In the present study, The characteristics of developing steady laminar flows of a straight duct connected to a $180^{\circ}$ curved duct were examined In the entrance region through experimental measurement. Flow characteristics such as shear stress distributions, pressure distributions and friction coefficient experimentally in a square cross-sectional straight duct by using the PIV system. For the PIV measurement by particles produced from mosquito coils particles. The experimental data were obtained at 9 points dividing the test sections by 400mm. Experimental results can be summarized as follows. Critical Reynolds number, $Re_{cr}$ which indicates transition from laminar steady flow to transition steady flow was 2,150. Shear stress per unit length on the wall was stronger than that in the fully developed flow region. This was attributed to the fact that shear stress and pressure loss in the curvature of a duct were increased. Pressure distributions were gradually decreased irrespective of Reynolds number In the whole test section. This trends were in a good agreement with the reference results. Pipe friction coefficient in the steady state flow region was calculate from method of least squares. The co-relationship between fiction coefficient and Reynolds number was established as follow; ${\lambda}=56/Re$.

There is a growing interest in user-centered classification or reader-interest classification, as questions have arisen from the meanings and the effects of traditional library classification. American public libraries have used fiction genre classification called bookstore model as an alternative to the traditional classification schemes. As a result, accessibility to the collection was promoted and library service for their users was improved. This study intends to make a comprehensive inquiry about the philosophical background and functional features of genre classification. To the end, literature survey and interviews or e-mails with librarians in American public libraries were conducted.

The fashion advertisement is communication method between clothing and consumer. The development of mass communication accelerated that In modern society Post-modernism advertisement is a specialized and separated from so it confuses the consumers who are used in traditional AD. The peculiarities (non-form, destruction of description, compound of genre, mixing of reality and fiction) are more reflected in fashion advertisement. The sample consisted of 425 mail and female and the results were analyzed using frequency and percentage calculation Close tabs T-Test Oneway Anova Factor analysis Chi-square Test, Regression, Correlation Analysis. The result of this study were as follows: The post-modernism fashion ad is the separated and reflected from for young age's favorite. By the factor analysis of consumer response in each 5 emotional factors proved to be valid ones(fine, negative, sexual, stimulative, constructive aspects.) The fine and negative aspects of the factors are very concerned with the consumer's favorite attitude of fashion ad. There is no significant difference in age job but sex has a significant difference. In according to the method of the ad expression consumer's acceptance is difference in sex. There were no significant concern with excess effects and purchase intend in fashion advertisement.

Objectives: We intended to know the total health state and suggest basic result for good health management of oriental medical university student by examining Sasang constitution and health degree(THI: Todai Health Index). Methods: We diagnosed Sasang constitution using QSCC II and also estimated health degree using THI. We recruited the student of 9 universities and analyzed. Results 1. The score of psychiatric health was higher than physical one. 2. Degree of health state of Soeumin was worse than Taeumin in category of Digestive(p=0.015) and Irregular life (p=0.002) and worse than Taeumin and Soyangin in Nervousness(p=0.000), Mental Irritability(p=0.000) and Depression(p=0.007). 3. Soyangin was worse than Soeumin and Taeumin in Fiction(p=0.000). 4. Aggressiveness showed a tendence of increase in order Taeumin, Soyangin, and Soeumin. Conclusions : The oriental medical student of university needed health management focusing on psychiatric health aspect rather than physical one. And there exist the difference of health problem according to Sasang constitution. So the student should have deal with health management efficiently according to that.

In this study, friction tests were carried out in order to investigate the friction behavior of textured surface in unlubricated state using ball-on-disk type apparatus. Test specimens were SUJ2 bearing steel ball and SM45C steel disk. Square arrays of circular micro-dimples were created on the surface of disk specimen by Nd:YAG Laser. Friction tests were performed for the disk specimen with various micro-dimple parameters and was also conducted for the variation of normal loads and relative velocities. The results showed that fiction coefficient of textured surface was lower than that of non-textured surface and the deeper depth of micro-dimple was, the lower friction coefficient obtained at the same diameter of micro-dimple in unlubricated state. Area density of micro-dimple had an effect on the friction coefficient. It was also found that friction coefficient generally decreased with the increase of normal load and relative velocity.

Structures with additional frictional damping system have strong nonlinearity that the dynamic behavior is highly affected by the relative magnitude between frictional force and excitation load. In this study, normalized response spectra of the structures with non-dimensional friction force are obtained through nonlinear time history analyses of the mass-normalized single degree of freedom systems using 20 ground motion data recorded on rock site. The variation of the control performance of frictional damping system is investigated in terms of the dynamic load and the structural natural period, of which effects were not considered in the previous studies. Least square curve fitting equations are presented for describing those normalized response spectrum and optimal non-dimensional friction forces are obtained for controlling the peak displacement and absolute acceleration of the structure based on the derivative of the curve-fitted design spectrum.

The paper introduces the research area of interactive information retrieval (IIR) from a historical point of view. Further, the focus here is on evaluation, because much research in IR deals with IR evaluation methodology due to the core research interest in IR performance, system interaction and satisfaction with retrieved information. In order to position IIR evaluation, the Cranfield model and the series of tests that led to the Cranfield model are outlined. Three iconic user-oriented studies and projects that all have contributed to how IIR is perceived and understood today are presented: The MEDLARS test, the Book House fiction retrieval system, and the OKAPI project. On this basis the call for alternative IIR evaluation approaches motivated by the three revolutions (the cognitive, the relevance, and the interactive revolutions) put forward by Robertson & Hancock-Beaulieu (1992) is presented. As a response to this call the 'IIR evaluation model' by Borlund (e.g., 2003a) is introduced. The objective of the IIR evaluation model is to facilitate IIR evaluation as close as possible to actual information searching and IR processes, though still in a relatively controlled evaluation environment, in which the test instrument of a simulated work task situation plays a central part.

Governing equations and numerical solution methods are derived for the analysis of a combination-type-staggered-labyrinth seal used in high performance steam turbines. A bulk flow is assumed for each combination-type-staggered-labyrinth cavity. Axial flow through a throttling labyrinth strip is determined by Neumann's leakage equation and circumferential flow is assumed to be completely turbulent in the labyrinth cavity. Moody's wall-friction-factor formula is used for the calculation of wall shear stresses. For the reaction force developed by the seal, linearized zeroth-order and first-order perturbation equations are developed for small motion near the centered position. Integration of the resultant first-order pressure distribution along and around the seal defines the rotordynamic coefficients of the combination-type-staggered-labyrinth seal. Theoretical results of leakage and rotordynamic characteristics for the IP4-stage seal of USC (ultra super critical) steam turbine are shown with the effect of sump pressure, the number of throttling labyrinth strip, and rotor speed.
