In this paper, a composite controller cosisted of bandpass feedback controller and LQG/LTR controller is applied to a quarter-car model moving on a randomly profiled road. The LQG/LTR controller is used to achieve a design transfer toop. A bandpass feedback controller is adopted to eliminate the response due to the disturbance, which generally can not be measured, confined within an interested frequence range. The random road profile considered as colored noise is shaped from white noise by use of shaping filter. The performance of the composite control system is compared with that of an LQG/LTR control system.
The present study was designed to evaluate the usefulness of Sauropus. androgynus leaf (SAL) meal on reducing fat accumulation in broiler chickens. Eighty unsexed broiler chickens were allocated to four treatment groups with five replicates of four chickens each. SAL meal supplementation had no effect on body, leg, back, breast, wing, liver and heart weights, carcass protein, moisture and ash contents (p>0.05). Broilers fed diets supplemented with 30 g of SAL meal had lower feed intake with better feed conversion ratio (p<0.05) than did the control chickens. SAL supplementation at all levels significantly reduced fat accumulation in abdomen region, and liver (p<0.01), and in carcass (p<0.05). Higher SAL supplementation resulted in lower fat accumulation in the carcass ($r^{2}=0.94$; p<0.01), abdomen ($r^{2}=0.99$; p<0.01) and liver ($r^{2}=0.98$; p<0.01). The current study showed that a 30 g supplementation of SAL meal to the broiler diet was effective to improve feed conversion ratio without reducing body weight. SAL meal supplementation to the diet reduce fat accumulation in broiler chickens.
Sixteen Large $White{\times}Landrace$ pigs 12 weeks of age, with an average body weight of $22.9{\pm}2.12kg$ were fed four experimental diets; a commercial grain-based grower diet (control); or a diet containing 20% of either sun-dried leucaena leaf meal (LLM), water soaked LLM or $FeSO_4-treated$ LLM, replacing the basal diet. There was a significant (p<0.05) decrease in live weight gain, feed intake and feed conversion efficiency (FCE) in pigs fed the diet containing sun-dried LLM. Growth rate, feed intake and FCE were not affected by the addition of water-soaked and FeSO4-treated LLM to the basal diet. Triiodothyronine $(T_3)$ and thyroxine $(T_4)$ levels in the blood plasma were not affected by the dietary treatments. Addition of $FeSO_4-treated$ LLM to the basal diet significantly (p<0.05) reduced the back fat thickness of the pigs.
The study was conducted to determine the effect of feeding diets containing Andrographis paniculata leaves (APL), whole Andrographis paniculata plant (APWP) and a control without Andrographis paniculata (AP0), on growth performance, carcass characteristics and meat yield of 24 intact Boer bucks. The results obtained indicated that inclusion of Andrographis paniculata significantly improved feed intake, weight gain, feed efficiency and live weight. The ratios of carcass to fat, lean to bone, lean to fat, and composition of meat were also improved. In addition, there were significant differences (p<0.05) between the dietary treatments in dressing percentage and chilling loss. Goats fed on AP0 (control) had significantly higher proportions of fat and bone, as well as thicker back fat than the supplemented animals (APL and APWP). Higher gut fill in animals fed Andrographis paniculata suggested slow rate of digestion, which could have improved utilization and absorption of nutrients by the animals. Goats fed Andrographis paniculata also produced higher meat yield and relatively lower fat contents (p<0.05).
This paper proposes a gait phase classifier using a Recurrent Neural Network (RNN). Walking is a type of dynamic system, and as such it seems that the classifier made by using a general feed forward neural network structure is not appropriate. It is known that an RNN is suitable to model a dynamic system. Because the proposed RNN is simple, we use a back propagation algorithm to train the weights of the network. The input data of the RNN is the lower body's joint angles and angular velocities which are acquired by using the lower limb exoskeleton robot, ROBIN-H1. The classifier categorizes a gait cycle as two phases, swing and stance. In the experiment for performance verification, we compared the proposed method and general feed forward neural network based method and showed that the proposed method is superior.
In this paper the structure of 2-DOF controller based on artificial immune network algorithms has been suggested for nonlinear system. Up to present time, a number of structures of the 2-DOF controllers are considered as 2-DOF (2-Degrees Of Freedom) control functions. However, A general view is provided that they are the special cases of either the state feedback or the modification of PID controllers. On the other hand, The immune network system possesses a self organizing and distributed memory, also it has an adaptive function by feed back law to its external environment and allows a PDP (parallel distributed processing) network to complete patterns against the environmental situation, since antibody recognizes specific antigens which are the foreign substances that invade living creatures. Therefore, it can provide optimal solution to external environment. Simulation results by immune based 2-DOF controller reveal that immune algorithm is an effective approach to search for 2-DOF controller.
This paper presents an integrative control scheme for series-type active power filters combined with shunt passive filters not only to compensate for the source voltage unbalance and current harmonics but also to correct the power factor. To reduce the power capacity of the active filters, passive filters are connected in parallel. Diode rectifiers are replaced by the PWM converters in order to feed the real power back to the source. Power factor control is performed by changing the phase of the load voltage so that the phase of the source current coincides with that of the source voltage. The resultant voltage reference is the addition of the voltage component compensating for the source voltage unbalance and harmonic currents and the voltage component correcting the power factor. The validity of the proposed algorithm has been verified by experimental results.
This paper presents a family of continuous conduction mode with constant-switching pulse width modulator controllers. Unified implementation of quasi steady state approach for various DC-DC converters topoiogies is illustrated. The property and control low for quasi-state approach will be discussed in this paper. The different procedures will be discussed in details with different results for five commonly used DC-DC converters. Both trailing and leading edge pulse width modulation are used. Leading edge modulation can some times lead to simpler control circuitry as will be demonstrated in some circuits. These controllers do not require the multiplier in the voltage feed back loop, error amplifier in the current loop and rectified line voltage sensor, which are needed by traditional control methods. Controller examples and design arc analyzed.

This paper proposes a new sinusoidal rectifier which improves input factor and input current waveform without complicated switching modulation such as pulse width or a complicated feed back control. The proposed rectifier consists of a pair of capacitors connected in series, a full bridge diode rectifier, a pair of inductors, and a pair of switching devices connected in series. While the configuration of the sinusoidal rectifier is simple in itself, it effectively reduces the reactive power and harmonics involved(IEC555-2 SC77A90 Class C) in input line current. The excellent properties of the new sinusoidal rectifier are verified by theoretical analysis and experimental results.
