The Solar and Space Weather Research Group (SOS) in Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) is constructing the Space Weather Prediction Center since 2007. As a part of the project, we are developing automatic real-time system of the global 3-D magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) simulation. The MHD simulation model of earth's magnetosphere is designed as modified leap-frog scheme by T. Ogino, and it was parallelized by using message passing interface (MPI). Our work focuses on the automatic processing about simulation of 3-D MHD model and visualization of the simulation results. We used PC cluster to compute, and virtual reality modeling language (VRML) file format to visualize the MHD simulation. The system can show the variation of earth's magnetosphere by the solar wind in quasi real time. For data assimilation we used four parameters from ACE data; density, pressure, velocity of solar wind, and z component of interplanetary magnetic field (IMF). In this paper, we performed some initial tests and made a animation. The automatic real-time system will be valuable tool to understand the configuration of the solar-terrestrial environment for space weather research.

Chaff is a kind of matter spreading atmosphere with the purpose of preventing aircraft from detecting by radar. The chaff is commonly composed of small aluminum pieces, metallized glass fiber, or other lightweight strips which consists of reflecting materials. The chaff usually appears on the radar images as narrow bands shape of highly reflective echoes. And the chaff echo has similar characteristics to precipitation echo, and it interrupts weather forecasting process and makes forecasting accuracy low. In this paper, the chaff echo recognizing and removing method is suggested using Bayesian network. After converting coordinates from spherical to Cartesian in UF (Universal Format) radar data file, the characteristics of echoes are extracted by spatial and temporal clustering. And using the data, as a result of spatial and temporal clustering, a classification process for analyzing is performed. Finally, the inference system using Bayesian network is applied. As a result of experiments with actual radar data in real chaff echo appearing case, it is confirmed that Bayesian network can distinguish between chaff echo and non-chaff echo.

Due to the demand for high speed 3D graphic rendering, video file format conversion, compression, encryption and decryption technologies, the importance of digital signal processor system is growing rapidly. In order to satisfy the real-time constraints, high performance digital signal processor is required. Therefore, as in general purpose computer systems, digital signal processor should be designed as multicore architecture as well. Using UTDSP benchmarks as input, the trace-driven simulation has been performed and analyzed for the 2 to 16-core digital signal processor architectures with the cores from simple RISC to in-order and out-of-order superscalar processors for the various window sizes, extensively.

In this paper, an intuitive emotional expression of the 3D avatar is presented. Using the motion selection control of 3D avatar, an easy-to-use communication which is more intuitive than emoticon is possible. 12 pieces different emotions of avatar are classified as positive emotions such as cheers, impressive, joy, welcoming, fun, pleasure and negative emotions of anger, jealousy, wrath, frustration, sadness, loneliness. The combination of lower body motion is used to represent additional emotions of amusing, joyous, surprise, enthusiasm, glad, excite, sulk, discomfort, irritation, embarrassment, anxiety, sorrow. In order to get the realistic human posture, BVH format of motion capture data are used and the synthesis of BVH file data are implemented by applying the proposed emotional expression rules of the 3D avatar.

Ed- the file appears to be corrupted, and in many sections (these are highlighted) I cannot read it. I presume it has been copied from another format, maybe Hangul 2004. The purpose of this study was to determine a method of make-up image extraction from specific paintings and also to create cyber make-up models according to the images. For this study, Georgia O'Keeffee's floral paintings were analyzed and their colors were compiled to make color palettes. This study attempted to approach floral image make-up which applies specific paintings through the digital mode in the manner of computer graphics. The results of this study were as follows: First, we found romantic images, including feminine, lovely and soft images by Y, GY and RP group colors, in 'Two Calla Lillies on Pink'. Second, we found modem images, including urban, up-to-date and cool images by G, GY and B group colors, in 'Blue and Green Music'. Third, we found sexy images, including brilliant, tempting and daring by R, B and G group colors, in 'Music-Pink and Blue'. To summarize, the images of the paintings were similar to those of the make-up models.

In this paper, we design and implement the iMPS(Integrated Project Management system). The iMPS is used in the performance evaluation which establishes the systematic management of support for Industry-Academy-Research Cooperation. The implemented iPMS mainly contain functions. First, the search function produces a report for result on the status of numerous projects and allows administrators to track project status in a excel file format. Second, the management function produces a performance evaluation, monitoring. Applying the iPMS to management of Busan-Ulsan Association of industry-academy cooperation, its usefulness is from the results of web service.

In recent days, research activities on multimedia services mainly focus on the multiplexing system with timing synchromization for media components, such as video, audio and text. The MPEG-4 standard emphasizes object-based coding which includes analysis and understanding of the Image content. Since in MPEG-4 we can define objects and encode them independently, we can manipulate and display each object for different applications. This feature of MPEG-4 is also vero useful for multimedia services, such as video streaming cia different network channels, digital versatile disc, internet TV, video E-mail, and so on. In this Paper, we implement a multimedia streaming system which is compliant with the MPEG-4 system and the MP4 file format.

Study related to a system that saves a n document, and to search is consisting actively and has a lot of cases to have left emphasis in the function that these systems efficiently save a XML document and can search. Also, It has a table or the storage structure which was especially designed in order to save a XML document and can save structure information of a document in addition to contents of a XML document together and can efficiently do content retrieval of a XML document or a structure search with an early base. As for this paper, a design implemented the data which the many different kinds of database that had currently used had with you so that did recycling and shared conversion and this XML file in Web, and output can become a XML format through various interrace.

In spite of the advance of 3D solid modeling technology, there are some distinct areas where 2D CAD S/W are still dominant, and more competent comparing with 3D CAD S/W. For example, in the manufacturing of 2D-shaped electrical parts, most related manufacturing tools have 2D geometric features by nature, and 3D solid models applied to these parts have substantial overheads. Nevertheless, most 2D CAD S/W have no topological inquiry services because they have no such information on their geometrical database inherently. Thus, it is needed to extract such information from 2D CAD database for developing more advanced application such as automated drafting/design S/W. In this paper, the extraction of topological information from 2D CAD has been performed in general way using concept of B-rep. A general extraction algorithm, data structure and meta file format for 2D topological object have been developed and successfully applied to the development of the automated lead frame die design system in Samsung Aerospace. it is also possible to provide a flexible, powerful topology-oriented functionality on any common 2D CAD S/W.

The necessity of computerizing the Central National Library of Korea has been widely recognized. The purpose of this research is to develop Korean Machine Readable Cataloging system as a first step toward an integrated library system and suggests the ways of utilizing the MARC file in Korean libraries as well as in the Central National Library. In this paper the following studies are included: 1. An analysis of the functions and current procedures of the Central National Library 2. Development of a standard record format for KOR MARC 3. Production and utilization of KOR MARC files 4. Identification of problems in developing KOR MARC system In conclusion, the following recommendations are made: 1. Standardization of the internal code and input/output equipments should be proceded for hangul and chinese data processing. 2. The libraries planning or having accomplished computerization process should be cooperative in standardizing and distributing bibliographic data bases including KOR MARC tapes. 3. Training of competent librarians and strong support from the government are required for a successful implementation of the Library's computerization project.
