We have investigated insulating properties of $SiO_2$ interlayer for the thin film strain gauge, which were prepared by RF magnetron sputtering method in various deposition conditions, such as Ar pressure, gas flow rates and sputtering gases. SEM, AFM and FT-IR techniques were used to analyze its structures and composition. As the Ar pressure and the flow rate increased, the insulating interlayer showed low insulating resistance due to its porous structure and defects. Oxygen deficiency in $SiO_2$ was decreased as fabricated by hydrogen reactive sputtering. We could enhance the surface mobility of sputtered adatoms by using Ar/$H_2$ sputtering gas and obtain a good surface roughness and insulating property. The optimum insulating resistance of 9.22 G$\Omega$ was obtained in Ar/30% $H_2$ mixed gas, flow rate 10sccm, and 1mTorr.

We investigated the sheet resistance properties of tungsten nitride thin films deposited by RF and DC sputtering system. It deposited at various conditions that determine the sheet resistance. The properties of the sheet resistance of these films were measured under various conditions. Sheet resistance analysed under the flow rate of the argon gas and contents of nitrogen from nitrogen-argon gas mixtures. We found that these sheet resistance were largely depend on the temperature of substrate, gas flow rate and RF power. Very high and low sheet resistance of tungsten films obtained by DC sputtering. As the increase of contents of nitrogen gas obtained from nitrogen-argon gas mixture, tungsten nitride thin films deposited by the reactive DC sputtering and the sheet resistance of these films were increased.
NbN thin films were deposited on thermally oxidized Si substrate at room temperature by using reactive magnetron sputtering in an $Ar-N_2$ gas mixture. Total sputtering gas pressure was fixed while varying $N_2$ flow rate from 1.4 sccm to 2.9 sccm. X-ray diffraction pattern analysis revealed dominant NbN(200) orientation in the low $N_2$ flow rate but emerging of (111) orientation with diminishing (200) orientation at higher flow rate. The dependences of the superconducting properties on the $N_2$ gas flow rate were investigated. All the NbN thin films showed a small negative temperature coefficient of resistance with resistivity ratio between 300 K and 20 K in the range from 0.98 to 0.89 as the $N_2$ flow rate is increased. Transition temperature showed non-monotonic dependence on $N_2$ flow rate reaching as high as 11.12 K determined by the mid-point temperature of the transition with transition width of 0.3 K. On the other hand, the upper critical field showed roughly linear increase with $N_2$ flow rate up to 2.7 sccm. The highest upper critical field extrapolated to 0 K was 17.4 T with corresponding coherence length of 4.3 nm. Our results are discussed with the granular nature of NbN thin films.
We presented Tungsten and Tungsten Nitride thin films deposited by RF and DC sputtering. It deposited at various conditions that determining the resistivity and sheet resistivity by stabilizing the basic theory. We investigated properties of the resistivity and sheet resistivity of these films under various conditions, temperature of substrate, flow rate of the argon gas and content of nitrogen from nitrogen-argon mixtures. As the temperature of substrate increased and the flow rate of the argon gas decreased, the resistivities of these films reduced by structural transformation. We found that these resistivities were depend on the temperature of substrate, flow rate and electric power. Very highly resistive tungsten films obtained at 10W RF power. On the contrary, we found that films deposited by DC sputtering, from which very lowly resistive tungsten films were obtained. Tungsten nitride thin films deposited by reactive DC sputtering and the resistivities of these films increased as the content of nitrogen gas increased from nitrogen-argon mixture. And also we found the results show very good agreement, compared with experimental data.

AZO films were prepared by $Ar:H_2$ gas RF magnetron sputtering system with a AZO (2wt% $Al_2O_3$) ceramic target at a low temperature of $100^{\circ}C$. To investigate the influence of $H_2$ flow ratio on the properties of AZO films, $H_2$ flow ratio was changed from 0.5% to 2%. As a result, the AZO films deposited with 1% $H_2$ addition showed electrical properties with a resistivity of $5.06{\times}10^{-3}{\Omega}cm$. The spectrophotometer-measurements showed the transmittance of 86.5% was obtained by the film deposited with $H_2$ flow ratio of 1% in the range of 940nm for GaAs/GaAlAs LED.

In this work, the ITO thin films were prepared by FTS (Facing Targets Sputtering) system under different sputtering conditions which were varying $O_2$ gas flow, input current at room temperature. As a function of sputtering conditions, electrical and optical properties of prepared ITO thin films were measured. The electrical, optical characteristics and surface roughness of prepared ITO thin films were measured. In the results, as increasing $O_2$ gas 0.1[sccm] to 0.7[sccm], resistivity of ITO thin film was increased with a decreasing carrier concentration, $O_2$ gas over 0.3[sccm] the carrier mobility have a similarly value. Transmittance of prepared ITO thin films were improved at increasing $O_2$ gas 0.1[sccm] to 0.7[sccm]. And transmittance of all of the prepared ITO thin films was over 80%. We could obtain resistivity $6.19{\times}10^{-4}[{\omega}{\cdot}cm]$, carrier mobility $22.9[cm^2/V{\cdot}sec]$, carrier concentration $4.41{\times}10^{20}[cm^{-3}]$ and transmittance over 80% of ITO thin film prepared at working pressure 1mTorr, input current 0.4A without any substrate heating.
This paper, Al-doped ZnO(AZO) thin films for application as transparent conducting oxide films were deposited on the Corning glass substrate by using RF magnetron sputtering system. The effects of various Argon gas flow rates on optical and electrical characteristics of AZO films were investigate sputtering method. The Carrier Concentration is enhanced as Ar gas rate increases, and also the oxygen vacancy concentration. The figure of merit obtained in this study means that AZO films which deposited Ar gas rate of 75 sccm have the highest Carrier concentration and Hall mobility, which have the highest photoelectrical performance that it could be used as transparent electrodes.
Effects of rf power, pressure, sputtering gas composition, and substrate temperature on the deposition rate of the $WC_x$ coatings were investigated. The effects of rf power and sputtering gas composition on the hardness and corrosion resistance of the $WC_x$ coatings deposited by reactive sputtering were also investigated. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) analyses were performed to determine the structures and compositions of the films, respectively. The hardnesses of the films were investigated using a nanoindenter, scanning electron microscopy, ana a salt-spray test, respectively. The deposition rate of the films was proportional to rf power and inversely proportional to the $CH_4$ content of $Ar/CH_4$ sputtering gas. The deposition rate linearly increased with increasing chamber pressure. The hardness of the $WC_x$ coatings Increased as rf power increased. The highest hardness was obtained at a $Ar/CH_4$ concentration of $10 vol.\%$ in the sputtering gas. The hardness of the $WC_x$ film deposited under optimal conditions was found to be much higher than that of the electroplated chromium film, although the corrosion resistance of the former was slightly lower than that of the latter.

The CrN/TiN/Al thin films for solar selective absorber were prepared by dc reactive magnetron sputtering with multi targets. The binary nitride CrN layer deposited with change in N2 gas flow rates. The gas mixture of Ar and N2 was an important parameter during sputtering deposition because the metal volume fraction (MVF) was controlled by the N2 gas flow rate. In this study, the crystallinity and surface properties of the CrN/TiN/Al thin films were estimated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). The composition and depth profile of thin films were investigated using Auger electron spectroscopy (AES). The absorptance and reflectance with wavelength spectrum were recorded by UV-Vis-NIR spectrophotometry at a range of 300~1,100 nm.
AIN thin films were prepared on amorphous glass and $SiO_2(1{\mu}m)/Si(100)$ substrate by the facing targets sputtering (FTS) apparatus, which can provide high density plasma, a high deposition rate at a low working gas pressure. The AIN thin films were deposited at a different nitrogen gas flow rate ($1.0{\sim}0.3$) and other sputtering parameters were fixed such as sputtering power of 200w, working pressures of 1mTorr and AIN thin film thickness of 800 nm, respectively. The thickness and crystallographic characteristics of AIN thin films as a function of $N_2$ gas flow rate $[N_2/(N_2+Ar)]$ were measured by $\alpha$-step and an X-ray diffraction (XRD) instrument. And the c-axis preferred orientations were evaluated by rocking curve. In the results, we could prepared the AIN thin film with c-axis preferred orientation of about $5^{\circ}$ on substrate temperature R.T. at nitrogen gas flow rate 0.7.
