바이오디젤의 산화 안정성 특성에 관한 고찰 (Review on the oxidation stability of biodiesel)

  • 바이오디젤은 동물성 유지, 식물성 유지와 그 부산물 등의 원료를 사용하여 지방산 메틸에스테르 형태로 제조된 연료이며, 석유계 에너지를 대체할 수 있는 바이오연료로 각광받고 있다. 그러나 바이오디젤은 저장 및 유통 과정에서 불포화 지방산 메틸에스테르가 산화되면서 연료의 품질이 저하되거나 자동차 엔진부품을 부식시키는 등의 문제를 일으킨다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 바이오디젤의 품질과 산화 특성이 산화 안정성에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 이와 관련된 평가 방법에 대해 기술하였다. 또한 바이오디젤의 산화 안정성 단점을 개선할 수 있는 방안을 고찰하였다.

  • Purpose: We consider export of Korea for Muslim population of Cairo residents in Egypt. Product instant cup noodle and yuzu tea are mainly focused on Kano model and Timko's customer satisfaction factor (CS - Coefficient) analysis and conjoint analysis. Methods: Based on the evaluation and conjoint analysis, cluster analysis was additionally applied to further exploratory research as to what kind of population the target customer has. A total of 120 people, each 60 people each, were prosecuted for Muslim women, middle middle class who had over 3,000 Korean won annual income for that study, and in Cairo in August 18. Results: The Kano analysis result Instant cup noodles act as attractive elements for packaging state, cooking method, smell and convenience, and Yuzu tea acted as an attractive element of taste, eating method, raw materials, efficacy, packaging form. Customer satisfaction factor, instant cup noodles, capacity and noodle thickness was a factor of indifference in Kano analysis, but acted as an attractive factor, the way to eat citron tea was classified as a factor of indifference. Conclusion: In the case of instant cup noodles, we first set up the taste of chicken-based soup with high appreciation as a whole, a group that likes chicken-based soup taste and oil noodles for each market segment, a taste of beef based soup And popular group that likes raw noodles Appears that diversification is necessary, and it has been found that it is necessary to develop a product type by hierarchy and marketing with different size priority from group packaging container. In the case of Yuzu tea, it is indispensable to emphasize the efficacy, in particular, energy recovery preference appears high, appealing point matching the needs of energy recovery is necessary, release the citrus fruit as a product without buckwheat in Bisson Ho, the packaging container, The group that likes cups and sticks is different and we found that it is necessary to prepare all two types.

  • 현재 우리 산업의 가속화된 발전으로 인해 다양하고 많은 양의 오염이 만들어지기 시작하고 있다. 특히 폐수의 경우 석유, 금속 및 유기물로 오염되는 강과 바다가 늘고 있으며, 빠른 조치가 필요해 보인다. 이러한 오염에 대응하기 위해 폐수에서 분리막을 이용한 깨끗한 물의 여과가 비용적으로 유리하고 친환경적인 기술로 떠오르고 있다. 재생 자원으로 만들어진 막여과 기법들이 환경오염의 원인 중 하나인 합성고분자 분리막들을 대체하기 위해 많이 사용되고 있다. 박테리아 셀룰로오스(Bacterial Cellulose / BC)는 순수하고 뚜렷한 형태의 셀룰로오스 나노섬유(Cellulose nanofibrils / CNF)이다. CNF에서 제조된 나노페이퍼는 각기 다른 용도로 한외여과막과 나노여과막으로 사용된다. BC의 높은 결정성으로 인해 폐수 처리 막의 필수 기준인 우수한 기계적 성질을 가질 수 있다. 본 리뷰 논문에서는 염료, 오일 및 중금속 등 폐수의 오염물질들을 걸러내기 위해 사용될 수 있는 BC 기반 분리막들에 대해 논의한다.

  • The emission gas from meat grilled restaurants has unpleasant odor and sticky particulate matters (PM) in form of oil mist. This affects the residents living nearby. In oder to decrease the odor and PM, electrostatic precipitators (ESP) were installed at several restaurants by support of Seoul metropolitan government and emission characteristics of PM and odor were investigated. The removal efficiency of odor and PM at before- and after-ESP was that total hydrocarbon (THC), NH3, H2S, acetaldehyde, butyraldehyde were not much decreased. Total suspended particles (TSP) emitted from the vent was below the value of 7 mg/m3 regardless of the concentration of before-ESP and removal efficiency was in the range of 64 ~ 86%. The ratio of PM1.0 to PM10 of emission gas was over 0.9. So it was revealed that most PM of emission gas was PM1.0. The PM concentration in the air of the street near the vent was higher than another street due to the emission gas and the PM of indoor air of restaurant grilling meats was measured very high compared to outdoor air. So it needs more powerful ventilation of indoor air.

Numerical studies on flow-induced motions of a semi-submersible with three circular columns

  • The semi-submersible with three circular columns is an original concept of efficient multifunctional platform, which can be used for marginal oil, gas field, and Floater of Wind Turbines (FOWT). However, under certain flow conditions, especially in uniform current with specific velocities, the eddies will alternatively form and drop behind columns, resulting in the fluctuating lift force and drag force. Consequently, the semi-submersible will subject to the Flow-Induced Motions (FIM). Based on the Detached Eddy Simulation (DES) method, the numerical studies were carried out to understand the FIM characteristics of the three-column semi-submersible at two different parameters, i.e., current incidences (0°, 30°, and 60°-incidences) and reduced velocities (4 ≤ Ur ≤ 14). The results indicate that the lock-in range of 6 ≤ Ur ≤ 10 for the transverse motions is presented, and the largest transverse non-dimensional nominal amplitude is observed at 60°-incidence, with a value of Ay/D = 0:481. The largest yaw amplitude Ayaw is around 3.0° at 0°-incidence in the range of 8 ≤ Ur ≤ 12. The motion magnitude is basically the same as that of a four-column semi-submersible. However, smaller responses are presented compared to those of the three-column systems revealing the mitigation effect of the pontoon on FIM.

화학적 처리방법에 의한 변성전분의 이화학적 특성 (The Physico-Chemical Characteristics of Modified Starch Made by Chemical Treatment)

  • Developing carbohydrate fat replacer as materials for low-calorie and low-fat food made of Korean potato, it is expected that the new demand of fat replacer will be created. Potato starch was modified by chemical modification. Observing modified starch(treated in different method) by SEM, EZ(treated by enzyme) showed shape of deformed round oval, AC(treated by acetylation,), HPR(treated by hydropropylation) showed shape similar to that of NL(N-Lite), the commercial fat replacer. In the modified starch such as AC, peak in B and C type similar to those of general starch was found, but EZ showed non-crystalline shape. Compared to other modified starch, HPR, the chemically produced denatured starch showed very peculiar peak and structure in V-form. While the order of contents of amylopectin was in the order HPR > EZ > AC showed extremely high contents. Measuring the degree of gelatinization per the modified method, the degree of gelatinization of HPR as much higher than others. The water binding activity of modified starch was 240% in HPR. Measuring viscosity by producing general starch and modified starch as gel of 10% concentration, the CPS showed very high viscosity of 30.30 ${\times}$ 10$^3$ cp. Showing viscosity of 38.60, 31.60 10$^3$ ${\times}$ cp, the modified starch was in the order of HPR. While the calorie of starch of GPS was measured to be 3.0 Kcal/g, very low calorie those of chemically modified starch, HPR showed 2.5 Kcal/g respectively, suggesting that calorie is decreased by modified treatment. The appropriateness of processing food was experimented by substituting the existing oil and fat containing food with saturated gel of starch and modified starch in constant rate through utilization of modified starch. Therefore, research and development for materials and related products which maintain the existing quality and reduce fat contents will be constantly performed in the future.

수크로스 에스터와 세라마이드를 혼합 겔레이터로 사용한 올레오겔과 올레오겔 에멀젼의 특성 분석 (Characterization of Oleogels and Oleogel Emulsions Made with Sucrose Ester and Ceramide as Mixed Gelators)

  • 수크로스 에스터와 세라마이드를 혼합하여 겔레이터로 사용한 해바라기 오일의 올레오겔과 올레오겔 에멀전을 제조하였다. 올레오겔과 올레오겔 에멀젼 제형 내에서 겔레이터의 결정 구조는 편광현미경으로 관찰하고 물의 분산형태는 공초점 현미경으로 확인하였다. DSC 열차트 분석을 통해, 수크로스 에스터와 세라마이드를 혼합하면 세라마이드의 결정구조는 사라지고 제형에 물이 첨가되면 혼합된 겔레이터의 결정성이 더욱 상승함을 확인하였다. 제형에서의 수크로스 에스터, 세라마이드, 물의 비율에 따른 점도와 점탄성 등의 유변학적 특성의 변화를 살펴보았다. 세라마이드와 물의 함량이 증가할수록 점도 및 저장탄성률, 손실 탄성률 등이 모두 증가하고, 또한 제형의 안정성도 높아지는 경향을 보였다.

유탕 과자 모델에서 결합형 3-monochloropropane-1,2-diol 생성에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors affecting the formation of bound 3-monochloropropane-1,2-diol in a fried snack model)

  • 본 연구에서는 유탕 과자 모델에서 4가지 요인(유화제 종류, 유탕 온도, 소금 함량, 유지 함량)이 결합형 3-MCPD의 생성에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보았다. 먼저 3-MCPD 분석법 검증을 위해 검출한계, 정량한계, 직선성, 정밀성 및 정확성을 구하였고, 분석 시 흡착 컬럼으로 사용한 aluminum oxide와 Extrelut® NT-3 컬럼을 비교하였다. Aluminum oxide에 비해 Extrelut® NT-3 컬럼으로 추출하였을 때 피크 면적이 약 5배 더 높아, 흡착 컬럼으로 Extrelut® NT-3를 사용하는 방법이 3-MCPD 분석에 더 적합할 것으로 생각되었다. 직선성은 3-MCPD 표준용액 검량선의 상관계수가 0.9997 이상의 양호한 직선성을 보였다. 기기의 검출한계는 0.86 ng/mL, 정량 한계는 2.61 ng/mL이었다. 분석법의 정밀성 및 정확성은 과자 반죽을 이용하여 비교하였다. 3-MCPD 분석법의 일내 정확성은 81.3-94.0%, 일간 정확성은 82.1-89.0% 수준이었으며, 결합형 3-MCPD 분석법의 일내 정확성은 84.1-99.3%, 일간 정확성은 87.7-91.1% 수준이었다. 3-MCPD 분석법의 일내 정밀성은 1.5-7.8% RSD, 일간 정밀성은 1.1-5.6% RSD 수준이었으며, 결합형 3-MCPD 분석법의 일내 정밀성은 2.8-8.9% RSD, 일간 정밀성은 5.0-6.8% RSD 수준이었다. 유탕 과자 모델에서 유화제 종류는 결합형 3-MCPD 생성에 영향을 주어 유화제 6종 중 글리세린지방산에스테르를 첨가한 시료에서 가장 많은 결합형 3-MCPD가 검출되었다. 유탕 온도에 따른 결합형 3-MCPD 생성량을 분석한 결과 온도가 증가함에 따라 결합형 3-MCPD의 함량도 증가하였다. 190℃로 가열하였을때 145℃에 비해 결합형 3-MCPD 함량은 약 24배 높았다. 소금 함량 또한 결합형 3-MCPD 생성에 영향을 주어 소금 함량에 비례하여 결합형 3-MCPD의 생성량이 유의적으로 증가하였다. 유지 함량에 따른 결합형 3-MCPD 생성량을 분석한 결과 유지 함량이 증가하여도 결합형 3-MCPD의 생성량에는 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 본 연구를 통해 유탕 과자에서 유화제 종류, 유탕 온도와 소금 함량이 결합형 3-MCPD의 생성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다.

로버트 스미슨의 "개간 프로젝트"에 나타나는 생태학적 세계관 (The Ecological View of Robert Smithson's Reclamation Project)

  • This is a study on the ecological view of Robert Smithson's reclamation projects. Smithson was a pioneer of Earth art in the late 1960's. Robert Smithson believed that he could transform industrial wastelands, such as an abandoned oil rig and a no longer used quarry, into "Earth Art." In the early seventies, he conceived of land reclamation as a new art form and called this art "Reclamation Projects." His attention regarding industrial ruin started from the American political and social situations in the 1960's. In the late 1960's, American society was in chaos from the right of movement of African Americans, the women's rights movement and from the strike for renunciation of the Vietnam War. The intellectual class seemed to believe that it was the destiny of a closed system's society to run in the direction of entropy. Smithson, who was skeptical about the system of American society, also thought that entropy was the proper diagnosis to describe America's situation in the 1960's. The 1960's civic movements like the civil rights movement and antiwar movements expanded into the environmental movements based on ecological views of the 1970's. The government had also started to worry about environmental pollution. Thus, the reclamation act was also established in 1972. Smithson believed that the relation between art and social background are closely related and affect each other. He was concerned with how art can join society, and the result was reclamation projects. Such reclamation projects lie on man-made wastelands, like abandoned oil rigs and no longer used quarries, which was an allegory of entropy. He also thought that Frederick Law Olmsted was a pioneer of earth art. The aesthetic category of Olmsted's view of landscape is to be based on the picturesque of Uvedale Price and William Gilpin. So Smithson, who considered Olmsted as his touchstone, also accepted the picturesque. Such reclamation projects aim to change with nature by adapting the creative power of artists to the ruin which has the highest level of entropy in industrial society. Smithson wanted this to become the bridge between man and nature. His reclamation project's aim, which shows the system interacting between man and nature as a network, is not different from the ecological view of the 1970's environmental movement.

Meat Quality, Digestibility and Deposition of Fatty Acids in Growing-finishing Pigs Fed Restricted, Iso-energetic Amounts of Diets Containing either Beef Tallow or Sunflower Oil

  • The influence of dietary beef tallow (BT) versus sunflower oil (SO) on meat quality and apparent digestibility and deposition of individual fatty acids in the whole carcass was investigated in pigs fed diets containing either BT or SO. The diets contained equal amounts of energy in the form of the variable fats and were fed on an iso-energetic, restricted basis. Crude fat in the SO diet was better digested (p<0.001) than in the BT diet. The dietary fat type had no effect on growth performance, physical properties of the carcass and meat quality. The pigs fed the BT diet showed lower (p<0.001) apparent digestibilities for palmitic and linoleic acid, but those of oleic and ${\alpha}$-linolenic acid were not affected. The ratio of deposition in the carcass to intake of digestible fatty acids for the whole feeding period was decreased (p<0.01) for oleic and linoleic acid in pigs fed the SO diet. The pigs fed the SO diet instead of the BT diet had a lower (p<0.05) deposition:intake ratio for mono-unsaturated fatty acids. The calculated minimum de novo synthesis of saturated fatty acids was increased for the SO diet, but that of mono-unsaturated fatty acids was not different. In conclusion, the iso-energetic replacement of BT by SO had a marked impact on the fatty acid composition of tissues, but did not affect carcass and meat quality traits in spite of the marked difference in the deposition of linoleic acid in adipose tissues, loin muscle and the whole body. In addition, it became clear that the type of dietary fat had marked, specific effects on the synthesis and oxidation of fatty acids.
