This study investigated the influence that the family rituals of unmarried males and females have on satisfaction with life and family role salience, recognizing the necessity to illuminate perceptions related to the original families of unmarried males and females through more diverse perspectives. Questionnaires were given to 601 unmarried male and female adults over 20 years of age. For data analysis, SPSS Win 18.0 was used, and the results are summarized as follows. First, the males and females were divided into three groups: "family with inactive family rituals", "family with active family rituals" or "family with moderate family rituals". There was a significant difference in family role salience depending on family type. Second, family type was classified as a degree of "relation" through common points of two variables, and each group was named as having a family with "satisfying relations," "general relations," or "deficient relations." Third, in the case of males, life satisfaction was high when the level of family economy was high, when parents' first marriage and family actively participated in family rituals.

The purpose of this research was to categorize the type of family financial well-being based on objective and subjective dimension. And this study was intended to explore the relations not only those types and the demographic characteristics but also those types and family subsystem; personal subsystem and managerial subsystem. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The type of family financial well-being were categorized as ‘Adequated type’, ‘Dissatisfying type’, ‘Satisfying type’, and ‘Unadequated type’. 2. The objective variables effect the family financial well-being rather then subjective variables. 3. The family cohesion, adjustment and communication pattern and intentional managing efforts increase the family financial well-being.

A study on the House wife's Family Relation Satisfaction. This study aimed to investigate house wives satisfaction of their family relation. Major research question are as followings; 1. How do housewives satisfy their family relations? 2. What are difference in housewives satisfaction to such family relation areas. Marital relation, children relation, husband's parents relation, relative relation, and husband sister relation. 3. What are difference in housewives family relation satisfaction in terms of housewives personal variables (age, education, employment, husband job, family life cycle, family type…etc) The Subject of this study consisted of 863 housewives sampled in pusan, changwon area. The questionnaire which used in this study is made by the researcher. The data are analyzed statis factly. The finding of this study are as followings: 1. Home makers were found to show the high-satisfaction is 28.5%, the middle-satisfaction is 57.5% and the low satisfaction is 14.0%. And Pusan higher than changwon. T-test showed the significance according to Area(p<.05) 2. The satisfactioon of family-relations areas was showed that pusan higher than changwon homemakers on whole field. 3. The main factors which affected the state of satisfaction about their family-relations were their economical level, the state of employed of homemakers, the type of family.

This study aims to find out tendencies of transition of family values in newspapers which were published in May. The study was conducted on content analysis of Chosun and Donga daily newspapers in odd dates of May from 1970 to 2014. Based on preceding research, family values were classified into sub areas such as 'Value of Family,' 'Value of Marriage,' 'Value of Children,' 'Value of Filial Piety' and 'Value of Sex Role.' The collected articles were classified into five sub areas. This study collected 288 articles considering overlap count. According to the study, the newspapers seem to be interested in 'Value of Family' and 'Value of Children', but not 'Value of Marriage'. And academic, social, political efforts to improve family life or raise a necessity to change family values can evoke mass media's interest about family values. Meanwhile, some newspaper articles appear to support an opinion that 'The Healthy Families Act' postulates a claim like 'the traditional family is a normal family'. It seems that newspapers misunderstood about 'The Healthy Families Act.' So we should judge what is more right between two opinions because mass media can reconstruct reality. The tendency of transition of family values is actually slight or the tendency of family values in newspapers cannot show actual family values. Moreover, we have to reconsider that highlighting just 'paternity' can make men overlook other roles in the household like caring for children or cleaning.

The purpose of this study is to suggest family policy for enactment of Healhty Family Act. Throuh this thesis 2 points are suggested. One point is the orientation and subjects of family policy are contextulized by governancial policy viewpoint. Another point is that family supporting programs are able to povided by 6 areas : Fostering family network and community and family culture, Protecting family(home) and family functin, Developing family strength, Preventing family problems and recovering family(home), Providing information for healthy family and Intigrating of network-nation policy, local government, community and family etc.

This study was performed to describe the perceptions of the family mealtime environment in preadolescents, and to determine the frequency of family meals and whether the mealtime environment is associated with nutrient intake. Surveys and 24-hour dietary recalls were completed by 197 children, ages 11 to 12, in elementary schools in the Incheon area. We assessed family meal frequency and the perceptions of the family meal environment with respect to priority, atmosphere, and family mealtime structure. The subject response frequencies and correlations among perceptions of the family mealtime environment, as well as the frequency of family meals and nutrient intake, were analyzed. Having a greater priority for family meals was associated with an increased frequency of family mealtimes. An enjoyable family meal environment was positively correlated with increases in nutrient intake. From the results of this study, we suggest that consideration be placed on opportunities to design nutrition promotion strategies that target families and their children, with respect to promoting family mealtimes and overcoming the barriers to having family meals.

The Healthy Family Act was established in 2004 to prevent problems of the family and increase thehealthy characteristic of the general family. According to this Act, Healthy Family Support Centers (HFSCs) were founded as a new part of the family welfare institution. The purpose of HFSCs is providing various welfare services to enhance the health and well-being of families in the community. This study investigated the organizational system and evaluation strategies of HFSCs. This research comprised a descriptive study of the organizational system and evaluation strategies of HFSC. The study sample consisted of 217 faculty and field workers. Data were collected from December 2004 to January 2005 and analyzed by frequencies, mean, standard deviation and ANOVA. The results were as follows. First, HFSC's organization should consist of family education, family counseling, family culture-marketing, and network teams. Second, healthy family specialists should have a national certificate of qualifications also they should have more than master's degree level. Third, evaluation of HFSCs should be adapt an incentive system.

While we go through a rapid change in society, family types composing social relationship underwent lots of changes. Recently the range of family is included not only families on the basis of blood relationship but also single family, a one-parent family and non-blood relationship family. Now we need not unified types of housing but social integrated housing models responding to family diversity. The purpose of this study is that examine family diversity through social statistics and demography and grasp the current housing types responding to family diversity. The features of family diversity are reducing the number of family member and turning up a unformal family type. At the social statistics and demography in 2005, the number of family member is only 2.9 people per family. Due to decline of birth rate and change of marriage consciousness, various family types appear and increase such as single family, a one-parent family and non-blood relationship family. But there is lack of housing types responding to such family diversity. This study will be a basic research to develop social integrated housing models responding to family diversity. Housing must be sensitive to change of family type, so it responds our needs based on thorough understanding on various housing life.

This study was purposed to analysis the satisfaction with occupation and family living of husbands and wives involved in the family business management. Analyzed data was the KHPS (Korean Household Panel Study) which was collected by Daewoo Economic Research Institute. Subjects were 646 husbands and wives. Results were as fellows: 1) The family business was preferred by the middle age than younger one. In many cases, size of the family business was smart, but variation was relatively large. 2) Wives'satisfaction with family living was lower than husbands'one. Differences between wife's and husband's satisfaction with occupation were not appeared. 3) As couples'one were younger, as the satisfaction with health and couple's relationships were higher. Especially frequency of the out of meal and vacation experience in the last year were important variables in the satisfaction with family living.4) Frequency of the out of meal was important variable in the explaining the satisfaction with the income, stability, and a bright future of the family business.

This study aims to examine the patterns of family finance management I Jeju island. and then to suggest the desirable directions of family finance management of Jeju households. for the purposes, 157 households were surveyed with questionnaires. This study dealt with the family income forms and family finance management behavior and the relationship between the family income forms and the family finance management behavior. percentage and $X^{2}$were undertaken as statistical methods. the following results were obtained. 1. The family income forms of the households of Jeju Island showed the trend of irregularity and unbalance. And there were 5 types of family income forms. 2. In most of the households, the couple was centered o managing the family finance. 3. In many households, wife holds the responsibility for the cost of family living, and she manages it and the total income. Here we can conclude as follows. For the desirable and balanced household management, they must have some regular and continuous income sources, and try to plan and budget.
