  • In this paper, interleaved boost converter is applied as a pre-regulator in switch mode power supply. Interleaved Boost Power Factor Preregulator (IBPFP) can reduce input current ripple as a simple voltage control loop only without inner current loop, because input current is divided each 50% by two switching devices. IBPFP can be classified as three cases from duty ratio condition in continuous current mode and be carried out state space averaging small signal modeling. According to modeling, the PID controller is applied and voltage control loop is constructed for suitable design condition. From frequency domain analysis, it is verified that control system is satisfied with design condition of switch mode power supply.

  • Generally, stray capacitance is unnecessary element of designing circuit, because it can not be predicted by a designer. But we propose LC Resonant Circuit using stray capacitance of transformer. This method proposes miniaturization of circuit, because LC Resonant Circuit can be make simply to using stray capacitance instead of capacitor and size of transformer is reduced. Finally, we research aspect of dielectric heating by change of frequency and output voltage using developed converter.

  • In conventional zero-current-switching(ZCS) PWM converters, zero-current turn-off for main switch without increasing voltage/current stresses is achieved at a fixed frequency. The switching loss, stress, and noise, however, can\`t be minimized because they adopt auxiliary switches turned off and main switches turned on under hard-switching condition. In this paper, new ZCS-PWM converters of which all switches are always operating with soft-switching condition are proposed. Therefore, the proposed ZCS-PWM converters are most suitable for systems requiring high-power density Breadboarded ZCS-PWM boost converters using power MOSFET are constructed to verify theoretical analysis.

  • In this paper, as a part of the method improving stability, the load-flow calculation in D.C. power system and the models for stability analysis are studied with A.C-D.C. interconnected power systems transmission performed. Moreover, the theory is established in relation to each control method of D.C. power systems. Then the stability of A.C-D.C.interconnected power systems is compared and considered by the way of dividing the operating control method of the rectifier inverter converter into ACR-AVR, APR-A.gamma.R, A.alpha.R-ACR. The dynamics characteristic of terminal voltage, frequency, active-reactive power and rotor angle of the generator with disturbances and load fluctuations is considered. In addition, the characteristic of direct voltage, direct current, power and control systems. From this the comparative analysis of the direct current control method, the possibility of the stability analysis of A.C.-D.C. interconnected power system is considered.   • This paper presents a design techniques for an electronic ballast of HID lamps. An electronic ballast for HID lamps usually employs a high frequency resonant inverter and voltage-to-frequency converter to control the output and a half-bridge and series resonant circuit are chosen for the ballast. In this paper, the new lighting method for the stable ignition regardless of lamp types is designed. And this type of ballast has some useful functions such as surge protection, thermal protection, and dimmable function. Moreover the powerline communication skill is also used to transmit a dimming control signal.

  • This paper proposes a high speed interface using redundant multi-valued logic for high speed communication ICs. This circuit is composed of encoding circuit that serial binary data are received and converted into parallel redundant multi-valued data, and decoding circuit that convert redundant multi-valued data to parallel binary data. Because of the multi-valued data conversion, this circuit makes it possible to achieve higher operating speeds than that of a conventional binary logic. Using this logic, a 1:4 demultiplexer (DEMUX, serial-parallel converter) IC was designed using a 0.35${\mu}m$ standard CMOS Process. Proposed demultiplexer is achieved an operating speed of 3Gb/s with a supply voltage of 3.3V and with power consumption of 48mW. Designed circuit is limited by maximum operating frequency of process. Therefore, this circuit is to achieve CMOS communication ICs with an operating speed greater than 3Gb/s in submicron process of high of operating frequency.

  • This paper describes an offset and 1/f noise cancellation technique based hall sensor signal processor. The hall sensor outputs a hall voltage from the input magnetic field, which direction is orthogonal to hall plate. The two major elements to complete the hall sensor operation are: the one is a hall sensor to generate hall voltage from input magentic field, and the other one is a hall signal process system to cancel the offset and 1/f noise of hall signal. The proposed hall sensor splits the hall signal and unwanted signals(i.e. offset and 1/f noise) using a spinning current biasing technique and chopper stabilizer. The hall signal converted to 100 kHz and unwanted signals stay around DC frequency pass through chopper stabilizer. The unwanted signals are bloked by highpass filter which, 60 kHz cut off freqyency. Therefore only pure hall signal is enter the ADC(analog to dogital converter) for digitalize. The hall signal and unwanted signal at the output of an amplifer and highpass filter, which increase the power level of hall signal and cancel the unwanted signals are -53.9 dBm @ 100 kHz and -101.3 dBm @ 10 kHz. The ADC output of hall sensor signal process system has -5.0 dBm hall signal at 100 kHz frequency and -55.0 dBm unwanted signals at 10 kHz frequency.

  • In this paper, a phase-locked loop with a self-noise suppressing voltage controlled oscillator to improve a phase noise characteristic has been proposed. The magnitude of the proposed transfer function is maximum 25dB lower than that of a conventional transfer function around a bandwidth. The proposed PLL has been designed based on a 1.8V $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process and proved by HSPICE simulation.

  • This paper presents characteristics of piezo transformer for AC-DC converter. This transformer uses transverse vibration mode and the origin of the structure was the ring dot type transformer. Because, the ring dot type transformers produce only step-up phenomenon, we made a multi-layered ring dot structure for a step-down output. The characteristics of the transformer were simulated by using the ANSYS. And frequency and voltage were measured by changing the load resistance and current. Frequencies that have the maximum output voltage and current were gradually increased, when the resistance were increased. Output voltage and current show a stable linearity according to the input voltage. The maximum output power was expected greater than 20 [W]. So, we expect that this type of multi-layered step-down ring dot transformer can be adopted for a small AC adapters.

  • This Paper Proposes instantaneous following control method to control pulse modulation switching converter by using principle that reset time of integrator is inverse proportion in size of integrator input voltage. proposed control method acts of fixed frequency and control switch calculates time of become turn on and turn off using analog integrator. Duty ratio that express switching time of converter is depended on mean value of switching variable and following time consists in one cycle. Follow to do order exactly stationary state as well as transition state, and controller corrects mean value of control variable and control reference value and control as control error gets into zero. Proposed control method could experimented and know that experiment result and theory are agreeing well through this using the buck converter.
