  • 본 연구는 앞서 발표된 '교합이 악구강계 및 전신에 미치는 영향 (I), (II), (III)'에 이어지는 네 번째 논문으로 교합과 악구강계 및 전신 증상과의 관계를 다루고 있는 다섯 가지 주요 이론 중 Myodontics theory 에 관한 내용이다. 이번 논문에서는 Myodontics theory에 대한 기본 개념과 치료방법 및 그 한계에 대하여 정리하였다.

단일 루프 검지기를 이용한 차종 분류 알고리즘 개발 (Development of a Vehicle Classification Algorithm Using an Inductive Loop Detector on a Freeway)

  • This paper presents a heuristic algorithm for classifying vehicles using a single loop detector. The data used for the development of the algorithm are the frequency variation of a vehicle sensored from the circle-shaped loop detectors which are normal buried beneath the expressway. The pre-processing of data is required for the development of the algorithm that actually consists of two parts. One is both normalization of occupancy time and that with frequency variation, the other is finding of an adaptable number of sample size for each vehicle category and calculation of average value of normalized frequencies along with occupancy time that will be stored for comparison. Then, detected values are compared with those stored data to locate the most fitted pattern. After the normalization process, we developed some frameworks for comparison schemes. The fitted scales used were 10 and 15 frames in occupancy time(X-axis) and 10 and 15 frames in frequency variation (Y-axis). A combination of X-Y 10-15 frame turned out to be the most efficient scale of normalization producing 96 percent correct classification rate for six types of vehicle.

  • 선진 외국의 대도시에서는 도시고속도로의 원할한 교통류 흐름을 유지하기 위하여 다양한 교통류 관리기법을 도입.시행하고 있으며, 운영전략의 개발과 교통류 관리기법의 평가를 위한 다양한 모델을 개발.적용하고 있다. 서울시 도시고속도로의 경우에는 외국 도시고속도로의 교통류와 상이한 특성이 많아 기존에 개발된 모델의 적용이 매우 어려운 실정이며, 현재가지 실제교통류 관리를 위한 목적으로 개발되어 적용되는 모델은 없는 실정이다. 따라서 향후 서울시 도시고속도로 교통관리시스템의 효율적인 운영을 위하여 교통류 관리기법을 선정하고, 각 기법별로 교통류 소통상황을 예측할 수 있는 기능을 갖춘 국내 실정에 맞는 도시고속도로 교통류 예측 모델의 개발이 반드시 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 도시고속도로를 대상을 교통류의 현상을 잘 표현하며, 도시고속도로 교통류 관리를 위한 기법의 개발 및 평가가 가능한 시뮬레이션 모델(KUFRE:Korean Urban Freeway Simulation Model)을 개발하는 것이 목적이다.

오르막차선 설치기준 및 운영방안 평가 (Evaluation of Design Standards and Operation Practice of Climbing Lanes)

  • The objective of study is to evaluate design standards related to the allowable truck speeds, taper length and sign requirements together with the operating practices and economic justification for climbing lanes. Field surveys were carried out on seven climbing lanes, three on two-lane and four on four-lane freeways. Data collected are traffic volume, speed, usage rate and delay. It is found that current design criteria for determining the length of climbing lane, taper lengths, and traffic sign requirements must be upgraded. It is also recommended that regulations on the use of climbing lane be established to make it more effective. Further, economic analysis revealed that the climbing lane is economically justified for two-lane and four-lane freeway if the AADT is over 4,577 and 5,116 vehicles respectively.

  • this paper presents the potential application of fuzzy logic to the automatic incident detection system. While the conventional incident detection algorithms are based on a binary decision process, the algorithm using fuzzy logic can incorporate ambiguity which occurs in determining incidents. Since collecting good amount of data to construct data base for incidents is pretty expensive, a traffic simulator called FRESIM is used to simulate traffic condition in a freeway. Incident data are obtained by changing input parameters of the simulator and the fuzzy algorithm generates fuzzy rule for determining normal and incident traffic conditions. In this paper, various steps are described to test the algorithm and its results are summarized.

2차선 유입연결로의 서비스 수준별 가속차선 길이 산정 기준 (Guideline of Acceleration Length by Level of Service for Two Lane Entrance Ramp)

  • The objective of study is to examine relationship between traffic flow characteristics of two lane entrance terminal and acceleration length, and to suggest the acceleration length by level of service. The relationship between the speed ratio and the distance from the ramp appeared to be a quadratic concave from. In the case of two lane entrance ramp, the acceleration length is suggested as 1.4~2.0 times longer than the acceleration length of one lane entrance ramp. It is also recommended that acceleration length for two lane entrance ramp should be designed according to the level of service at the right most lane (level of service A : 1.4 B : 1.6 C : 1.8 D : 2.0 times of the one lane entrance ramp acceleration length) on freeway.

도로위계구조를 고려한 노선배정기법에 관한 연구 (Traffic Assignment Incorporating Route Choice Behavior in Hierachical Highway Structure)

  • Conventional traffic assignment techniques usually do not consider traveler's route choice behavior affected by hierachicla strucfture in urban highway system. This study realizes the route choice behavior such that travelers tend to choose more higher level of highway rather than lower level of highway for longer trops. Otherwise, for shorter trips, travelers tend to choose lower level of highway unless they can get sufficient travel time saving by using mojor arterial street or freeway (higher level of highway). Therefore, this study suggests a traffic assignment technique incorrporating route choice behavior related to hierachical highway structure by introducing some perception costs to generalized cost function such as perceptional preference measureemnt for higher level higheay and perceptional penalty when changing to different level of highway. Through simulation analysis, it is shown that the simulation results with the new traffic assignment echnique can be different a lot from the results with the convential method.

  • Recently, accelerating population and advanced economy result in extending old freeways and constructing new freeways. To make a good freeway shape, tunnel constructions are also rapidly increasing. Therefore, a possibility of a collapse during a tunnel excavation is getting higher in a proportionate manner. This research paper will analyze forms and causes of the collapses for different geological conditions and applied reinforcement solutions by investigating typical collapse sites during highway tunnel constructions.

교통량예측모형의 개발과 평가 (TRAFFIC-FLOW-PREDICTION SYSTEMS BASED ON UPSTREAM TRAFFIC)

  • Network-based model were developed to predict short term future traffic volume based on current traffic, historical average, and upstream traffic. It is presumed that upstream traffic volume can be used to predict the downstream traffic in a specific time period. Three models were developed for traffic flow prediction; a combination of historical average and upstream traffic, a combination of current traffic and upstream traffic, and a combination of all three variables. The three models were evaluated using regression analysis. The third model is found to provide the best prediction for the analyzed data. In order to balance the variables appropriately according to the present traffic condition, a heuristic adaptive weighting system is devised based on the relationships between the beginning period of prediction and the previous periods. The developed models were applied to 15-minute freeway data obtained by regular induction loop detectors. The prediction models were shown to be capable of producing reliable and accurate forecasts under congested traffic condition. The prediction systems perform better in the 15-minute range than in the ranges of 30-to 45-minute. It is also found that the combined models usually produce more consistent forecasts than the historical average.

  • 본 연구에서는 고속도로와 같은 연속 교통류에서의 군집화 현상을 연구함으로서 보다 현실적인 고속도로의 교통류를 반영할 수 있는 방법론을 제시하고 있다. 이와 같은 연구를 통하여 안전성과 신뢰성을 확보하는 고속도로에서의 시스템 구축을 할 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 차량들의 '임의효과'에 의하여 차량군집을 발생되는 과정을 모형화하였으며 본 모형의 검증은 경기도 지역의 '자유로' 지점데이터를 이용하였다.
