  • Magic matrix-based data hiding schemes are applied to transmit secret information through open communication channels safely. With the development of various magic matrices, some higher dimensional magic matrices are proposed for improving the security level. However, with the limitation of computing resource and the requirement of real time processing, these higher dimensional magic matrix-based methods are not advantageous. Hence, a kind of data hiding scheme based on a single or a group of multi-dimensional flexible magic matrices is proposed in this paper, whose magic matrix can be expanded to higher dimensional ones with less computing resource. Furthermore, an adaptive mechanism is proposed to reduce the embedding distortion. Adapting to the secret data, the magic matrix with least distortion is chosen to embed the data and a marker bit is exploited to record the choice. Experimental results confirm that the proposed scheme hides data with high security and a better visual quality.

  • FACES II & III did not capture high extremes of Cohesion and Adaptability dimension, and were linear rather than curvilinear measure. The purpose of this study was to examine reliability and validity of revised FACES using by FACES II,III,IV. Factor analysis showed that Cohesion and Adaptability dimension consisted each 3 factors(disengaged, connected, enmeshed / rigid, flexible, chaotic). Extremes on each dimension conceptually were opposite and they were uncorrelated with each other. Revised FACES effectively predicted family function. Reliability coefficients of subscales ranged form .68~.82. Revised FACES had good internal consistency, and construct and criterion related validity.

  • This paper reports on a flexible flap valve actuated by electromagnetic force under a constant pressure source. The flexible flap valve consists of the three main components: a flexible flap with a steel disk embedded in PDMS, an electromagnetic actuator and two glass plates with inlet and outlet. The flap valve is fabricated by SU-8 mold process, the EDM process and oxygen plasma treatment. The dimension of an assembled flap valve is $12[mm]{\times}20[mm]{\times}28[mm]$. The stroke volume of the flap valve is measured for various pressures. And the time of the applied input voltage is varied to change the open time of the valve. When the input voltage of 30[V] is applied for 0.25[s], the minimum stroke volume of the flap valve is $40[{\mu}L]$ at 70 [kPa].

  • Even though a flexible disk grinding process was often applied to enhance the product quality, it produced non-flat zone in the beginning and the exit (end) area. Since latter area is susceptible to poor product quality with burn mark, careful analysis is required to cope with such degradation. The flexible disk grinding exit stage was analyzed for workpiece length, wheel speed, depth of cut and feed. The exit stage qualities defined as exit stage ratio and exit stage angle or slope was characterized. A neural network application results reveled that exit stage characteristics was predicted more accurately without workpiece dimension with minimum error of 1.3%.

  • We study the dynamic burst assembly based on traffic prediction and offset and delay differentiation in optical burst switching network. To improve existing burst assembly mechanism and build an adaptive flexible optical burst switching network, an approach called quality of service (QoS) based adaptive dynamic assembly (QADA) is proposed in this paper. QADA method takes into account current arrival traffic in prediction time adequately and performs adaptive dynamic assembly in limited burst assembly time (BAT) range. By the simulation of burst length error, the QADA method is proved better than the existing method and can achieve the small enough predictive error for real scenarios. Then the different dynamic ranges of BAT for four traffic classes are introduced to make delay differentiation. According to the limitation of BAT range, the burst assembly is classified into one-dimension limit and two-dimension limit. We draw a comparison between one-dimension and two-dimension limit with different prediction time under QoS based offset time and find that the one-dimensional approach offers better network performance, while the two-dimensional approach provides strict inter-class differentiation. Furthermore, the final simulation results in our network condition show that QADA can execute adaptive flexible burst assembly with dynamic BAT and achieve a latency reduction, delay fairness, and offset time QoS guarantee for different traffic classes.

  • In the Prestressed die design for cold working, many constraining conditions should be considered to insure the die safety and to improve the dimension accountancy products. Among the constraining conditions, yielding conditions, diameter ratios and interferences between rings are very important. . In this paper, therefore, flexible tolerance method was used in order to search the optimum values of design variables. The maximum inner pressure is used as objective function in this numerical analysis. In the design Process, it was also involved the safety factor to the yield strength of each ring by considering the allowable tensile or compressive hoop stress in each ring. The proposed technique has been applied to the die design of backward extrusion process, and it's analytical results have been compared with that of the conventional design method.

  • Flexible pavement responses to vehicular loading, such as critical stresses and strains, in each pavement layer, could be predicted by the multilayered elastic analysis. However, multilayered elastic theory suffers from major drawbacks including spatial dimension of a numerical model, material properties considered in the analysis, boundary conditions, and ill-presentation of tire-pavement contact shape and stresses. To overcome these shortcomings, three-dimensional finite element (3D FE) models are developed and numerical analyses are conducted to calculate pavement responses to moving load in this study. This paper introduces a methodology for an effective 3D FE to simulate flexible pavement structure. It also discusses the mesh development and boundary condition analysis. Sensitivity analyses of flexible pavement response to loading are conducted. The infinite boundary conditions and time-dependent history of calculated pavement responses are considered in the analysis. This study found that the outcome of 3D FE implicit dynamic analysis of flexible pavement that utilizes appropriate boundary conditions, continuous moving load, viscoelastic hot-mix asphalt model is comparable to field measurements.

  • Hydroelastic effects on sloshing phenomena in a rectangular tank are numerically investigated. The dimension of the tank is $1000mm{\times}600mm$, and the filling ratio of water is 20% of tank height. One of the side walls of tank is assumed to be flexible. The tank is excited into sway motion with amplitude of 100mm and frequency of 0.53Hz that is first natural frequency of water inside the tank. Prediction results for time histories of pressure and displacement of flexible and rigid walls are compared to quantitatively assess hydroelastic effects on sloshing phenomena.

  • A comparative study of the new flexible double hull structure is presented as a collision energy absorbing system, which is constructed with mixed stringers comprising slant and straight stringers for the double hull tanker, The dimension and disposition of this mixed stringers are selected to give the maximum absorbing energy. From the viewpoint of collision energy absorbing efficiency, this structural system is compared with three other types of the double hull constructions with trapezoidal stiffener, stringer type and standard type of VLCC, 310K DWT, Based on the constant hull weight, the proposed double hull structure with mixed stringers shows a improved crashworthiness as the results.
