The purpose of this study is to propose a remodification of the family resource management curriculum in order to vitalize the entire healthy family specialist program. In January 2005, 'the Act of Healthy Families' was enacted. From then on, healthy family specialists not only have assumed a key role in health family Projects, which is based on the Act of Healthy Families itself, but they have also become key members of the healthy family support centers. Therefore, it can be said that cultivating competent healthy family specialists is vital to the success of the management of the healthy family support centers as well as the entire healthy family project. In order to enhance the quality of the healthy family specialists, we need to modify the current curriculum, which is based on primary courses that offers healthy family specialist licences in the end, into a curriculum that focuses on work-oriented learning and practical education. Especially, the curriculum of public family management should be administered in a way that strengthens the practical management of healthy family support centers. The basic curriculum as well as the guidelines of the practical training that is being conducted through healthy family support centers should also be organized in a way that enhances the professionality and the unification of the healthy family specialist.

Furthermore, it suggests ways to improve these business activities. Research centered on the analysis of business documents created between December 2006 and November 2007. The results were as follows. First, the family voluntary service group and the healthy family campaign business in the Center must be able to have specificity or individuality. Second, the Center must manage the scale, frequency, and contents of the businesses systematically. Third, the businesses must concern themselves with family life in general, make better use of the advisory committee or steering committee, concern variety of business performing system.
The purpose of this study is to explore the degree of family strengths in Korea and the relationships of various characteristics to it. Family strengths the dependent variable is composed of four factors such as family commitment family communication family values and family crisis coping strategies. Independent variables are the following :i) family socio-demographic variables ii) individual variables iii) social variables. The main findings were as follows; 1. The degree of family strengths in Korea is generally high. Among four factors of family strengths the degree of family commitment is relatively higher and that of family values is relatively lower than the others. 2. The variables which independently affected the family strengths have influence in the following order ; individual marital satisfaction family's S.E.S(middle) self esteem, instrumental support from society and husband's income(middle level). These results show that the variable related to the family streng hs are multi-dimensional. Accordingly for the purpose of fortifying family in strengths educational programs should be prepared according to multi-dimensional characteristics.
This study investigates the influences of factors such as type and degree of family leisure among parents with five day work weeks on adolescents' perceived family strengths. Its findings are based on questionnaires collected from 525 male and female parents of middle school students. Factor analysis and MANOVA were employed for data analysis and $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ tests for post-hoc analysis. The main findings were as follows. First, adolescents whose parents work five days a week were at a higher level than other adolescents in terms of finances, family ties, communication, and social ties. Second, there were no significant differences concerning adolescents' family strength by type of family leisure. Third, adolescents with more family leisure activities scored higher than others in the areas of manageable strengths, financial levels, family ties, communication, and family social ties. Fourth, among families following the five day working system, adolescents who had more family leisure activities scored higher than the others in regards to manageable strengths, financial levels, family ties, communication, and family social ties. Additionally, where adolescents thought they had fewer family leisure activities, family-oriented adolescents tended to be engaged in higher physical-activity-oriented and hobby-oriented activities in relation to manageable strengths, financial level, family ties, and communication and hobby-oriented adolescents engaged in higher than average amounts of physical-activity, strengthening family social ties in the process. Fifth, concerning families not adhering to the five day working system, adolescents who had more family leisure activities scored higher than others in terms of manageable strengths, financial levels, family ties, communication, and family social ties. As the above results indicate, family leisure activities appear to be a key factor influencing family strength. Therefore, further support should be extended toward developing new forms of family leisure and additional studies should be devoted to the subject.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the work-family reconciliation level of married women in double-income households. Specifically, the study aimed to test the positive spillover effects, asymmetry, and differential functions of work-family reconciliation. The study thus analyzed 1,114 married women in double-income households in the third-year data of the Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Families (KLoWF) done by Korean Women's Development Institute (KWDI), with the exception of those who were separated, divorced, or widowed from their husbands. The data were put to descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, and exploratory factor analysis using SPSS 20.0 for Windows. AMOS 20.0 was used to test the hypothesis on positive spillover effects, asymmetry, and differential functions. The analysis results confirm that work-family conflict, family-work conflict, work-family facilitation, and family-work facilitation are different concepts, thus supporting the hypothesis on positive spillover effects. Secondly, the negative effects of family on work were greater than those of work on family, whereas the positive effects of family on work were greater than those of work on family, which finding partially supported the hypothesis on asymmetry among the components of work-family reconciliation. Finally, the married women in double-income households with preschool children experienced more work-family conflict and family-work conflict than those with no preschool children, which result supported the hypothesis on differential functions between the two groups of women. The findings were combined to provide implications for the utilization of family resources, policies for work-family reconciliation, and plans for institutional supports to promote the work-family reconciliation of married women in double-income households.
The purpose of this study is to examine the work-family conflict and work-family spillover of married working women. For this purpose, this study estimate the level of work-family conflict and spillover and investigate the related variables to then The results are as follows. The level of work-family conflict is ordinary. The level of role conflict as mother is highest and that of role conflict as wife is lowest. The level of work-family spillover is also ordinary and positive work-family spillover and family-work spillover are higher than negative ones. Work-family conflict of married working women have a significant difference according to woman's age, age of first child, number of children, household work time, career years, and support of family. Negative family-work spillover have similar trend with wok-family conflict in affecting variables. This study is meaningful in analyse the work-family spillover of married working women as well as work-family conflict to reveal the positive aspect with negative aspect of work-family. It is needed to eliminate the conditions which cause conflict to married working women and emphasize the positive effect of work-family.
In this paper the relationship of various types of work-family interaction (i.e. work-family conflict, and work-family enhancement) with individual, family, and employment characteristics was explored in a sample of 1000 married employed women with preschool children. By using cluster analysis, we tried to reveal whether specific combinations of the various dimensions of work-family interaction (WFI) exist. Our results showed that employed women did not simply experience work-family conflict or work-family enhancement, but that they should be classified in four distinct clusters: (1) 189 employed women experienced primarily work-family enhancement(i.e. positive WFI); (2) 289 employed women experienced primarily work-family conflict(i. e. negative WFI); (3) 338 employed women experienced work-family conflict and work-family enhancement simultaneously(i. e. both positive and negative WIF); (4) 184 employed women did not experience either work-family conflict or work-family enhancement(i. e. low WFI). Results further showed that the emerging WFI-clusters appeared to have distinct profiles with respect to individual, family and employment characteristics.

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of the resilience of families of middle-aged married men upon the perception of family stress. The subjects were 301 married men age 40.54 living in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, Korea. Participants were selected using a purposive sampling method and a convenience sampling method. The data were statistically processed using the SPSS 18.0 program. First, participants who perceived family stress less and had higher family resilience tended to be better educated, have higher average family incomes, have permanent employment, be religious, and have no experience of unemployment. Participants who had low-paying, physical labor-based jobs or who were contract workers perceived family stress more and had lower family resilience. Second, among the variables that affected family resilience, those that most influenced the perceptual extent of family stress were the sense of belief system's family control, having a positive perspective, flexibility with regard to morality, religion, and organizational patterns, connectivity, family resources, communication-oriented mutual cooperative problem-solving, and emotional response.
