  • In this paper, it is presented a new technique to the design and real-time implementation of fuzzy control system based-on digital signal processors in order to improve the precision and robustness for system of industrial robot. Fuzzy control has emerged as one of the most active and fruitful areas for research in the applications of fuzzy set theory, especially in the real of industrial processes. In this thesis, a self-organizing fuzzy controller or the industrial robot manipulator with a actuator located at the base is studied. A fuzzy logic composed of linguistic conditional statements is employed by defining the relations of input-output variable of the controller, In the synthesis of a FLC, one of the most difficult problems is the determination of linguistic control rules from the human operators. To overcome this difficult, SOFC is proposed for a hierarchical control structure consisting of basic level and high level that modify control rules.

  • A new technique using a search method which is based on fuzzy multi-criteria function is proposed for GMS(generator maintenance scheduling) in order to consider multi-objective function. Not only minimization of probabilistic production cost but also maximization of system reliability level are considered for fuzzy multi-criteria function. To obtain an optimal solution for generator maintenance scheduling under fuzzy environment, fuzzy multi-criteria relaxation method(fuzzy search method) is used. The practicality and effectiveness of the proposed approach are demonstrated by simulation studies for a real size power system model in Korea in 2010.

  • In this thesis, each objective functions with hierarchical system Bi-level linear programming (BLPP) Problem applications to fuzzy set theory conducted multiple objective programming problem.   • GIS (geographic information system) applications increasingly require the representation of geospatial objects with fuzzy extent and querying of time-varying information. In this paper, we Introduce a FSTDB (fuzzy spatiotemporal database) to represent and manage states and events causing changes of dynamic fuzzy objects using fuzzy set theory. We also propose the algorithms for the operators to be included in a GIS to make it able to answer queries depending on fuzzy predicates during a time interval and a method to identify the development process of objects during a certain period based on the designed database. They can be used in application areas handling time-varying geospatial data, including global change (as in climate or land cover change) and social (demographic, health, ect.) application.

  • Fuzzy data is a phenomenon often occurring in real life. There is the inherent vagueness of classification terms referring to a continuous scale, the uncertainty of linguistic terms such as "I almost agree" or the vagueness of terms and concepts due to the statistical variability in communication [20] and many more. Previously, such fuzzy data was approximated by non-fuzzy (crisp) data, which obviously did not lead to a correct and precise representation of the real world. Fuzzy set theory has been developed to represent and manipulate fuzzy data [18]. Explicitly managing the degree of fuzziness in databases allows the system to distinguish between what is known, what is not known and what is partially known. Systems in the literature whose specific objective is to handle imprecision in databases present various approaches. This paper is concerned with the different ways uncertainty and imprecision are handled in database design. It outlines the major areas of fuzzification in (relational) database systems.

  • A new technique using integer programming based on fuzzy multi-criteria function is proposed for generator maintenance scheduling. Minimization of maintenance delay cost and maximization of supply reserve power are considered for fuzzy multi-criteria function To obtain an optimal solution for gen- ,:rator maintenance scheduling under fuzzy environment, fuzzy multi-criteria integer programming is )used. In the maintenance scheduling, a characteristic feature of the presented approach is that the crisp conaitraints with uncertainty can be taken into account by using fuzzy set theory and so more flexible solution Ian he obtained. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated by the simulation results.
