The purpose of this study is to develope Premarital Relationship Enrichment Program (PREP). This Program was based on survey (416 data used) for the need of PREP. The results was as followings : 1. The purpose of this study is to examine market timing and volatility timing abilities in Korean equity funds by distinguishing 'skill' and 'luck' for individual funds. In this study, we use the funds, which exist more than consecutive 24 month non-overlapping periods. This procedure leaves 545 funds among total 1,904 funds during sample priod January 2001 to December 2007. To derive the 'luck' distribution, the cross-sectional bootrap approach is adopted. From our results, it is found that when the traditional regression approach is adopted, only few Korean equity funds possess market timing and volatility timing abilities. However, based on the 'luck' distributions, which are derived from cross-sectional bootstrap approach, it is found that market timing and volatility timing abilities of Korean equity funds are merely from 'luck' rather than 'skill'.

The purpose of this study is to empirically confirm the effect of the characteristics of construction workers on the occurrence of defects in construction. In this study, the degree of direct construction is measured through the ratio of the direct recruitment and outsourcing manpower of the original contractor, and the effect of this on the occurrence of defects is empirically analyzed using financial data. In addition, it is verified whether the degree of defect occurrence varies depending on the job skill level of the direct hired personnel inputted to the construction. Through this, it will be possible to prepare an argument for revitalizing the direct construction of construction companies and an opportunity to promote it.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to verify a change for family nursing phenomena and satisfaction of clients of vulnerable families in an urban community. Methods: The study subjects were 711 families, randomly selected, who had chronic diseases(arthritis diabetes, stroke, hypertension, mental disease, cancer, dementia) with basic social welfare services from the nation and had disabled persons in an urban community, South Korea. The instruments used were the family nursing phenomena in Korea by ICNP and client satisfaction. Client satisfaction consisted of client satisfaction on home visiting nurses(4 Likert scales) and home visiting services(3 Likert scales). Results: The average visiting number is 3.82. The service number of education and counseling is 3.16, patient and symptom management 3.08, assessment and diagnosis 3.08, test 2.02, medication service 1.71회, dressing 1.01, referral to social welfare institute 1.00회, referral to medical service institute 0.21. In both, pre home visiting and post home visiting, the highest rated phenomenon was the 'lack of social support system' and following that 'deficit of financial management skill and support'. 'lack of family interaction in community', and 'social isolation' 'unhealthy life style' and 'inadequate care management of sick member', in that order. The percentages of phenomena besides 'deficit of financial management skill and support' decreased. The satisfaction level of clients towards the nurses was 3.27 points on a scale of 4, and the nursing services was 2.70 points on a scale of 3. Conclusion: Home visiting nursing services should continue to provide comprehensive healthcare services and support for vulnerable families, in urban communities.
Purpose - For small and medium sized firms, CEO characteristics are main factor influencing firms' prosperity as well as performance. So it is quite natural that many people are interested in factors of CEO that matters. In this research, CEO characteristics in terms of capabilities and skill or special knowledge necessary to run the business are invested for manufacturing firms. Precedent studies reveal that CEO characteristics such as psychological factors including desire to succeed, tendency to take risks, personal factors including age, year of running business, and task related factors including managing capability, communication skills, network influence firm performance for manufacturing firms. However, these studies simply verify whether or not those factors affect firm's managing performance. This study, however, goes further to investigate how is the affecting process from CEO's capabilities and organization characteristics to firm's core competence, and from core competence to advantages, and from advantages to managing performance. Research design, data, and methodology - We make a questionnaire and surveyed manufacturing firm CEO's in Gyeonggi-do area. General characteristics analysis, factor analysis, regression analysis, and control effect analysis was conducted. SPSS 2.0 Win, version was used. Results - The CEO characteristics including basic capability, task capability, leadership, and organization characteristics affect core competence at the statistically significant level. And, core competence affect both price advantage and differentiation advantage at the significant level. Some unique finding is that while differentiation advantage affects both financial achievement and non-financial achievement, price advantage does not affect both financial and non-financial achievement. And firm characteristics mainly measured by CEO characteristics of skills has control effects on the trace from core competence to price advantage. Conclusions - For small and medium sized firms CEO characteristics is the most important factor influencing firm's prosperity. For manufacturing firms, whether CEO has the skill or special knowledge to run the firm is critical factor. The study results show that CEO's for manufacturing firms put importance on price and price advantage which seems to be familiar to them. However, the price advantage does not influential to financial and non-financial achievement. This result suggests that small and medium sized manufacturing firms' CEO's should make effort to improve other aspects of advantages to be more competitive.

Rising to the occasion, the Korea Restaurant Industry needs change itscurrent modus operandi focusing on management skill improvement and globalizatin of its network. In Particular, they need to have their competity edge against multinational Restaurant brands both in local and overseas markets. To further develop the local industry, we need to work on the following areas. 1. Top management is required to show firm commitment to development of local brand that can be a real player in the global market. 2. To make any impact in the global market, a specific marketing strategy needs to be developed fit for each market. 3. To save initial investment expenditure, a close cooperation among local industries is prerequisite. 4. This study alms to analyze the entrepreneur characteristics of founder on enterprise performance from the strategic viewpoint as well as features of founder of small firms such as background feature of founder, psychological features and management skill. As considered by Background features of founder include educational background of founder, his experience in business creation, consultation or course related to business creation. This study verified the effects of factor which business performance (financial, non financial) on small firms. Also, this study considered psychological features of founder include achievement desire, risk-free propensity, level of patience on vagueness and control position. And it analyzed that between such factors and performance of small firms were examined in related. In the mean time, management ability of founder, entrepreneur ability, technical and function ability were considered for management skill of founder and alalyzed effect of the factors on performance of small firm were examined. Effects of strategic intention of founder of small firm were analyzed by the strategic viewpoint. At this time, strategy of small firm was divided into product-service reform differentiation strategy, marketing differentiation strategy and cost leadership strategy. This study distributed questionnaire on CEO of small firms in Daejeon and Chungnam area for accomplish the study objective and it collected a total of 145 copies of questionnaires. As a result of analyzing collected questionnaire, this study deduced the following study results and suggestions. First, results different from those of existing studies were found Since sales, net income and profit rate of small firm were not high cause economic depression on the whole. Second, entrepreneur ability was found to be required for success of business creation. Entrepreneur ability of founder was the factor that affects both financial and non - financial performance of small firm. As such, entrepreneur ability can be regarded as the most important factor for success in business creation of small firm. Accordingly, entrepreneur ability is the most important source for success in business creation of small firm. Third, strategy of small firm was found to be the important factor that affects the non-financial performance even if it could not give significant effects on financial performance. Thus, product service reform differentiation strategy, marketing differentiation strategy and cost leadership strategy have significant effects on non - financial performance of small firm. Accordingly, it is required to operate small firm with strategic mind - set for small firm to achieve success. This study analyzed the effects of feature of founder and strategy of small firm on business performance of small firm through practical analysis on small firms in Daejeon and Chungnam area, and deduced meaningful results. However, Since this study collected data on small firms in Daejeon and Chungnam only, there is a limit in generalizing the results of this study to all small firms in Korea. Companies answering to this questionnaire process were mainly wholesale and retail service companies. In addition, there is a limit in that it failed to analyze feature of representative type of industry due to limit in number of sample, it is required to divide representative type of industry and to compare and analyze types of industry in future studies.
The purpose of this study was to lay emphasis on the importance of a restaurateur's role and qualities as well as to provide the restaurateur information necessary to effectively run a restaurant. To address the purpose, this study analyzed the qualities of a restaurateur and determined the influence they have on the business results, via conducting a survey with 117 restaurateurs from June 11th to June 26th 2011. In summary, male restaurateurs were higher in the vision directivity, desire to learn, accomplishment, challenge and pro-activity than their female counterparts, with a significant difference of p<0.05. According to their ages, the surveyees showed significant differences in the vision directivity (p<0.05), desire to learn (p<0.01), challenge (p<0.01) and pro-activity (p<0.01). In addition, also the survey revealed that the qualities of a restaurateur had a significant influence on financial performance, a sense of satisfaction and business results (p<0.001). The questionnaire resulted in the following: first, the vision directivity (p<0.05) and the challenge (p<0.05) affected the financial performance; second, the challenge had influence on the sense of satisfaction; and last, the vision directivity (p<0.05) and the challenge (p<0.05) had an effect on the business results. Thus, the study concluded that restaurateurs need two qualities: (i) the vision directivity in order to meet their goals and to have a higher business results and (ii) the challenge to try new managing methods in order to cope with the ever-changing environment.
