Neural Network Model-based Algorithm for Identifying Job Status in Block Assembly Shop for Shipbuilding (신경망 모델 기반 조선소 조립공장 작업상태 판별 알고리즘)

  • In the shipbuilding industry, since production processes are so complicated that the data collection for decision making cannot be fully automated, most of production planning and controls are based on the information provided only by field workers. Therefore, without sufficient information it is very difficult to manage the whole production process efficiently. Job status is one of the most important information used for evaluating the remaining processing time in production control, specifically, in block assembly shop. Currently, it is checked by a production manager manually and production planning is modified based on that information, which might cause a delay in production control, resulting in performance degradation. Motivated by these remarks, in this paper we propose an efficient algorithm for identifying job status in block assembly shop for shipbuilding. The algorithm is based on the multi-layer perceptron neural network model using two key factors for input parameters. We showed the superiority of the algorithm by using a numerical experiment, based on real data collected from block assembly shop.

  • This study aims at the contribution to introduction of facilities and planning for the promotion of the exchange between city and rural community and the promotion of the rural areas. In order to understand the object of the Setagaya Ward Health Village and the management and the effects of facilities, I investigated the documentation, field work and interviews with the persons related. The Setagaya Ward Health Village has been steadily managing the exchange base facilities and the special enterprises, and operating the manager and promotion committees for the projects. Consequently, many tourism facilities and new enterprises such as the Setagaya-Kawaba Corporation were established in the rural areas and they developed into an active region which has abundant jobs available and attracts about 700,000 visitors a year. In conclusion, it is important to make a main body to manage professionally the future plan of facilities which involve image of the regional future and conform to the law. And the facilities should contribute to the economic development of rural areas in consideration of the environment and culture.

  • Geological symbols are used for describing geological information. But it's not ease to represent them in commercial GIS s/w, because of their complexity and diversity. This study aims at developing the geological symbol mapping tool for representing geological symbol on user's geological information. Geological symbol mapping too is a web application which can handle SHP format and map geological symbols based on user's requests. It manages geological symbols and mapping codes and symbols are mapped within the geological boundary according to the corresponding non-spatial field that is a mapping code. The system has functions to upload a user's GIS file, and download the converted image file which is mapped geological patterns. The system displays converted images to be check mapping results. Because the symbols are simple bitmap files, user(system manager) can design and apply them rapidly without considering specific commercial S/W. Thus, it is expected that this system plays an important role to disseminate geological standards such as geological symbols. And the results of this study can be used for developing global geological symbols and applying them easily

  • This study is carried out for the fire safety of the factory building, the fire risk reduction measure in compliance with an example approached in fire risk reduction systematically, contribute to reduce the fire risk. The analytical fire risk process of discovering, identifying, estimating and evaluating risk and control measure as risk reduction measures are core concept, applies loss prevention with loss control techniques. The painting process in the workplace where the fire hazard and death accident accompanies coexists. Loss prevention problem of creation prevention of dangerous atmosphere at workplace is health and human services problem of normal circumstances, must be inspected with problem of combustible gases at the time of fire explosion. Static electricity measure accomplished the risk control process thoroughly as the fire risk reduction process model with the ignition sources measure which is presented. Fire risk from within organizing will be able to classify with each field by detailedly but risk treatment process will be able to apply basically all the same concept. Consequently about risk management example from before, this study is proposed risk management techniques that standardized rightly in the actual condition of organization with one plan, with discovery of fire risk, the feedback process in compliance with a fire risk reduction and the review which control the result is joint responsibility of engineer, technical expert and manager as part of safety management to practice with the fact must be supervised.

Design of controller for mobile robot in welding process of shipbuilding engineering

  • The present study describes the development of control hardware and software for a mobile welding robot. This robot is able to move and perform welding tasks in a double hull structure. The control hardware consists of a main controller and a welding machine controller. Control software consists of four layers. Each layer consists of modules. Suitable combinations of modules enable the control software to perform the required tasks. Control software is developed using C programming under QNX operating system. For the modularizing architecture of control software, we designed control software with four layers: Task Manager, Task Planner, Actions for Task, and Task Executer. The embedded controller and control software was applied to the mobile welding robot for successful execution of the required tasks. For evaluate this imbedded controller and control software, the field tests are conducted, it is confirmed that the developed imbedded controller of mobile welding robot for shipyard is well designed and implemented.

  • Rotating machine is used extensively and plays important roles in the industrial field. Therefore when rotating machine get out of order, it is necessary to know reasons then deal with the troubles immediately. So many studies far diagnosis of rotating machine are being done. However by this time most of study has an interest in gaining a high recognition But without considering error $rate^{(1)(2)(3)}$ , it is not desirable enough to apply h the actual application system. If the manager of system receives the result misjudging the condition of rotating machine and takes measures, we would lose heavily. So in order to play the creditable diagnosis, we must consider error rate. T h ~ t is. it must be able to reject the result of misjudgment. This study uses nearest neighbor classifier for diagnosis of rotating $machine^{(4)(8)}$ And the Smith's rejection $method^{(1)}$ used to recognize handwritten charter is done. Consequently creditable diagnosis of rotating machine is proposed.

The Competency and Qualifications for Mid-managers in Hospitals (병원경영 전문인력에게 요구되는 역량 및 자격)

  • Despite of increasing importance of management in healthcare administration and demand for the professional managers in hospitals, there have been few studies on the issues of competencies and qualifications of mid-managers for effective role performance. This article uses hospital mid-managers' judgements to discuss them in Korean hospital settings. Based on 67 questionnaires completed through the mail survey, the data were analyzed by chi-square test, t-test, ANOVA, and logistic regression. The result shows that knowledge of management skills in healthcare field is the most necessary area in general. Specifically, 'problem-solving ability' is the most important competency, followed by communication and planning capabilities. The mid-managers tend to consider the hospital employment history more important than the academic level. They also present the willingness to recruit the candidates with bachelor degrees rather than those with master or Ph.D. degrees. It is suggested that the candidate with bachelor degree and hospital employment over 6 to 10 years is the most qualified for a mid-manager in hospitals. The study results presented in the paper will provide the direction to improve the educational program and also the insights toward a advising strategy for job consultation for students majored in health service administration.

The Family Satisfaction of Business-Owning Families

  • This paper expands empirical research on family satisfaction by introducing the family APGAR scale, developed and validated in the field of nursing, to measure the satisfaction of business-owning families and applying the Stafford et al.(1999) model of sustainable family businesses to the assessment of family satisfaction. More specifically, this study compares the differences in the effects of business- and family-related variables on family satisfaction for the families of lifestyle business owners and earner business owners. The sample was drawn from the 1997 National Family Business Survey. The family satisfaction was greater for the families of lifestyle business owners, but the family variables made a greater contribution to the explanation of variance in the satisfaction of families of earner business owners. The regression equation explained a higher percentage of the variance for the families of earner business owners. Nine family variables were significant in the satisfaction equation for earner business owners, in contrast to seven significant family variables in the equation for lifestyle business owners. Structured families had a significant positive effect on the satisfaction of lifestyle business owners. The family manager's education, putting the family first rather than the business, and the family management score had significant effects on the satisfaction of earner business owners.

This study focus on the establishment and proposal of the efficient management plan of family restaurant industry's worker by the result which was analyzed statistically. In the side of employee's management, It will have to try to become accomplished a policy of public welfare possible to understand and the both direction communication that it will be able to understand with each other to understand. Also the possibility of incentive in order to be, must endeavor as continuation of the holiday duration when is not the money compensation which is simple even from compensation dimension, the holiday system which is various. In the side of employee's development training as providing the chance possibility of ability development there is a possibility where a satisfaction the business enterprise of family restaurant industry's worker will lead and occupation it will feel and the continuous training against the field which the oneself inside the store is keeping it leads and the knowledge. In the conclusion, the study of the human resources and the efficient human resources who is the possibility the manager and worker for being satisfactory should be go on.
