Recently, a problem related to the thermal management in portable electronic and telecommunication devices is becoming issued. That is due to the trend of slimness of the devices, so it is not easy to find the optimal thermal management technology for the devices. From now on, a pressed circular type cooling device has been mainly used, however the cooling device with thin thickness is becoming needed by the inner space constraint. In the present study, the silicon and metal flat plate type cooling device with the separated vapor and liquid flow path was designed and fabricated. Through the experimental study, the normal isothermal characteristic by vapor-liquid phase change was confirmed and the cooling device with 70mm of total length showed 6.8W of the heat transfer rate within the range of $4{\sim}5^{\circ}C$/W of thermal resistance. In the meantime, the metal cooling device was developed for commercialization. The device was designed to have all structures of evaporator, vapor flow path, liquid flow path and condenser in one plate. And an envelope of that could be completed by combining the two plates of same structure and size. And the simplicity of fabrication process and reduction of manufacturing cost could be accomplished by using the stamping technology for fabricating large flow paths relatively. In the future, it will be possible to develop the commercialized cooling device by revising the fabrication process and enhancing the thermal performance of that.
In this paper, we proposed a parametric estimation method for estimating H/W cost by using the development data of professional service robot in Korea. In addition, we derived the factors and weights that we can estimate the costs depending on the application environmental conditions of the robot. For the analysis, we developed the equation of professional service robot cost estimation using parametric method. We also derived the adjustment factors and following weights through FGI and Delphi for environmental conditions. We have developed a cost estimation equation that reflects the weight, volume, and manufacturing difficulty, and can derive a relational equation that reflects the environmental factors(dust/water, heat/cold, safety, test, technology innovation). This provides an objective basis for estimating the cost of professional service robots and will lead to ongoing research for estimating the H/W development cost of professional service robots. In the future, we will increase reliability by collecting abundant data, and will strengthen models through finding functional factors.
This study is to investigate the impact of the social capital on organization trust, and the impact of the organization trust on recommendation intention, and turnover intention. And by this it is also to integrally analyze through what route social capital affects the recommendation intention and turnover intention. An actual analysis through covariance structural equation model was made targeting the members of small and medium sized manufacturing companies. The results of the actual analysis showed that the relational dimension in the social capital had an positive(+) and the most pervasive effect on the organization trust. Relational dimension refers to the formation relationships among members and has a significant value in the interaction in the relation between subordinates and superiors, between colleagues, and between departments. Secondly, the cognitive dimension in the social capital was revealed to have no significant effect on the organization trust and structural dimension was revealed to have a positive(+) effect on the organization trust. Structural dimension refers to the capital value which shows itself in the social network and relationship existing between the members and is formed through building the best network within an organization. Thirdly, organization trust was revealed to have a positive(+) impact on the recommendation intention and to have a negative(-) impact on the turnover intention. Finally, the summary, implications, limitations, and future research direction of this study were presented.
The offshore wind farm is increasingly attractive as one of future energy sources all over the world. In addition, the capacity of an offshore wind turbine gets larger and its physical characteristics are big and heavy. In this regard, a special port is necessary to assemble, store, and transport the offshore wind systems, supporting to form the offshore wind farms. Thus, this study aims to provide a policy maker which evaluation factors can significantly affect to the optimal site selection of a offshore wind port. For this, Fuzzy-AHP method is applied to capture the relative weights. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. Five criteria in level I was defined such as the accumulation factor, the regional factor, the economic factor, the location factor, and the consortium factor. Of these, the accumulation factor(37.4%), the location factor(34.2%), and the economic factor( 24.5%) were analyzed by major factors. In level II, three assessment items of each factor were selected so that total fifteen items were formed. To sum up, the site selection of offshore wind port should consider the density of the wind industry, cargo volume of securing the economic operation of terminals, the development degree of offshore wind related industry, and the proximity to the offshore wind farms. In other words, the construction of offshore wind port should be paid attention to considering not only the proximity to offshore wind farms but also the preference of turbine manufacturing companies.
Unlike the era of manufacturing-oriented industrial economy in the past, the era of service economy has characteristics intangible goods center, knowledge universalization, and expansion of needs, and many things that are of the economy are changing. In the past, the change in the environment was not fast, so even after analyzing the changed environment and deriving the talent needed for the company, it was possible to maintain a talent for the organization for a long time, so it is not proactive to build and apply talent. It became difficult to manage effectively. Therefore, in this paper, we conducted a normative study for deriving a desirable talent model rather than a descriptive human resource model. Human resources image suitable for the modern service economy era, the modern economic society and modern spirit were analyzed and reflected. The model in which the two opposing members of the organization, managers and employees, interact intensely and balance dialectically. A desirable talent in a modern organization must play the role of a manager, and the management and talent models in a modern organization can be said to be connected to each other like the front and back sides of a coin. The philosophy of human resources was presented in five dimensions: human, historical, social, economic, and management. The human resource model from eight factors: mastery, rationality, wisdom, customer orientation, innovation, flexibility, autonomy, collaboration. This study suggested that general talent model may vary depending on the company's type, empirical follow-up studies are needed the talents in each company in the future.

In finance literature, stock liquidity showing how stocks can be cashed out in the market has received rich attentions from both academicians and practitioners. The reasons are plenty. First, it is known that stock liquidity affects significantly asset pricing. Second, macroeconomic announcements influence liquidity in the stock market. Therefore, stock liquidity itself affects investors' decision and managers' decision as well. Though there exist a great deal of literature about stock liquidity in finance literature, it is quite clear that there are no studies attempting to investigate the stock liquidity issue as one of decision making problems. In finance literature, most of stock liquidity studies had dealt with limited views such as how much it influences stock price, which variables are associated with describing the stock liquidity significantly, etc. However, this paper posits that stock liquidity issue may become a serious decision-making problem, and then be handled by using data mining techniques to estimate its future extent with statistical validity. In this sense, we collected financial data set from a number of manufacturing companies listed in KRX (Korea Exchange) during the period of 2010 to 2013. The reason why we selected dataset from 2010 was to avoid the after-shocks of financial crisis that occurred in 2008. We used Fn-GuidPro system to gather total 5,700 financial data set. Stock liquidity measure was computed by the procedures proposed by Amihud (2002) which is known to show best metrics for showing relationship with daily return. We applied five data mining techniques (or classifiers) such as Bayesian network, support vector machine (SVM), decision tree, neural network, and ensemble method. Bayesian networks include GBN (General Bayesian Network), NBN (Naive BN), TAN (Tree Augmented NBN). Decision tree uses CART and C4.5. Regression result was used as a benchmarking performance. Ensemble method uses two types-integration of two classifiers, and three classifiers. Ensemble method is based on voting for the sake of integrating classifiers. Among the single classifiers, CART showed best performance with 48.2%, compared with 37.18% by regression. Among the ensemble methods, the result from integrating TAN, CART, and SVM was best with 49.25%. Through the additional analysis in individual industries, those relatively stabilized industries like electronic appliances, wholesale & retailing, woods, leather-bags-shoes showed better performance over 50%.

The main purpose of the present study is to survey the major abstracting bulletins of national nature in Korea, to define such problem areas as lacunae, duplicates and limitation in coverage in the abstracting services currently available in Korea, and to make some suggestions for action for improving the abstracting services in the light of general principles and the tradition and situations unique to Korea. The major conclusions reached at this study are summarised as follows: (A) A new abstracting bulletin of general nature covering the whole field needs to be created in each of the following fields where no established abstracting service is available for the outcome of research and development activities in Korea. A realistic way of having such a bulletin may be to expand the present coverage of "The Abstracts of the Reports of the Government-sponsored Projects" currently published by Korean Research Foundation.
As the industrial paradigm shifts and the manufacturing industry declines, many changes also take place in the region as well. In this regard, interest in industrial heritage as a facet of cultural heritage is on the increase. In this paper, the meaning of regional 'cultural contents' as industrial heritage is investigated within the scope of specific region. It is meant to move beyond the viewpoint of considering industrial heritage as only relating to industrial machinery and relevant landmarks from the past. The concept of industrial heritage is established more clearly through the review policy and case study analysis of existing research; the analysis is conducted to investigate the characteristics associated with it, and then to explore how best to utilize it. In particular, this paper attempts to focus on how it operates within these parameters using a spatio-temporal context as much as possible, and concentrating on the recognition and experience of the subject of industrial heritage as being traceable through human story. This research is based on the case of 'Sapporo' which focuses on modern history based on historical importance, and the 'Cheongju' case study, which contrasts the former by focusing on urban regeneration using a spatial lens. This paper identifies the possibility of regional development through the examination of past identity and diversity in the present, and highlights the features that could be linked to future usability and development. In addition, it proposes the possibility that the cycle of regional development could change in the process of the different stages of territorialization, de-territorialization and re-territorialization.
The artificial increase in the solar intensity incident on solar cells using lenses or mirrors can allow solar cells to generate equivalent power with a lower cost. There are two types of concentration optics for solar energy conversion. One is to use mirrors, and the other is to use Fresnel lenses. The gains that can be achieved with a Fresnel lens or a parabolic mirror are compared. The result showed the gains are comparable and the two configurations were developed competitively. In application areas of Fresnel lenses as solar concentrators, several variations of design were devised and tested. Some PV systems still use commercially available flat Fresnel lenses as concentrators. A convex linear Fresnel lens to improve the concentration ratio and the efficiency is devised and flat linear Fresnel lens in thermal energy collection is utilized. In this study, we designed and optimized flat Fresnel lens and the 'light pipe' to develop 500X concentrated solar PV system. In the process, we compare the transmission efficiencies according to groove types. We performed rigorous ray tracing simulation of the flat Fresnel lenses. The computer aided simulation showed the 'grooves in case' has the better efficiency than that of 'grooves out case'. Based on the ray-trace results we designed and manufactured sample Fresnel lenses. The optical performance were measured and compared with ray-trace results. Finally, the optical efficiency was measured to be above 75%. All the design and manufacturing were performed based on that InGaP/InGaAs/Ge triple junction solar cell is used to convert the photon energy to electrical power. Field test will be made and analyzed in the near future.
Depending on the type and amount of acid used as a modulator in the manufacturing process, the structural properties of UiO-66 can be modified and the adsorbability of chemical warfare agents can be enhanced. In this study, several acids as a modulator were used to synthesize UiO-66. Their properties were analyzed with FT-IR, XRD, titrator, and adsorption isotherms using chemical warfare agent simulant, DIMP. The UiO-66, structurally damaged by hydrochloric acid as a modulator, showed lower crystallinity and DIMP adsorption capacity and also smaller specific surface area and volume of voids compared to those of UiO-66, which was manufactured using acetic acid, and formic acid as a modulator. Additionally, UiO-66 which was synthesized by adding formic acid and hydrochloric acid as a modulator, showed the highest DIMP adsorption capacity and is likely to be used as an adsorbent for chemical warfare agent in the future.
