일본 도심형 노인전문요양시설의 환경디자인 특성에 관한 사례연구 - 대동경소재 5개 시설을 중심으로 - (A Case Study on Characteristics of Environmental Design for Nursing Home in Japan - Focused on 5 Facilities in Tokyo -)

  • This research aimed to assess nursing homes for the elderly with geriatric diseases in Japan, and to prepare the knowledge basis to develop nursing home for the elderly with geriatric diseases in Korea. For this, researcher visited 5 facilities in Tokyo from October 3 to October 9 in 2002, collected data by observations, interviews, and visual materials by taking photographs. Visual materials were analyzed according to the environmental assessment matrix consisted of supportiveness, flexibility, efficiency in perception, accessibility, safety, amenity, and social Interaction that were assorted and were given a name by these researchers in the process of this research. Among the characteristics of environmental design of the analysis cases, 992 items picked out from 722 visual materials were used in the analysis. The data were analyzed using the frequency and percentage with SPSS 11 program. The analysis results were the fellowing. The characteristics of recent nursing home design in Japan tended to focus on supportiveness, amenity, and efficiency in perception but to leave much desired in flexibility and safety. In each space, space to support outdoor activities tended to focus on efficiency in perception, space to support living activities tended to focus on amenities, space to support treatment and living tended to focus on supportiveness, space to support administration and operation tended to focus on supportiveness, and space to support movement tended to focus on amenities.

공동주택 단위주호의 융통성을 위한 구조방식의 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Structure System for the Flexible Unit Plan Designing in Apartment Housing)

  • Present structure design has a problem arising from the fact that present apartment housing design doesn't satisfy user's diverse demand. An aim of this study on searching out the alternative to solve this problem. The results of study are as follows : 1) Methods of flexible structure are analyzed to reflect user's needs and practical example of those proposed. 2) To raise the flexibility of design reinforced concrete pannel wall system are selected. The basic types of T and II for the figures of pannel are adopted. As a result it brought so much open space not having influenced on the load of construction that it enhances the flexibility of the space allocation. Also that made it easy to meet the user's demand for 8 kinds of plan types are easily designed according to the arrangement of the space and its scale. These results will become basic data of future unit plan design in apartment housing.

Elastic Analysis of Plates Resting on Elastic Half-Space Considering the Local Segregation Between Plate and Foundation

  • It is one of classical problems in the elastic theory to analyze contact stresses between elastic bodies. Concrete pavements under traffic wheel loads can be considered as one of these typical problems. In this paper, an elastic plate resting on tensionless elastic half-space is analyzed by finite element method. The Boussinesq's solution of elastic half-space is used to evaluate the flexibility of foundation. One of the principal difficulties in solving the local seperation phenomena between plate and foundation is that the geometry of the system is unknown. To obtain the boundary of contact area, the flexibility matrix of foundation is modified after each cycle of analysis iteratively. Some numerical examples are presented by using these method.

강소주택 실효성 논의를 위한 일본 소형주택 공간 활용 사례 분석 (A Case Study of Space Utilization on Compact Houses in Japan to build Compact-but-effective Houses in Korea)

  • The objective of this study is to find a possible application of small space utilization of GangSo Housing, so called compact-but-effective housing, through analyzing that of Japanese small housing. We analyze openness of view and flexibility of spaces divided by the physical and architectural aspects as first component and the psychological and interior space aspects as second component. The results showed that Japanese small houses have various unit plan compared to uniformity of Korean houses. Openness of view in Japanese small housing is accomplished by letting in light from the outside using position and shape of the window, looking more spacious using courtyard, void spaces, or sliding door hanging from the ceiling, and creating deception of view using floor-wall plan and appropriate materials. Flexibility of spaces is achieved by combination of first and second components, multipurpose of space and furniture, and variety of storage methods. It is necessary to improve spatial efficiency with consideration of volume-metric planing rather than flat-plane and develop various unit plans to meet residents' needs and demands on compact-but-effective houses.

  • An integrated control design and modeling method of multibody space structures is presented as a tool to control an d describe the large rotational motions of the space structures. The structures representeed with three separated substructures have independent control systems but linked with joints interacting the dynamic motions of the substructures. The effect of the structural flexibility to the control performance was analyzed and the simulation results showed that effectiveness of the designed control logic in controlling the motions of the multi-body space structures.

  • Recently the construction of high-rise hybrid type building is progressively increased as the social demands. It is significantly important factors such as economy, the safety of structure, and the flexibility of internal space. Therefore new hybrid structural system, using slim flat plate system, is also required to be attained the reduction of story height, the flexibility and efficient use of space. The most suitable structural system is ,with the economy and flexibility, flat plate system in high-rise hybrid type building. But it was focused in the seismic performance for high performance flat plate system in high-rise hybrid type building. Therefore, in the study, to develop the new flat-plate system with high ductile, durable, good performance for the applications. It was evaluated the seismic performance in the critical region of slab-column connection. And then high performance flat plate system, designed by the economy and safety, was developed as a new technique in the application of high-rise hybrid type building.

공동주택 단위주호의 공간구성유형에 따른 정량적 평가지표에 관한 연구 (A Study of Quantitative Evaluation Indicators on Residential Units in Multiple Stock Housing based on Space Composition Types)

  • This research investigated 162 residential unit plans which were located in Seoul and Gyonggi Province ranging from 58 to $118m^2$ unit net area recently. Through the investigation of unit plans, a matrix was developed based on the 5 criteria for space composition types. 5 criteria are building stock types, W/D ratio of units, unit net area, number of bay to the main orientation, and openness types. After review the matrix, 10 typical unit types were selected. At the same time, quantitative evaluation indicators were developed based on the 4 criteria such as efficiency, openness, flexibility, environmental sustainability. On each criterion, 3 indicators were developed, and measured on 162 residential unit plans. Firstly, correlation analysis were pursued on 5 criteria for space composition types and 12 quantitative evaluation indicators, and reviewed on each other. Finally, quantitative evaluation indicators of 10 typical unit types were displayed on radar charts in order to show the integrated evaluation on 4 criteria such as efficiency, openness, flexibility, environmental sustainability. From the reviews and radar chart analyses, advantages, disadvantages, and improvements on each typical unit type were presented as research results.

의과대학의 기능과 동선에 관한 건축계획 연구 (A Study on the Architectural Planning of the Function and Circulation in the College of Medicine)

  • Purpose: This study is to present basic data on the Architectural planning of the college of medicine by arranging the functional zoning planning, functional unit planning, and circulation planning, based on the diversification of medical education and the changes of Learning spaces. Methods: This study was conducted by literature review on existing medical education method and learning space planning. And then on-site surveys and questionnaire were conducted on existing facilities. Results: The diversification of medical education has already been progressing for a long time, and the development of information technology is integrated into the learning space, and the evolution of the learning method and the flexibility of the learning space give effect to the change of the learning space. ① This study reconstructed the existing classification method of university facilities into the fuctional zoning method that combines the architectural concept of function and movement. ② The functions and functional units of the college of medicine according to the proposed functional zone were arranged, and the space required for the medical college was suggested. ③ The function and type of movement of medical college can be classified into professor/student fusion type, teaching and research separation type, and learning and learning shared space integrated arrangement type. In the future, it is necessary to consider fusion type or integrated arrangement type rather than separation type. Implications: the evolution of the learning method and the flexibility of the learning space give effect to the change of the learning space.

  • Office interior design is based on the understanding of diversity information about working program, organization and networking system of the company. To build a good working environment, flexibility of space and communication between employees and employer in the office are very important. Due to the business growth, the "N" company requires more working space and this project is basically initiated to relocate in new working environment. This work pursues the clients can enhance more creativity and productivity in their working area. In order to promote the efficiency and comfort of the working environment, diverse employee's working characteristic, individual and collective requirements have been observed. The basic concept of the design can be summarized in the following : youth, simplicity, modern and nature.

융합기술연구소 실험공간의 특성과 오픈랩 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on Spatial Characteristics of the Converging Technology Laboratory and Open-Lab System)

  • This study attempts to find out the spatial characteristics of the converging technology laboratory. For this, the understanding of the nature of converging technology and its necessary system requirements are crucial. The foremost concern lies in the 'flexibility' of the laboratory space, i.e. 'open-lab system', because of the multi-disciplinary spatial arrangement which is supposed to be open to a number of different research fields in the same building cluster. From the case analysis, this study reveals that in order to maximize the adjustability, the module based space unit plan should be considered at the earliest stage. In addition, it is also found from the analysis that the linkage of the communication spaces such as seminar room, auditorium, lounge, rest room, dining room, and corridors should be dealt with a higher degree of sophistication, since these facilitate the interaction of information at the behavioral level.
