Investigating the Factors Associated with Post-Traumatic Growth in Parents of Children with Special Needs

  • The study introduces and validates a model of post-traumatic growth among parents of children with special needs. The model incorporates cognitive processes, coping strategies, and sociocultural factors as intra-personal variables. The statistical analysis unveiled significant pathways that connect the factors, explaining 71% of the variance associated with post-traumatic growth. The study highlighted intentional reflection and robust decentralization skills as crucial factors that predict post-traumatic growth. Deliberate rumination functioned as a mediating factor, reducing the impact of trauma and facilitating post-traumatic growth, while social support played a crucial role in initiating purposeful rumination. The study findings indicate that the effect of self-disclosure on post-traumatic growth is not direct but rather indirect, as it is mediated by its influence on social support and deliberate rumination. The study underscores the significance of examining particular characteristics of social support networks and suggests integrating additional variables for future research, such as gender, types of traumatic events, and the age of children with disabilities.

  • A smart meter is one of the core components in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) that is responsible for providing effective control and monitor of electrical energy consumptions. The multifunction tasks that a smart meter carries out such as facilitating two-way communication between utility providers and consumers, managing metering data, delivering anomalies reports, analyzing fault and power quality, simply show that there are huge amount of data exchange in smart metering networks (SMNs). These data are prone to security threats due to high dependability of SMNs on Internet-based communication, which is highly insecure. Therefore, there is a need to identify all possible security threats over this network and propose suitable countermeasures for securing the communication between smart meters and utility provider office. This paper studies the architecture of the smart grid communication networks, focuses on smart metering networks and discusses how such networks can be vulnerable to security attacks. This paper also presents current mechanisms that have been used to secure the smart metering networks from specific type of attacks in SMNs. Moreover, we highlight several open issues related to the security and privacy of SMNs which we anticipate could serve as baseline for future research directions.

치과용 지르코니아 이장재 처리에 따른 지르코니아와 도재의 전단결합강도 비교 (Shear bond strength of a layered zirconia and porcelain according to treatment of zirconia liner)

  • Purpose: Physical and chemical properties of gold is most suitable to be restored of teeth to its original state. Recently zirconia was used instead of gold because of esthetical and intimacy of human body. Because of high strength and high abrasion resistance of zirconia, all zirconia artificial tooth lead to wear the original tooth of opposite site. To preserve this original tooth, zirconia artificial tooth covered with dental ceramic glass was used. When joining the zirconia core and dental ceramic glass, difference of their thermal expansion coefficient and wetting ability is generated the residual stress at interface lead to crack. In order to solve this problem, intermediate layer what is called zir-liner was imported to decrease the residual stress and increase the bonding strength. Methods: In this study, to identify the optimum conditions for manufacturing process, various methods to rough the surface of zirconia core were adopted, and vary the thickness of interlayer, and analyzed bond strength. Results: Bond strength of sanding specimens group showed higher than that of non-sanding specimens group, and once applied intermediate layer with sanding specimens showed highest bond strength with 28 MPa. SEM photomicrographs of zirconia cores fired at $1500^{\circ}C$ showed parallel straight lines in sanding and pockmarked surface in blasting surfaces as abrasion traces. Observation of the destruction section after shear test by SEM were carried out. Liner applied non-sanding group and non-liner applied sanding group all showed interfacial crack. Sandblasting group with non-liner showed remained dental ceramic glass on the surface of zirconia. Sandblasting group with once applied liner showed partially remained liner and dental ceramic glass on the surface of zirconia. XRD analysis revealed that sandblasting group showed higher monoclinic peaks than other specimens group and this result was due to the high collision energy for stress induced phase transformation. Conclusions: A study on the improvement of bonding strength between zirconia and dental ceramic glass steadily carried out for the future to practical use.

산업혁명의 역사적 전개와 4차 산업혁명론의 위상 (Historical Development of Industrial Revolutions and the Place of So called 'the Fourth Industrial Revolution')

  • 이 논문의 목적은 산업혁명들의 역사적 흐름을 정리하고 이를 통해 2016년 세계경제포럼이 촉발한 4차 산업혁명론의 위상을 점검하는 데 있다. 우선, 이 논문에서는 1차, 2차, 3차 산업혁명의 전개과정을 검토한 후 해당 산업혁명의 특징을 도출하였다. 그 결과 4차 산업혁명에 관한 논자들이 인식하고 있는 산업혁명의 역사에는 핵심 기술과 시작 연도 등에서 상당한 문제점이 있다는 점을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 4차 산업혁명이 또 하나의 새로운 산업혁명인지에 대해 의문을 제기하면서 산업혁명이 성립될 수 있는 몇 가지 조건을 제안하였다. 결론적으로 최근에 열광적으로 논의되고 있는 4차 산업혁명은 일종의 작업가설에 불과하며, 한국적 상황에 적합한 미래 비전을 정립하는 것이 필요하다고 지적하였다.

중학교 과학영재학생과 일반학생들의 직업가치관 구조분석: 사회네트워크적 접근 (Analyzing the Structure of Science Gifted and General Middle School Students' Values of Career: Social Network Approach)

  • 직업가치관은 학생들의 직업동기 형성에 핵심적인 역할을 한다. 특히 지속가능한 미래 과학기술인력 공급과 육성을 위해서 과학영재들의 이공계 직업에 대한 직업가치관 형성은 중요한 의미를 지닌다. 이 연구는 사회네트워크 분석법을 통하여 중학교 과학영재와 일반학생들의 자신의 희망 직업과 관련된 직업 가치관을 비교 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 학생들이 희망하는 직업과 그 직업을 선택한 이유에 해당하는 직업가치관으로 구성된 네트워크를 구조화한 후, 사회 네트워크 분석법을 통해 산출된 네트워크의 구조적 지표들을 바탕으로 두 집단의 인식 네트워크의 특성을 확인하였다. 과학영재 학생들과 일반학생들의 네트워크를 비교분석한 결과, 첫째, 과학영재학생들은 창의성을 가장 중요한 직업가치관 요소로 생각하고 있었다. 둘째, 과학영재들은 직업선택 과정에서 일반학생들보다 다양한 직업가치관 요소들을 고려하고 있었다. 셋째, 과학영재들은 이공계열과 의약계열 직업 모두에 대해서 능력발휘와 같은 자아실현 관점을 중심으로 직업가치관을 고려했으나, 일반학생들은 사회봉사를 가장 큰 직업가치관 요소로 보고 있었다. 이 연구는 과학영재학생들의 희망 직업에 대한 직업가치관 구조가 일반학생과 많은 차이가 있음을 확인하고, 과학영재학생들의 진로 직업을 지도하는데 있어 직업가치관과 관련된 네트워크적 기초자료를 제공했다는데 그 의의가 있다.

Carrier Transport of Quantum Dot LED with Low-Work Function PEIE Polymer

  • Recently, colloidal core/shell type quantum dots lighting-emitting diodes (QDLEDs) have been extensively studied and developed for the future of optoelectronic applications. In the work, we fabricate an inverted CdSe/ZnS quantum dot (QD) based light-emitting diodes (QDLED)[1]. In order to reduce work function of indium tin oxide (ITO) electrode for inverted structure, a very thin (<10 nm) polyethylenimine ethoxylated (PEIE) is used as surface modifier[2] instead of conventional metal oxide electron injection layer. The PEIE layer substantially reduces the work function of ITO electrodes which is estimated to be 3.08 eV by ultraviolet photoemission spectroscopy (UPS). From transmission electron microscopy (TEM) study, CdSe/ZnS QDs are uniformly distributed and formed by a monolayer on PEIE layer. In this inverted QD LED, two kinds of hybrid organic materials, [poly (9,9-di-n-octyl-fluorene-alt-benzothiadiazolo)(F8BT) + poly(N,N'-bis (4-butylphenyl)-N,N'-bis(phenyl)benzidine (poly-TPD)] and [4,4'-N,N'-dicarbazole-biphenyl (CBP) + poly-TPD], were adopted as hole transport layer having high highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) level for improving hole transport ability. At a low-operating voltage of 8 V, the device emits orange and red spectral radiation with high brightness up to 2450 and 1420 cd/m2, and luminance efficacy of 1.4 cd/A and 0.89 cd/A, respectively, at 7 V applied bias. Also, the carrier transport mechanisms for the QD LEDs are described by using several models to fit the experimental I-V data.

  • 본 연구는 4차 산업혁명 기반 우리나라 군(軍) 조직이 미래 전장에서 승리할 수 있는 이정표를 제시하는 측면에서 출발한 연구이다. 따라서 본 연구의 제 1장 서론은 군사 선진국들이 4차 산업혁명 기반 국방분야의 산업기술 현황이 어떻게 운용되는지 거시적 측면에서 연구의 필요성에 대해 출발하며 제 2장 이론적 배경은 우리나라 국방분야의 4차 산업혁명 기술현황과 한국형 전투(선견·선결·선타)개념을 고찰하며 제 3장 군사 선진국의 국방로봇 기술 분석은 미국, 이스라엘, 독일의 무인 전투로봇에 대한 사례를 분석하였다. 결국, 미래전은 첨단플랫폼을 기반으로 초연결· 초지능화 군(軍)으로 도약했을 때 전장을 지배할 수 있을 것이다. 우리 군(軍)도 국방로봇을 전투체계별 특징에 부합되게 연구·개발하고, 군사적으로 활용해야 할 것이며 더 나아가 적의 사이버 및 전자전·우주 공격 등으로부터 아군의 핵심능력과 중심을 보호할 수 있는 전투수행 개념을 확대·발전시켜 나가야 할 것이다.

  • Recently, renewable power is rapidly increasing globally due to extensive effort to mitigate climate change and conventional power generation industry faces new challenges. The gas turbine technology has potentials to expand its role in future power generation based on the intrinsic characteristics such as fuel diversity and fast load following ability. Hydrogen is one of the most promising fuel in terms of reducing emissions and storing variable renewable energy and replacing hydrocarbon fuel with hydrogen has become very popular. Therefore, this paper presents the core technologies to combust hydrogen added fuel efficiently in gas turbines and the analysis of domestic and international R&D trends.

Application of digital polymerase chain reaction technology for noninvasive prenatal test

  • Recently, noninvasive prenatal test (NIPT) has been adopted as a primary screening tool for fetal chromosomal aneuploidy. The principle of NIPT lies in isolating the fetal fraction of cell-free DNA in maternal plasma and analyzing it with bioinformatic tools to measure the amount of gene from the target chromosome, such as chromosomes 21, 18, and 13. NIPT will contribute to decreasing the need for unnecessary invasive procedures, including amniocentesis and chorionic villi sampling, for confirming fetal aneuploidy because of its higher positive predictive value than that of the conventional prenatal screening method. However, its greater cost than that of the current antenatal screening protocol may be an obstacle to the adoption of this innovative technique in clinical practice. Digital polymerase chain reaction (dPCR) is a novel approach for detecting and quantifying nucleic acid. dPCR provides real-time diagnostic advantages with higher sensitivity, accuracy, and absolute quantification than conventional quantitative PCR. Since the groundbreaking discovery that fetal cell-free nucleic acid exists in maternal plasma was reported, dPCR has been used for the quantification of fetal DNA and for screening for fetal aneuploidy. It has been suggested that dPCR will decrease the cost by targeting specific sequences in the target chromosome, and dPCR-based noninvasive testing will facilitate progress toward the implementation of a noninvasive approach for screening for trisomy 21, 18, and 13. In this review, we highlight the principle of dPCR and discuss its future implications in clinical practice.

오픈소스 IDS/IPS Snort와 Suricata의 탐지 성능에 대한 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on Performance of Open Source IDS/IPS Snort and Suricata)

  • Recent growth of hacking threats and development in software and technology put Network security under threat, In addition, intrusion, malware and worm virus have been increased due to the existence of variety of sophisticated hacking methods. The goal of this study is to compare Snort Alpha version with Suricata 2.0.11 version whereas previous study focuses on comparison between snort 2. x version under thread environment and Suricata under multi-threading environment. This thesis' experiment environment is set as followed. Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-4690 3. 50GHz (4threads) of CPU, 16GB of RAM, 3TB of Seagate HDD, Ubuntu 14.04 are used. According to the result, Snort Alpha version is superior to Suricata in performance, but Snort Alpha had some glitches when executing pcap files which created core dump errors. Therefore this experiment seeks to analyze which performs better between Snort Alpha version that supports multi packet processing threads and Suricata that supports multi-threading. Through this experiment, one can expect the better performance of beta and formal version of Snort in the future.
