One of most frequently used anesthetic agents is barbiturate derivatives. Pentobarbital or thiopental sodium have been used most frequently in the laboratory or clinical practice. There have been reports on the renal effects of barbiturate anesthesia in human and laboartory animals. Renal effects of thiopental sodium anesthesia, however, are still controversial. One of the discrepancies may be derived from the doses used. It has been reported that subanesthetic small dose of thiopental sodium influences the renal function directly. To clarify possible central effects of very small amounts of thiopental sodium on the renal function, experiments have been done in conscious rabbits. Thiopental sodium was infused into the lateral cerebroventricle for 10 minutes. Intracerebroventricular thiopental sodium induced increased urinary volume, glomerular filtration rate and renal plasma flow by doses of $0.1{\sim}1.0\;mg/10 min/rabbit$. Filtration fractions were not changed. Sodium, chloride and potassium excretions were increased by 0.065 mg/10 min/rabbit of thiopental sodium without significant changes of renal hemodynamics. Higher doses of thiopental sodium $(0.1{\sim}1.0\;mg/10 min/rabbit)$ induced greater increases of electrolytes excretion and renal hemodynamics. Free water clearance was not changed by thiopental sodium, but the fractional excretion of free water showed a tendency of decrease. Fractional excretion of sodium was increased by doses of 0.065 to 1.0 mg of thiopental sodium . Highly significant correlation between the changes of glomerular filtration rate and the changes of sodium excretion were found in the higher doses. Plasma renin concentration (activity) was not changed by the centrally administered thiopental sodium. Intravenous thiopental sodium, 1.0 mg/rabbit, induced no changes of renal function in conscious rabbit. These data suggest that intracerebroyentricular thiopental sodium can increase urinary sodium excretion directly by inhibition of sodium reabsorption in the renal tubules and/or indirectly by increasing the renal hemodynamics.

We experienced the specimen that contains a hemoglobin variant known as interference from HbAS in October 2003. It was the first case of Hb variants since Samsung Medical Center began conducting glycohemoglobin College of American Pathologists surveys in 1997. The purpose of this study is to share our experience with the specimen and promote the understanding of Hb variants & derivatives. We've performed cross checks to examine HbA1c by using two pieces of equipment; the TOSHOH G7 and BIO-RAD VARIANT-T(turbo), and Automatic High Performance Liquid Chromatography(HPLC) as an analytic measurement method. HPLC provides different fractional information of hemoglobin with a two-dimensional graph as well as numeric results. We have been performing a "Systematic Checking Process". Three specimen suspicious of Hb variants & derivatives were found through this process. College of American Pathologists notified that it is important for users to be aware of the limitation of their glycohemoglobin method to avoid reporting incorrect results due to interference from hemoglobin variants or hemoglobin adducts. Therefore, laboratory findings of Hb variants & derivatives are very important. The experience of qualified technicians with professional knowledge in Hb variants is the most important aspect in finding Hb variants. Korea is homogeneous in race and is not in an area with a higher finding rate of Hb variants. While 1,024 cases of Hb variants have been found in Japan, we do not have specific data on how many cases of Hb variants have been found in Korea. Considering Hb variant cases in Japan, which is geographically close to us, it is presumed that there must be various Hb variant cases in Korea. If domestic laboratories set a systemic protocol and build a network to share our experience in Hb variants, I expect the Korean Hb variants could also be listed on the world's Hb variant list.
This paper compares long term equilibrium relation of KOSPI 200 which is underling stock and its futures by using general method fractional cointegration instead of existing integer cointegration. Existence of integer cointegration between two price time series gives much wider information about long term equilibrium relation. These details grasp long term equilibrium relation of two price time series as well as reverting velocity to equilibrium by observing difference coefficient of error term when it renounces from equilibrium relation. The result of this study reveals existence of long term equilibrium relation between KOSPI200 and futures which follow fractional cointegration. Difference coefficient, d, of 'two price time series error term' satisfies 0 < d < 1/2 beside bandwidth parameter, m(173). It means two price time series follow stationary long memory process. This also means impulse effects to balance price of two price time series decrease gently within hyperbolic rate decay. It indicates reverting speed of error term is very low when it bolts from equilibrium. It implies to market maker, who is willing to make excess return with arbitrage trading and hedging risk using underling stock, how invest strategy should be changed. It also insinuates that information transition between KOSPI 200 Index market and futures market does not working efficiently.
In this present work, the authors obtain Fekete-Szeg$\ddot{o}$ inequality for certain normalized analytic function f(z) defined on the open unit disk for which $\frac{(1-{\alpha})z(D^m_{{\lambda},{\mu}}f(z))'+{\alpha}z(D^{m+1}_{{\lambda},{\mu}}f(z))'}{(1-{\alpha})D^m_{{\lambda},{\mu}}f(z)+{\alpha}D^{m+1}_{{\lambda},{\mu}}f(z)}$${\alpha}{\geq}0$) lies in a region starlike with respect to 1 and is symmetric with respect to the real axis. Also certain applications of the main result for a class of functions defined by Hadamard product (or convolution) are given. As a special case of this result, Fekete-Szeg$\ddot{o}$ inequality for a class of functions defined through fractional derivatives is obtained. The motivation of this paper is to generalize the Fekete-Szeg$\ddot{o}$ inequalities obtained by Srivastava et al., Orhan et al. and Shanmugam et al., by making use of the generalized differential operator $D^m_{{\lambda},{\mu}}$.
In this present work, the authors obtain Fekete-Szeg$\ddot{o}$ inequality for certain normalized analytic function $f(z)$ defined on the open unit disk for which $$\frac{{\lambda}{\beta}z^3(L(a,c)f(z))^{{\prime}{\prime}{\prime}}+(2{\lambda}{\beta}+{\lambda}-{\beta})z^2(L(a,c)f(z))^{{\prime}{\prime}}+z(L(a,c)f(z))^{{\prime}}}{{\lambda}{\beta}z^2(L(a,c)f(z))^{{\prime}{\prime}}+({\lambda}-{\beta})z(L(a,c)f(z))^{\prime}+(1-{\lambda}+{\beta})(L(a,c)f(z))}\;(0{\leq}{\beta}{\leq}{\lambda}{\leq}1)$$ lies in a region starlike with respect to 1 and is symmetric with respect to the real axis. Also certain applications of the main result for a class of functions defined by Hadamard product (or convolution) are given. As a special case of this result, Fekete-Szeg$\ddot{o}$ inequality for a class of functions defined through fractional derivatives are obtained.

Numerous problems in science and engineering defined by nonlinear functional equations can be solved by reducing them to an equivalent fixed point problem. Fixed point theory provides essential tools for solving problems arising in various branches of mathematical analysis, such as split feasibility problems, variational inequality problems, nonlinear optimization problems, equilibrium problems, complementarity problems, selection and matching problems, and problems of proving the existence of solution of integral and differential equations. The theory of fixed is known to find its applications in many fields of science and technology. For instance, the whole world has been profoundly impacted by the novel Coronavirus since 2019 and it is imperative to depict the spread of the coronavirus. Panda et al. [24] applied fractional derivatives to improve the 2019-nCoV/SARS-CoV-2 models, and by means of fixed point theory, existence and uniqueness of solutions of the models were proved. For more information on applications of fixed point theory to real life problems, authors should (see [6, 13, 24] and the references contained in).
Renal arterial infusion of renotropic agents has been a very useful technique in the renal function studies. This type of experiments have usually been conducted in the large animals such as dogs and sheep. In these animals a catheter can be placed in the site without much disturbances of renal blood flow. Rabbits as an experimental model, however, caused a disturbances of renal blood flow by a catheterization of renal artery by its properties. Therefore we have developed a new technique that allows a simple and selective access to one side of renal arteries and the other as a control, without any disturbances of renal function. The distance between the both bifurcations of renal arteries on abdominal aorta is about 7 mm. To locate the tip of catheter on one side renal artery, ascending cannulation performed via femoral artery was done. We did an experiment with the technique to clarify the effect of calmodulin inhibitor on the renal function. One of the phenothiazine derivatives, trifluoperazine known as a powerful calmodulin inhibitor. Trifluoperazine, actual dose ranges of $2.76-5.20\;ug\;{\cdot}\;kg^{-1}\;{\cdot}\;min^{-1}$, increased urine volume and glomerular filtration rate significantly. Significant increases in urinary excretion of sodium, chloride and potassium were found. Fractional excretion of sodium and free water clearance increased significantly. These data suggest that this new technique is very useful in field of renal physiology and that striking effect of trifluoperazine on the renal function may be caused by increasing the renal hemodynamics, and by the inhibition of sodium, chloride and potassium reabsorption in the renal tubules.

[99mTc]Tc-Hexamethylpropylene amine oxime (HMPAO) is currently used as a regional cerebral blood flow imaging agent for single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). The HMPAO ligand exists in two isomeric forms: d,l and meso showing different properties in vivo. Later studies indicated that brain uptake patterns of 99mTc-complexes formed from separated enantiomers differed. Separation of enantiomers is difficult by fractional crystallizations method. Usually, the substance is obtained in low chemical yield in a time-consuming procedure. Furthermore, the final product still contains some impurity. So we have developed new efficient route for synthesis of R,R- and S,S-HMPAO enantiomeric compounds in 6-steps. Nucleophilic substitution (SN2) reactions of 2,2-dimethylpropane-1,3-diamine either with S- (1a) or R-methyl2-chloropropanoate (1b) were performed to produce compounds R,R- (2a) or S,S-isomer (2b) derivatives protected with benzylchloroformate (Cbz), respectively. And then Weinreb amide and methylation reaction using Grignard reagent, oxime formation with ketone group and deprotectiion of Cbz group by hydrogenolysis gave S,S- (7a) or R,R-HMPAO (7b), respectively. Entaniomeric compounds were synthesied with high yield and purity without any undesired product. The 7a or 7b kits containing 10 ㎍ SnCl2-2H2O were labeled with 99mTc with high radiolabeling yield (90%).
