Fundamental Study on Performance Analysis and Design of Fuel Cell Vehicle (연료전지 자동차의 성능해석 및 설계에 관한 연구)

  • The main objective of the present study is to analyze the feasibility of fuel cell powered vehicle, which leads to carry out system design and performance analysis. The major design concepts which include battery, driving motor, and fuel cell module are analyzed and discussed for the future development. The traction power of fuel cell vehicle is calculated according to the driving courses specified. Further, the fuel cell stack is analyzed to determine the capacity of stack as a function of velocity for the appropriate power required.

  • Supercapacitors as novel energy storage devices between conventional capacitors and batteries, with more specific capacitance and energy densities than conventional capacitors and more power densities than batteries are to be used in many fields. And, social demand on fuel economy and reducing pollution needs equipment of new function such as energy storage system with good power performance, high cyclability and good energy efficiency. Supercapacitor is regarded as one of good alternatives for meeting the requirement of market with excellent power performance and high cyclability. This paper deals with the fundamental characteristics of supercapacitor unit and charge and discharge behavior of supercapacitor module for developing 42V hybrid energy storage system with lead acid battery and supercapacitor in order to adopt to 42V power net for vehicle.

  • The completion ('initiation' de facto) of the KASI Orbit Propagator and Estimator (KASIOPEA) has been delayed for several reasons unfortunately. Due to the lack of working staffs and the Division priority rearrangement, the initial plan was dismantled and ignored for many years. However, fundamental researches regarding the essential parts of KASIOPEA has been done by author. The numerical integration module of the KASIOPEA is the most sensitive part in the precision of the final output in general. There is no silver bullet in the numerical integration in an orbit propagation as a non-stiff ODE case. Many numerical integration method like single-step methods, multi-step method, and extrapolation methods have been used in overly populated orbit propagator or estimator. In this study, several popular methods from single-step, multi-step, and extrapolation methods have been tested in numerical accuracy and stability.

  • Let (R,m) be a commutative Noetherian local ring. In this paper we show that a finitely generated R-module M of dimension d is Cohen-Macaulay if and only if there exists a proper ideal I of R such that depth($M/I^nM$) = d for $n{\gg}0$. Also we show that, if dim(R) = d and $I_1{\subset}\;{\cdots}\;{\subset}I_n$ is a chain of ideals of R such that $R/I_k$ is maximal Cohen-Macaulay for all k, then $n{\leq}{\ell}_R(R/(a_1,{\ldots},a_d)R)$ for every system of parameters $a1,{\ldots},a_d$ of R. Also, in the case where dim(R) = 2, we prove that the ideal transform $D_m(R/p)$ is minimax balanced big Cohen-Macaulay, for every $p{\in}Assh_R$(R), and we give some equivalent conditions for this ideal transform being maximal Cohen-Macaulay.

  • Let R be a commutative Noetherian ring, a an ideal of R, and M a minimax R-module. We prove that the local cohomology modules $H^j_a(M)$ are a-cominimax; that is, $Ext^i_R$(R/a, $H^j_a(M)$) is minimax for all i and j in the following cases: (a) dim R/a = 1; (b) cd(a) = 1, where cd is the cohomological dimension of a in R; (c) dim $R{\leq}2$. In these cases we also prove that the Bass numbers and the Betti numbers of $H^j_a(M)$ are finite.

  • This paper refers and implements XML Web services, which supports networked interchanges of moving object information. XML Web services are expected to be fundamental building blocks in the move to distributed computing on the Internet. As an interchange format, GML encodes semantics, syntax, and schema of geospatial and geoprocessing-related information resources. It can give great benefits to utilize raw data easily as an XML encoding format does. This paper proposes a full coverage of interoperable location trajectory services consisting of 3 independent modules: a moving object database, a data processing server, and a web services interface module. For communications, SOAP protocols and WSDL documents are used, which can guarantee an interoperability of a system regardless of different platforms and service channels. This paper also designs a GML data format that represents location information of probe cars.

  • The fundamental object of work measurement is to precisely establish the time standards, which are the indices of labor productivity. This study discussed the development of robot work measurement method that could establish the time standard effectively. In manufacturing industries the various robot tasks are generally classified and standardized by the unit motions. The Robot Modularization of the Unit Motion (ROMUM) was realized by the module of two steps GET and PUT unit motions. This method reduced time and effort of analysis, and could be done with ease. Therefore, ROMUM will increase the convenience of use for the unskilled worker and decrease the time required, cost and errors. And, it will contribute to reduce the unnecessary motion by robot motion analysis.

  • A fundamental technology of UGV(Unmanned Ground Vehicle) to perform a given mission with success in various environment is a path planning method which generates a safe and optimal path to the goal. In this paper, we suggest a local path-planning method of UGV based on the binary map using world model data which is gathered from terrain perception sensors. In specially, we present three core algorithms such as shortest path computation algorithm, path optimization algorithm and path smoothing algorithm those are used in the each composition module of LPP component. A simulation is conducted with M&S(Modeling & Simulation) system in order to verify the performance of each core algorithm and the performance of LPP component with scenarios.

  • Feasibility of the small capacity fuel cell powered vehicle is carried out for system design with loading characteristics. The major design concepts which include battery, driving motor, and fuel cell module are analyzed and discussed for the future development. A load characteristics program is developed in order to calculate the traction power of fuel cell vehicle according to the driving courses specified. Further, the small capacity fuel cell vehicle is analyzed to determine the capacity of stack as a function of the velocity for an appropriate power required.
