Pervasive developmental disorders are characterized by lifelong impairments in fundamental social and/or communication skills and by the presence of seemingly purposeless and repetitive behaviors, interests, or activities. A number of possible biological etiologies, including genetic, structural and functional brain abnormalities, have been identified in patients with pervasive developmental disorders. In addition, clinicians should take the possibility of comorbid psychiatric conditions into consideration when making the differential diagnosis of pervasive developmental disorders.

The regioselective ring opening of epoxides using elemental iodine and bromine in the presence of methimazole (MMI, a anti-thyroid drug) and its metabolite methimazole-disulfide as new catalysts are studied. MMI easily converted in vitro to MMI-disulfide without any double activation presented in vivo. FT-Raman and UV spectroscopies are used to study the interaction of iodine with these catalysts. The results indicate that both catalysts are efficient in polyiodide formation, but MMI-disulfide can catalyze this reaction in higher yield and regioselectivity. The complex [(MMI-disulfide)I]+.I3- is considered to be formed initially which could be bulkier by addition of excess of iodine in the course of the reaction. These bulky nucleophiles have a fundamental role in the high regioselectivity by attacking the less sterically hindered epoxide carbon. In this study we suggest that MMI is readily converted to MMI-disulfide by interaction with iodine or activated iodine in thyroid gland, and this process is responsible for high anti-thyroid activity of MMI.

주민의 생명과 재산을 보호하고 재난으로부터 안전한 삶을 영위하기 위해서는 지역방재의 일익을 담당하고 있는 의용소방대의 운영체계를 효율적으로 개선하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구의 결과, 의용소방대원의 복무 중 만족도는 일반적으로 높았으며 주체적으로 봉사하고자 하는 경향으로 나타났다. 재난 방재에 대하여 전문지식이 부족하기 때문에 이들을 교육할 수 있는 전문 교육 프로그램의 개발과 직접적인 교육이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 의용소방대의 기능을 활성화하고 확대하기 위해서 의용소방대 활동의 기본이념의 정립, 효과적인 의용소방대원 선발 시험제도의 도입과 의용소방대 조직을 관리하는 전담 부서 구성 등이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

Traditionally, there are many inherent restrictions in highschool mathematics textbooks. They are restricted in its contents and inevitably resorted to reader's ability of intuition. So they are usually lacked logical precisions and have various differences in expressions. We are mainly concerned with the definite integral and its applications in current highschool mathematics II textbooks according to 6th curriculum. We choose 6 of them arbitrarily and survey by comparison to deduce some controversial topics among them as follows. 1) absurd metaphors in formula process 2) confusions in important notations and too much choices in terms and statements. 3) lack of precisions in - teaching hierarchy (between some contents of Physics and the applications of definite integral) - introducing a proof of theorem (fundamental theorem of Calculus I) - introducing the methods (integral substitutions 1, ll) 4) adopting small topics such as - mean value theorem of integral - integrals with variable limits. In coming 7th curriculum, highschool students in Korea are supposed to choose calculus as a whole, independent course. So we hope that the suggested controversial topics are to be referred by authors to improve the preceding Mathematics ll textbooks and for teachers to use them for better mathematics education.

사이버 공격의 지능화, 조직화로 몇몇 소수의 정보보호 전문가만으로 사이버 위협에 대응할 수 없는 시대가 되었다. 이에 따라 대학의 정보보호 관련학과가 2013년에 비해 17%나 증가했다. 하지만 대학의 교육은 실제 산업현장에 필요한 인력을 양성하는데 한계를 노출하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이를 개선하기 위해 정보보호 직무체계 및 분야별 필요 교육 내용에 대한 연구를 조사하였다. 이후 이를 바탕으로 대학에서 학습되어야하는 정보보호 분야를 도출하였다. 그리고 도출된 분야의 교육과정을 운영하기 위한 방안으로 교육내용 선정 및 인증에 대한 방안을 제시하고 있다. 본 연구를 국가 정보보호백서에서 조사되는 정보보호 인력 현황과 연계해 대학 정보보호 관련학과의 분야를 조절할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 그리고 실 현장의 수요를 반영한 인력을 배출할 수 있는 정보보호 인력 중장기 계획의 기초 연구로 활용되고자 한다.

Propellant consumption control for space launch vehicle can be achieved by propellant utilization system (PUS) and tank depletion system (TDS). In the course of developing new space launch vehicles, the main target of design is on reducing of space launch vehicle weight, which results in increasing both specific impulse and payload weight. The weights of space launch vehicles are generally allocated to structure, propulsion system, and propellants loaded. The quantity of propellants filled in propellant tanks may be estimated with the propellants actually consumed by propulsion system to complete its mission and the propellants left on-board at the time of engine shut-off. To minimize the remaining quantity of propellants on-board the supplying propellants' O/F ratio should be controlled from the certain time before engine shutdown. To control an O/F ratio, a control system, which accurately measures and compares the remainder of propellants in tanks and pipes, should be needed. This paper solely dedicates its contents to explore the merits and demerits of various level sensor, which is one of the important elements for PUS and TDS, and the transmission and control of signals within space launch vehicle.

Purposes of this study were to provide the basic information for the management policy for more preserve and refreshing Gusumok-big and old tree. Fundamental directions for the protection and application of Gusumok were suggested by comparing and analyzing present conditions and remnant forms of Gusumok as preserved tree in Kyung-ju and its function and the role of Gusumok according to the civilization and diference between past and present. The main results of the study are as follows ; There are 121 Gusumok which designated as a preserved tree in Kyung-ju. It is distributed all over the Kyung-ju city uniformly and located in the enterance or the center of a village having high interests of most of residents. in the course of a civilzation, the percintage of a loss of an urban Gusumok is higher than that of a rural Gusumok and its function is also changed so much. A modern function of Gusumok can be divided into a positive and negative one. A positive function is the offer of amenity and the place of receation, formation of culture and ragulation of micro climate. A negative function is of psycholosical and functional reversed function. having a close relation with our life, Gusumok offers an amenity place to our life to make us feel soft and comfortable as well as developes the quality of our life. Gusumok has an important meaning in mordern society in that it contibutes to our village being better to live by having a historical meaning and creating a symbolic culture and history.

본 연구는 폐폴리에틸렌필름(폐비닐)을 아스팔트 혼합물에 첨가하여 아스팔트 포장재료의 품질특성을 향상시키고 환경적으로 문제가 되고 있는 폐비닐을 재활용하기 위한 연구의 일환으로 수행되었다. 폐비닐 사용시 나타날 수 있는 포장체의 특성을 파악하기 위하여 국내에서 가장 많이 수거되는 LDPE 폐비닐을 사용하여 현장에서의 실용성을 고려한 건식혼합법으로 아스팔트 혼합물을 제조하였다. 제조한 혼합물에 대하여 마샬안정도 시험, 간접인장강도 시험, 반복주행시험 및 피로시험을 수행한 결과 폐비닐을 혼합한 혼합물이 일반혼합물에 비하여 인장강도가 향상되고 윤하중에 의한 소성변형 저항성 및 피로균열 저항에 크게 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to construct fundamental information for the usefulness and effects of thermography in Thoroughbred horses. total 10 horses were examined to determine a normal thermal pattern before and after sedation in lower limbs and ophthalmic area, and to investigate the effects of thermography during 42 days after induced wound and arthritis. In normal horses, the range of temperature difference(${\Delta}T$) of symmetry site in lower limbs was 0.20 to $0.68^{\circ}C$ on pre-sedation, which was simillar to that of post sedation, 0.17 to $0.74^{\circ}C$, and eyeball area was 0.34 to $0.68^{\circ}C$. Thermographically, the warmest area in normal limbs were coronary band of frontal view and the region between heel bulbs of back view. And temperature difference(${\Delta}T$) after clipping in left forelimb was increased 1 to $3^{\circ}C$ more than before clipping. However, there was no significant change of the temperature difference and degree of clinical signs by the process of inflammation healing during the experiment period in the all groups. These results suggest that the thermography was especially helpful in following clinical course of a disease because the thermal pattern will return to normal with declining clinical signs and healing of the lesion.

3D form study is one of basic subjects in industrial design education. There are an array of textbooks of visual art, design and architecture, most of which address basic geometrical form study and abstract forms. With the introduction of computerization, current trends are directed to reduce basic form education and students' participation in classes and their accomplishments. This study was intended to develop works under a theme of furniture design with concrete shapes and functions. This study focused on developing relevant process by fusing 3D form study and furniture design which fall into basic design and design studio subjects, respectively. Among 3D form studies, applied were a concept of 3D configuration that explores the relations between surface forms and 3D forms. Furniture design is a challenge to students at beginner or intermediate level in basic design education from initial devising stage to production in kind. To ease high level of difficulties at designing and producing stages, technical education was systematized in the process of conceptualizing, developing idea and production. This type of challenge was carried out during separate semesters, along with a case study done to develop different types of challenges. This study helped students to be motivated and actively participate in classes and well perform advanced form study and technical training from design to actual production.
