Modern applications such as augmented reality, connected vehicles, video streaming and gaming have stringent requirements on latency, bandwidth and computation resources. The explosion in data generation by mobile devices has further exacerbated the situation. Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) is a recent addition to the edge computing paradigm that amalgamates the cloud computing capabilities with cellular communications. The concept of MEC is to relocate the cloud capabilities to the edge of the network for yielding ultra-low latency, high computation, high bandwidth, low burden on the core network, enhanced quality of experience (QoE), and efficient resource utilization. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive overview on different traits of MEC including its use cases, architecture, computation offloading, security, economic aspects, research challenges, and potential future directions.

The continuous excessive consumption of fossil fuels is causing global warming, climate, and environmental crisis. Accordingly, hydrogen energy attracts attention among alternative energies of fossil fuels, because it has the advantage of not emitting pollutants and not having resource restrictions. Therefore, various studies are being conducted on a water electrolysis system for producing hydrogen and a fuel cell system for producing electricity by using hydrogen energy as a fuel. In this study, 3D ionomer models were produced by reflecting the excessive water condition of an anion-conductive ionomer material, which is one of the core materials of water electrolysis systems and fuel cells. Finally, by analyzing the structural stability and performance of the ionomer under an excessively hydrated condition, we suggested a performance improvement factor in the design of an anion conductive ionomer, a key material for water electrolysis systems and fuel cells.

Computerization is recognized as simple supporting tools up to recently but Information is made for the improvement of company's outcome beyond the assistant tools and is emerged as core tools of creating new opportunities for company in point of management strategy. But Information plays minor role in Korean Institute of Oriental Medicine(KIOM) yet. Information has not processed systematically because of lack of understanding and budget in KIOM. The purpose of this research is to make plan for knowledge information which is aimed to make effective supporting and strengthening the ability of KIOM's research, until 2013. Also we tried to find new project s for information and to apply the result to planned information projects. The final goal of this study is to make mid/long-term information plan of KIOM. We applied the general information strategy planning(ISP) method which is progressed as analysis of information technology, analysis of information status, design of future model and extraction of action plan order. First, we examined the information elements for the advanced management from analysis of management environment and analyzed information technology trends. Second, we list up the gaps and problems of KIOM's information status and define the future model to solve this problems. It is showed the road map of time and budget for future model to progress systematically inner-information of purpose. We hope that information of KIOM will be conducted successfully.
This study seeks to propose and develop library science courses required in the digital age by investigating overseas LIS courses and surveying field librarians. Such courses must help the future librarian develop familiarity and skill with emerging technologies. As a result, required courses in the digital era were found to be: 'Design and Management of Databases', 'Library Planning, Marketing, and Assessment', 'Understanding Information Technology for Managing Digital Collections', and 'Information and Communication in a Digital Age' in that order, and should therefore be offered as core courses. In addition, 'Service for Information Disadvantaged Users' and 'Organization and Utilization of Web resources' were derived. The study also recommends different required courses based on different librarian types and duties.
To set up the future research and development direction for Auger bit, this study analyzed publicized patent trends of Deep Cement Mixing method (DCM) in Korea, USA, Japan, and Europe. DCM method was firstly classified into wing shapes and the number of rods according to the technical scope, and secondly, classified into 8 types according to type of screw and rotation axial. A total of 2,815 patents were searched and 448 validated patents were selected through de-duplication and filtering. As a result of the analysis of the portfolio through the number of patents and growth stages, it was selected as the core technology that auger is deemed to have high growth potential and if there is a patent similar to core technology through a patent barrier analysis, the basic data is suggested to develop the design around and differentiated technologies.
This study conducted comparative study on autonomous car's industry policy and corporate strategy of US, China, Germany, Japan and Korea. By analyzing core technologies and industry paradigm shifts of autonomous car industry, I was able to figure out autonomous car has high potential to be dominant transportation in the future and it is important to construct core competency in technology area. The meaningful findings by analyzing various primary and secondary data are as followings: First, in case of US, Google was leading autonomous car industry by developing its own OS and Platform. US government has been actively supporting and interacting with private firms and Universities for stimulating industry/technology convergence and establishing standard. Second, in case of Germany, autonomous car development was leading by several auto makers such as Mercedes, BMW in Hardware and manufacturing area, and German government was focusing on deregulations for private company. Third, in case of Japan which quite similar with German situation, they were both independently developing technology and expanding alliances with MNCs. And Japanese government was supporting triple helix system construction between local companies and universities. Fourth, in case of China, autonomous car industry was leading by IT companies, and various cooperations between IT companies and automakers were established. Chinese government was regulating foreign companies and supporting domestic companies both in market and technologies Last, in Korean case, the active and extensive alliances were lacking in Korean companies while strategic and strong government supports were missing in public sector. For competing with other countries and players, more active collaboration between different countries and strong policy supports are needed in Korean auto industry.

The Wafer Level Packaging is one of the most important technologies in the semiconductor industry today. Its primary advantages are its small form factor and low cost potential for manufacturing including test procedure. The CASIO's WLP samples, application example and the structure are shown in Fig.1, 2&3. There are dielectric layer , under bump metal, re-distribution layer, copper post , encapsulation material and terminal solder .The key technologies are 'Electroplating thick copper process' and 'Unique wafer encapsulation process'. These are very effective in getting electrical and mechanical advantages of package. (Fig. 4). CASIO and CMK are developing a new System Packaging technology called the Embedded Wafer Level Package (EWLP) together. The active components (semiconductor chip) in the WLP structure are embedded into the Printed Wiring Board during their manufacturing process. This new technical approach has many advantages that can respond to requirements for future mobile products. The unique feature of this EWLP technology is that it doesn't contain any solder interconnection inside. In addition to improved electrical performance, EWLP can enable the improvement of module reliability. (Fig.5) The CASIO's WLP Technology will become the effective solution of 'KGD problem in System Packaging'. (Fig. 6) The EWLP sample shown in Fig.7 including three chips in the WLP form has almost same structure wi_th SoC's. Also, this module technology are suitable for RF and Analog system applications. A variety of Generation III/III+ reactor designs featuring enhanced safety and improved economics are being proposed by nuclear power industries around the world to solve the future energy supply shortfall. Nanofluid coolants showing an improved thermal performance are being considered as a new key technology to secure nuclear safety and economics. However, it should be noted that there is a lack of comprehensible design works to apply nanofluids to Generation III+ reactor designs. In this work, the review of accident scenarios that consider expected nanofluid mechanisms is carried out to seek detailed application spots. The Axiomatic Design (AD) theory is then applied to systemize the design of nanofluid-engineered nuclear safety systems such as Emergency Core Cooling System (ECCS) and External Reactor Vessel Cooling System (ERVCS). The various couplings between Gen-III/III+ nuclear safety features and nanofluids are investigated and they try to be reduced from the perspective of the AD in terms of prevention/mitigation of severe accidents. This study contributes to the establishment of a standard communication protocol in the design of nanofluid-engineered nuclear safety systems.
