This study was executed to find out the succession stage and the ecological niche of Lindera erythrocarpa Markino. Four sites were selected by field investigation. They are Jeondungsa and Jeongsusa of Kanghwa Island, Mt. Suri of Anyang and Mt. Gaya of Chungcheongnamdo. They located in the region which have the similar temperature with Seoul region or lower average temperature for winter than that of adjacent Seoul. In the four sites, L, erythrocarpa was appeard in canopy layer at L. erythrocarpa community in Jeondungsa, L. erythrocarpa-Q. serrata, Z. serrata-L. erythrocarpa community in Jeongsusa, Castanea crenata-L, erythrocarpa community, L. erythrocarpa-Q. serrata community in Mt. Gaya and in the rest of the sites, it lives in subtree and shrub layer. And in the four sites but Jeongsusa area, it correspond with Chang(1991)'s study that L. erythrocarpa is dominant species in the site impacted by human. L. erythrocarpa lives with Quercus spp. such as Q. serrata, Q. variabilis, Q. mongolica and Carpinus laxiflora but it's presumably a passing phenomena.
JAEA started the LSTF experiments in 1985 for the fourth stage of the ROSA Program (ROSA-IV) for the LWR thermal-hydraulic safety research to identify and investigate the thermal-hydraulic phenomena and to confirm the effectiveness of ECCS during small-break LOCAs and operational transients. The LSTF experiments are underway for the ROSA-V Program and the OECD/NEA ROSA Project that intends to resolve issues in thermal-hydraulic analyses relevant to LWR safety. Six types of the LSTF experiments have been done for both the system integral and separate-effect experiments among international members from 14 countries. Results of four experiments for the ROSA Project are briefly presented with analysis by a best-estimate (BE) code and a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code to illustrate the capability of the LSTF and codes to simulate the thermal-hydraulic phenomena that may appear during SBLOCAs and transients. The thermal-hydraulic phenomena dealt with are coolant mixing and temperature stratification, water hammer up to high system pressure, natural circulation under high core power condition, and non-condensable gas effect during asymmetric SG depressurization as an AM action.
A numerical study based on the three-dimensional Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations is presented to analyze the transonic flowfield through two-stage axial compressor. Explicit four-step Runge-Kutta scheme is used for solution algorithm, and local time step and implicit residual averaging are introduced for enhancing the convergency. Artificial dissipation model is adopted to assure the stability of solution. The solver is coupled with Baldwin-Lomax model to describe turbulence. To avoid calculating the unsteady flow, a mixing process is modeled at a station between rotating and stationary blade rows. Results show a variety of important physical phenomena. Comparison of the flowfields with and without tip clearance shows that the effect is considerable in this flowfield. Comparisons with experimental data carried out to validate the calculational results show reasonable agreements. Some remedies are also suggested to improve the revealed problems.
A numerical study based on the three-dimensional thin-layer Navier-Stokes solver is carried out to analyze the flowfield through a single stage transonic compressor. Explicit four-step Runge-Kutta scheme with spatially variable time step and implicit residual smoothing is used. The governing equations are discretized with exploit finite difference method. Mixed-out average method is used at the interface between rotor and stator. And, an artificial dissipation model is used to assure the stability of solution. The results with k-$\omega$ turbulence model were compared to the results with Baldwin-Lomax model, and physical phenomena of transonic compressor are presented. The two turbulence models give the results that show reasonably good agreements with experimental data.
In this study, an experiment in the field was performed to analyze the influence of steel fiber and silica fume on the rebound ratios of shotcrete. The experimental parameters which are the reinforcing methods(steel fiber, wire mesh), steel fiber contents(0.0%, 0.5%. 0.75%, 1.0%), silica fume contents(0.0%, 10.0%), and the three placing parts(side wall, shoulder, crown) were chosun. According to the results for the side wall in this test, the larger the fiber contents are in case of steel fiber reinforced shotcrete, the less the rebound ratios are within the range of 20~35%, compared to the wire mesh reinforced shotcrte. And also, the reduced rebound ratios were vary larger in using steel fiber reinforced shotcrete with silica fume content of 10%, and these results are true of the shoulder and the crown, respectively. In addition, the four-stage phenomenon for the rebound of the SFRS were estimated in the view of the co-action between steel fiber and coarse aggregate based upon the existing two-stage analysis method.

In this study, an experiment in the field was performed to analyze the variations of rebound ratios of SFRS with silica fume after fabricating the panels and placing the plain concrete of simulting a base rock with thickness 7cm. And the experimental parameters which are the reinforcing methods(steel fiber, wire mesh), steel fiber contents(0.0%, 0.5%, 0.75%, 1.0%), silica fume contents(0.0%, 10.0%), and the three parts(lower, middle, upper part) were chosen. According to the results of the lower part in this test, the larger the fiber contents are in case of steel fiber reinforced shotcrete, the less the rebound ratios are within the range of 20~35%, compared to the wire-mesh reinforced shotcrete with silica fume content of 10%, and these results are true of the middle and upper part, respectively. In addition, the four-stage phenomena of the rebound of SFRS were estimated on the base of a series of the test results.
To better understand the phenomena inside an absorber, where heat and mass transfer coexist, this study selected the most baslc absorption model from in whifh water vapor is absorbed on the surface of a stationary lithium bromide absurbent solution. The purpose of this study is to obtain basic knowledge of heat and mass transfer processes as affected by Marangoni convection induced by addition of surfactant. We apply a non-flowing bulk absorption model and assume that dropwise surfactant is fixed on the absorbent surface. Four governing equation-continuity, laminar monentum, energy and diffusion are solved numerically to obtain temperature and concentraion distributions during steam absorption with Marangonl convection.. In conclusion, Sh and Nu genrally increase at the initial absorption stage.

Calculation of wear depth with regard to the wear topology is peformed numerically Four typical wear topology, that is round, crescent, flat, and diamond types are adopted to represent the configuration of wear volume. Diamond and flat types are the most severe topology for wear depth history, whereas round and crescent types have small increasing rate of wear depth to the wear volume. Based on this study we can guess that the most severe wear phenomena happens to be upper side of U-tubes in the KSNP SG, because flat or diamond wear will be generated by the wearing motion between tubes and diagonal, vertical, horizontal strips. The misalignment of tube at the stage of manufacturing or distortion of upper structure due to the thermal expansion or vibration of upper structure such as diagonal, vertical, and horizontal strips will be one of the main causes of flat or diamond wear.
This study is about the periodic characteristics of Wonsam in the Joseon Dynasty. Wonsam include the Danryeong-shaped Wonsam in the beginning, the compound Wonsam in a period of transition and the stereotyped Wonsam in the late Joseon Dynasty. The formative characteristics of Wonsam are divided into four stages. The first stage of the Wonsam is from the 15th to 16th century. The shape of Wonsam began to form and it was similar to one of Danryeong during this time. The formative characteristics of the first Wonsam included collars that looked like one of Danryeong, side pleats(called Moo) with multiple inner folds, straight cylinder-shaped sleeves, and a belt tied with the Wonsam. There were various fabrics that were used for the Wonsam from this stage. Second stage of the Wonsam is from the early 17th to mid 17th century. This period marked the beginning of the transition of the Wonsam and it served as a stepping-stone to the development stage in the Joseon Dynasty. The characteristics of the transitional Wonsam were a complex combination of the Danryeong and Wonsam. During this period, the Wonsam went through many changes and forms in a short period of time. Third stage of the Wonsam is from the mid 17th to early 19th century. The Wonsam was developed at this stage. The developed Wonsam went through a period of transition equipped with a stable form. The formative characteristics of Wonsam during this period included collars that faced each other, big and wide sleeves with multicolored stripes, Hansam, curve-edged side seam and the side pleats(Moo) with multiple inner folds had disappeared. It was a turning point from the single-layered clothes to double layered clothes and from dark blue to green color appeared at this time. The fabric patterns of this stage tended to consist of more simplified silk pattern. The fourth stage of the Wonsam is from the late 19th to 20th century. The Wonsam was expanded at this stage. The formative characteristics and fabrics were typically used for the standard Wonsam and were divided into two types; as a ceremonial robe used in courts and a wedding ceremonial robe for the common people. Phenomena such as sewing of double-layered clothes as one and straight-edged side seam during the late Joseon period developed into simpler and more practical fashion culture.
We present the results of simultaneous monitoring observations of $H_2O$$6_{1,6}-5_{2,3}$ (22GHz) and SiO J=1-0, 2-1, 3-2 maser lines (43, 86, 129GHz) toward five post-AGB (candidate) stars, using the 21-m single-dish telescopes of the Korean VLBI Network. Depending on the target objects, 7 - 11 epochs of data were obtained. We detected both $H_2O$ and SiO maser lines from four sources: OH16.1-0.3, OH38.10-0.13, OH65.5+1.3, and IRAS 19312+1950. We could not detect $H_2O$ maser emission toward OH13.1+5.1 between the late OH/IR and post-AGB stage. The detected $H_2O$ masers show typical double-peaked line profiles. The SiO masers from four sources, except IRAS 19312+1950, show the peaks around the stellar velocity as a single peak, whereas the SiO masers from IRAS 19312+1950 occur above the red peak of the $H_2O$ maser. We analyzed the properties of detected maser lines, and investigated their evolutionary state through comparison with the full widths at zero power. The distribution of observed target sources was also investigated in the IRAS two-color diagram in relation with the evolutionary stage of post-AGB stars. From our analyses, the evolutionary sequence of observed sources is suggested as OH65.5+1.3${\rightarrow}$OH13.1+5.1${\rightarrow}$OH16.1-0.3${\rightarrow}$OH38.10-0.13, except for IRAS 19312+1950. In addition, OH13.1+5.1 from which the $H_2O$ maser has not been detected is suggested to be on the gateway toward the post-AGB stage. With respect to the enigmatic object, IRAS 19312+1950, we could not clearly figure out its nature. To properly explain the unusual phenomena of SiO and $H_2O$ masers, it is essential to establish the relative locations and spatial distributions of two masers using VLBI technique. We also include the $1.2-160{\mu}m$ spectral energy distribution using photometric data from the following surveys: 2MASS, WISE, MSX, IRAS, and AKARI (IRC and FIS). In addition, from the IRAS LRS spectra, we found that the depth of silicate absorption features shows significant variations depending on the evolutionary sequence, associated with the termination of AGB phase mass-loss.
