The article reflects short-term perspectives on the use of information and communication technologies in the training of teachers for higher education. Education is characterized by conservatism, so aspects of systematic development of the industry are relevant to this cluster of social activity. Therefore, forecasting the introduction of innovative elements of ICT training is in demand for the educational environment. Forecasting educational trends are most relevant exactly in the issues of training future teachers of higher education because these specialists are actually the first to implement the acquired professional skills in pedagogical activities. The article aims to consider the existing potential of ICT-based learning, its implementation in the coming years, and promising innovative educational elements that may become relevant for the educational space in the future. The tasks of scientific exploration are to show the optimal formats of synergy between traditional and innovative models of learning. Based on already existing experience, extrapolation of conditions of educational process organization with modeling realities of using information and communication technologies in various learning dimensions should be carried out. Educational trends for the next 3 years are a rather tentative forecast because, as demonstrated by the events associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, the socio-cultural space is very changeable. Consequently, the dynamism of the educational environment dictates the need for a value-based awareness of the information society and the practical use of technological advances. Thus, information and communication technologies are a manifestation of innovative educational strategies of today and become an important component along with traditional aspects of educational process organization. Future higher education teachers should develop a training strategy taking into account the expediency of the ICT component.

Background: Epidemiology is a fundamental study of public health, including environmental health, since the features and causes of diseases discovered through epidemiology provide crucial information for developing successful disease prevention strategies. Objectives: This paper tried to define the role and function of epidemiologic research in the field of environmental health, summarize examples of epidemiological studies with regard to selected environmental health events in South Korea, and address important issues that should be considered when conducting epidemiological research in the future. Methods: Epidemiological studies of selected environmental health events were reviewed and summarized in terms of their contribution to environmental health in South Korea. Based on the information, important issues were suggested for future epidemiological studies in environmental health. Results: The role and function of epidemiologic research in the field of environmental health includes the systematic description of the health effects caused by environmental exposure, verification of the causal relationship between environmental exposure and health effects, and provision of background data for conducting prevention strategies and developing policies. A number of epidemiological studies have contributed to characterizing and assessing the environmental risks involved in a series of environmental health events in South Korea. Conclusions: Important issues for future epidemiological studies may include health effects from chronic low-level environmental exposure, application of analytical epidemiology to elucidate causal relationships, use of exposure/disease/susceptibility biomarkers, accurate reconstruction of past exposure status, cohort recruitment and long-term follow-up, and in-advance surveillance of diseases with environmental causes.

Although providing universal coverage for health care through the National Health Insurance(NHI) is a remarkable achievement, the issue of limited benefit coverage of the NHI has been at the core of national debate over how to improve its coverage. This study aims to evaluate benefit extension strategies and implemented policies with regard to the NHI since 1989 using 'policy window theory' proposed by John W. Kingdon. Understanding problem stream, policy stream, political stream, and coupling streams regarding the NHI, in particular benefit extension, would contribute to broaden policy debates and to develop more effective strategies for the future. Historically, political stream had opened policy window in the past two decades and policy streams can be characterized by three waves. Three streams have been coupled since 2003 and the government had a strong will to fulfill better performance of NHI coverage. Study findings indicate that identification of problem structure regarding NHI benefit was not connected with policy stream tightly. In addition, there has been limited discussion on policy goal and principles for extension coverage of the NHI. Policy strategies to improve coverage of the NHI should be linked to characteristics of problem and sought solutions under the principle which is expected to be sustainable through consensus in the society.

Purpose: This study is to develop managerial implications for JSAS for advancing to highly qualified journal and achieving its goals. Furthermore, the study sough to deduce implications of ethical issues of JSAS and to generate insights and future directions for JSAS management. Research design, data and methodology: This study employed a qualitative approach to review the current status of JSAS including its aims, managerial strategies and ethical systems. The study discussed ethical issues about fake journals and predatory journals to analyze the current states of JSAS's ethical system and to compare with each other. Results: Results indicated that JSAS has abided ethical requirements of common journals and established strict criteria, yet it should continuously observe blind peer-review systems to avoid unnecessary risks of being perceived as predatory journals. The rigorous ethical obedience will help JSAS to effectively perform its managerial strategies and to achieve its goals: Increasing submissions, inviting prestigious scholars to board member, and advance to high quality of journal. Conclusions: Continuous efforts of JSAS for ethical management is the most effective method to move to a high qualified international journal with reputation in academia. With the consideration of Korean journal society, ethical studies need to be further conducted.

이 글의 목적은 역동적으로 변하고 있는 정보환경에서 대학도서관이 대학의 심장으로 기능하기 위해 어떠한 경영철학과 전략이 필요한지를 거시적인 관점에서 논의하는데 있다. 이를 위해, 대학도서관을 둘러싼 환경변화의 실체를 면밀히 분석하였으며, 이러한 환경변화가 대학도서관의 역할과 기능에 어떠한 변화를 요구하고 있는지에 대해 논의하였다. 더불어, 이러한 변화요구를 적극적으로 수용하는데 있어 우리 대학도서관이 안고있는 내재적 한계는 무엇이며, 그러한 한계를 극복하고 대학도서관이 발전하려면 어떠한 경영전략이 필요한지를 제시하였다.

Purpose As elderly people are increasing rapidly in the world, consumption of elderly people is also increasing. However, there have been only marketing strategies for elder citizens centered on off-line. Therefore, apply marketing strategies to e-commerce suitable for the elderly in the future through online. This research was conducted to propose some marketing strategies relevant to elder people in the e-commerce context. Design/methodology/approach This study, for the preliminary research, firstly implemented the in-depth interviews based on prior studies, through preliminary research and analysis of previous research and then some research questions were set. With the research questions, we conducted a survey for elderly people and empirically validated the research model, testing given hypotheses. Findings Among the seven hypotheses, three hypotheses were supported by data analysis. Based upon the findings of this study, in order to do this, we have established a marketing strategy that utilizes e-commerce for elderly people who have purchasing power according to the principle of market economy.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to examine the ethical considerations that must be addressed in journals and discern the strategies that will elevate the quality of the journals. Research design, data, and methodology: This study utilized the past studies that were conducted in this field. Examples of journals were used to mark some of the key features of reputable journals, as well as the guidelines for KODISA. Results: This study has showed the importance of ethical considerations in journals for the best interests of the scholars and journal community as a whole. A clear set of outlines makes the journal a place for scholars to share their knowledge, as well as elevate the journal into a good standing in the academic world. Some of the key strategies in improving KODISA include inviting notable members of a field to share their knowledge and encouraging more scholars to contribute to this network. Conclusion: KODISA has a strong set of ethical considerations for the scholars that publish in their journals and will continue to improve its quality for the future. It includes improving its strategies and keeping up to date with the trends in the current field of discipline.

The purpose of this study was to compare the science philosophical views and instruction strategies for open-inquiry between teachers of science-gifted and teachers of general students. The subjects were 45 teachers of science-gifted and 45 teachers of general students. The major results of this study were as follows: First, there was no differences on the science philosophical views between teachers of science-gifted and teachers of general students by chi-square tests (p<.05). Second, there were no differences on how task assignments, how to guide exploration data, and how to write reports between teachers of science-gifted and teachers of general students (p<.05). But there was meaningful differences on how to proceed with exploration activities between teachers of science-gifted and teachers of general students (p<.05). It is implied that this the results of this investigation will help the focus of future efforts to promote more adequate the science philosophical views and instruction strategies for open-inquiry in teachers of science-gifted.
