보건교사의 서번트 리더십, 학생의 자기효능감, 건강증진행위에 대한 청소년의 인식과 변인 간의 관계 (A Study on the Perception of Youth about Health Teacher's Servant Leadership, Student's Self-efficacy, and Health Promoting Behavior, and the Relationship among the Variables)

  • Purpose: Maintaining a lifelong health is very important. The purpose of this study is to know the perception of youth about health teacher's servant leadership, student's self-efficacy, and health promoting behavior, and the relationship among the variables. Methods: This study used surveys of health teacher's servant leadership, student's self-efficacy, and health promotion behaviors. The subjects were 1,286 elementary, middle and high school students. PASW Statistics 18.0 was used in the data analysis. Percentage, mean and standard deviation, t-test, and ANOVA test were used to compare the difference of the health teacher's servant leadership, student's self-efficacy, and health promotion behavior according to the background variables of the subject. Results: There was a statistically significant difference in the perception of youth about health teacher's servant leadership, student's self-efficacy, and health promotion behaviors according to school level, establishment type, and grade. There was also a statistically significant difference in the perception of youth about student's self-efficacy and health promotion behaviors between male and female student. In addition, student's self-efficacy serves as a positive mediator to the effects of health teacher's servant leadership on student's health promoting behavior. Conclusion: Based on these results, it needs to implement the human resources and policy support for the systematic health education of elementary, middle, and high schools, the development of the program for the teacher's servant leadership, and the health promotion of students in curriculum.

수원지역 중학교 1학년생의 성별에 따른 식행동과 건강행동 비교 (The Gender Comparison of Dietary and Health Behavior of First Grade Middle School Students in Suwon Gyeonggi, Korea)

  • From the onset of puberty or during its progress, eating and health behaviors are important in establishing optimum growth and healthy fitness in middle school students. This study investigated the dietary and health behavior of first grade middle school students(male 260, female 255) selected from 3 middle schools in Suwon. Results were analyzed using the statistical program(SAS ver. 8.1). Usual dietary habits were scored by the Likert scale of 5 points and obtained the mean and standard deviation. Obtaining significant gender difference, chi-square and student t-test were also done. Daily breakfast intake was 70% of all students but some of them ate alone(27.3%). The amount of food intake was slightly less(34.8%) but sufficient food for dinner(53.2%). The purpose of each meal was solving hunger(57.4%). However, they want to change their current eating habits because of an unbalanced diet. Usual dietary habits were similar in gender, but 'apply nutrition knowledge' and 'consider food combination' were better in female students (p<0.01), 'regular meals' were higher in males(p<0.01). With respect to health behavior, the subjects went for daily walks for less than an hour(39.9%) and got 7-8 hours of sleep per day(33.8%). The amount of sleep was sufficient(22.6%) in males but in insufficient (33.8%) in female students(p<0.01). Weight control efforts for reducing(female 27.5% male 20.8%) and for increasing(male 10.6%) differed according to gender(p<0.01). As the result of the above analyses, the direction of nutrition education would be oriented to the nutrition knowledge and food combination applying to the diets of male students and regular meals for females. And also sleep dissatisfaction needs to be altered with taking care weight control trials.

서울 지역 일부 중학생들의 청국장 제품의 이용 실태 및 기호도 조사 (The Study on the Consumption and the Preference of Chungkukjang Products among Middle School Students in Seoul)

  • This study was performed to investigate the consumption and the preference of chungkukjang products among the middle school students. The subject were 538 middle school students(male 283, female 255) in $3^{th}$ grade, and were asked to fill out the questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by SAS package. The result showed that most students knew about traditional chungkukjang(88.5%) and chungkukjang powder(68.2%), but only 43.5% and 29.4% of the respondents knew about raw chungkukjang and chungkukjang pill, respectively. When asked how often they eat chungkukjang products, traditional chungkukjang were taken often, but chungkukjang powder, raw chungkukjang and chungkukjang pill were shown to be taken relatively less. Over 60% of the students responded that they liked chungkukjang products, because of 'encourage by parents' and 'good for health', but there was no statistical difference by gender. When asked about the reasons for the dislike of the chungkukjang products, male students responded 'bad smell'of traditional chungkukjang, while female students 'eplied' not eating at home'. The students disliked the chungkukjang powder, chungkukjang pill and raw chungkukjang because of 'not knowing it.' These results showed that the social interest and support for the chungkukjang products were necessary and there was a need to advertise the chungkukjang products.

대구시 일부지역 중학생들의 건강관련 위험행동과 관련요인조사 (Youth Risk Behavior Survey of Middle School Students in Daegu Metropolitan City)

  • This research was conducted to understand and analyze the health-related behaviors of middle school students and get fundamental research data essential to provide efficient student guidance and public health service at school. The interview using Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System(YRBSS). Translation and modification for Korean students of the YRBS. The Korean version of YRBS(Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System) that translation and modification for Korean students of the YRBS developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC)was used to assessment to health-related behaviors of youth. The interviewees were 1040 enrolled students at middle school in Daegu metropolitan city. YRBSS monitors six categories of priority health behaviors among youth and young adults behaviors that contribute to unintentional and intentional injuries; tobacco use; alcohol and other drug use, sexual behaviors that contribute to unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases(STDs)(including human immunodeficiency virus infection); unhealthy dietary behaviors; and physical activity. The result shows that over 30% of students rarely or never used safety belt and almost students were rarely or never wore a bicycle helmet. During the 12 months preceding the survey, 21.9% female students had felt so sad or hopeless almost every day for $\geq$ 2weeks in a row that they stopped doing some usually activities 20.5% of male middle school students have ever tried cigarette smoking. 26.2% of male students and 27.2% do female students had had over one drinks of alcohol during their lifetime(lifetime alcohol use). 47% of male students had had over one drinks of alcohol on $\geq$ 1 of the 30 days preceding the survey(current alcohol use). Over one half of female student were thought they were overweight. These results suggest that some risk behaviors be very prevalent in a korean middle school students and priority health-risk behaviors, which contribute to the leading cause of mortality and morbidity among youth and adult, often are establish during middle school age, extend into adulthood, are interrelated. Among both children and adults, the leading causes of death are closely linked to these behaviors. Among adults, chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diabetes are the national leading killers. Practicing healthy behaviors, such as eating low-fat, high-fruit-and-vegetable diets, getting regular physical activity, and refraining from tobacco use, would prevent many premature deaths. Because health-related behaviors are usually established in childhood, positive choices need to be promoted before damaging behaviors are initiated or become ingrained.

질량중심 및 압력중심을 이용한 여자 중학생의 하이클리어 동작 비교 분석 (Comparative analysis of high-clear motion of female middle school student using COM and COP parameter)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 배드민턴 여자 중학생 전문선수(10명)와 방과 후 배드민턴 수업에 참여하는 일반학생(10명)의 하이클리어 동작 시 COM과 COP의 수평거리, 그리고 COM과 COP의 이동패턴의 차이를 비교 분석하는데 있다. 두 그룹 간 하이클리어 스트로크 이후 착지 시점(E4)에서 COM과 COP의 X축과 Y축에서의 수평거리와 백스윙, 포워드스윙, 스윙전체의 X축, Y축, 그리고 Z축에서 COM의 최대이동범위의 차이를 비교하기 위해 독립표본 T-test를 실시한 결과, 첫째, 하이클리어 스트로크 임팩트 이후 착지 시점(E4)에서 여자 중학생 전문선수는 전후방향(X축)에서 COM와 COP지점이 일반학생에 비해 매우 가깝게 위치하였다. 둘째, 전문선수는 COM의 수직움직임, 일반선수는 COM의 수평움직임을 적극적으로 활용하였다.

서울지역 중학생의 BMI에 따른 영양소 섭취실태와 체력에 관한 연구 (Nutrient Intakes and Physical Fitness by BMI among Middle School Students in Seoul)

  • Proper nutrient intakes and physical fitness focus one's attention on health promotion. This study was conducted to investigate nutrient intakes and physical fitness by BMI in middle school students. Health-related questionnaire, dietary intakes, food frequency questionnaire and physical fitness were studied. There were no significant differences in health-related questionnaire, food frequency questionnaire and physical fitness by BMI, but several nutrition intakes, preference of salty tastes and the proportion of iron deficiency of female students were significantly different by BMI. Although the female obese group (BMI 85 - 100 percentile) had decreased the proportion of iron deficiency and increased fish intake frequency than other groups, obese females did not show better physical fitmess than other groups. And the average Ca intake was below $75\%$ of Korean RDA in both male and female students. Significantly positive correlation was found between calorie intake and push-up of normal (BMI 15 - 84 percentile) male students (r = 0.29), also significantly negative correlation was found between protein intake and 50m dash of normal female students (r = 0.22). And significantly positive correlation was found between beans and bent knee sit-up of normal male students (r = 0.25), and significantly positive correlations were found between beans, meat, eggs, green & yellow vegetable and sit and reach (r = 0.20, r = 0.28, r = 0.21, r = 0.19) and significantly negative correlation was found between beans and long distance race of normal female students. Therefore, this study suggests that proper nutrition and non-obese states should be achieved for health promotion in middle school students.

중학생의 학교 우유 급식 실태 및 만족도 조사 (Survey of Middle School Students' Intake of Milk and Satisfaction with School Milk Program)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the consumption of milk, along with satisfaction for improvement of the school milk program in middle school. The subjects were 447 middle school students(265 male, 182 female) in the Gyeonggi area, whowere asked to fill out the questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by a SAS package. The results showed that 53.2% of the subjects were participating in the school milk program. Regarding the frequency of milk consumption, 77.7% of students reported daily milk consumption and 65.3% of students reported they drank milk when it was available. 56.8% of the students responded that they were satisfied with the school milk program. Male students not participating in the school milk program cited the reason as "eating at home", while non-participating female students cited the reason as "tasteless". When asked whether they accepted or rejected the school milk program, male students(97.7%) and female students(97.8%) answered "it should be executed". To improve the school milk program, most of the students(72.2%) stated that "it should be selected among flavored milk(strawberry, banana, chocolate, black bean, and husked rice milk) instead of white milk". Therefore, in order to increase the intake of milk, the students should develop the habit of drinking milk to gain the attention of parents. Also, schools should attempt to help through offering proper dietary education.

우리나라 중학생들의 환경 영역 성취도 국제 비교 분석 (An Analysis of Korean Middle School Student Achievement in Environmental Science in TIMSS 2003)

  • 이 연구에서는 우리나라 중학생들의 TIMSS 2003환경 영역 성취도의 국제 수준을 파악하고, 환경 영역의 주제가 의도한 교육과정과 실행된 교육과정에 포함된 정도를 국제 비교하며, 성취도 결과를 주제별, 문항 유형별, 인지 영역별로 분석하고, 우리나라 학생들의 정답률과 국제 평균 정답률의 차이가 큰 문항과 남 여학생의 정답률 차이가 큰 문항을 분석하였다. TIMSS 2003에서 우리나라 중학생들은 환경 영역에서 544점으로 4위를 기록하였다. 교육과정 비교 결과에서 TIMSS 2003에 참여한 대부분의 국가에서 8학년까지 과학과 교육과정에 환경 영역 주제가 일부 또는 3 가지 모두 포함되어 있는 반면에, 우리나라의 경우 환경 영역의 세 주제 모두 의도한 교육과정에 포함되어 있지 않았다. 환경 영역에서 우리나라 학생의 평균 정답률은 51.7%로 국제 평균 정답률 38.7%보다 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 주제, 문항 유형, 인지 영역별 정답률을 비교하면, '천연 자원의 이용과 보존' 주제에서, 선택형 문항에서, '사실적 지식'에 해당되는 문항에서 정답률이 더 높게 나타났고, 남학생의 성취도가 여학생의 성취도보다 유의하게 더 높았다. 문항을 분석한 결과, 우리나라 학생들은 자유반응형 문항, 과학 수업에서 학습하지 않은 내용이거나 과학과 기술의 이용 방법과 영향을 서술하는 문항 등에 대해서 어려움을 겪는 것으로 나타났고, 산성비, 지구온난화, 오존층 파괴 등의 환경 문제에 대한 이해가 명확하지 않았다. 그리고 여학생틀의 경우 환경 관련 개념과 자료 해석 능력이 상대적으로 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과에 근거하여 우리나라 과학과 교육과정에 환경 관련 주제를 적극적으로 도입하되 그 시기를 앞당기고, 학생틀이 환경 문제의 원인, 현상, 대책 등을 명확하게 이해하고 과학과 기술의 긍정적 부정적 측면을 인식하도록 안내할 필요가 있음을 제안하였다.

청소년의 피임 실천과 영향 요인 (Contraceptive practice and influencing factors of adolescents)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify the current status of contraception use and analyze factors affecting contraception use among Korean adolescents. Methods: This cross sectional study used secondary data from the 2013 Adolescent Health Behavior Online Survey (KYRBS), which included a nationally representative sample of middle and high school students. A total of 3,475 adolescents who had experienced sexual intercourse were included in the study. Results: Almost 4.8% of total adolescents experienced sexual intercourse. Only 26.8% of them had sex with contraception. The significant predictors related to contraception use were as follows: sexual intercourse experience after drinking (OR=2.02) and living with mother (OR=3.00) for male middle school student, first intercourse experience (OR=2.04) for female middle school students, and first intercourse experience (OR=1.59) and intercourse experience after drinking (OR=0.56) for male high school students. On the other hand, there were no predictors for female high school students. Conclusions: Development and application of effective strategies according to gender and school level are needed to increase contraception rate of adolescents.

경기지역 중학생의 학교급식 잔반량에 따른 식생활 및 영양지수 평가 (Evaluation of Dietary Habits and Nutrition Quotient Scores according to Leftover Food during School Meal Service among Middle School Students in Gyeonggi)

  • This study examined the dietary habits and nutrition quotient (NQ) scores according to leftover food during school meal services among middle school students in the Gyeonggi region. A survey on the dietary habits was conducted among 405 male and female middle school students located in Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province. The amount of leftover food in the school meals was surveyed using the visual method through a questionnaire over two days. The survey was conducted from July 8, 2019, to July 12, 2019. After calculating the average total leftovers of each student over the two days, they were categorized into the following three groups: the top third was the large leftover group. The middle third was the medium leftover group, and the lower third was the small leftover group. The characteristics of the groups that had leftovers were analyzed. Female, normal-weight, and underweight students accounted for a greater proportion of the large leftover group than male, overweight, and obese students. The rates of selective eating and compliance with new food intake were significantly lower in the large leftover group than in the small leftover group. A comparison of the nutrition quotient for the adolescent (NQ-A) scores of each group revealed significantly lower scores of the large leftover group for all factors (balance, moderation, food diversity, practice, and environment) than the small leftover group. Therefore, there are statistically significant differences in the dietary habits, nutritional quality, and eating behaviors of middle school students that are associated with the amount of leftover food during school meals.
