팔레놉시스는 다양한 종을 가지고 있고, 강한 향기를 보유하고 있는 종들이 존재한다. 팔레놉시스 원종 중 P. bellina, P. violacea, P. schilleriana 등 소수 계통들은 향을 보유하고 있어 방향성 육종을 위한 재료로 이용된다. 본 연구는 팔레놉시스 방향성 육종을 위한 효율적인 향기 분석 시스템을 확립하고자 팔레놉시스 유전자원 8종류에 대하여 GC-MS와 전자코를 이용하여 향기 분석을 수행하였다. 팔레놉시스 '3010'에 대해서는 화기 조직별 즉 꽃받침, 꽃잎, 주두, 설판으로 나누어 분석하였다. 주된 성분비가 꽃잎과 설판 조직에서 높게 나타났다. P. bellina 계통의 주된 성분은 linalool(21.21%)이었다. 전자코를 이용하여 각 계통간 향기성분의 패턴 분석이 가능하였다. 통계 프로그램에서는 PCA 보다는 DFA 분석이 더 유용하였다. 방향성 육종 시 보유하는 육종 재료들의 주된 향기 구성성분을 알고자 GC-MS를 이용하였다. 본 연구는 향후 난의 방향성 육종을 위한 향기 분석시스템에 유용하게 활용될 것이다.

Among many kinds of odors, some are known to have effects of sedation or stimulation on brain activity. In this study, brain activity levels affected by four kinds of fragrance0lemon, lavender, jasmine, and rose-were tested using EEG recording. In the first experiment, the quality of alpha wave was examined under controlled rest condition. In the second experiment, the event-related potential (ERP) and contingent negative variation (CNV) were investigated during a simple reaction tasks (SRT) against auditory signal. EEG data obtained for the rest condition were analyzed suing "3-Dimensional Viewer)" which was developed by ourselves to show the chaotic attractor of the signal. Power spectrum were also calculated using FET. EEG data obtained during the SRT were analyzed by comparing CNV amplitudes about each odor condition. Results confirmed the sedative effect of the lemon and the lavender, and the stimulative effect of the jasmine and the rose.

It has been common since ancient times to use fashion accessories to make a positive impression on others and develop personal brands. For this manuscript, I've designed a range of personalized electronic sounds and perfume accessories that use personalized scents and sounds to create memorable experiences. These have built-in auditory and olfactory actuators that can generate unique sound and fragrance signatures from the wearer and the other party. Based on the design explorations, I also discussed the issues of design and implementation of personalized electronic sound and fragrance accessories, as well as issues and additional business opportunities for the use of these personalized electronic sound and odor accessories in everyday life.

Methyl anthranilate (MA) is a botanical fragrance used in food flavoring with unexplored potential in anti-pigment cosmetics. MA dose-dependently reduced melanin content without affecting cell viability, inhibited dendrite elongation and melanosome transfer in the co-culture system of human melanoma cells (MNT-1) and human keratinocyte cell line (HaCaT), and downregulated melanogenic genes, including tyrosinase, tyrosinase-related protein 1 and 2 (TRP-1, TRP-2). Additionally, MA decreased cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) production and exhibited a significant anti-pigmentary effect in Melanoderm^TM. These results suggest that MA is a promising anti-pigmentary agent for replacing or complementing existing anti-pigmentary cosmetics.

본 논문은 후각실험에 사용되는 향기에 대한 신뢰성을 검증하기 위한 연구로 MPEG-V(ISO/IEC 23005) 표준을 활용한 후각효과 재현 시스템을 소개한다. 구현된 시스템을 활용하여 실험 참여자들에게 두부장착교시장치(Head Mounted Display: HMD)를 착용시킨 상태에서 향기와 향기객체 이미지의 일대일 매칭, 향기와 다수의 향기객체 이미지 매칭, 그리고 발향장치와 피험자와의 거리별 선호도 분석을 실시하였다. 실험 결과 분석을 통해 후각도구로 커피, 코코아, 바나나, 복숭아 향기를 실험에 적합한 향기로 선정하였다. 매칭 정확도가 높았던 커피 향기의 경우 발향장치와 참여자 사이의 거리가 10~20cm인 경우가 30cm보다 이미지 매칭에 더 효과적이었다. 향후 본 연구를 통해서 선정된 향기를 사용하여, 가상현실 콘텐츠의 몰입감 및 현장감 향상을 위한 후각 연구를 진행할 것이다.

Hydrothermal extraction from dates was done, and then 3 groups of the date extract liquid group (A), the date puree group (B) and the jujube skin flesh group (C) were prepared. And, the omija extract liquid was added to the 3 groups at respective rates of 3:7, 5:5 and 7:3. Then, total 9 medicated diet sources were prepared by adding cinnamon, the ginger extract liquid, honey and pectin. And their physicochenmical and sensory attributes were examined. Total sugar, free sugar and pH increased in the samples of the 3 groups as the addition amount of the jujube extract increased. In chromaticity of respective samples, the "L" value did not show any difference among the 3 groups, but the "a" value was the highest in the "A"group, and "b"value was the highest in the "B"group. In the date puree group and the jujube skin flesh group, their viscosity increased as the addition amount of the jujube extract increased, but in the jujube extract liquid group, no difference was found in its viscosity. As a result of conducting the discrimination test, it was identified that the as the addition amount of the jujube extract was increased, color and sweet taste were feltto be stronger and our taste was felt to be weaker in all 3 groups. In the jujube puree group and the jujube skin flesh group, as the addition amount of the jujube extract increased, the jujube fragrance was felt to be stronger, but in the jujube extract liquid group, no difference was found in its fragrance. And, no difference was found in brightness and viscosity between samples. As a result of conducting the palatability test, no difference was showed in the appearance, but as for the overall palatability including texture, taste and fragrance, preference increased as the addition amount of the jujube extract increased.

달아나는 향기: 방향성 의복의 역사와 보관 그리고 전시 향기는 스타일과 마찬가지로 자주 우리가 보존하였더라면 하는 복식역사의 보이지 않는 한 측면이다. 옷에 향수를 뿌리는 것은 타인에게 좋은 인상을 심어주기 위해서거나 또는 가죽을 무두질하거나 염색하는 과정에서 발생되거나 오랜 사용으로 인해 풍겨져 나오는 역한 냄새를 막기 위해서 활용되었다. 레이스 달린 컬러나 실크 스타킹 및 숄뿐만 아니라 비싼 장갑은 전통적으로 향수를 입혔다. 전통적 기법이든 현대적 기법이든 모두 좀벌레를 막는 것에서 더 나아가 옷을 입은 사람을 즐겁게 하고 이성을 유혹하기 위한 향수를 만들기 위해 시도되었다. 때때로 운이 좋으면 박물관 소장품 중에서 비의도적인 2차적 방향처리된 것도 발견할 수 있다. 박물관 소장품의 유한한 냄새의 정체를 어떻게 밝혀내고 이를 보존하여 대중에게 선사하는데 드는 비용은 얼마인가? 이 강의는 덴마크 로열컬렉션에 전시되어 있는 의복에 남아 있는 역사적인 방향성분의 재현 샘플을 다루고 있다.
