Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the role-expectations of gerontological nurse practitioners and performance of gerontological nursing by nurses in long term care hospitals and general hospitals. Methods: Subjects were 200 nurses; 100 nurses from long term care hospitals where as 100 nurses from general hospitals. The subjects completed a questionnaire on general characteristics, role-expectations of gerontological nurse practitioners, and performance of gerontological nursing by nurses. Data were collected from February to March 2013 and analyzed using SPSS/WIN 18.0 version program in order to perform descriptive statistics, independent t-test, and one-way ANOVA. Results: Results indicated that there were significant differences in the role-expectations of gerontological nurse practitioners and performance of gerontological nursing between nurses from long term care hospitals and those from general hospitals. Conclusion: Nurses in general hospitals showed significantly higher role expectations than nurses in long term care hospitals. Therefore it is necessary to spread the knowledge on the roles of gerontological nurse practitioners and the nurse practitioners system to nurses in long term care hospitals.

Effects of Cantharidinate on apoptosis of human colorectal cancer UTC-116 cells were investigated by means of 3-(4, 5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay, H and E staining, flow cytometry, and Raman Spectra analysis. The results showed Cantharidinate to exert inhibitory action on proliferation of human colorectal cancer UTC-116 cells, inducing apoptosis, arresting cells in G1 phase, with decline of S and G2 phases. In addition, the results of Raman spectrum showed significant changes in the UTC-116 cells chemical structure with stretching after the application of Cantharidinate. Taken together, these results suggest that the treatment of human colorectal cancer with Cantharidinate may be associated with multiple molecular mechanisms for apoptosis. Furthermore, similar to fluorouracil, Cantharidinate should be considered as novel assistant drug for controlling the growth of human colorectal cancer UTC-116 cells.

As many people keep small dogs as pets, dog bites are common injuries, accounting for approximately 80%-90% of all animal bite injuries. These injuries usually occur on the upper extremities, most commonly on the fingers. Most of these injuries appear as simple lacerations or abrasions of the skin. Common symptoms include inflammatory reactions of the soft tissue, such as pain, swelling, erythema, and cellulitis. However, the complications of small dog bites may include joint or cartilage injuries, including acute osteomyelitis. Once osteomyelitis develops, it is difficult to diagnose since it has a latency period of approximately 2 weeks. Plain radiography, magnetic resonance imaging, and 3-phase bone scans should be performed when acute osteomyelitis is suspected, and broad-spectrum empiric antibiotic treatment should be administered for approximately 8-12 weeks. We report 3 very rare cases of acute osteomyelitis that occurred after a dog bite injury.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influential factors to home management ability of mothers and their unmarried daughters through researching the relationship of their home management ability. It would provide the basic data for the direction of Home Economics Education. The subjects were 653, from 20 to 30 years of unmarried women and their mothers in Chonbuk province. The questionaire was used to measure their Home Management ability. The measured areas were planing, creativity, consumption management, housework, evaluation, and human relation. The question items were respectively 6 and totally 36. Spss was used for the statistic. Frequency, Percentage, Means, Standard Deviation were used for general understanding. For data analysis, F-test, Pearson Product-moment Correlation, Duncan's Multiple Range Test, Stepwise Multi-regression Analysis were used. Lastly, the research pattern was examined by Path Analysis. The results were as follows. 1. The importnat influential factors to mother's home management ability were their schooling level and their perceived socio-economic status among the general factors(age, shooling level, perceived socio-economic status) and the family atmosphere factors(monthly income, family type). 2. The important influential factors of unmarried daughter's home management ability were the monthly income of their family and the socio-economic status perceived by them, among their mother's general factors, family atmohphere factors, their own general factors(age, schooling level, perceived socio-economics status, occupation, growing place). 3. The influence of mother's home management ability on unmarried daughter's home management ability was much more remarkable than mother's general factors, family atmosphere factors and unmarried daughter's general factors.

Purpose : Dental trauma is frequently unpredictable. The initial assessment and urgent treatment are essential for dentists to save the patient's teeth. Mobile-phone-assisted teleconsultation and telediagnosis for dental trauma could be an aid when a dentist is not available. In the present in-vitro study, we evaluated the success rate and time to transfer images under various conditions. Materials and Methods : We analyzed the image quality of cameras built into mobile phones based on their resolution, autofocus, white-balance, and anti-movement functions. Results : The image quality of most built-in cameras was acceptable to perform the initial assessment, with the autofocus function being essential to obtain high-quality images. The transmission failure rate increased markedly when the image size exceeded 500 kB and the additional text messaging did not improve the success rate or the transmission time. Conclusion : Our optimal protocol could be useful for emergency programs running on the mobile phones.

Mandible angle ostectomy is the most widely-operated facial contour surgery. We experienced a rare case of necrotizing fasciitis of the lower leg following mandible angle ostectomy. A 20 years old female visited our department 5 days after mandible angle ostectomy. At the time, she was diagnosed as sepsis and on her 2nd admission day, she was diagnosed as necrotizing fasciitis on her left leg. She was treated by fasciotomy and necrotized tissue removal. Necrotizing fasciitis is a rare complication of any kinds of operation but once it develops, it causes fatal results, especially to cosmetic surgeries. Early diagnosis and aggressive operation is known as only treatment for the disease.

In the COVID-19 era, it was implemented to be used as a basic material for setting the direction of learning support and student guidance for university institutions and professors who are experiencing confusion. The purpose of this study is to compare the actual status of daily-routines of COVID-19 period, general semester period, and vacation period, and to examine whether there is a difference between the period of general semester and COVID-19 period, and whether there is a difference in daily use of COVID-19 period depending on grade. For this reason, a questionnaire survey was conducted from April 23 to 29, 2020, targeting students of University A, which is a small-scale technical centered university in the region, and 754 students answered. As a result of the study, first of all, when we looked at the trends in the use of daily-routines by period of general semester, vacation period, and COVID-19 period, the trends of the general semester period and COVID-19 period were similar in the areas of learning and self-development. Second, there were statistically significant differences in sleep, relaxation, learning and other areas between the period of the general semester and the duration of COVID-19. Third, there were statistically significant differences over grade in relaxation, learning, development, and other areas.

In this paper, the focus was on the review of Ming General Nan Fangwei's activities during the Choson period and existing relevant historical artifacts & literacy works. Nan Fangwei's hometown was Jiangxi(江西) Changjiang(昌江; Jingdezhen景德鎭). Unfortunately, it has not been known where his descendants migrated later. During Jingdezhen Riot(景德鎭民亂), he went to serve as the head of the grass roots. After surrendering, he became a general in the Ming military base. During Jeongyujae War(丁酉再亂), he entered Chosun as a Youji general(遊擊) and participated in dozens of large and small battles. However, the defeat of Jungro-gun (中路軍) led him to a feud with the Ming's military authorities and to return him, which gave him a hard time to be forcibly dislodged to a remote region. Nan Fangwei established Namwon Guanwang Shrine(南原 關王廟). Since then, it has been preserved in Namwon Wangjeong-dong(王亭洞) through several reconstruction and reconstruction works. In addition, he took good care of people by strictly cracking down on their subordinates with high integrity and virtuous deeds at the military base. Being deeply touched by his morality and virtue, the people of Gongju(公州) established 'Youji general Nan Fangwei Jongdeokbi(〈遊擊將藍公種德碑〉)'. In addition, when he had his leisure time, he collected Korean Chinese poems from various figures and edited and published 'Chosun Poetry Collection(《朝鮮詩選全集》)', which he played a catalyst to promote high-quality Korean poems to Chinese literacy community.

Let R be a commutative ring with identity. The structure theorem says that R is a PIR (resp., UFR, general ZPI-ring, π-ring) if and only if R is a finite direct product of PIDs (resp., UFDs, Dedekind domains, π-domains) and special primary rings. All of these four types of integral domains are Krull domains, so motivated by the structure theorem, we study the prime factorization of ideals in a ring that is a finite direct product of Krull domains and special primary rings. Such a ring will be called a general Krull ring. It is known that Krull domains can be characterized by the star operations v or t as follows: An integral domain R is a Krull domain if and only if every nonzero proper principal ideal of R can be written as a finite v- or t-product of prime ideals. However, this is not true for general Krull rings. In this paper, we introduce a new star operation u on R, so that R is a general Krull ring if and only if every proper principal ideal of R can be written as a finite u-product of prime ideals. We also study several ring-theoretic properties of general Krull rings including Kaplansky-type theorem, Mori-Nagata theorem, Nagata rings, and Noetherian property.

We got the following results from the 324 radiologic technologists as we surveyed their working condition by using the questionaire, who were working in the medical institutions (general hospitals and doctor's clinics) situated in the area of Seoul city, Kyung ki-do and Chung-chong-do since June to December 1985. 1. Their daily average working time was almost within 10 hours (in 93.9% of general hospitals, 66.1% of clinics). 2. About the numbers of holidays, 85.5% of general hospitals have one holiday per week,41.3% of clinics have one holiday per week or 38.5% of clinics have one holiday per two weeks. 3. Duty appointment of radiologic technologists in the department of radiology is taking charge of each part after serving for a certain part for some period (42.8%), taking charge of the special part continually or by turns in other working parts (35.3%). On the other hand in the clinics they took charge of all parts continually (53.2%) or by turns with their own situations. (30.3%). 4. Their daily working amount is too much in 51.6% of general hospitals or 45.8% of clinics. 5. They answered it was hard in 81.4% of general hospitals or 43.1% of clinics about the degree of difficulty of their work. 6. Their monthly salary is higher in the clinics than in the general hospitals and higher in Seoul area than in Kyung-ki or Chung-chong area. 7. Their yearly bonus .ate is 400%-600% (69.2%) in almost general hospitals, 100%-300% (57.8%) in th. clinics. 8. Danger allowance is paid with the monthly salary in 62.8% of the general hospitals or 19.2% of clinics and license allowance is paid in 44.7% of general hospitals or in 12.8% of clinics. 9. Their initial salary (except bonus) is about 200,000 won (in 76.8% of general hospitals, in 67.8% of clinics). 10. Their salary is raised regulary every year in 52.6% of general hospitals, but it is irregulary in 73.4% of clinics. 11. Promotion system is managed in 48.4% of the general hospitals or in 14.7% of clinics. 12. Retirement allowance is assured in 96.9% of the general hospitals or in 63.3% of clinics. 13. Main cause of their retirement is moving to more paid hospitals, better hospitals in working condition or facilities, moving to another cities, to the hospitals with more opportunities of promotion or choosing other jobs etc. 14. Human relationship with doctors, nurses or co-worker technologists as a member of medical team appeared almost intimate and good.
