인터넷을 이용한 분산제어 구현을 위한 네트워킹 (Internet-based Distributed Control Networks.)

  • Requirements for device networks differ greatly from those of data(business) networks. Consequently, any control network technology which uses a fieldbus protocol is, in general, different from IP network protocol TCP/IP. One needs to integrate fieldbus protocol and TCP/IP to realize distributed control over IP network or internet. This paper suggests a basic concept that can be applied to distributed control over IP network or internet. Specifically, LonWorks technology that uses LonTalk protocol is reviewed as device network. LonWorks technology provides networked intelligent I/O and controllers which make it a powerful, expandable solution. It is also addressed that many hardwired PLCs can be replaced by LonWorks devices. Connecting these remote LonWorks networks to the Internet can provide a powerful, integrated, distributed control system.

  • Nowadays, control systems consist of smart sensors, smart actuators, and controllers connected via fieldbus. Some devices such as motors in plant environments generate high degrees of EMI or noise. This noise may cause communication errors and make the successful transmission of data longer. Therefore, the noise condition has to be considered at the design of a reliable control system based on a network. This paper presents a scheduling method of task and message to guarantee the given end-to-end constraints under noise environments. A noise model with multi-sources of noise is used, and the analysis method of message's response time is presented when the noise model is applied to CAN (Controller Area Network). Two kinds of noise models are applied to an example system, and the effect to each control loop s end-to-end response time is analyzed. We believe that the proposed method help system designers design the control system guaranteeing its requirements under noise environment.

  • 산업용 네트워크의 발전으로 인하여, 기존의 필드버스의 대안으로 데이터 처리량 및 확장성이 뛰어난 표준 이더넷으로의 기술 이동이 가속화 되면서 이더넷 기반의 실시간 산업 필드버스 기술이 발전해오고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 범용 이더넷 기반의 주기, 비주기적 메시지에 대한 경성 실시간 통신을 만족하는 전송 모델을 제안하며, 각 메시지에 대한 스케쥴링 알고리즘을 제안한다.

  • The data link layer (DLL) of Foundation Fieldbus (FF) includes both token-passing and scheduling services. Periodic data are transmitted via the scheduling service, while time-critical and time-available data are transmitted via the token-passing service. This study developed a network interface board that implements the DLL of FF. Using the network interface board, this study experimentally evaluates the delay performance of the DLL of FF. This study measured the delay performance with respect to the change of the DLL parameters of FF, and investigated the relationship between the DLL parameters and network performance. The study also compared the experimental results with the results obtained from an analytical model.

  • As many sensors and actuators are used in various automated systems, the application of network system to real-time distributed control is gaining acceptance in many industries. In order to take advantages of the network technique. however, network implementation should be carefully designed to satisfy real-time constraints and to consider network delays. This paper presents the implementation of feedback control system in Profibus-DP. Profibus-DP is a type of fieldbus protocols that are specifically designed to interconnect simple devices with fast I/O data exchange. As feedback control in profibus-DP is implemented, Network delays is found with influence of system performance. We analyze network delays in Profibus-DP into 3 reasons - dead time in Profibus interface, protocol delay, delay by asynchronization. In order to compensate the network delays, we introduce control algorithms with time delay concept. The results show that network delay can be compensated.

  • 디바이스 네트워크에 요구되는 사양은 일반적인 데이터 네트워크와는 판이하게 다르다. 특히 필드버스 프로토콜을 사용하는 디바이스 네트워크 기술은 인터넷 프로토콜을 사용하는 네크워크와 다르다. 일반적으로, 인터넷 상에서 디바이스 네크워크를 구현하기 위해서는 필드버스 프로토콜을 인터넷 프로토콜(TCP/IP)와 결합할 필요가 있다. 또한 예방보전의 적용예에 있어서는 각 디바이스간의 호환성이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 웹기반 예방보전을 구현하고, 디바이스간의 호환성을 보장하기 위한 방법을 제안한다.

  • The real-time monitoring and controlling between the interior and the field signaling security devices is a necessity for the train safety in terms of the train operating plan. The type wiring lower the safety level of signaling security device, because too much wiring makes the maintenance more difficult and it might be have a problem of an induction field and contact. It also need high cost. The single network communication(Fieldbus) does not need that much wiring, and the maintenance will be easier. It also guarantee the high level of stability.

  • EIA-709.1 Control Network Protocol is the basic protocol of LonWorks systems that is emerg-ing as a fieldbus device. In this paper the protocol is implemented by using VHDL with FPGA and C program on an Intel 8051 processor. The protocol from the physical layer to the network layer of EIA-709.1 is im-plemented in a hardware level,. So it decreases the load of the CPU for implementing the protocol. We verify the commercial feasibility of the hardware through the communication test with Neuron Chip. based on EIA-709.1 protocol which is used in industrial fields. The developed protocol based on FPGA becomes one of IP can be applicable to various industrial field because it is implemented by VHDL.

  • With distribution industrial control system, the use of low cost to achieve a highly reliable and safe system in real time distributed embedded application is proposed. This developed intelligent node is based on two microcontrollers, one for the execution of the application code, also as master controller for ensuring the real time control & the logic operation with CPLD and other for communication task and the easy control execution, i.e., I/O digital input, digital output and interrupting. This paper also presents where the case NCS (Networked control system) with LonTalk protocol is applied for the filtration process control system of a small water treatment plant.

  • This study investigates the applicability and design scheme of fieldbus network in the measurement system used for precise and safe construction as well as efficient maintenance of bridges. In order to maximize the function and performance of bridge monitoring system, this study introduces the CAN(Controller Area Network), one of the fieldbus protocols, in the measurement system of bridges. This study presents the implementation method of CAN on the monitoring system of bridge, and also proposes a bandwidth allocation scheme for the design of network. The validity of the proposed CAN design method is verified through a simulation experiment. It is shown that the CAN can be readily applicable to the measurement system of bridges.
