Comprehensive Vibration Assessment Program for Yonggwang Nuclear Power Plant Unit 4

  • A Comprehensive Vibration Assessment Program (CVAP) has been performed for Yonggwang Nuclear Power Plant Unit 4 (YGN 4) in order to verify the structural integrity of the reactor internals for flow induced vibrations prior to commercial operation. The theoretical evidence for the structural integrity of the reactor internals and the basis for measurement and inspection are provided by the analysis. Flow induced hydraulic loads and reactor internals vibration response data were measured during pre-core hot functional testing in YGN 4 site. Also, the critical areas in the reactor internals were inspected visually to check any existence of structural abnormality before and after the pre-core hot functional testing. Then, the measured data have been analyzed and compared with the predicted data by analysis. The measured stresses are less than the predicted values and the allowable limits. It is concluded that the vibration response of the reactor internals due to the flow induced vibration under normal operation is acceptable for long term operation.

기능성소화불량에 대한 담음 변증설문지 개발과 신뢰도 및 타당도 검정 (Development of a Phlegm Pattern Questionnaire for Functional Dyspepsia and Analysis of Its Reliability and Validity)

  • Objectives: The aim of this study was to develop a Phlegm Pattern Questionnaire for Functional Dyspepsia (PPQ-FD) by modifying a previously developed Phlegm Pattern Questionnaire (PPQ) and to verify its reliability and validity. Further objectives were to obtain the optimal cut-off value for the PPQ-FD for standardization and for clinical use. Methods: The PPQ-FD was developed by extracting the major symptoms of the phlegm pattern in functional dyspepsia and by using the Delphi method to administer a requested importance survey to experts. The reliability, validity, and optimal cut-off value of the PPQ-FD were analyzed by enrolling a total of 60 subjects in this study. Thirty patients were diagnosed with both functional dyspepsia and phlegm pattern and thirty patients were diagnosed with only functional dyspepsia. All participants were requested to fill out the PPQ-FD. Results: No statistically significant differences were detected in the two groups for sex distribution, age, or body mass index. Five of the survey questions negatively affected its reliability; therefore, we decided to exclude those five questions on further inspection. The Cronbach's α coefficient of the revised PPQ-FD was 0.853, and clinical validity was verified. Construct validity was analyzed by factor analysis and identified four factors. Statistically significant positive correlations were found between the revised PPQ-FD and other dyspepsia scales, such as the SQDQ, SSQD, VAS, NDI-K, and FD-QoL scales. The VAS had particularly strong positive correlations with the PPQ-FD. Conclusions: The PPQ-FD developed in this study has fundamental reliability and validity for use as a pattern-diagnosis questionnaire. The PPQ-FD can help to diagnose the phlegm pattern in patients with functional dyspepsia.

투습방수 직물을 사용한 기능성 아우터의 특성 분석 - 소재, 세탁·취급, 디자인, 패턴, 부자재, 봉제를 중심으로 - (Analysis of Characteristics of Functional Outers with Moisture-permeable Waterproof Fabric - Focus on Fabrics, Washing·Cares, Design, Patterns, Subsidiary Materials, and Sewing -)

  • This study investigated fabrics, washing and cares, design, pattern, subsidiary materials, and sewing methods with a focus on the functional outers using moisture-permeable waterproof fabric as a shell; in addition, each element was analyzed for differences depending on fabric type. The characteristics of 34 outers were investigated through labels, online product introductions, visual inspection, observations from two experts with more than 30 years experience and wear tests. Moisture-permeable waterproof fabrics used for the outer were classified into two types; in addition, the shell of the high-density fabric and the 2 & 3-layer fabrics had different characteristics. Various fabrics, detailed designs, and three-dimensional patterns suitable for each part of the human body were used to improve functionality. In addition, various subsidiary materials and sewing methods were used to form an organic relationship. The same washing and cares, patterns and subsidiary materials were used regardless of fabric type; however, the fabric type influenced the detailed design and sewing. The outers with high-density fabric had a loose fit, short placket, e-banded cuffs, lock-stitch, and lock-stitch+binding. However, the outer with 2 & 3 layer fabric had a slim fit, hood width adjustment, zippered pockets, cuffs with tab, seamless adhesive sewing such as laminating, lock-stitch+ seam-sealing, and welding.

Quality Evaluation of Ultrasonographic Equipment Using an ATS-539 Multipurpose Phantom in Veterinary Medicine

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the status of quality control using multipurpose phantom of ultrasound equipment used in hospital of veterinary college in South Korea by using ATS-539 multipurpose phantom so as to examine quantitative and objective new image evaluation method. Specialists discussed and analyzed multipurpose phantom images acquired by using convex transducer of 10 ultrasound imaging devices, currently used in 9 veterinary colleges, at 4.0-6.0 MHz. Total 8 items that can be measured with ATS-539 multipurpose phantom including dead zone, vertical and horizontal measurement, axial/lateral resolution, sensitivity, focal zone, functional resolution and gray scale/dynamic range were evaluated. For qualitative evaluation, valid decisions were made based on dead zone, axial/lateral resolution, and gray scale/dynamic range which are resolution index, and coefficient of variation (COV) and blind referenceless image spatial quality evaluator (BRISQUE) were found to increase objectivity. As a result of experiment, all the targeted ultrasonic devices were found appropriate from qualitative evaluation items of dead zone, axial/lateral resolution, and gray scale/dynamic range. In other evaluation items, they were found to be appropriate from focal zone and vertical measurement of quantitative evaluation while inappropriate from horizontal measurement, sensitivity, and functional resolution. COV value was 0.12 ± 0.04, and BRISQUE value was 47.77 ± 2.77, both analysis results show that the noise level of all ultrasonic devices was located within tolerance range. Upon image examination using ATS-539 multipurpose phantom, they were 100% appropriate with inspection standards of dead zone, axial/lateral resolution, and gray scale/dynamic range, and besides, focal zone and functional resolution can be used as evaluation items. In the field of veterinary medicine, 8 standard items using ATS-539 multipurpose phantom and image evaluation items using COV and BRISQUE can be used as standards for quality control of ultrasonography machine.

연약지반에 설치된 항만 외곽시설의 안전점검을 위한 침하 평가 간편식 제안 - 사석경사제 중심으로 (The Practical Simplified Equation for Settlement Evaluation of Counter Facility in Soft Ground Centering on Rubble Mound)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 육상구조물과 비교하여 특수한 설치환경 및 목적을 가지고 있는 항만 외곽시설에 대한 보다 현실적인 침하 평가기준을 제안하는데 있다. 최근 신항만 개발 사업으로 축조된 외곽시설 특히 방파제는 먼 바다의 연약 지반에 설치되는 경우가 많다. 외곽시설은 자중으로 파랑 등의 외력에 직접 저항하는 구조물로 그 중량이 상당하여 연약 지반 위에 설치되는 경우에는 침하가 쉽게 발생하지만 구조물의 안정성 또는 기능성에 큰 영향을 주지 않는다. 하지만 현행의 안전점검 세부지침은 이러한 외곽시설의 특성을 고려하지 않은 침하 평가기준을 제시하고 있다. 이에 보다 현실적으로 외곽시설의 침하를 평가할 수 있는 간편식을 제안하였다. 간편식은 설계에서 고려한 허용잔류침하량과 침하 안정성평가 결과를 적용하여 최대 침하량을 선정하도록 하였다. 제안된 간편식의 적정성을 검증하기 위하여 최근 실시한 방파제 6개소의 측량 평가결과와 제안된 간편식 적용결과를 비교하였다. 간편식을 적용하였을 때, 기존 평가결과보다 침하 평가등급이 상향되었으며, 안정성평가 결과 적용 시에는 실제 측량결과와 거의 유사한 결과가 얻어짐을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 간편식을 활용하여 침하평가를 실시할 경우, 구조물에 안정성 및 기능수행 여부와는 무관하게 낮게 평가되는 기존의 침하평가를 보다 현실적으로 실시할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

3D CAD 모델 기반 해양플랜트 배관 공정 모니터링 시스템 개발 (A Development of Offshore plant Piping Process Monitoring System Based on 3D CAD Model)

  • 3D CAD 시스템으로 설계된 해양플랜트 배관재 모델들은 2D 배관 제작도와 설치도의 형태로 생산 공정에 제공되고, 기본 엔지니어링 정보와 함께 통합 공정관리시스템에서 원자재의 구매, 조달, 제작, 설치 및 검사가 체계적으로 관리되어 진행된다. 기존의 통합 공정관리시스템은 자원의 흐름 및 진행 상황을 체계적으로 관리하여 공정 시수 절감에 많은 기여를 하고 있지만, 3D 설계 형상 모델 정보를 포함하고 있지 않기 때문에 배관 설치 작업 전에 복잡한 배관 구조를 파악하거나, 잦은 설계 변경으로 인해 연관된 도면을 찾을 때 상호간 신속한 정보 교류가 어려운 단점을 가지고 있었다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 3D 모델을 기반으로 하는 해양플랜트 배관 공정 모니터링 시스템을 개발하였다. 본 시스템은 3D 모델 기반 배관 모니터링 시스템은 Visual Studio 2017 C#과 UNITY3D를 기반으로 배관 공정 작업 정보가 3D CAD 모델과 실시간 연동될 수 있도록 구성하였다. 그리고 블록, 크기, 재료에 따른 배관 설치 공정 진행 흐름 뿐만 아니라, 청소, 수압검사, 공압검사 등 기능 검사 항목별 진행 흐름을 3D 모델상에서 실시간으로 확인할 수 있도록 하였다. 작업자는 개발된 시스템을 통해 생산 현장에서 실시간으로 배관 공정 진행 흐름을 포함한 3D CAD 모델을 쉽게 파악함으로써 작업 효율성 향상에 많은 기여를 할 것으로 기대된다.

  • Korea Rail Network Authority ordered Urban Transit Magrev System on the alternative tender lines. The project was contained order with GS Construction and Yooshin Corporation as a result of competition as 5 consortium. Urban Transit Magrev System route was constructed in the whole Yeongjong-dong and Yongyu-dong, Jung-gu, Inchen. The main project is via transportation center in Inchen Int'l airport ~ Work complex ~ Water park ~ Yongyu-station and has Total continuation of 6.1kilometers, Station of 6 spot, Car base of a spot, go out line(a single line) of 380meters. Scale of construction is Major of Roadbed, Railroad, Building, Inspection and Repair facilities. The first Urban Transit Magrev System in Korea is a new symbol of Korea and has polished beauty and creative artistry based on functional perfection. It was designed in harmony with Inchen Int'l Airport improving the dignity of SOC design.

  • Eddy Current Examination is expected as the effective technique for nondestructive inspection of steam generator and various kinds of heat exchanging tubes made of STS - 304. In Case of E. C. T, a study on the various factors which have an effect on coil impedance is very important to the sensitivity of defect detection and the ratio of signal to noise. Therefore, this study analyzed coil impedance by means of the variational principle, the minimized theory of energy functional and the application of Finite Element Method. Really by using E. C. T, the relationship between the size of defects and the intensity of Eddy Current Signals can be obtained. Signal intensity becomes maximum at certain frequency. This frequency is affected by the characteristics and the position of signal sources.

  • 복잡한 생산시스템 속에서 빠른 속도로 제품을 생산하기 위해서 도입된 신형 고성 능 기계류의 경우에는 검사 작업자가 제품의 결점을 검출하기가 매우 어렵다. 검사작 업을 위해서 충분한 시간이 주어진다면 정확하게 처리할 수 있겠지만, 실제로는 많은 제약이 있다. 이러한 관점에서 검출오류의 결과에 대한 중요성은 증가되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 검사작업의 개인차에서 비롯하는 작업자의 결점검출방법에 관하여 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해서, 먼저 피실험자를 대상으로 두가지 작업방법, 즉 기능적 검사(functional search)를 하는 작업자와 지형적 검사(topographic search)를 하는 작업자로 나누어 실험을 하였다. 또한 이들이 검사작업을 하는 동안 일어나는 안구운동(eye movements)의 몇가지 요인을 측정하여 시각검사작업에 영향을 미치는 안구운동요인을 파악하고자 한다.

미세직경 악관절경을 이용한 악관절 closed lock 환자의 치료

  • Visually guided irrigation and lysis(VGIL) using temporomandibular joint(TMJ) arthroscope is useful for decreasing pain and increasing the functional mobility of TMJ. Also it demonstrated similar effectiveness comparing with arthrocentesis. Arthroscopy permits intracapsular inspection that is imperative not only for identification of morphological characteristics of joint space, but also for adequate irrigation and lysis of specific joint space. Conventional 2.3mm diameter arthroscope with 2.7mm catheter was too wide. So it was traumatic and uncomfortable to manipulate on temporomandibular joint space, especially on TMJ internal derangement patient with reduced space. We report our clinical experience on 6 TMJ closed lock patients who were treated with new 1.2mm fiberscope at Chung Hoon Dental Clinic between March 2003 and August 2003. Also we present clinical advantage & disadvantage of new system with literature review.
