The purpose of this study is to offer basic data to manufacture superior girdle, by finding out wearing effect and wearing comfort after select high-functional Girdle and usual girdle on the market, and by analyzing the features of superior girdle in wearing effect and comfort. The results of this research are as follows : 1. As a result of surveying on the wearing feeling of girdle, the tightening effect of high-functional girdle was high. In particular. high-functional long type girdle was excellent as for tightening thigh, but usual girdle was excellent as for general comfortable feeling. In the Questions for comparison and evaluation, the frequency of high-functional long type girdle was highest. 2. As a result of examining the wearing comfort and effect of girdle by each type, the wearing effect of high-functional long type girdle was superior, and the wearing feeling of high-functional long type girdle was higher relatively than that of other types. But, from questions on comfortable feeling, the wearing feeling of usual long type girdle was superior. Generally, the wearing feeling and effect of high-functional long type girdle were superior, since the abdomen was pressed by high-waist type hard material and increased functionality such as attaching treatment to support hip and double treatment to tighten a thigh.

The main purpose of the study were to investigate a selection motive of clothing and feeling of wearing of Korean junior, high school & university students. The results were as follows; 1. For underwear, the body appearance and hygienical aspect were shown as important factors in a selection motive of clothing. And the property matter and hygienical aspect were shown as important factors in the feeling of wearing. 2. For outwear, a functionality and the psychological aspect were shown as important factors in a selection motive of clothing. And a exercise and psychological aspect were shown as important factors in the feeling of wearing. 3. For pants, the functionality was shown as an important factor in a selection motive of clothing and the exercise aspect was shown as an important factors in the feeling of wearing. For skirt. the psychological aspect was shown as an important factor in a selection motive of clothing and feeling of wearing. 4. The hygienical aspect was shown as an important factor in a selection motive and the feeling of wearing of clothing for comfort.

This study has investigated improvement points of existing products by analyzing problems of horseback riding pants sold in market and by investigating wearing feeling of horseback riders. The purpose of this study is to suggest horseback riding pants which fit to body types of Korean adult women and also have improved functionality by reflecting findings of the study. The contents of this study is believed to suggest useful results on improvement of horseback riding pants sold in market; (1) By visiting hands-on experiencing horseback riding facilities, questionnaire investigation was carried out and we find problems of existing horseback riding pants. (2) Materials, designs and patterns of products sold in market are analyzed for improvement of horse-riding pants appropriate for Korean adult women body types. (3) Based on the results of previous analysis, this study was investigated wearing satisfaction after manufacturing improved horseback riding pants. As results of investigating wearing feeling for products manufactured with pattern designs reflecting the analysis result of existing horseback riding clothes as well as wearing feeling of horseback riders, it was possible to prevent wounds of bodies after horseback riding and the riders expressed high satisfaction for the products manufactured based on the research results.

The purpose of this study is to offer basic data to manufacture superior brassiere, by finding out wearing effect and wearing comfort after select high-functional brassiere and usual brassiere of brassiere on the market, and by analyzing the features of superior brassiere in wearing effect and comfort. The results of this research are as follows; 1) As a result of testing the wearing effect when wear a brassiere, the revision effect of high-functional brassiere was higher than that of usual one. But, from questions on general comfortable feeling. the wearing comfort of usual brassiere was higher in comparison with high-functional brassiere. In the questions for comparison and evaluation, the frequency of hard type-functional brassiere was highest. 2) As a result of examining the wearing effect and comfort of brassiere by each type, the wearing effect of high-functional brassiere was excellent. because of the difference in the size, construction, and material of brassiere, and the wearing comfort of hard type high-functional brassiere were superior relatively.

We studied relation between the clothing pressure applied by foundations(waist nipper, girdle, body suit) on the waist of bodies and muscular activity, feeling of tightness. The main results were summerized as follows ; 1. Clothing pressure applied by foundations was high in order of girdle>waist nipper>body suit, also clothing pressure was higher back than front and side, sitting on the chair than standing posture, ventral flection than repose. Individual differences, even if size of body was equal, were shown in clothing pressure applied by foundations with subcutaneous fat's amount in measuring region. 2. The muscular activity of rectus abdominis than obliquus externus abdominis was more affected by foundations in all kinds of postures and motions. Amplitude of electromyogram was high sitting on the chair than standing posture, but there was little difference with motion variation. The wearing girdle strongly affected on the muscular activities of rectus abdominis and obliquus externus abdominis as compared with waist nipper and body suit. 3. The value for feeling of tightness by wearing waist nipper was higher than girdle and body suit. Also the case when sitting on the chair and ventral flection, the value for feeling of tightness was high. When the foundations were on the body, most tightened on the region of the body was anterior abdominal region.

This study was conducted to analyze the wearing practice and the purchasing characteristics of household rubber gloves in order to obtain the product demands for quality improvement. The effects of wearing time per day and demographic characteristics on those were evaluated. A questionnaire was developed and administered to 494 housewives. Statistical tests such as descriptive analysis, crosstabs, factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, were used to analyze the data. The results indicated that housewives were largely divided into two groups according to the wearing time per day. One group wore gloves more than 3 hours a day, while the other wore less than 3 hours. We found that there were significant differences in the wearing practice and the purchasing characteristics between these two groups. It showed that the quality improvement of household rubber gloves should be achieved in a point of view of the comfort feeling and easiness in wearing and taking off. The housewives showed positive attitude toward pliability and necessity, while negative altitude toward dryness, comfort and mobility in wearing. The household rubber gloves were identified as the necessities which is so familiar and common that only a few of demographic characteristics have effect on.

Thermal comfort by wearing clothes is the important element which gives influence to a clothing comfort. The thermal comfort of clothes have been evaluated by sensory test and physical property of clothes material. To evaluate a thermophysiological comfort. a new evaluation method which measures the physiological response such as electroencephalogram(EEG) is attracting the attention of many people. In the chilly environment, the EEGs in t재 kinds of thermal conditions : with and without clothes were measured. By utilizing the chaos analysis, the behavior of the obtained EEGs were quantiatively expressed in the correlation dimension. As a result, the correlation dimension of the EEGs in being thermal comfortable feeling by putting on clothes, was bigger than the correlation dimension of the EEGs in being cold and discomfort. These results suggest that chaotic analysis of EEG is effective to the quantitative evaluation of thermal esthesis.

This study's purpose is to gain basic data for the factory automation of manufacturing custom-made girdles. For this study , obese women in their 30s and 40s was experimented through direct measuring and by the 3D scanner, by means of which the proportions of the subject's body was measured. Based upon the results of this experiment, individually designed girdles were made. In order to gain the basic data for the factory automation of manufacturing custom-made girdles, the patterns and the clothing pressure and the feeling of wearing such girdles were analyzed. This study can be summarized as follows: The material properties and the designs of existing functional girdles in the market were studied thoroughly, and the subject were required to wear those existing girdles. On the basis of this result, the experimental girdles were designed and produced which could serve well the subject's intension. The experimental girdles were of the basic long-type in order to apply to all sorts of girdles, and they were produced according to the style and pattern of the existing grading system. The second experiment was conducted by applying the subject's body measurements. Due to the elasticity of the material, in girdles the smaller measurements were to be used in this second experiment were: 80% of waist size, 84% of the hip and 85% of the thigh. To determine the length of the girdles, the same measurements were applied. The test results of the feeling of wearing the experimental girdles showed that the second, custom-made experimental girdles were better. According to the test results of the clothing pressure, the second experimental girdles(custom-made girdles) marked the higher pressure than the first on every part of the body, especially on the hips and thighs. Thus, it can be said that the second experimental girdles are better than the first in lifting up the hips. It is expected that the design methods developed in this study can be utilized as basic resources for the factory automation system of manufacturing custom-made girdles.

The purpose of this study was to investigate on wear performance of four type of stocking: support, mono, panty, bane stocking.
