저가형 용사피막형성법 이용 태양열 집열판 표면 처리에 관한 연구 (Research on surface coating of a solar collector using thermal spray foaming methodology for low cost)

  • A solar collector surface coated with a low emission material is still imported from other developed countries expensively. Thus it is very significant to develop a new coating method with a cheap alternative coating material instead of the imported high-cost collector surface. A thermal spray method was adopted to coat a cheap Titania on a copper plate. Generally, a new coating on the copper plate was conducted successfully by selecting a proper ratio of carbon and acetylene. By measuring an absorption rate of solar and heat emission rate, all the plate types gained a high absorption rate of 98% approximately, more or less, but all of the types still have a high emission. Finally it was clear that more research is needed to advance the coated-plate to subdue the high emission from the hot plate surface and the higher the Titania's proportion is, the lower the emission is on the surface.

  • 마늘즙의 동결건조(凍結乾燥)에 영향(影響)을 주는 주요(主要) 인자(因子)는 건조실(乾燥室)의 압력(壓力), 선반(船盤)의 온도, 시료(試料)의 두께, 시료(試料)의 농도(濃度)에 관한 영향(影響)을 시험(試驗) 분석(分析)한 결과(結果) 다음과 같은 결론(結論)을 얻었다. 가, 건조실(乾燥室)의 압력증가(壓力增加)는 건조속도(乾燥速度)를 증가(增加)시키며, 0/6Torr 부근(附近)에서 최대건조속도(最大乾燥速度)에 이르며 이보다 큰 압력하(壓力下)에서는 건조속도(乾燥速度)가 급격(急擊)하게 감소(減少) 하였으며 1.5Torr에서는 발포현상(發泡現象)을 일으키는 동결건조(凍結乾燥)는 부적합(不適合)하였다. 나. 동결온도를 높일수록 건조속도(乾燥速度)가 커지므로 선반온도를 올리는 것이 동결건조(凍結乾燥)에 유리(有利)하나 $10^{\circ}C$이상(以上)은 적절(適切)하지 않으며 선반온도를 $20^{\circ}C$로 올리면 시료(試料)가 발포(發泡)와 비산현상(飛散現象)을 일으키므로 건조(乾燥)가 불가능(不可能)하였다. 다. 고형물(固形物)을 함량(含量)이 증가할수록 건조속도(乾燥速度)는 늦어지는 경향(傾向)을 알 수 있었으나 평형수분함량(平衡水分含量)에 도달(到達)되는 시간(時間)을 기준(基準)으로 한 경제성(經濟性)을 고려(考慮)할 때 약(約) 30%의 원래(原來) 농도(濃度)가 가장 유리(有利)하다고 판단(判斷)되어진다. 라. 시료(試料) 두께가 커질수록 건조속도(乾燥速度)가 작아지며 시료(試料) 높이가 약 3.0cm에서 발포현상(發泡現象)이 관찰(觀察)되었다. 건조(乾燥)에 소요(所要)되는 시간(時間) 등(等)으로 판단(判斷)할 때 시료(試料) 높이가 약(約) 1.0cm가 가장 적절(適切)한 것으로 판단(判斷)되었다.

  • 동방유량(東邦流糧)에서 공급(供給)받은 저변성(低變成) 탈지대두박(脫脂大豆粕)을 0.02N NaOH액(液)으로 추출(抽出)하여 Soy Protein Isolate (SPI)의 수율(收率)을 증류수나 염용액(鹽溶液)으로 추출(抽出)할때 보다 높이는 과정(過程)(84 % 수율(收率))을 확립(確立)하였으며 제조(製造)된 SPI는 92.1 %의 단백질(蛋白質)을 함유(含有)하였다. SPI를 $70^{\circ}C$에서 moisture heat를 하면 80분간(分間)에 5 %의 변성(變性)이 일어났으나 $95^{\circ}C$에서는 20분(分) 처리(處理)에 의(依)하여 95 %의 변성(變性)이 일어났다. SPI의 alkali 현탄액 (dope solution)은 SPI의 농도(濃度) 15 %, NaOH 농도(濃度) 0.6 %일때 7분(分)만에 60 poises를 나타내고 계속 안정(安定)된 점도(粘度)를 유지하였다. NaOH의 농도(濃度)가 0.9 %일 때는 시간(時間)이 경과(經過)함에 따라 점도(粘度)는 증가(增加)하였다가 감소(減少)하는 경향(傾向)을 보였다. syringe needle (dia. 0.3 mm)로서 모의(模擬) 실험(實驗) 결과(結果) 점도(粘度)가 $28^{\circ}C$에서 60 Poises일때 가장 적합한 단백질섬유(蛋白質纖維)의 texture를 보여주었다. 가열(加熱)에 의(依)한 SPI의 gelation은 8 %이상(以上)의 SPI농도(濃度)일 때 gel이 형성(形成)되기 시작하였으며 $100^{\circ}C$까지 안정(安定)한 gel을 형성(形成)하였고 SPI의 농도(濃度)가 12 %일때 $120^{\circ}C$에서 30분(分) 가열(加熱)에 의(依)하여 20,000 Poises의 좋은 점도(粘度)를 가졌으나 $120^{\circ}C$이상에서는 gel의 continuity가 떨어져 과립상(果粒上)의 gel이 생성(生成)되었다. SPI의 유화력(乳化力)은 pH가 8.7, NaCl의 농도(濃度)가 2 %일때 가장 큰 유화력(乳化力)을 나타냈다. milk casein과 비교(比較) 실험(實驗) 결과(結果) 유화력(乳化力)은 약간 낮았으나 염(鹽)이 존재(存在)하는 경우는 근사한 유화력(乳化力)을 보였다. 그러나 SPI의 foaming capacity는 foaming stability 면(面)에서 egg albumin이나 milk casein과 비교(比較)하여 양호(良好)한 결과(結果)를 보여주었다.

  • 폐단백질을 활용하는 방도의 하나로 참깨박으로부터 불용성 단백질의 분리 효율성을 높이고 기능성을 개선하기 위하여 실온에서 5 kGy에서 20 kGy까지 방사선을 처리하였다. 조사선량 5 kGy에서 참깨박 단백질의 용출율은 최대를 나타내었으며 그 이상의 고선량에서는 용출율이 다소 감소하였다. 방사선처리된 참깨박단백질은 거품형성력과 거품안정성이 대조구에 비해 증가하였고, 유화력과 유화안정성도 방사선처리구가 비처리구에 비해 증가하였다. 수분흡착력은 별다른 변화가 없었으나, 유지흡착력은 방사선처리구가 비처리구에 비해 감소하였다.

Compressive Strength Properties of Geopolymers from Pond Ash and Possibility of Utilization as Synthetic Basalt

  • Pond ash is a mixture of mostly coarser fly ash and bottom ash. The recycling rate of pond ash is low because pond ash is mixed with seawater and deposited in ponds. The pond ash is also subjected to natural weathering over a period of time. In this study, we investigated whether pond ash can be used as a raw material of geopolymers, without any purification process or through a minimal purification process. In addition, we investigated whether synthetic basalt made by adding foaming agent to geopolymer or casting it into a mold can show the surface of the natural basalt as it is. The highest 7-day compressive strength in geopolymers from pond ash without purification process was 26 MPa. The highest 7-day compressive strength in geopolymers from pond ash with impurities removed through dry sieve analysis was found to improve to 80 MPa. On the other hand, synthetic basalt made with geopolymer was shown to be more advantageous aesthetically when produced by casting it in a silicone mold rather than by adding a foaming agent. Non-purified pond ash can be made into geopolymers having low strength. Pond ash purified by sieving can, without use of an aggregate, be made into geopolymer having high-strength. Also, it is possible to produce synthetic basalt with the same appearance as natural basalt and sufficient strength for commercialization. This process will contribute to the mass consumption and recycling of pond ash.

Phytase, Protease 및 Phytase와 Protease 혼합 효소처리가 폐대두박의 단백질 추출율 및 그 기능성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Phytase, Protease and the Mixed Enzyme of Phytase and Protease on the Extraction and Properteis of the Protein from Abolished Soybean Meal)

  • To extract insoluble proteins from abolished soybean meal, the meal was treatesd with phytase and protease produced by Aspergillus sp. SM-15 and Aspergillus sp. MS-18. The extraction of insoluble soybean protein was increased at alkaline range more than pH 5 in case of phytase, pH 7 to 11 in case of protease and pH 5 to 12 in case of the mixed enzyme of phytase and protease. The optimum extraction temperature of insoluble protein was 5$0^{\circ}C$ for phytase and the mixed enzyme of phytase and protease, and 6$0^{\circ}C$ for protease. The optimum treatment time for extraction of protein was 9 hrs for phytase, 11 hrs for protease and the mixed enzyme of phytase and protease and optimum unit of enzyme for extraction of protein was 600 unit, 40 unit and 900 unit+60 unit in case of phytase, protease, phytase and protease, respectively. The treatment of mixed enzyme showed higher extracton rate of protein than single enzyme treatment. The foaming capacity, foaming stability, emulsion capacity, and emulsion stability of soybean meal protein by the treatment of the enzymes increased at all pH range. Further more oil absorption as well as water absorption capacities by the treatment of the enzymes were also increased. The functional properteis of the soybean meal protein treated by the mixed enzyme were higher than those of soybean meal protein treated by the single enzyme.

제습 LDPE 필름에 관한 특성 분석연구 (Study on the Characteristics of the dehumidification LDPE film)

  • 본 연구에서는 친환경 제설제로 사용이 증가되고 있는 CMA를 바탕으로 고성능흡습제로 사용되어지고 있는 SAP와 sodium carbonate, $MgCl_2$/MgO (M/M)에 대하여 제습MB를 제조하고 필름으로서의 흡습율 및 제습성능을 분석하고, 제습필름 적용물질에 대한 Data를 확보하고자 한다. CMA와 SAP를 혼합한 제습MB의 경우 발포현상과 수분문제로 필름가공성이 어려웠으나, Bentonite와 calcium carbonate 첨가로 해결할 수 있었다. 필름가공시 물질들 간의 표면적 공간을 넓히는 역할로서 발포제를 첨가한 경우, CMA와 M/M의 경우 큰 차이성은 없었지만, 발포제가 첨가된 SC의 제습성은 3.15 g/g로 높은 결과를 알 수 있었다. 또한 방청성 테스트의 결과 CMA 제습필름 경우 부식발생은 없었으며, SC의 경우 점 부식 발생, M/M의 경우 부식발생이 일어났다.

펙틴, 알긴산가루를 첨가한 증편의 이화학적 특성과 저장 중 변화 (Change in Physicochemical and Storage Characteristics of Jeungpyun by Addition of Pectin and Alginate powder)

  • This study investigated the effect of $2\%$ addition of pectin and alginate on the Physicochemical and retrogradation Properties of Jeungpyun, a Korean traditional fermented rice cake. The volume of batters with alginate and Pectin was significantly larger than that of control. Jeungpyun samples with Pectin and alginate had a larger volume with uniform and smaller cell size. All samples showed largest foaming capability after second fermentation. Foaming capability of the control ($0\%$ addition of pectin and alginate) was significantly larger than that of the treated samples. The amount of reducing sugar tended to increase during fermentation but decreased after steaming, which was due to the increase in hydrolysis of starch. On the contrary, the content of free sugar was slightly decreased during fermentation but slightly increased after steaming. The control contained the largest amount of free sugar after steaming. The microstructure of starch particles after fermentation showed completely dispersed starch granules with air bubbles. After steaming, the structure was sponge-like in all samples. Samples with added alginate and pectin had significantly higher water binding capacity than those of the control. All samples showed noticeably increased solubility and swelling power at $70^{circ}C$ with the control being significantly lower than the treated samples. Retrogradation was measured with $\alpha$-amylase and the retrogradation process of the sample with added alginate and pectin proceeded slower than that of the control. The relative crystallinity was observed through X-ray diffraction method and samples with added alginate and pectin had smaller crystallinity and delayed retrogradation compared to the control. Thus, Jeungpyun with the addition of alginate and Pectin demonstrated improved functionality and dietary fiber addition effect. The storage period of was extended as the retrogradation rate was delayed by the addition of dietary fibers.

Biosurfactant as a microbial pesticide

  • Soil-borne infectious disease including Pythium aphanidermatum and Rhizoctonia solani causes severe damage to plants, such as cucumber. This soil-borne infectious disease was not controlled effectively by chemical pesticide. Since these diseases spread through the soil, chemical agents are usually ineffective. Instead, biological control, including antagonistic microbe can be used as a preferred control method. An efficient method was developed to select an antagonistic strain to be used as a biological control agent strain. In this new method, surface tension reduction potential of an isolate was included in the ‘decision factor’ in addition to the other factors, such as growth rate, and pathogen inhibition rate. Considering these 3 decision factors by a statistical method, an isolate from soil was selected and was identified as Bacillus sp. GB16. In the pot test, this strain showed the best performance among the isolated strains. The lowest disease incidence rate and fastest seed growth was observed when Bacillus sp. GB16 was used. Therefore this strain was considered as plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR). The action of surface tension reducing component was deduced as the enhancement of wetting, spreading, and residing of antagonistic strain in the rhizosphere. This result showed that new selection method was significantly effective in selecting the best antagonistic strain for biological control of soil-borne infectious plant pathogen. The antifungal substances against P. aphanidermatum and R. solani were partially purified from the culture filtrates of Bacillus sp. GB16. In this study, lipopeptide possessing antifungal activity was isolated from Bacillus sp. GB16 cultures by various purification procedures and was identified as a surfactin-like lipopeptide based on the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), high performance liquid chromatography mass spectroscopy (HPLC-MS), and quadrupole time-of-flight (Q-TOF) ESI-MS/MS data. The lipopeptide, named GB16-BS, completely inhibited the growth of Pythium aphanidermatum, Rhizoctonia solani, Penicillium sp., and Botrytis cineria at concentrations of 10 and 50 mg/L, respectively. A novel method to prevent the foaming and to provide oxygen was developed. During the production of surface active agent, such as lipopeptide (surfactin), large amount of foam was produced by aeration. This resulted in the carryover of cells to the outside of the fermentor, which leads to the significant loss of cells. Instead of using cell-toxic antifoaming agents, low amount of hydrogen peroxide was added. Catalase produced by cells converted hydrogen peroxide into oxygen and water. Also addition of corn oil as an oxygen vector as well as antifoaming agent was attempted. In addition, Ca-stearate, a metal soap, was added to enhance the antifoam activity of com oil. These methods could prevent the foaming significantly and maintained high dissolved oxygen in spite of lower aeration and agitation. Using these methods, high cell density, could be achieved with increased lipopeptide productivity. In conclusion to produce an effective biological control agent for soil-borne infectious disease, following strategies were attempted i) effective screening of antagonist by including surface tension as an important decision factor ii) identification of antifungal compound produced from the isolated strain iii) novel oxygenation by $H_2O_2-catalase$ with vegetable oil for antifungal lipopeptide production.

액상 과망간산칼륨 적용시 육계 깔짚의 특성 평가 (Assessing the Impact of Liquid Potassium Permanganate on Litter Quality of Poultry)

  • The effects of liquid potassium permanganate (KMnO4) on the litter quality of poultry were investigated. Two-hundred-forty 0-day-old broiler chickens (Arbor Acres) were randomly assigned to two treatments with four replicated pens of 30 chickens each. Treatment liquid KMnO4 at a rate of 50 g of liquid KMnO4/kg of poultry litter was sprayed onto the litter surface using a small hand pump; others served as a control that was applied without liquid KMnO4 additions. Compared with controls, the treatment liquid KMnO4 showed no differences in pH, total nitrogen and ammonia concentration. It was concluded that liquid KMnO4 did not significantly increase poultry litter quality. Mechanisms relating to increasing litter pH and ammonia using liquid KMnO4 are an oxidant agent (not acid-foaming agents).
