SOME HYPERBOLIC SPACE FORMS WITH FEW GENERATED FUNDAMENTAL GROUPS

  • We construct some hyperbolic hyperelliptic space forms whose fundamental groups are generated by only two or three isometries. Each occurring group is obtained from a supergroup, which is an extended Coxeter group generated by plane re ections and half-turns. Then we describe covering properties and determine the isometry groups of the constructed manifolds. Furthermore, we give an explicit construction of space form of the second smallest volume nonorientable hyperbolic 3-manifold with one cusp.

  • In this paper, we establish the Fricke Group ΓF (N) which is a new special group of Non-Euclidean Crystallograhic (NEC) group. We obtain this group whose congruence subgroup Γ0(N) is expanded with Fricke reflection $F(z)={\frac{1}{N{\bar{z}}}}$. Then, we research and calculate the structure of signature and fundamental domain of this group. And then, we calculate the number of boundary components in the signature for this group. Finally, we find the 2, 3, ∞ valued link periods of these boundary components with the H. Jaffee technique.

  • This study investigated the effectiveness of integrated movement on children's fundamental and expressive movement ability in all-day kindergarten. Subjects were 52 children in 2 all-day kindergartens in Daejeon. The Subjects were divided into an experimental and a control group. Integrated movement activities were applied in the experimental group for 7 weeks. Integrated movement activities were focused on the life theme according to the annual and weekly education plan and were composed by integrating both the basic area and the application area of movement. At the end of the training period, differences were found in fundamental and expressive movement ability between the experimental and the control groups.

  • This paper describes the possibility of evaluating and classifying arthritic pathology using the acoustical analysis of knee joint sound. Six normal subjects and 11 patients with knee problems were enrolled. Patients were divided into the 1st patient group which required an orthopeadic surgery and the 2nd patient group of osteoarthritis. During sitting and standing periods, subjects' active knee flexion and extension were monitored. Fundamental frequency, mean amplitude of pitch, jitter and shimmer were analyzed according to the position. The results demonstrate that the values of fundamental frequency, jitter and shimmer of the 2nd patient group were larger than others and changed unstably. The values of the standing position were larger than the sitting position.

  • A folksonomy is a new classification approach for organizing information by users to freely attach one or more tags to various resources published on the web. Recently, in order to provide useful services and organize the folksonomy data, many collaborative tagging systems based on folksonomy offer additional functionalities for grouping each elements of a folksonomy. In this paper, organization framework for grouped folksonomy is proposed. That is, we suggest the grouped folksonomy model that is an extended folksonomy with the concept of "group" and fundamental operations(Group Aggregation, Group Composition, Group Intersection, Group Difference) for grouping of folksonomy elements. Also, we developed a supporting tool(GFO) that constructs grouped folksonomy and executes fundamental operations. And we introduce some cases using the fundamental operations for grouping of each elements of folksonomy. Based on suggested our approach, we can construct grouped folksonomy and organize and extract useful information from the folksonomy data by grouping each elements of a folksonomy.

  • We give a characterization for fundamental groups of graphs of groups amalgamating cyclic edge subgroups to be cyclic subgroup separable if each pair of edge subgroups has a non-trivial intersection. We show that fundamental groups of graphs of abelian groups amalgamating cyclic edge subgroups are cyclic subgroup separable, hence residually finite, if each edge subgroup is isolated in its containing vertex group.

Effects of the Reeducation of Core Fundamental Nursing Skills on Clinical Stress, Critical Thinking Disposition and Self-Confidence in Nursing Skills of Senior Nursing Students (핵심기본간호술 재교육이 졸업학년 간호학생의 임상실습스트레스, 비판적 사고성향 및 수행자신감에 미치는 효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to study the effects of the reeducation of core fundamental nursing skills on clinical stress, critical thinking disposition, and self-confidence in nursing skills of senior nursing students. Methods: A quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design was used. Participants were recruited from two nursing colleges. The sample consisted of an intervention group (n=33) that participated in the educational program and a control group (n=32). The data were collected using self-administered questionnaires. Data analyses utilized $x^2$-test & t-test. Results: After the reeducation of core fundamental nursing skills, senior nursing students had less clinical stress (t=-2.089, p=.041) and more self-confidence (t=1.008, p=.318) in nursing skills. However, it had no effect on critical thinking disposition (t=1.008, p=.318). Conclusion: Reeducation of core fundamental nursing skills is important to the nursing profession. Also, nurses who are self-confident in their nursing skills are less stressed about improving the quality of their work due to the reeducation of core fundamental nursing skills. Therefore, it is vital for nursing colleges to reeducate core fundamental nursing skills to their students before graduation.

A comparison of the absolute error of estimated speaking fundamental frequency (AEF0) among etiological groups of voice disorders (음성장애의 병인 집단 간 추정 발화 기본주파수 절대 오차 비교)

  • This study compared the absolute error of estimated fundamental frequency (AEF0) using voice - (VRP) and speech range profile (SRP) tasks across various etiological groups with voice disorders. Additionally, we explored the association between AEF0 and related voice parameters within each specific etiological group. The participants included 120 individuals, comprising 30 each from the functional (FUNC), organic (ORGAN), and eurological (NEUR) voice disorder groups, and a normal control group (NC). Each participant performed voice and SRP tasks, and the fundamental frequency of connected speech was measured using electroglottography (EGG). When comparing the AEF0 measures across the etiological groups, there were no differences in Grade and Severity among the patients. However, variations were observed in AEF0VRP and AEF0SUM. Specifically, AEF0VRP was higher in the ORGAN group than in the FUNC and NC groups, whereas AEF0SUM was higher in the ORGAN group than in the NC group. Furthermore, within FUNC and NEUR, AEF0 showed a positive correlation with Grade, while in ORGAN, it exhibited a positive correlation with the mean closed quotient (CQ). Attention should be paid to the application of AEF0 measures and related voice variables based on the etiological group. This study provides foundational information for the clinical application of AEF0 measures.

The Effects of Core Fundamental Nursing Program on Core Fundamental Nursing Skills Competency, Clinical Competency and Problem Solving Process (핵심기본간호술 교육프로그램이 핵심기본간호술 수행능력, 임상수행능력 및 문제해결과정에 미치는 효과)

  • This study was pre-experimental research designed to compare the differences between pre-and post the effect of core fundamental education program of senior nursing student′s core fundamental nursing skills, clinical competency and problem solving process for one semester. Core fundamental education program which consists of three steps, 12 session. The subjects of this study were 192 graduates of one nursing college and surveyed from March 20 to June 23, 2017. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the paired t-test, t-test, ANOVA by SAS for Windows(ver. 9.8) and AMOS(ver. 20.0) As a result, pre-post recognition level of core fundamental education program was nursing skills competency pre $(3.42{\pm}.42)$ and post $3.88({\pm}.61)$, clinical competency was pre $3.74({\pm}.47)$ and post $3.98({\pm}.67)$. The core fundamental nursing skills(p=.017), clinical competency(p=.041) increased significantly after education program. Core fundamental nursing skills, clinical competency and problem solving process was significantly different according to male group(p=.003/p=.013/p=.005), high satisfaction group in nursing major(p=<.000/p=.009/p=<.000), confidence improvement group(p=.044/p=.047/p=.004) at the core skill contest. In conclusion, this study showed that the core fundamental nursing education program of senior nursing students had a positive effect on core fundamental nursing skills and clinical competency.

Effectiveness of Video-Record Method on Fundamental Nursing Skill Education - Focused on Intramuscular Injection Practice - (기본간호학 실습교육에서 비디오 녹화학습의 효과연구 - 근육주사 실습교육을 중심으로 -)

  • Effectiveness of the videotaped-record learning method in teaching intramuscular injection skill was investigated using an experimental research methodology. Data was collected from 57 female students attending Fundamental nursing class from two depts. of nursing in Chung-ju and Seoul. The subjects were assigned to two groups, the experimental group of 30 and the control group of 27. The independent variable was videotaped-record learning method and the dependent variable were the degree of knowledge achivement, nursing skill achivement, competence on practicing intramuscular injection skill and satisfaction about the learning method. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, chi-square test, t-test and Pearson's correlation coefficient with SPSS-PC program. The results were summarized as follows ; 1. There was statistically significant difference between the experimental group and control group in knowledge achievement about intramuscular injections (t=4.721, P=.000). 2. There was statistically significant difference between the experimental group and control group in nursing skill achievement(t=3.542, P=.001). 3. There was no statistically significant difference between the experimental group and control group in competence on practicing intramuscular injection skill (t=.627, P=.533). 4. There was statistically significant difference between the experimental group and control group in satisfaction about learning method(t=4.708, P=.000). 5. There was significant correlation between nursing skill achievement and knowledge achievement(r=.233, p<.05). In conclusion, this study suggests that videotaped-record learning method is an effective learning method for achieving intramuscular injection skill as a basic nursing skills. Therefore, further study with more developed research design and other fundamental nursing skill practice will be needed to investigate the effectiveness of videotaped-recored learning method.
