The purpose of this research is to exam the attitudes of elderly people to dating. This research also investigates the differences of the elderly's attitudes to dating based on demographic, family relation, and social relation variables. Attitudes to elderly dating in this study included the perception, necessity, and difficulty of elderly dating. The sample consisted of 689 elderly Korean people. Data were analyzed by frequencies, mean, standard deviation, Chi-square test, t-test, and F-test. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences in elderly attitudes to dating according to demographic, family relation, and social relation variables. The findings of this study are described in the results section and the implications of these research findings are discussed.

This paper is searching the meaning of Gangseong(姜聖) which came from Gucheon Sangje(九天上帝, the Lord and Creator of the Great Origin of the Ninth Heaven) incarnated in the Gang(姜) family. To study the meaning of Gangseong(姜聖), this paper concentrate on Maitreya(彌勒尊佛) and the sentence about Wonsibanbon(原始返本) Sangje's incarnation in the Gang's family appeared on term Gangseong in the middle of divinity terms(九天應元雷聲普化天尊姜聖上帝). Furthermore, Sangje's surname Gangseong(姜姓) has relation with Maitreya and the sentence about Wonsibanbon. What Maitreya has relation with Gangseong(姜聖) is the legendary poem that Maitreya Statue became complete woman(六丈金佛 化爲全女) and what Wensibanbon has relation with Gangseong is the fact that family name Gang is primary surname all over the world's human beings. Wonsibanbon comprises correction of family lineage and theocracy(政敎一致) which came from tracing and reviving the beginning. As a primary family name, Sangje's incarnation family name Gang plays a leading edge role of religious activity of Sangje because primary family name Gang represents the one and only Truth(眞法) or the principle of Wensibanbon which means the union[unity] of religion and politics(政敎一致), and combining saintliness and heroism (聖雄兼備). According to the one and only Truth(眞法) like this, the first emergence and role of the completely "DoTongKunJa" (道通君子, the perfection of man with Dotong) who Sang-Je declared will build the union[unity] of religion and politics shows realization of advance-oriented salvation. Under the principle of Yangsan(兩山, twin mountain, 甑山, 鼎山, the three-story Maitreya Statue of Geumsan Temple) which implies emergence of the completely "DoTongKunJa"(道通君子) who will accomplish the union[unity] of religion and politics(政敎一致), combining saintliness and heroism(聖雄兼備) and advent of the one and only Truth(眞法出現). This could be possible by the almighty of Sangje who incarnated in Gang's family name according to the principle of Wensibanbon from the text Jeonkyung(典經) as shown. Adjusting family lineage (血統) means to straighten out the relation between ancestors and descendants, and which has close relation with the activity after Sangje's incarnation in Gang's family name according to the principle of Wensibanbon. As far as family lineage was concerned, there are three aspects of close relation between ancestors and descendants. First, general connection between ancestors and descendants, Second Dotong(道通)-related connection, Third after -death entrance(冥府)-related connection. Descendants should know a family history from moral laws of family relationships(天倫) by the Compatibility principle. As for second Dotong-related connection between ancestors and descendants, the fact descendants' Dotong can be accomplished by the act of ancestors' charity shows human beings world(人間界) where descendants live has close organic relation with divine world(神明界) where ancestors live. As for third after-death entrance-related connection between ancestors and descendants, after-death entrance are totally related with both Heavenly order(天道) of ancestors and Humane-order(人道) of descendants. At this point, we can see the relation between ancestors and descendants are very close and organic. As shown from the text Jeonkyung, Sangje as Gucheon Sangje(九天上帝, the Lord and Creator of the Great Origin of the Ninth Heaven) and Maitreya(彌勒尊佛) has descended to the earth adopting Gang's family name according to principle Wensibanbon. By Sangje's incarnation in Gang's family name, the legitimacy of the religion and the perfection of Do could be successed under the law of Yangsan(兩山). Furthermore, Sangje realize the one and only Truth by Adjusting family lineage and producing the completely "true man" through Cheonji Gongsa.

The purposes of this study are to define the family life events as a input factor of system model and to understand structural characteristics of the family life events in the modern multilateral society have and orientation of the management system leads a satisfactory life. This study attempted through the relation of cause and effect among the components of management system by Deacon & Firebaugh systems theory. The findings of this study are as follows: 1) As for the influence of family life events on the orientation of home management behavior the influential family life event on overall the orientation of home management behavior was social problem of family members($\beta$= -128). 2)Family life events which have influence on the family life satisfaction were financial problem and trouble with husband members problems demand for housework and everyday affairs. 3) The subdivison of home management behavior which influenced on the overall family life satisfaction were communication and decision originality the use of resources and the flexibility of plan. 4) Results of path analysis revealed that relation of cause and effect out of family life events resources the patterns of home management behavior and family life satisfaction the family life events made the family life satisfaction higher because they had negative effect on the family life satisfaction directly but changed total effect into positive one by family management behavior.

The purpose of this study is to develop the life scale of the middle aged homemakers. The life scale are composed of spouse relation 8 items, child education relation 7 items, home economy relation 4 items, homework relation 3 items, selfish health relation 6 items, parent relation 3 items, and interest and social activity relation 4 items. The reliability coefficient of the development scale was Cronbach'α =.83 and the correlations of each demesne was high. For the better future life in this study, the middle aged homemakers are needed the improvement of conjugal relations, the child education, the health, the interest, and the enlargement of social relations. This life scale can help to evaluate their middle age, and to the planning of energetic healthful future, and useful to understanding characteristic and the developmental task of middle aged homemakers.

The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate family life education for meddle-aged man. We developed family life education program for man consisting of 4 sessions, which is based on the system theory and strong family perspective. The program was designed to contribute to making sound family culture and more to make more equal relation between a couple by breaking from the sex-types identity and recognizing androgyny. After implementing a program for 4 weeks, the quantity and quality evaluation revealed that the program made the middled-aged man have a chance to recognize the importance of their family, especially the need to respect wife, to reflect family role performance and to learn the importance of communication between a couple.

Purpose of this research is to analyze process through which poverty influences in child abuse and neglect. Data come from Seoul Panel Study of Children 2004-2005 and analysis method is Structural Equation Modeling. Results demonstrate that poverty has a direct influence on child abuse and neglect. Also poverty influences through process variable such as depression of parent and family relationship. And depression of parent influences child abuse and neglect through family relation. finding from this study suggest that societal support for poor families can prevent child abuse and neglect. Specially, such societal support need to be centered to low income family and family process.

The Purpose of this study was to explore the effects of differentiation, emotion over involvement(expressed emotion), and criticism between middle-or-old aged parent and child, by relation of emotional system, on child's psychological depression. The subject of this study were m premarital adult children over 30 years old. The major findings of this study were as follows. First. it was found that mother-child differentiation was more perceptive than that of father-child. With psychological depression, expressed emotion within family and criticism were shown average score that was lower than middle score. Second, among demographic characteristics, there are significant differences premarital adult children's sex, education, income, family type, father's education, and parents' marital status. Third, as the result of regression analysis, the higher level of psychological depression when the lower differentiation between parent-child, the higher expressed emotion over involvement within family and criticism. Based on the findings in this study, the relation of emotional system is very important. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the therapeutic intervention and relation improvement program when individual and family counseling about parent-child are going on.

The changes of neighbor relation by joining communal childcare cooperative are as follows. Neighbors who are cooperative members are consultant who advise on childcare and communal parents who nurture children in communal local society. They are also consultant on problems of couples because one can reveal difficulties and troubles in the relation with the spouse easily to the neighbors. They admit gradually that their daily life can also be shared with other families. Living with neighbors extend the boundary of family and form a sound family culture. On the other hand, because their relationship is satisfactory, they have no need to form relationship with neighbors who are not cooperative members. They regard neighbors who are not cooperative members as 'peoples with different color from us'. Also they recognize exclusive eyesight from neighbor who are not cooperative members. The changes of family relation by joining communal childcare cooperative are as follows. In the relationship between wife and husband, both husband and wife take equal responsibility of childcare and that husband gets to familiar with household matters. In the relationship between parents and children, equality comes true and parents get to blow wars to be good parents. And they neither attach to their children nor bear expansive delusions on their children.

The purpose of this study was to identify the relation between juvenile deliquency and parent-adolescent communication, the family cohesion and adaptability as variables of psychological environment of the family. The subjects were 143 juvenile deliquents in jail, aged 16 to 19, and 347 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th grade students who resided in low income areas in Seoul and Taegu. The research data were collected by structured questionnaire. 143 juvenile delinquents and 87 students whose degree of deliquency was more than M+(0.5*S.D) were selected as the final data source. The statistical methods were frequency percentile, pearson's correlation, one-way ANOVA. Scheffe'test and multiple regression analysis. The major findings showed that (1) juvenile deliquency was significantly related to father-closed communication type. (2) juvenile deliquency was significantly related to low family cohesion and adaptability, (3) the family cohesion and adaptability was positively correlated with parent-adolescent communication. Father-adolescent communication had more important effect upon the family cohesion and adaptability than mother-adolescent communication.

This research analyzed the contents of the elementary and middle school home economics textbooks within the 7th Curriculum from two theoretical Perspectives: structural functionalism and healthy family. A quantitative and in-depth content analysis was carried out with the five elements of family structure, family role, family relation, communication, dating and pregnancy. A healthy family Perspective was found in relation to the elements of family type and family role from the in-depth analysis of the elementary school practical arts textbook. In the middle school textbooks, the five elements reflected a strong structural-functionalist tendency. In both levels, the quantitative content analysis indicated that a structural-functionalist viewpoint was prevalent in the graphical components of the textbooks, including pictures, diagrams and graphs.
