In this study, the dynamic analysis is performed fur predicting the transmitted force to flexible human body induced by prototype HIF(High Impulsive force) device operation, which is partially assembled by major parts. A beam-mass model and a shear-structure model are used for the flexible mount structure and their dynamic behavior are investigated by experimental results under rigid/flexible mount conditions using a general purpose device. From the test result of prototype device in rigid mount condition, the transmitted force to human body which can not be measured directly, is estimated based on the proved mount structure model.

A multi d.o.f robotic manipulator is considered for multi-axis vibration control of a slender structure, using the concept of the flow source based vibration control. In order not to cause the motion saturation of the manipulator system, a hybrid dynamics associated with the flexible and desired manipulator error dynamics is also modeled as the control object. It is numerically shown that the flexible vibrations and the base motions of a test structure can be effectively controlled with the proposed hybrid dynamics.

The calcium-induced structural changes in the skeletal muscle regulatory protein troponin C (NTnC) involve a transition from a ‘closed’to an ‘open’structure with the concomitant exposure of a large hydrophobic interaction site for target proteins. Structural studies have served to define this conformational change and elucidate the mechanism of the linkage between calcium binding and the induced structural changes. There are now several structures of NTnC available from both NMR and X-ray crystallography. Comparison of the calcium bound structures reveals differences in the level of opening. We have considered the concept of a flexible open state of NTnC as a possible explanation for this apparent discrepancy. We also present simulations of the closed-to-open transition which are in agreement with the flexibility concept and with experimental energetics data.

In the reinforced concrete structure, Even if speak that water leakage occurrence is no problem to material, there is a lot of reasons construction factor, material damage by behavior structure, properties of matter change by years and water leakage part by environment condition. so, waterproofing technological consideration should be gone ahead. In this research, we will study about stick performance, concrete surface adhesive, damage and blow. we will check all things and test it. The stick expansion type complex of flexible material passed on result of standard. It is conducive to concrete of durability by waterproofing layer performance demobilitation technology on the water leakage structure for solution of problem and repair

A combined optimal design problem of structural and control systems is discussed by taking a 3-D flexible structure as an object. We consider a minimum weight design problem for structural system and disturbance suppression problem for the control system. The conditions for the existence of controller are expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMI). By minimizing the linear sum of the normalized structural objective function and control objective function, it is possible to make optimal design by which the balance of the structural weight and the control performance is taken. We showed in this paper the validity of combined optimal design of structural and control systems.

Recently flexible electronic devices have attracted a great deal of attention because of new application possibilities including flexible display, flexible memory, flexible solar cell and flexible sensor. In particular, development of flexible memory is essential to complete the flexible integrated systems such as flexible smart phone and wearable computer. Research of flexible memory has primarily focused on organic-based materials. However, organic flexible memory has still several disadvantages, including lower electrical performance and long-term reliability. Therefore, emerging research in flexible electronics seeks to develop flexible and stretchable technologies that offer the high performance of conventional wafer-based devices as well as superior flexibility. Development of flexible memory with inorganic silicon materials is based on the design principle that any material, in sufficiently thin form, is flexible and bendable since the bending strain is directly proportional to thickness. This article reviews progress in recent technologies for flexible memory and flexible electronics with inorganic silicon materials, including transfer printing technology, wavy or serpentine interconnection structure for reducing strain, and wafer thinning technology.

The flexible structure like solar array and antenna in spacecraft shows very sensitive responses to the inner or outer disturbance and noise. And the spacecraft becomes more complex and larger as it has various mission and role. But since the spacecraft need to have the limited mass, the thin and light material should be selected and this necessity induces the decrease d natural frequency and structural stiffness. It reduces the ability of adapting to the disturbance and induces the structural unstability. Certainly, the disturbance does not only make the structural unstability, but also give the bad effect to the precise attitude control. So it is necessary to control the vibration in the space. In this paper, the flexible structure control modeling with piezo sensor and piezo actuator is developed. The model uncertainty of damping ratio is overcome by robust control. The system equation is induced by the finite element method.
Since the early 2000s, various fashion design products that use 3D printing technology have constantly been introduced to the fashion industry. However, given the nature of 3D printing technology, the flexible characteristics of material of textile fabrics is yet to be achieved. The aim of this study is to develop the optimal design conditions for production of flexible and elastic 3D printing fabric structure based on plain weave, which is the basic structure in fabric weaving using SLS 3D printing technology. As a the result this study aims to utilize appropriate design conditions as basic data for future study of flexible fashion product design such as textile material. Weaving structural design using 3D printing is based on the basic plain weave, and the warp & weft thickness of 4mm, 3mm, 2mm, 1.5mm, 1mm, and 0.7mm as expressed in Rhino 6.0 CAD software program for making a 3D model of size $1800mm{\times}180mm$ each. The completed 3D digital design work was then applied to the EOS SLS Machine through Maker ware, a program for 3D printer output, using polyamide 12 material which has a rigid durability strength, and the final results obtained through bending flexibility tests. In conclusion, when designing the fabric structure design in 3D printing using SLS method through application of polyamide 12 material, the thickness of 1 mm presented the optimal condition in order to design a durable digital textile structure with flexibility and elasticity of the 3D printing result.
This paper presents a procedure for designing command to maneuver flexible structure with very little residual vibration, even in the presence of modeling errors. For the open loop maneuver, the various shaped profiles using multiple step inputs delayed in time are considered for robustness and compared with the responses of rigid body and flexible body in virtue of simulations and experiments. Input shaping generates vibration-reducing shaped commands through convolution of an impulse sequence with the desired command. A flexible model with a cylindrical hub and four symmetric appendages is considered to examine the responses to real plant, and to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed shapers. The appendages are long and flexible, leading to low frequency vibration under any control action. It is shown by a series of simulation that a properly designed feedback controller with input shaper performs well, as compared with open loop controller with input shaper. The control objective is to achieve a fast settling time of residual vibration to flexible structure and robustness (insensitivity)to plant uncertainty, to eliminate residual vibration.

Numerical simulations of the Vortex-Induced Vibration (VIV) about a large-scale flexible pipe subject to shear flow were carried out in this paper. Efficiency verification was performed firstly, validating that the proposed fluid-structure interaction solution strategy is competent in predicting the VIV response. Then, the VIV characteristics related to multi-mode and spanwise hybrid waveform about the flexible pipe attributed to shear flow were investigated. When inflow velocity rises, higher vibration modes are apt to be excited, and the spanwise waveform easily convertes from a standing-wave-dominated status to a hybrid standing-traveling wave status. The multi-mode or even multiple-dominant-mode is prone to occur, that is, the dominant mode is often followed by several apparent subordinate modes with considerable vibration energy. Hence, the shedding frequencies no longer obey Strouhal law, and vibration trajectories become intricate. According to the motion analysis concerning the coupled cross-flow and in-line vibrations, as well as the corresponding wake patterns, a tight coupling interaction exists between the structural deformation and the wake flow behind the flexible pipe. In addition, the evolution of the vortex tube along the pipe span and a strong 3D effect are observed due to the slenderness of the flexible pipe and the variability of the vortex shedding attributed to the shear flow.
