Magnetic field has been used to hold plasma at high temperature for a long time. Reverse field has shown unstable process. Using ratio frequency, the author could control the instability of the process and formed a stable erversed field.

In this study radio rotatiing field is used in order to form the stable reversed field configuration. The experimental study removing the flux conserving ring not so as to conserve toroidal flux, it was found that there occurred a rapid formation of a stable reversed field configuration, in which toroidal flux was increased shaping reversed field configuration and F-$\Theta$ locus traced close to BFM because it started below F value.

In this paper, we proposed trench field ring for breakdown voltage of power devices. The proposed trench field ring was improved 10% efficiency comparing with conventional field ring. we analyzed five parameters of trench field ring for design of trench field ring and carried out 2-D devices simulation and process simulations. That is, we analyzed number of field ring, juction depth, distance of field rings, trench width, doping profield. The proposed trench field ring was better to more 1000 V.

A Reversed Field Pinch(RFP) Plasma automatically forms the reversed field configuration in a stable state by the self-reversal phenomenon. But this process of formation of the reversed field configuration has a problem that instabilities occur. In order to form a RFP configuration in a stable state by removing instabilities, this experimental study attempts to restrain Toroidal magnetic fields and supplement Toroidal flux by employing high frequency rotating fields. As a result, the reversed magnetic field configuration is stably formed in a short period because high frequency rotating fields can deflect poloidal currents and produce magnetic fields in the Toroidal direction.

Axial magnetic field generated by special electrode construction in vacuum interrupters is used to extinguish electric plasma arcs. This investigation by FDM should prove to what extent the magnetic field might influence on the arc expansion. The calculated results show that the stronger magnetic field induced the lesser radius of arc plasma. This study will help to offer good data in design of vacuum interrupters.

This paper describes the generation region and suppression effect of the abnormal field voltage induced when the synchronous generator is switched to the infinite bus, the critical value of negative field current is calculated by simmulation which has parameters of the phase difference and voltatge ratio between the bus and the generator. The suppression effect of discharge resistance connected in parallel with the field circuit is also investigated. According to this study, the optimal value of discharge resistance which can suppress effectively the abnormal field voltage may be calculated.

In the study in which magnetic flux was conserved by the flux conserving ring, it was found that the field configuration produced by providing radio field was unstable, and the reserved field configuration was not because the instability could not be controlled not be controlled when MHD instability of plasma become high.

The glass-to-glass electrostatic bonding process in vacuum environment was developed and the tubeless-packaged FED was fabricated based on the bonding process. The fabricated tubeless-packaged FED showed stable field emission characteristics and potential applicability to the FED tubeless packaging and vacuum in-line sealing.

There is a proverb in Korea "Don't chase after another." It can be a right proverb in sometimes. However, usually it doesn't fit in these various society, information knowledge society. Modern society requires convergence technology. IBS (Intelligent Building System) requires knowledge of architecture field, electric field, communication field, and computation field. ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) which is constructing in many cities requires various knowledge as engineering works, electricity, computation, communication and transportation. In the case of u-City, it requires technology of many fields as architecture, electricity, communication, engineering works, transportation, and computation. Anyone who wants to participate in u-City should study and acquire knowledge in various field. Otherwise, it must be failed because of lack of communication like as the Tower of Babel. U-City is not a portion of one field. Therefore, engineers in many fields should cooperate with each other to make u-city as the best product in the world.
