the association rule for the predictions of customer's shopping pattern informations in a huge database consisted with spatial and non-spatial dataset. For this goal, gCRMDMs need spatial data mining techniques. But, nowadays, in a most case not exist utilizable model for the gCRMDMs. Therefore, in this paper, we proposed a practical gCRMDMs model to support a customer, store, street, building and geographical suited to the trade area.

  • This paper points out the semantic unclearness of the jargon "cluster" and suggests the substitution of "industrial cluster" for "cluster". Industrial cluster is the intersection of industrial agglomeration and cluster phenomenon while the actual concept of cluster includes not only industry cluster but also political administration cluster, science research cluster, art cluster, religion cluster, education cluster, etc. Partially reconstructing the concept and significance of industry cluster, industrial cluster is a geographic agglomeration of interconnected productional businesses in a particular industry, forming close industrial networks. The advantage of the agglomeration includes reducing the transaction cost between the businesses, promoting technological innovation and dispersion, facilitating the utilization of the professional workforce, sharing and connecting the external customer. Moreover, this paper discusses the range of the industrial cluster and its distinctness from the other similar concepts. There is a need to discriminate it from the other related jargons and to clarify their relationship. In particular, there is a task to eradicate the mixed usage of industrial cluster with the jargons related to space for learning and innovation.

  • In this research, the primary factors affected to the formation of lake current of surface layer and thermal stratification of temperate lake have been analyzed, the daily change of water temperature, relationship with lake current and the research about the elements of meteorological phenomenon have been implemented. As a result, the lake current of surface layer occurring while the period of thermal stratification is showing the proportional difference of water temperature, thermal exchange caused by this has been known as the main energy source, and this is, secondly, considering as the interaction of the wind driven current by the prevailing wind. On the other hand, during the night time when the water surface is cooled, and it is considering as the vertical convection is occurring than horizontal circumfluence. Also, there exists the water mass, which is circumfluent counterclockwise and clockwise direction separately. The prevailing md is rather affected to the moving direction and moving speed of water mass, but it doesn't affect to the whole flowing direction.
