The purpose of this paper is to examine the business performance difference based on the ownership structure type in the aspect of profitability and stability. In order to conduct this analysis in two aspects, the ship financial institutions have been classified into two groups: state-owned banks and private-owned banks. First of all, the difference of ROE and ROA between private and public ship financial institutions is statistically significant, but no difference has been shown in terms of stability measured through BIS capital adequacy ratio. Second, to test the business performance difference according to the ownership structure types before and after the global financial crisis, we examined the outcome difference in the ship financial institutions in terms of profitability and stability. However, in the event that the analysis was conducted with public and private financial institutions, the business outcome difference before and after the global financial crisis has been shown in the sector of private financial institutions, but has not been shown in the sector of public financial institutions. It is meaningful that this study is the first work which examined the difference of the operating performance by the ownership structure types of ship financial institutions. However, it is noted that small sample for this empirical study is a limitation of this thesis.

The aim of this research is to use a conceptual model to experimentally evaluate the mediating impact of government financial and training support on structural social capital and non-financial performance of family farms. Questionnaires were used to collect data from family farms in Guangxi, China, from August 25th to September 8th, 2021. There were 759 valid responses, accounting for 94.99 percent of the total number of respondents. The scales' reliability and validity, and the research's mediating effects and hypotheses, are tested using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 26.0. The findings suggest that the impact of government financial assistance on family farms' non-financial performance cannot be substantiated. The intermediary chain connection of financial and training support, on the other hand, has a significant mediating effect between structural social capital and family farm non-financial performance. Direct financial assistance could be thought to encourage family farms to rely too much on funding, making them less competitive in market competition, innovation, and long-term operations. According to the conclusions of the study, government assistance to family farms could take a variety of forms, including providing diversified skills training programs in farming practices, managerial skills, and other areas.

The purpose of this study was to substantially analyze the relation between the success factors of quality management and performance. For this purpose, the success factors of quality management - CEO's leadership, customer-centeredness, process management, training, full participation of employees, and relationship with vendors - were identified as independent variables and performance was identified as dependent variable to substantially analyze the automotive parts industry. In result, the findings can be summarized into the following: First, for the relation between the success factors of quality management and financial performance, CEO's leadership, customer-centeredness, training, and full participation of employees were statistically significant, but process management and relationship with vendors were not statistically significant. Second, for the relation between the success factors of quality management and non-financial performance, CEO's leadership, customer-centeredness, full participation of employees, and relationship with vendors were statistically significant, but process management and training were not statistically significant. Third, it was also found that, among the success factors of quality management, CEO's leadership, customer-centeredness, full participation of employee should be considered more than any other variables to achieve performance. Based on the above findings, it was concluded that 'CEO's leadership' and 'customer-centeredness' had an influence on both financial and non-financial performances and were relatively more influential than other individual factors.

The importance of social responsibility such as ethical management and social contribution activities is emphasized for the sustainable growth of companies. Although there is a great deal of research on corporate social responsibility due to the increase in social interest and expectation, most of them have been limited to research on general manufacturing industry. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of social responsibility activities on financial performance. In addition, we want to analyze the difference in the financial performance of companies with excellent social responsibility activities announced by the Institute of Economic Justice and others. The analysis period is from 2011 to 2016, and we analyze using the robust regression methodology which is relatively effective in solving the autocorrelation and this dispersion problem. First, it is proved that the higher the KEJI index, the more positive effect on financial performance. In addition, we found that there is a significant difference in the financial performance of companies with excellent social responsibility activities and those with other social responsibility activities. These results will have important implications for establishing a firm's financial strategy and will serve as useful information for the financial industry that is striving for sustainable management.

Apparel manufacturers and distributors in China participated in the study. Random sampling method was used to collect the data. Data from 173 questionnaires were used for the statistical analysis. Factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha coefficient, and regression analysis was conducted. Two factors of private Guanxi were classified(i.e., affective Guanxi, instrumental Guanxi). Three factors of organizational relationship type were identified(i.e., opportunistic relationship, cooperative relationship, vertical relationship). The result indicated that affective Guanxi in terms of private Guanxi positively affected on quality of organizational relationship. Cooperative relationship and vertical relationship in terms of organizational relationship positively affected on quality of organizational relationship. Affective Guanxi positively affected on non-financial performance and financial performance in terms of performance of distribution channel. Instrumental Guanxi in terms of private Guanxi positively affected on financial performance only. Cooperative relationship in terms of organizational relationship positively affected on non-financial performance and vertical relationship positively affected on financial performance. Quality of organizational relationship positively affected on non-financial performance and vertical relationship positively affected on financial performance.
The study investigated if IT investment in Korean financial markets for the past 18 years has grown following the s-curve pattern based on Nolan's growth model in order to find the correlation between IT investment and management performance in the financial industry. According to the research finding it can be said that the overall financial markets maintain s-curve pattern, and IT investment is related to management performance, particularly increase in total assets and net profit. However, each sector has defining features of growth patterns. The banking industry has grown similarly to the s-curve, and the insurance industry also shows the s-curve but it looks more like linear pattern. In terms of securities industry, its growth patterns can hardly be considered s-curve due to the irregular changes. his research outcome illustrates the analysis of IT growth patterns in the financial industry and thus, it is expected to be a useful reference when deciding the appropriate time for IT investment in the financial industry.

Though their activities, companies have an impact on environmental problems and nature conservation. The accounting sector can play a role in environmental conservation efforts related to environmental costs, and the implemention of the Corporate Sustainability Management System (CSMS) could be a key factor that can improve the company's financial performance. This study aims to determine how green accounting through the application of CSMS can improve the financial performance of manufacturing companies in Indonesia, a developing country. The sampling method used was purposive sampling, while the research sample consisted of 38 companies that had followed PROPER and were indexed on the IDX. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method known as the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The results of this study indicate that manufacturing companies in Indonesia are able to implement green accounting by allocating appropriate environmental costs by earmarking a portion to carry CSMS implementation so as to improve financial performance. People in Indonesia consider that manufacturing companies that have good company rankings in the evaluation program for company performance ratings in environmental management run by the Indonesian Ministry of Environment are in a position to generate customer loyalty, especially in financial performance.

Quality internal audit (IA) plays a crucial role in accountability, transparency and preserving public properties. This paper gives a brief background of the IA system in Yemen and examines its impact with regards to financial performance in Yemeni commercial banks based on five factors: (i) independence of IAs, (ii) adherence to IA standards, (iii) governance principles implementation, (iv) size of the IA, and (v) frequency of internal audits committees' meetings. The primary data for the study were collected through a questionnaire prepared for this purpose. Fifty questionnaires were distributed out of which forty-two were retrieved and valid in the analysis process. For the empirical analysis, descriptive analysis and T-test were used for verification of the research hypotheses. Results revealed that sticking to standards internal audit, internal auditors' independence and quality governance have significant impact on banks' financial performance, while the size of internal audits committees, as well as their meeting, frequently has insignificant positive impact on banks' performance. Moreover, the country results show that the use of automated internal audit in banks has an impact on improving financial performance. This article provides avenues for further studies, mainly in developing countries, including Yemen, in quality internal audit and financial performance.

Despite the relationship between cash flow, financial management, and project performance, no study examined the mediating role of financial management on the relationship between cash flow and construction project performance, especially in Kuwait. The goal of this study was to examine the impact of cash flow fluctuations on construction project performance, as well as the role of financial management in mediating this relationship. To accomplish these goals, the researcher employed a descriptive-analytical method to create a questionnaire of 31 items. The study's sample was chosen at random and includes (181) project managers and firm owners from contractors' companies in Kuwait. The study found a statistically positive and significant effect of cash flow variation on project performance from the perspective of Kuwaiti contractors at the significance level (0.05), as well as a mediated role of financial management in the relationship between cash flow variation and project performance. The research came up with a number of recommendations based on the findings, including the need for contractors to have a better understanding of cash flow to arrange project activities correctly and efficiently. Further studies may be included into the effect of cash flow forecasting (planning) and financial management (control) on various construction activities.
Purpose - This paper empirically investigates the relationship between born global strategy and the accounting- and market- based financial performance of Korean firms. Further, this study identifies the characteristics of born global firms (BGs) in comparison with non-BG counterparts in terms of size, R&D, and liability. Design/methodology - Using a database of listed Korean SMEs in the manufacturing sector from 2010 to 2020, this study applies panel generalized least squares (GLS) estimation and logistic regression techniques. Findings - This study finds that BG strategy is negatively related to the firm's accounting-based financial performance, while it is positively related to the market-based financial performance. This study also finds that BGs have higher sales volume and more total assets compared to their non-BG counterparts. In addition, Korean BGs spend more on R&D, and at the same time have higher liability. Originality/value - BGs, by definition, are firms that are actively penetrating foreign markets from the early stages of their establishment. Previous studies of Korean BGs have tried to identify the determinants of BGs' rapid internationalization and their superior performance. However, most of these studies have utilized either qualitative case- or survey-based analyses with relatively limited numbers of observations. From a different perspective, this study provides more objective evidence by investigating how the BG strategy affects the financial and market performance of firms, and by characterizing BGs in terms of financial data.
