The purpose of this study was to supply the opportunity of being used as a material which can predict future fashion. This study had been divided the symbolic meaning into three parts. The first part was the symbolic expressions in the materials of modern fashion, and the second part was symbolic meaning which was expressed in the accessories, and the last part was the symbolic meaning which was expressed in the physical ornament. The results could be summarized as follows. First, among the forms of heraldry were expressed in modern Fashion, were such as animals like a lion and eagle, which evoked the powerful and lively mood. A vegetable heraldry was expressed on a pattern of textile fabric to pursue the beauty of dress, represented female and classical beauty. A inanimate object heraldry was included all natural material that didn't have all lives the world, represented the mystery and intensity of nature as using the design that sets off the idea through color and figure. Second, in the case of being the forms of heraldry used as a mark or logo in modern fashion, it was visualized the fashion of traditional sense, marine look and military look. This mark or logo had important characteristics of symbolic in that the product had a special meaning and function by trade mark. Third, tattos were used to heighten the people's union in the various subordinate cultures. By ornamenting their bodies, they expressed their special identity and consciousness. Tattos represented a unique menas, which effected a mood of fashion.
Social media which support to share information and communicate between online users have recently won great popularity. Of the various social services blogs have played an active role as a community in sharing delivering and exchanging information among individual users who have share similar opinions hobbies and preferences. Based on this cultural phenomenon some companies often take advantage of blogs as a marketing tool to strengthen their public relations or deliver particular information to their costumer. This study is designed to classify fashion-related blogs and define the characteristics of each type expecting significant influences on future studies on this topic. We selected 50 fashion-related blogs as subjects including 25 Korean blogs and the same number of international blogs, defined their characteristics and classified them into four different types. As the result we found that there are apparent differences between the four types of blogs: "Individual taste" blogs which noticeably reflect bloggers' own preference "Trend leader" blogs in which the bloggers intend to be trend leaders beyond expressing their preference "Fashion media" blogs which plays a significant role as a magazine by providing various information concerning fashion for costumers and "Sales promotion" blogs which are used as promotional materials to attract customers by providing product reviews or advertisements.
The purpose of this study is to explore ways toward the hat design development by looking into the formative and aesthetic characteristics of the works of Philip Treacy, the designer who raised hats to one of the important fashion accessories. This study concretely investigates the formative characteristics of Treacy's hats in terms of shapes, materials, colours and decorations. According to this study, the shape of his hats shows the natural and specific objects in three dimensions, not in basic shape of hats. He uses combination of a variety of materials, adding unique materials to existing ones, so that they not only create a specific atmosphere but also extend the limitation which used to be thought as materials for hats. In the field of colour, he mainly used black and white until 1999, but since 2000 he has been using vivid and splendid colors. And he uses feathers or nets for decorations of the hats. As the result of the comprehensive analysis of Treacy's works, this study characterizes his works by surrealistic, three-dimensional, rhythmic and future-oriented. Therefore, Philip Treacy's hat design can be defined three dimensional considering the formative beauty, and can be characterized by use of unique materials, vivid & bold colours, moderate decorations, f variety of lines, and asymmetrical structures. These characteristics show surrealistic, three-dimensional and futuristic message which rhythm can be felt. He presents unlimited capability in hat designs as a representative of human being's basic will for creating new ones beyond this real world. It is considered that this study can help broaden the limitation of the hat design which used to repeat simple forms in the Past and help explore ways for developmental direction of hat design in the future.
A questionnaire survey of farmers engaged in actual farming was conducted to investigate the farmers' actual wearing conditions and preferences for agricultural workwear to develop workwear that is suitable for improved agricultural work efficiency. We extracted basic data necessary for the development of agricultural workwear. Analysis of the photographs taken showed differences in the shoes and gloves worn depending on the type of work. The percentages of men and women were equal among the agricultural workers. The age of the agricultural workers was analyzed and the results showed a higher percentage of those over 50 years old, indicating that the age of the agricultural workers was higher than in other industries. It was found that the waist, knees, and elbows of the workers were pulled during work, and analysis showed that the symptoms resulting from clothing pulling were more severe when the wearing dimensions were larger. It was recognized that the important aspects of workwear are those related to work, such as functionality, activity, and work efficiency. In addition to workwear, the most commonly worn auxiliary equipment was gloves, and other items included hats, armbands, work shoes, boots, seat chairs, and masks. When developing rural workwear, it is necessary to consider the fit, type of work, and materials of the workwear. Future research should focus on materials that can improve the functionality of workwear and pattern development that reflects physical and movement characteristics.

This research aims to study comparatively on the aesthetic characteristics of the Technology Art and Technology Fashion Images in the 20th century. For this purpose, literature survey and demonstrative study were undertaken. The results were as follows ; As the concept of the art in the 20th century has been broadened by the development of technology and the creative application of it in the art, the relationship of the art and fashion has been much closer. The Technology Art and Technology Fashion Images in the 20th century have been developed by using technology itself and its artifacts directly or indirectly to express their attitude on the advancement of technology of the time. The plasticity of the Technology Art and Technology Fashion Images in the 20th century was identified as geometrical forms, high-tech materials, futuristic colors and lights and dynamic expression. The internal meanings of the Technology Art and Technology Fashion Images in the 20th century were identified as functionality, arrant-garde, utopian future orientation to improve human's life.

The purpose of this study was to provide basic information on the development of local governments and upcycling industries that want to establish centers in the future. The study investigated the current situation and programs of domestic upcycling centers for regional sustainable growth. As a result of comparing and analyzing the programs operated by the upcycling centers by region, they could be classified into culture and arts experience programs, resource circulation experience programs, and environmental culture education programs according to the nature of the operation programs that are more focused on in addition to the experience and education programs reflected by each center. Among the upcycling materials and items used in the operation program, fashion-related education was being operated in a more diverse manner in the area of culture and arts experience programs. As a result of the analysis, it was found that it was necessary to establish a smooth material supply network, develop an in-depth step-by-step upcycling fashion education program, and strengthen the upcycling center program using regional characteristics. The results of this study are significant in that they provide the local governments with basic information for the establishment of upcycling centers in areas where the upcycling centers have not been established. In addition, this study presents the types and directions of programs necessary for establishing upcycling centers in the future.
This study focuses on the sportism expressed in the modern fashion. Many factors attribute to the advent of sportism such as rapid development and cultural changes toward sports, increase in leisure time, new fashion materials resulting from new technologies, youth culture and postmodernism. Designers gazing into the future are inspired by the details and functionality of clothing for snow boarding, skiing, rock-climbing and fitness. While the sportswear is the term whith stemmed from the need for functionally in sports, the Sportism is the style inspired by the formative elements, that is, the details, the silhouette, and the colors of the sportswear. New technologies for sports, the powerful influence of youthful culture, and the celebritizations of the sports stars made the sports look more popular. It can be categorized into three aesthetic values, i.e., the functional sportism, the street sportism, and the futuristic sportism. The functional sportism is expressed with the details of function, simplicity, and no useless ornament, the street sportism with fun, androgynous and unisex mode and the image of hip-hop look and traditional look, the futuristic sportism with new high tech fabrics and cyber style. The characters of these are a sence of unisex, sensualness, ostentation, renovation.
This study examines the measures and implementation strategies needed to develop sustainable design from an international perspective, using examples of sustainability practices and product planning from Helen Kaminski, a representative fashion brand of positive luxury. The research method includes a literature study on positive luxury, a case study on positive luxury brands, and an empirical study where the researcher participated in the development of Helen Kaminski's design. The study identifies the following measures needed to develop designs for sustainable products: First, the development of designs that increase circularity; Second, the use of certified materials and strict adherence to material usage; Third, the simplification of production methods or development of new technologies for this purpose; Fourth, ensuring that design development incorporate the traditions and unique handicraft techniques of the local community. The implementation strategies required for a sustainable product planning process are as follows. First, changes in the product planning stage and expansion of participating members are needed. Second, securing and conducting prior inspections of the supply chain for ethical sourcing is required. Third, prioritizing the use of eco-friendly materials and material development. Fourth, establishing a stage for selecting and evaluating objects that will become representative designs with sustainability. As a result, this study can serve as basic data to strengthen corporate competitiveness and establish itself as a fashion brand for sustainability through actionable strategies applicable to the domestic fashion industry in the future.

In this study, three kinds of wearable fashion prototypes were developed using 3D printers with the goal of developing a practical production method for daily clothes. Prototypes were modeled using Rhinoceros software and developed using FDM 3D printers and TPU filaments. The results of this study are as follows. First, it confirmed the possibility of FDM-type entry-level 3D printers as a tool to develop wearable fashion products. Second, TPU filaments that are soft and ductile are highly likely to be used as a clothing material. Third, patterns designed through the 3D modeling process can be sampled directly to a 3D printer and easily corrected and supplemented. Fourth, it was confirmed that TPU prints of about 1.00mm thickness can be sewn with fabric using sewing machines through the development of 'Prototype 1' and 'Prototype 2'; in addition, hand stitching is also possible. Fifth, as in the case of 'Prototype 3', it is possible to fabricate a garment fit enough to the body if the clothing configuration is designed to connect the basic module using TPU filaments. In the future, the development of wearable fashion prototypes using various materials and 3D printing technology will help diversify everyday clothes.
