New address electrode having separated dual electrode is suggested to reduce addressing time in ac PDP. Addressing characteristics of suggested electrode has been investigated in the test panel with high Xe partial pressure. It has been found that both the formative and jitter width of the suggested electrode is improved by 10 -20 % over the wide range of address voltage level compared with the conventional one. The dynamic margin of the panel also greatly improved. The key feature behind this type of structure is that it can extend the controllability of the wall charge distribution during the reset and address discharge without significant increase in capacitive load of address electrode.

The purpose of this study is to examine a distinctive feature and meaning of Reggae fashion and to establish a form of design on the basis of the Reggae style appeared in the 1990s. For the study, we review a formative background and stream of the Reggae fashion. And then, characteristics of the Reggae fashion is clarified through analyzing street fashion and High-fashion. The result of the analysis demonstrates that the Reggae fashion as a general term of the fashion style is connected to the Reggae musci emerged from Such socio-cultural changes as the tendency of the anti-fashion , the influence of the Afro-fashion , and the popularity of the Reggae music. The reggae fashion has been altered in terms of its style with the lapse of time-Rastafaran style, Raggnuffins and Bhangra style, Hip-hop Reggae style. The Reggae fashion emerged in the 1990s falls into three styles ; Afro-Reggae style, Feminine Reggae style, and Sporty Reggae style. The above mentioned results demonstrate that the design of Reggae fashion targets fro a youth in one's early 20s following a tendency in the 1990s and the 2000s. The design concept represents Romantic Reggae.

In this paper, new address electrode having separated dual electrodes is suggested to reduce addressing time in ac PDP. It had been found that both the formative and jitter width of the suggested electrode are improved by $10{\sim}20$ % compared with the conventional one on IMID 04'. So we experiment other several kinds of the separated electrodes, and the change in discharge characteristics is analyzed by using a two-dimensional fluid simulation. The key feature of the suggested structure is that the distribution of Xe and Ne ion is controllable during the address periods without significant increases in the capacitive load of the address electrodes.

본 연구에서는 웹사이트 인터페이스의 여러 디자인 문제 가운데 사용자의 감성적·심미적 만족을 주요 목표로 하는 스타일의 역할을 이해하고 다양한 시각 요소에 기초한 분석적 접근 방법을 제시하였다. 스타일은 정서, 문화적 동질감 및 메시지를 즉각적으로 드러나게 하는 맥락을 제공하며 재미와 몰입감을 주는 역할을 한다. 이는 웹사이트 인터페이스 디자인의 우선적 디자인 목표라 할 수 있는 인지적 측면의 디자인 원리에 따른 기능성과 동시에 각종 시각 요소들을 통해 구현해야 할 주요 디자인 특질이라고 할 수 있다. 웹사이트 인터페이스의 시각요소를 파악하기 위해 내용의 구조에 따른 구성 측면, 심볼 시스템에 관한 매체 측면 및 조형적 측면의 여러 다른 차원으로 구분하였다. 여기서 도출된 시각 요소들에 기초하여 스타일 형성의 요인들을 분석하였다. '소프트-하드(Soft-Hard)', '따뜻한-차가운(Warm-Cool)'을 각 축으로 하는 이미지맵의 반대편에 위치하는 몇 개의 사이트를 선정한 후, 구성적 측면의 요소들에 대한 조형적 특성과 아이디어를 전달하는 시각적 전달방식에 따른 정서적 효과를 파악하였다. 웹사이트 스타일에 대한 이 같은 분석적 접근 방법의 이해는 디자인 계획시 디자인 문제의 체계적 이해와 다양한 해결안 도출에 활용될 수 있으며, 화면디자인을 위한 구체적 가이드라인을 마련하기 위한 토대가 될 수 있다.

본 연구는 전통공예기술인 짜임을 현대 가구디자인에 활용하기 위해 조형적인 분석을 통해 사용자가 쉽게 접할 수 있도록 체계적으로 정리하여 보급하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 정리된 짜임의 분석 자료를 토대로 가구를 제작하는 데 쉽게 적용할 수 있도록 하기 위해 기본적으로 짜임을 이용한 가구로 생성될 수 있는 형태를 조사한 결과, 판재+판재의 결합으로 이루어진 가구, 판재+각재 2축의 결합으로 이루어진 가구, 판재+각재 3축의 결합으로 이루어진 가구로 나누어 볼 수 있었다. 그리고 가구의 위치에 따라 사용되는 짜임을 파악하기 위한 분석으로 가구의 상부에 주로 사용되는 짜임의 종류와 가구의 중앙부에 사용되는 짜임, 가구의 하부에 주로 사용되는 짜임으로 분류하여 각각의 짜임을 분석하여 정리하였다. 이와 같이 짜임은 그 사용되는 위치나 가구의 형태에 따라 그 구조를 이루는데 필요한 짜임이 다르다. 그래서 일반인들이 처음 짜임을 접할 때는 어떤 짜임이 어디에 사용되어야 되는지 파악하기가 힘들다. 따라서 본 연구에서 가구의 조형분석을 통해 가구의 형태별, 가구의 위치별로 적용할 수 있는 짜임을 분석하여 정리함으로써 장인이 아닌 일반인들에게 대중적으로 짜임의 활용도를 높일 수 있는 계기가 될 것이다.

This study examined the production technique of bracket murals in Daeungjeon Hall, Gaeamsa Temple by conducting a analysis of their wall structure, material characteristics, and painting layers. Wall was a single-branch structure with support layer, middle layer, finishing layer, and painting layer. The support layer, middle layer and finishing layer, were produced by mixing sand (quartz, feldspars etc.), and loess. The ratio of above medium sand to below fine sand was approximately 0.7 : 9.3 in the support layer, 4 : 6 in the middle layer and 6 : 4 in the finishing layer, which had a more percentage of above medium sand than the support layer. The analysis of the painting layer showed that natural soil pigment was used to establish a relatively ground layer of up to 50 ㎛, and pigments such as Lead sulfate, atacamite and mercury sulfide were painted on top of the layer. This study's results confirmed that the bracket mural paintings in Gaeamsa Temple are within the category of the production style of murals during the Joseon period. However, the points that the middle layer was formed several times, the significant difference in particle size distribution between the wall, and the absence of chopped straw in the support layer are a feature of bracket mural paintings in Gaeamsa Temple. These properties of murals as material and structure may be viewed for correlation with the degree of damage to wall structure of mural painting and would serve as an important reference to diagnosis the conservation conditions of murals or prepare conservation treatments.

미디어의 발전과 함께 시각표현은 정지화면에서 동영상으로 그 영역이 확대되었다. 애니메이션 영화, TV CM, GUI 등과 같은 분야는 프레임이 누적된 가현운동 현상이 나타나면서 쇼트, 씬과 같은 단위 구조가 만들어지므로 정지화면에 비해 움직임이 필연적인 조형요소가 된다. 따라서 형태, 색채, 공간, 크기, 움직임과 같은 조형요소 중에서 움직임은 특히 중요한 요소로 부각된다고 볼 수 있다. 소쉬르(Saussure)가 설명한 기표와 기의의 관계처럼 이미지의 표현과 형식은 그 내용과 서로 제약을 주는 반면 상호 보완에 의해 하나의 기호로서 수용된다. 이는 움직임 역시 그 형식적 특성이 메시지가 담고 있는 내용에 어떠한 관여를 할 것이라는 추론을 가능하게 한다. 이를 분석하기 전 먼저 게슈탈트이론 중 '그룹핑의 원리'를 이론적 근거로 하여 동영상 시지각 실험을 실시하여 움직임과 타 조형요소의 관계를 조사하였다. 그 결과 약 70-80%의 피실험자가 '움직임'을 지각 상 중요한 그룹핑 단서로 생각하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 형식적 특성을 토대로 동영상의 구조를 분석했을 때 움직임은 커뮤니케이션 과정에서 메시지의 의미의 맥락을 유지하는데 영향을 준다. 사람이나 사물, 배경의 형태와 색 등이 변하더라도 움직임이 유사한 지향점을 가지면 그 대상의 정체성은 유지될 수 있다. 둘째, 움직임에 의해 형상(figure)으로서 대상이 부각되므로 내용의 명료성을 높여준다. 셋째 추후 정보처리에 있어서 유사한 움직임의 진행을 예측할 수 있는 지식표상으로 작용하게 된다. 넷째, 교차편집과 같이 둘 이상의 씬이 빠르게 전환되고 복잡한 편집구조를 가지더라도 움직임이 내용에 일관성을 부여하는 성격을 갖는다. 움직임은 기본적인 시지각적 반응으로서 입력되는 시각정보를 그룹화시키는 하나의 단서가 된다. 또한 영상 메시지의 구조적인 틀을 형성하는데 관계하여 자칫 현란하고 남용될 수 있는 시각적 표현에 질서를 부여하고 의미 작용에 명료함을 높이는 효율성을 가진다. 동영상은 본질적으로 시간성을 내포하므로 다수의 단위 구조가 조합된 담화를 가지며, 미디어믹스 환경에 의해 공통적이면서도 차별화된 표현이 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 게슈탈트 이론의 그룹핑 원리를 동영상 범주로 확대하여 적용해 봄으로써 움직임이 다른 조형요소보다 부각되는 속성이 됨과 의미구조 형성에 영향을 줌을 분석하였으며, 이는 미디어 특성에 따라 각 영상분야에서 구조적 조형미와 새로운 영상표현을 개발하는 관점이 될 수 있음을 제안한다.

Louis 1. Kahn was a wise architect who learned from history. He developed his own unique architecture by combining his creative sense with design principles and vocabularies that can be found in historical architecture. When restricting a space, he surrounded the space with thick walls as it had been done in historical buildings. The interior space encompassed by this method became a center-oriented and stable space. The objective of this study is to find the characteristics of Kahn's interior spaces by analyzing his projects in terms of space, form, daylight and materials. For this purpose, five works that are considered to have significance from the aspect of interior design were selected and analyzed. The characteristics realized through this study are as follows. A) Spatial features: 1) Generally speaking, each required space has been arranged symmetrically. 2) Being clearly defined as the main space, the subsidiary space, or the service space, each space also was placed very functionally. 3) The space encompassed by thick walls became a center-oriented, stable space. And in most case, it was characterized as a dark space. B) Formative features: 4) The space was defined as a basic solid such as a cylinder, a hexahedron, and an octagonal box, and was developed into a complex shape by the recessed windows. 5) Historical vocabularies such as an arch, a vault, and a dome were reinterpreted in new ways by kahn's own eyes. 6) Haying diverse shapes, the skylights enrich the space in terms of form. C) Daylight feature: 7) The vertical light entering through the skylights creates a solemn and mysterious atmosphere. 8) Given the shadows from the windows that change according to time, the interior space becomes a very vivid space. D) Material feature: 9) Harmonized with cold and smooth materials such as exposed concrete, metal, and glass, the interior space provides a modern atmosphere. 10) Warm appearing wood was used for furniture and part of walls or floors. The effective use of wood takes on a role that is quite complementary to the cold ambience of the smooth and cold materials. 11) With flexibility In building shapes, the concrete becomes the form-endowing materials.

The ethnic image in modern fashion can be interpreted as a trend of post-modernism, which appeared after modernism's established style. It has relativity, pluralism and variety, and it tries to revive style of the past. This makes style that borrows and combines image and style of different era and culture as distinctive feature, and in turn is expressed by a new image that is combined with the country's clothes. Also, thanks to the customers who are tired of artificiality and convenience, gift of modern science and technology, simple and natural sensitive marketing and being 'raw' are getting popular as new trend. Today's ethnic image is not merely borrowing visual, superficial image of culture and clothes of other ethnic group, but pursuing natural as purely created by human senses rather than being polished. In terms of ethnic image's formative beauty and aesthetic value, foreign and domestic collections are compared. But for domestic image, only Korean ones are researched, and for foreign designer's fashion image, there are ethnic styles of Japan, China and Korea. Although the documents of domestic designers that I investigated is not sufficient, canonic simple being of oriental image that is seen by the westerners is summarized.

This study for‘Head Image’, which is affected by individual Image, is via fashion collection to analyze formative feature, fashion emotion and meaning structure of emotion and to inquire into correlation. I will offer fundamental data, which is can use Image making from the state of thing. First, to make charm and personal image, if we consider Head image well, it will very effective by the reason that personality and charm operate as important factors in fashion sensibility of Head Image. Second, we can know Head Image has more strong influence the part of emotion than fashion sensibility by showing that the sense of emotion is higher than this point of view of fashion sensibility in Head Image. Third, As a result of the correlation of fashion sensibility and emotion in Head Image, personal Head Image is effective to attract public gaze by causing negative emotion, and attractive Head Image is effective to give pleasant feeling by causing positive emotion. Forth, Avant-garde, Punk, Kitsch Image were estimated as the most personal things and Romantic, Ethnic Image were estimated as the most attractive things of the type of Head Image. Natural Image was estimated as the most feminine thing, and Elegant Image was estimated as the most mature thing. Fifth, when we look into the different appraisals between experts and amateurs about fashion sensibility and emotion of Head Image, a selection of experts are used to peculiar and strong Head Image, so amateurs respond it more sensitively and highly evaluate.
