Intuitionistic Fuzzy Rough Approximation Operators

  • Since upper and lower approximations could be induced from the rough set structures, rough sets are considered as approximations. The concept of fuzzy rough sets was proposed by replacing crisp binary relations with fuzzy relations by Dubois and Prade. In this paper, we introduce and investigate some properties of intuitionistic fuzzy rough approximation operators and intuitionistic fuzzy relations by means of topology.

  • In this paper, the concept of Pythagorean fuzzy sets are used to describe in semigroups. Then, some characterizations of regular (resp., intra-regular) semigroups by means of Pythagorean fuzzy left (resp., right) ideals and Pythagorean fuzzy (resp., generalized) bi-ideals of semigroups are investigated. Furthermore, the class of both regular and intra-regular semigroups by the properties of many kinds of their Pythagorean fuzzy ideals also being studied.

  • In this paper, we propose a TSK(Takagi-Sugeno-Kang)-type fuzzy classifier using PCA(Principal Component Analysis), FCM(Fuzzy c-Means) clustering, ANFIS(Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System) and hybrid GA(Genetic Algorithm). First, input data is transformed to reduce correlation among the data components by PCA. FCM clustering is applied to obtain a initial TSK-type fuzzy classifier. Parameter identification is performed by AGA(Adaptive GA) and RLSE(Recursive Least Square Estimate). Finally, we applied the proposed method to Iris data classificationl problems and obtained a better performance than previous works.

Defect Extraction of Ceramic Image using Fuzzy Clustering Based Enhanced Fuzzy Binarization (퍼지 클러스터링 기반 개선된 Fuzzy Binarization 기법을 이용한 세라믹 영상에서의 결함 추출)

  • 본 논문에서는 X-Ray 영상에서 용접한 부분의 기공이나 균열 등의 결함 영역을 추출하는 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 세라믹 X-Ray 영상에서 비등방성 확산 필터를 적용하여 영상의 잡음을 제거하고, 수직 및 수평 히스토그램을 각각 적용하여 용접 영역을 추출한 후, 최소 자승법을 적용하여 배경 밝기를 제거하고, 사다리꼴 형태의 Fuzzy Stretching기법을 적용하여 명암 값을 강조하여 결함 영역과 그 외의 영역간의 명암 대비를 강조한다. 그리고 Fuzzy C_Means 알고리즘을 적용하여 결함 영역을 세분화한 후, Fuzzy C_Means을 적용하여 생성된 클러스터들의 중심 명암 값을 이용하여 ${\alpha}_-cut$을 설정한 후에 임계구간을 구하고 영상을 이진화하여 최종적으로 결함 영역을 추출한다. 제안된 방법의 결함 추출 성능을 확인하기 위하여 세라믹 X-Ray 영상을 대상으로 실험한 결과, 기존의 방법보다 결함 영역이 정확히 추출되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

Nonlinear Characteristics of Non-Fuzzy Inference Systems Based on HCM Clustering Algorithm (HCM 클러스터링 알고리즘 기반 비퍼지 추론 시스템의 비선형 특성)

  • In fuzzy modeling for nonlinear process, the fuzzy rules are typically formed by selection of the input variables, the number of space division and membership functions. The Generation of fuzzy rules for nonlinear processes have the problem that the number of fuzzy rules exponentially increases. To solve this problem, complex nonlinear process can be modeled by generating the fuzzy rules by means of fuzzy division of input space. Therefore, in this paper, rules of non-fuzzy inference systems are generated by partitioning the input space in the scatter form using HCM clustering algorithm. The premise parameters of the rules are determined by membership matrix by means of HCM clustering algorithm. The consequence part of the rules is represented in the form of polynomial functions and the consequence parameters of each rule are identified by the standard least-squares method. And lastly, we evaluate the performance and the nonlinear characteristics using the data widely used in nonlinear process. Through this experiment, we showed that high-dimensional nonlinear systems can be modeled by a very small number of rules.

  • In this paper, the scheme of an efficient fuzzy rule generation and fuzzy system construction using GA(genetic algorithm) and FCM(fuzzy c-means) clustering algorithm is proposed for TSK(Takagi-Sugeno-Kang) type fuzzy system. In the structure identification, input data is transformed by PCA(Principal Component Analysis) to reduce the correlation among input data components. And then, a set fuzzy rules are generated for a given criterion by FCM clustering algorithm . In the parameter identification premise parameters are optimally searched by GA. On the other hand, the consequent parameters are estimated by RLSE(Recursive Least Square Estimate) to reduce the search space. From this one can systematically obtain the valid number of fuzzy rules which shows satisfying performance for the given problem. Finally, we applied the proposed method to the Box-Jenkins data and rice taste data modeling problems and obtained a better performance than previous works.

  • We introduce a new architecture of TSK-based fuzzy inference system. The proposed model used fuzzy c-means clustering method(FCM) for efficient disposal of data. The premise part of fuzzy rules don't assume any membership function such as triangular, gaussian, ellipsoidal because we construct the premise part of fuzzy rules using FCM. As a result, we can reduce to architecture of model. In this paper, we are able to use four types of polynomials as consequence part of fuzzy rules such as simplified, linear, quadratic, modified quadratic. Weighed Least Square Estimator are used to estimates the coefficients of polynomial. The proposed model is evaluated with the use of Boston housing data called Machine Learning dataset.

  • Fire monitoring system detects a fire based on the values of various sensors, such as smoke, CO, temperature, or change of temperature. It detects a fire by comparing sensed values with predefined threshold values for each sensor. However, to prevent a fire it is required to predict a situation which has a possibility of fire occurrence. In this work, we propose a fire recognition system using a fuzzy inference method. The rule base is constructed as a combination of fuzzy variables derived from various sensed values. In addition, in order to solve generalization and formalization problems of rule base construction from expert knowledge, we analyze features of fire patterns. The constructed rule base results in an improvement of the recognition accuracy. A fire possibility is predicted as one of 3 levels(normal, caution, danger). The training data of each level is converted to fuzzy rules by FCM(fuzzy C-means clustering) and those rules are used in the inference engine. The performance of the proposed approach is evaluated by using forest fire data from the UCI repository.

  • Voice activity detection is very important process that find voice activity from noisy speech signal for noise cancelling and speech enhancement. Over the past few years, many studies have been made on voice activity detection, it has poor performance for speech signal of sentence form in a low SNR environment. In this paper, it proposed new voice activity detection algorithm that has beginning VAD process using entropy and main VAD process using fuzzy membership shifted c-means clustering. We conduct an experiment in various SNR environment of white noise to evaluate performance of the proposed algorithm and confirmed good performance of the proposed algorithm.

Feature-Point Extraction by Dynamic Linking Model bas Wavelets and Fuzzy C-Means Clustering Algorithm (Gabor 웨이브렛과 FCM 군집화 알고리즘에 기반한 동적 연결모형에 의한 얼굴표정에서 특징점 추출)

  • This Paper extracts the edge of main components of face with Gator wavelets transformation in facial expression images. FCM(Fuzzy C-Means) clustering algorithm then extracts the representative feature points of low dimensionality from the edge extracted in neutral face. The feature-points of the neutral face is used as a template to extract the feature-points of facial expression images. To match point to Point feature points on an expression face against each feature point on a neutral face, it consists of two steps using a dynamic linking model, which are called the coarse mapping and the fine mapping. This paper presents an automatic extraction of feature-points by dynamic linking model based on Gabor wavelets and fuzzy C-means(FCM) algorithm. The result of this study was applied to extract features automatically in facial expression recognition based on dimension[1].
