  • In this paper, we described the software development for verifying the integrity of output data of TCP/IP for VLBI Correlation Subsystem (VCS) correlation block and proposed the performance improvement method in order to prevent the data loss of correlation output. The VCS correlation results are saved at the Data Archive system through TCP/IP packet transmission. In this paper, the integrity verification software is developed so as to confirm the integrity of correlation result saved at the data archive system using TCP/IP packet information of VCS. The 3-step integrity verification process is proposed by using the developed software, its effectiveness was confirmed in consequence of correlation experiments. In addition, TCP/IP packet transmission must be completed within minimum integration period. However, there is not only TCP/IP packet loss occurred but also the problem of correlation result integrity affected in account of a large quantity of packets and data during short integration time. In this paper, the reason of TCP/IP packet loss is analyzed and the modified methods for FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) of VCS are proposed, the integrity problem of correlation results will be solved.

  • We have conducted a verification test of correlation between bird community indices and bird sound recording results in order to use the equipment which deals with the automatic sound collecting system, the song meter. The study areas include four sites which are Gombaeryoung and Zochimryoung in Jeombongsan Mountain and Jookryoung and Gochiryoung in Sobaeksan National Park. We collected the bird sound data five times using a sound recorder and field survey results in the same place of the study site. As a result of the sound recording from the field survey, the species recorded by three researchers of sound analyst include common resident species or species which have a relatively conspicuous call and song. On the contrary, the species recorded by only one researcher are a relatively rare or inconspicuous species or was familiar with the personal experiences of each researcher. The number of species recorded by only one researcher totaled fourteen species (36.8 %), and that of two researchers totaled twelve species (31.6 %), and that of three researchers totaled twelve species (31.6 %). The correlations of the number of species among three researchers was not significant in some results, but the sum or maximum count of the number of species was useful to estimate a significant correlation between the result of researchers and the indices of field surveys. As a result of correlation analysis by using sound recordings, the maximum number of species among the three researchers significantly correlated with the number of species, the species diversity index and the species abundance index in the field survey at the same site, however it did not correlate with the number of individuals and species evenness index. As a result of sound analysis collected from the stationary sound recording system; song meter, the number of frequencies in bird songs and calls correlated with the number of species in the field survey at the same site. The number of calls and songs decreased as time went by. Finally, we could test the active time range and change the activity strength by using a sound recording system. In particular, that sound recording system is able to collect data in same time and site, so it is expected so that the equipment not only replenish a shortage of researchers and survey periods in field research in a short term monitoring survey, but also be able to acquire statistical objectivity.

  • The type approval system of the railway safety law, which was enforced in 2014, has been preferentially applied to the field of railway vehicles. The type approval system addresses railway vehicles and railway constituents. Unlike the previous system, it requires serial verification stages divided, in consecutive order, into verification of design compatibility and conformity and type test. These stages are in accord with international certification systems including TSI certification of the European commission. This study has been carried out to find and meet the design requirements for a coupler head, which is a part of the automatic coupler system; requirements were drawn from TSI and technical specifications that are subordinate to the domestic railway approval system. Through this study, it has been found that there exist 34 design requirements to acquire a complete coupler head. Among those requirements, 32 were verified by document inspection and two were able to be verified by performing FEA and gathering range analysis data.

  • A non-contact battery charger which transfers energy using magnetic field has a difficulty with a feed-back control due to the interaction between the power and signal processing This paper proposes an effective method which uses auxiliary windings of transformer as signal path and copes with cross-talk using the MOSFET ringing phenomenon and ceramic filter. The power stage is half-bridge series resonant converter. Design procedure and experimental verification are presented.

  • Fixed boundary MHD static equilibrium for the axisymmetric toroidal plasma is analyzed numerically. The Grad-Shafranov equation is solved using FFM. The toroidal current tenn is expressed by plasma pressure p($\psi$) and toroidal field function g($\psi$). The numerical results are compared to the Solovev analytic equilibrium for the verification of the analysis. For SNUT-79 tokamak device in Seoul National University, flux surfaces and toroidal current profiles according to the variation of p and g profiles are observed. Also the safety factor q and average beta are obtained.
