Studies on housing concept currently activated by environmental psychology are in its early stage of developement. The trends can be characterized as case oriented, phenomenological, and exploratory. The purpose of this research was to explore empirically the housing concept from residents living in multi family housing complex through their verbal expressions. Subjects were 63 housewives of middle class households in Junggae area. Interview technique with open questions about housing concept and images was used. The responses were analyzed using content analysis in which episode was the analysis unit. Relaxation appeared the most important aspect of housing concept This seemed to imply the need for escaping from the modern city life with too much stimulus or stress. Answers on specific images considered desirable to keep and continue from past traditional housing to future housing showed their strong need for natural green environment such as garden and park. This supported the concept of relaxation as a major function of modern housing and showed a specific alternative mean to satisfy the relaxation concept.

The main purpose of this paper is to present the buckling loads of tapered columns due to dynamic concept. The ordinary differential equation governing the bucking loads for tapered columns is derived on the basis of dynamic concept. Three kinds of cross sectional shape are considered in the governing equation. The Improved Euler method and Determinant Search method are used to perform the integration of the differential equation and to determine the buckling loads, respectively. The hinged-hinged, hinged-clamped, clamped-clamped and free-clamped end constraints are applied in numerical examples. The buckling loads are reported as the function of section ratio, and the effects of cross-sectional shapes are investigated. The buckling load equation, which are fitted by numerical data, are proposed as a function of section ratio. It is expected that these equations can be utilized in structural engineering field.

Chaotic dynamics have been studied by many researchers in the fields of biology, physics, and engineering. Interest in chaos is also expanding to the social sciences such as politics, economics, and others, including the prediction of societal events. The concept of leisure has developed from a passive concept correlated with relaxation, entertainment, and ideology formation into a positive concept that assumes a more active role. As information and communications technology develops, digital leisure activity is expected to continue spreading. This expansion of digital leisure function correctly, as well as. Traditional leisure activity functions correctly more, whereas digital leisure activity is predicted to function incorrectly more often. In this paper, we propose a mathematical addiction model of digital leisure that deals with its dysfunctions such as addiction to digital leisure, including computer games, internet search, internet chatting, and social media. Herein, to solve addiction to digital leisure, we propose a model derived from a nicotine addiction.

본 논문은 예비교사들이 함수교육과 관련된 subjective-matter knowledge와 pedagogical content knowledge를 어떻게 효율적으로 의미있게 학습하고 발전시키는 가에 대하여 조사하였다. 함수의 기본개념과 원칙, 그리고 그들이 어떻게 조직되었는지를 이해하는 능력과 의미있는 함수학습이 가능하도록 그들을 표현하고 구성하는 능력을 증진시키기 위하여 본 연구에서는 구성주의와 협동학습에 기반 한 학습방법을 채택하였다. 사전, 사후테스트와 인터뷰를 통하여 평가한 결과 소그룹 구성원들과의 상호작용 결과를 전체 구성원과의 토론을 통하여 학습하는 과정에서 보다 깊이 있고 확장된 subject-matter knowledge와 다양한 pedagogical content knowledge를 획득하게 되는 결과를 얻게 되었다.

The flood damage reduction studies have been performed by the channel improvement plan and the levee has mainly constructed with the freeboard concept. However, the freeboard concept might be an inappropriate choice as a safety factor of the levee because many uncertainties are involved in the procedure of the channel improvement plan studies. So, we considered the uncertainties In the discharge-probability, stage-discharge, and stage-damage functions and estimate the expected annual damage. The Monte Carlo technique for uncertainty analysis is used. As our results, the expected annual damage with uncertainty shows the larger value than without uncertainty. Since the expected annual damage with uncertainty already considers the safety factor it is the proper result. However, the expected annual damage without uncertainty does not consider the safety factor yet. Thus, if the expected annual damage without uncertainty considers the freeboard concept, it could be compared with the expected annual damage with uncertainty for the evaluation of the overestimation or underestimation of the levee construction.

This study is to know the concept and function of Vital Gate. The results are summarized as follows, 1. Vital Gate is the original of life, which is essential to life. 2. A physiological function of Vital Gate controls the physiological activity of the whole body through Triple Heater. 3. It is said that a partial establishment of Vital Gate is the concept of Hwang Jeong(黃庭) as the central point of the body. 4. It is effective that a clinical application of Vital Gate uses on the basis of Zoagyuyeum(左歸飮) and Woogyuyeum(右歸陰). 5. Fire of the Vital Gate means a original activity of life-activity and is different from the concept of the fire of Pericardium as a substitute for King Fire. 6. It is said that to explain the essence of Vital Gate in relation of kidney is to say the generative function. According to the above results, Vital Gate is understood as the control of physiological activity of the whole body as the original point of life-activity.

A new concept of stability that includes Lyapunov and orbital stabilities and leads to concepts in between them is discussed in terms of a given topology of the function space. The criteria for such new concepts to hold are investigted employing suitably Lyapunov-like functions and the comparison principle.

In this paper we introduce a new concept, a 'periodicizing' function for the linear differential equation with the periodic forcing function. Moreover, we construct this function, which is closely related with the solution of a difference equation and an indefinite sum. Using this function, we can obtain a representation of solutions from which we see immediately the asymptotic behavior of the solutions.

In this paper we define the concept of $Fr{\acute{e}}chet$ function algebras on hemicompact spaces. So we show that under certain condition they can be represented as a projective limit of Banach function algebras. Then the class of $Fr{\acute{e}}chet$ Lipschitz algebras on hemicompact metric spaces are defined and their relations with the class of lipschitz algebras on compact metric spaces are studied.
