Prior to the establishment of 'Employment-Related Big Data Center (tentative name)' to support the development of customized employment services. This Paper examines the current status and limitation of employment-related data in korea. Then, the implications were derived through foreign employment-related big data construction cases. Through the above analysis, I proposed measures to build and utilize employment-related big data at the individual level, focusing on the Transitional Labour Markets theory that emphasizes the implementation of individual labor force states. Finally, we presented future challenges such as massive maintenance of employment-related DB, increased representation of big data to be built around employment insurance DB, and increased reliability of DB presented.
This study aimed to investigate the influence of career barriers on employment decisions among high school students specializing in beauty-related field. The subjects of this study were 339 students attending beauty-specialized high schools in Gwangju Metropolitan City and Jeollabuk-do, and a self-written questionnaire was employed for conducting the research. This survey was conducted from April 4 to April 18, 2022. A total of 380 questionnaires were distributed, and 350 responses were collected. Of these, 339 questionnaires were considered for the final analysis, as the remaining 11 had incomplete or insincere responses. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, the career barriers affecting high school students in beauty-specialized schools were categorized into eight factors: lack of interest, economic difficulties, financial support, interpersonal challenges, job information, anxiety about future, conflict with others, and lack of self-clarity. Second, when assessing the impact of career barriers on employment decision-making, it was observed that the level of employment decision-making had a statistically positive (+) effect, and the lack of interest had a negative (-) effect on the level of employment decision-making. Next, the significance of the regression model, considering the specific factors of career barriers in relation to employment confidence, was established as p<.001. Variables such as a lack of interest, limited access to job information, and lack of self-clarity had a negative (-) effect on the level of employment confidence, with a significance level of 0.05.

This study aims to identify the contribution of factors to employment growth over the past 20 years (1996-2016) for seven metropolitan areas in Korea. For this purpose, we performed a multifactor partitioning (MFP) analysis based on the business survey data provided by Statistics Korea. The key findings of the analysis are as follows. First, over the long run, the region effect is dominant in metropolitan employment growth, followed by the industry mix effect. On the other hand, the dynamic MFP findings suggests that future regional employment disparities are likely to be explained by industry structure. Second, the gender mix and decent job mix effect do not significantly contribute to regional employment growth. However, the contributions of individual factors are not invalid, and it is possible to infer a pattern of declining employment for men-permanent workers and increasing employment for women-contingent workers. These results indicate the importance and necessity of employment policies that can promote structural transition in regional industries and qualitative growth accompanied by employment stability.
Although jobs in the employment service sector have been continuously expanding over the past 20 years, many in the labor market point out that the signaling and selection functions of job counselor qualifications are deteriorating because job counseling and psychology were developed mainly in the early 2000s. Therefore, in this study, a survey was conducted on current employment service workers on the establishment and improvement of employment service professional qualifications. According to the data analysis, employment service workers lack the current level of competence compared to their importance in all their jobs, and there is a limit to taking charge of all the expanded employment service jobs such as corporate support, administrative management, and labor market program planning and execution as a single job counselor. As for the direction of reorganization of employment service-related qualifications in the future, more than half agreed to establish new qualifications. Similarly, more than half of the respondents wanted to strengthen the qualifications of existing job counselors related to employment services.
This study is aimed at examining the employment preparation of Chinese migrant women and exploring measures to support their employment in a practical manner. To accomplish the objectives, in-depth interviews with 15 Han Chinese and Korean Chinese women, who represent the highest proportion in Korea, were conducted. Each interview lasted for about an hour and a half on average, and there were additional questionnaires and observations on vocational courses. Collected data was analyzed in 4 steps by utilizing the analysis methods suggested by Lichtman (the three C's of data analysis: codes, categories, concepts), which were transformed to fit the final data. The research findings are as follows. First, the fundamental reasons that Chinese migrant women seek employment in Korea are as follows: role model as a mother based on motherhood and the desire to be recognized as a member of society. Second, as for employment strategies, although all the respondents were only dependent on the referral of their acquaintances and national institutions, Han Chinese and Korean Chinese women had ambivalent attitudes toward each other. Third, they attributed the causes of unemployment to personal aspects such as the amount of effort made and luck, and social structural aspects, including employment instability and low acceptance of multi- cultural individuals. Fourth, the migrant women hoping for 'complete integration' in the future, suggested some practical employment support measures. Such measures should be established by comprehensively reflecting their reasons for getting a job, employment strategies, attributions of unemployment, and employment outlook, rather than as response measures to the low birth rate and aging issues in Korea.

The purpose of this study is to increase the employment rate of graduates in the fields of the S/W and H/W. In order to seek employment in various major fields of the S/W and H/W, firstly, this paper proposes the educational case study that increases the concern about employment and develops learner's ability in the unfavorable major fields. Secondly, this paper presents the future driving improvement for the employment rate on the basis of the department's special characteristics and the actual circumstances in the fields of the S/W and H/W. This paper conducts the surveys of each 40 seniors majoring in S/W and H/W respectively in order to measure the understanding of probability/statistics which has been used as tools in the unfavorable major fields. With the purpose of increasement on the employment rate, the paper is designed to have 3 steps, that is, a preliminary questionnaire for employment preference, major courses connecting probability/statistics and a post-questionnaire for employment preference, which eventually investigates the changes of the perception on employment. This paper is verified by the multiple regression analysis to approve the effect on improving learner's academic achievement.
This study carries out an empirical analysis of how workplace innovation affects employment growth. The theoretical model and hypotheses of this study are drawn from the previous research on the employment effects of innovation. I use the data on Workplace Innovation Indicators(2013-14) collected by Labor Foundation. As the regression models for this study, I adopt OLS models whose dependent variable is employment growth rate, and whose main independent variables are the adoption and the intensity(standardized values) of three innovative work practices such as TQM, employee suggestion plans and multi-skill training programs. The results of this study indicate that the adoption of workplace innovation does not have significant effects on employment growth, but that the intensity of workplace innovation has weakly positive effects on employment growth. Besides, the results of this demonstrate show that government-subsided organizational innovation consulting and training hours per capita have positive employment effects, but that wage level and prior employment size have negative ones. Finally the empirical results are outlined, and their limitations and the future direction of research on this topic are discussed.
The present study is designed to trace the successful reform steps taken within the vocational training system in the UK and to extract a set of instructive implications for Korea's future reform path towards an efficient vocational training system conducive to youth employment. To this end, this study focuses on three major aspects of the youth vocational training system: the government's role and partnerships between training and industry, the vocational training system, and the employment support system. Implications drawn from the comparative analysis are as follows. Vocational training reform should be made within the broad paradigm of youth employment promotion. All aspects of the youth vocational training system, such as the training program structure, program content, provider, management, so on, should be reformed, step by step, within a long-term plan. In addition to the vocational training reforms. employment support programs should be enlarged, and the service delivery system should be well structured in order to enhance the effects of the training reforms. For these reforms, it is essential to make fundamental changes in the following areas: integration of youth employment policy making and its administrative structures, reinforcement of partnerships between training and industry, nation-wide standardization of job skins, and the introduction of standardized job certificate classification on a national level.
This study is to examine the transition of employment relations depending on labor reform by U Thein Sein Government(2011~2015) in company level and implemented literature review and interview. The results of this study are as follow. According to contents of the legislative amendment pursued by U Thein Sein government, there were some changes in employment relations as the use of standard labor contract, the application of paid holidays, easy use of vacations/sick leave and the establishment of trade unions. But, after the adoption of the minimum wage system, there was not change in the employment relations to such an extent as to have a significant impact on the live of the laborers. So it is expected that development of the trade union representing laborers in the future is able to take mutually beneficial employment relations.
This study was planned to analyze the effect of the types of employment on work-related injury experience. The types of employment may have influenced on working conditions including the exposure to risk factors. Korean Working Conditions Survey have collected the various working conditions as household survey with structured questionnaire. The probability of work-related injury of self-employed is more than that of regular worker. But there is no difference of probability of work-related injury experience between regular and irregular worker controlled by general characteristics and the exposure to risk factors. Authors have found that the type of employment have indirect effect on work-related injury experience via the exposure to risk factors. The result of this study may be heuristic one because of data limitation as cross sectional survey data. In future, well designed survey data can evaluate the effect of the type of employment on safety and health status.
