Detection of moving objects is a fundamental task in most of the computer vision applications, such as video surveillance, activity recognition and human motion analysis. This is a difficult task due to many challenges in realistic scenarios which include irregular motion in background, illumination changes, objects cast shadows, changes in scene geometry and noise, etc. In this paper, we propose an foreground extraction algorithm based on codebook, a database of information about background pixel obtained from input image sequence. Initially, we suppose a first frame as a background image and calculate difference between next input image and it to detect moving objects. The resulting difference image may contain noises as well as pure moving objects. Second, we investigate a codebook with color and brightness of a foreground pixel in the difference image. If it is matched, it is decided as a fault detected pixel and deleted from foreground. Finally, a background image is updated to process next input frame iteratively. Some pixels are estimated by input image if they are detected as background pixels. The others are duplicated from the previous background image. We apply out algorithm to PETS2009 data and compare the results with those of GMM and standard codebook algorithms.

There is a growing interest in and demand for power industry acceleration and energy efficiency due to the increased energy consumption, environmental issues. Electronic power IT convergence industries such as intelligent power system has attract attention as new growth engine industry. A large number of sensors and motors are being installed following unmanned, automated in existing incoming panel management system. Observe the operating conditions and rapid response is essential. Despite the need for immediate action to be taken in the event of various later failed to recognize the emergency power can lead to accidents. In this paper, we propose a new architecture of the implementation of incoming panel monitoring system for power monitoring, fault detection, maintenance and system control using open source hardware platform and Wi-Fi networks.
Corrosion has been around for all of recorded history. Cathodic protection is the electrical solution to the corrosion problem. Corrosion is not exactly a new topic. It has been around since the beginning of time. Corrosion is simply the loss of material resulting from current leaving a metal, following through a medium, and returning to the metal at a different point. Corrosion takes many forms and has various names, such as oxidation, rust, chemical, and bacteria action. Regardless of the agent, all corrosion is the result of electrical current flow. Various methods are used to treat corrosion or to try to prevent ti. Some of these include chemical treatment. coatings, and electrical current. Especially, proper impressed current can stop corrosive action on the protected surface. In this article, we introduce the Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) Control and monitoring system developed by ourselves. The ICCP system is composed of a power supply, anode, reference electrode and controller. The main issue is to control the current flow on the desired value such that it is possible to force a metal to be more negative(cathodic) than the natural state. From the this process, we can achieve the cathodic protection. Of course, in the developed system, the necessary functions are possessed, such as remote control, monitoring of system fault detection etc. Some experimental results show the system performance and usefulness.

This study is about design for the Rotational Instrument of the Industry factory which is used management safety and maintenance. We developed the multichannel vibration monitering system of the self-diagnosis for middle level CMS(Condition Monitoring System) market, and that system are new features to the expandability and flexibility. Normally one channel is used for treating one signal, but developed instrument can treat four channel with one signal processing card. One rack have redundant power supply and displace and it can check vibration measurement value in field without computer. Bearing fault detection is fundamental of vibration surveillance, but sometimes can not check with vibration velocity and acceleration. So it need the filtering and the amplitude modulation on the acceleration enveloping technology when irregular vibration is happened. We developed the vibration analysis instrument which is applied such technology. And the development prototype shows activated within the vibration error limit.

Analytical modeling of photovoltaic power systems has been receiving significant attentions in recent years in that it is easy to apply for prediction of its dynamics and fault detection and diagnosis in advanced engineering technologies. This paper presents a novel probabilistic modeling approach for such power systems with a big data sequence. Firstly, we express input/output function of photovoltaic power systems in which solar irradiation and ambient temperature are regarded as input variable and electric power is output variable respectively. Based on this functional relationship, conditional probability for these three random variables(such as irradiation, temperature, and electric power) is mathematically defined and its estimation is accomplished from ratio of numbers of all sample data to numbers of cases related to two input variables, which is efficient in particular for a big data sequence of photovoltaic powers systems. Lastly, we predict the output values from a probabilistic model of photovoltaic power systems by using the expectation theory. Two case studies are carried out for testing reliability of the proposed modeling methodology in this paper.

It is rather difficult to improve flight control computer(FLCC) hardware(H/W) development schedule due to lack of commercial off-the-self(COTS) tools or target specific tools. Thus, it is suggested to develop an enhanced process utilizing modeling, simulation and virtual reality tools. This paper presents H/W design process enhancement tool(PET) for FLCC design requirements such as FLCC input/output(I/O) signal flow, I/O fault detection, failure management algorithm, circuit logic, PCB assembly configuration and installation utilizing simulation and visualization in virtual space. New tool will provide simulation capability of various FLCC design configuration including shop replaceable unit(SRU) level assembly/dis-assembly utilizing open flight format 3-D modeling data.

This paper is about analysis of UDRE monitoring method for Korean Satellite navigation system, which is the correction parameter of satellite measurements. New receiver clock bias and tropospheric delay error estimation method to make pseudo-range residual for UDRE monitoring is proposed. Saastamoinen model and Neill mapping function are used for estimate the tropospheric delay and EKF is used for estimgate the receiver clock bias. Through the satellite measurements and regional weather data received directly from the domestic is using for UDRE monitoring analysis, more suitable UDRE monitoring threshold can be deducted and it is expected to be utilized for fault detection technique of Korean Satellite Navigation System.

In this paper, a novel method of equalization of RF transceivers is suggested for MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) antenna actively studied for high speed data transmission in the recent IMT-2000 system. The core of suggestion is in equalizing the transfer characteristics of multiple transceivers using feedback and memory during the predefined calibration time. This makes it possible to weight the signals in the intermediate frequency, which is easier in the application of recently developed DoA(Direction of Arrival) algorithms. In addition, the time varying optimum cell formation according to traffic is feasible by antenna beam-forming based on the DoA information. The suggested method of equalizing multiple transceivers are successfully verified using envelope simulation. two outputs. This paper is concerned with the diagnosis of multiple crosstalk-faults in OSM. As the network size becomes larger in these days, the convent.nal diagnosis methods based on tests and simulation be.me inefficient, or even more impractical. We propose a simple and easily implementable alg?ithm for detection and isolation of the multiple crosstalk-faults in OSM. Specifically, we develop an algorithm for isolation of the source fault in switc.ng elements whenever the multiple crosstalk-faults are.etected in OSM. The proposed algorithm is illustrated by an example of 16$\times$16 OSM.

To use the Global Positioning System (GPS) carrier phase measurement for precise positioning, the integer ambiguities at the early stage of most algorithms must be determined. Furthermore, if a precise positioning is to be applied to real time navigation, fast determination and validation methods for integer ambiguity are essential. In this paper, the Wald test that simultaneously determines and validates integer ambiguities is used with assistance of the Inertial Navigation System (INS) to improve its performance. As the Wald test proceeds, it assigns a higher probability to the candidate that is considered to be true at each time step. The INS information is added during the Wald test process. Large performance improvements were achieved in convergence time as well as in requiring fewer observable GPS satellites. To test the performance improvement of the Wald test with the INS information, experimental tests were conducted using a ground vehicle. The vehicle moved in a prescribed trajectory and observed seven GPS satellites. To verify the effect of the INS information on the Wald test, the convergence times were compared with cases that considered the INS information and cases that did not consider the INS information. The results show that the benefits of using the INS were emphasized as fewer GPS satellites were observable. The performance improvement obtained by the proposed algorithm was shown through the fast convergence to the true hypothesis when using the INS measurements.

In general, the investigation for reservoir dredging are conducting a observation on the horizontal position and the depth of water by assembling GPS/Echo Sounder and Total Station/Echo Sounder, and it is computed at a section computation of riverbed, reservoir volume and dredging plan etc. at that times, the detail plane is determinated about soil volume, height for dredging. Planning has a fault that the method of sound detection using the Echo Sounder doesn't check up distribution of reservoir deposit. In this study, the author emphasizes that implementation of dredging with combined Global Positioning System(GPS) and Ground Penetration Radar(GPR) is well-done more than existed GPS/Echo Sounder. the combined equipment can be adapted to computation and dredging reffering to distribution of deposition. First of all, it is executed water tank modelling test through sampling for apply to test area and is estimated the possibility after passed far accuracy verification of equipment.
