  • In this study safety distance was investigated for small-scale LNG storage facilities in order to provide basic data for safety. The results are as follows; (1) For explosion pressure criteria, current criteria are reasonable, but water spray system should be recommended to LNG storage tank to ensure safety. (2) For criteria based on the results of the quantitative risk assessment, criteria applied to people are $5kW/m^2$ for radiation, LFL for dispersion, and 7kPa for explosion pressure. And criteria applied to facility are $37.5kW/m^2$ for radiation and 20 kPa for explosion pressure.

  • As the variety and scale of facilities increase due to industrialization and urbanization, blind spots for facility safety management have occurred, resulting in numerous casualties. To meet safety and security needs of citizens living in smart cities, we present a procedure for establishing an integrated platform for facility safety management by combining 5G and digital twin technologies. It can be used to perform inspection according to risk factors and aging of facilities. In this paper, the current status of facility management and application directions of new 5G digital twin-based smart city technologies are reviewed and digital twin implementation procedures are presented. Five cities were selected as target areas: Osan, Gwangmyeong, Guri, Uijeongbu, and Anyang. Old and emergency facilities of each local government were selected. A total of 33 digital twin facilities reflecting policy directions of each city were selected. Focusing on facilities determined by each city, the purpose of this study was to define information technology infrastructure elements for the application of the 5G digital twin facility safety management integrated platform, define categories of implementation services, and suggest a concrete integrated platform configuration plan.

  • Recently, the damage which is caused by human misfortune in the underground space have increased. However the regulation and law for the underground space safety is still poor. Therefore in this paper, we propose the scheme for the construction of safety management systems on underground multiplex facilities. We analyze the problem of the current law, and present the scheme for the underground shop fire fighting facility. It contains the tree structure to management the underground space according to the construction phase, the facility and immediacy equipment. This safety management system will rearrange the scattered underground space management system.

  • Man-made disasters are disastrous event, which can be reduced the damage through preventive measures and thorough inspections, unlike natural disasters. Thus, safety consciousness of citizens is not only important, but also safety consciousness of security guard who are involved with facility safety management. In other words, safety consciousness and fostering professionalism of security guards could reduce the damage, including human disaster and it enables the effective safety management. Therefore, this study selected the training and the organizational safety as variables with the influencing factors for improving the disaster safety consciousness of facility guard. After the analysis, the following results were confirmed. First, the training content and its environment would have a significant impact on the disaster safety consciousness. Second, organizational safety would have a significant impact on disaster safety consciousness. In other words, the improvement of training program and the formation of safety culture in organizational level will have a positive impact on the disaster safety awareness and enable effective safety management.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the facility standards of the elderly welfare facilities applying the seven principles of the universal design. The facility standards of the elderly welfare facilities were limited to the provisions of the "Enforcement Regulation of the Elderly Welfare Act". There are few legal regulations applying the universal design in the construction of the elderly welfare facilities. The facility standards are set only with the minimum requirements such as securing the safety of the user, securing the space area, functional convenience, and risk prevention. However, the contents of the regulations are limited to the minimum standards for functional convenience and safety required for living. In conclusion, in the elderly welfare facilities, the notion of universal design, which considers not only the elderly, but also service providers, employees, and general visitors, should be considered.

  • Small petrol stations have great potential for a wide distribution in metropolitan area in which the land value possesses primary installation cost of the facility. The objective of the present study is to propose appropriate facility regulations of small petrol stations in Korea that can be popularly installed in the future in terms of securing safety in addition to serviceability. The hazard analysis and damage prediction from the possible fire and explosion accidents were performed using a software, PHAST v.6.5. As essential components of the facility regulations proposed in this study, the regulations about the refueling lot, maximum capacity of underground tank, location of fixed refueling facilities, height of firewall for small petrol stations were subsequently compared with those for regular-sized petrol stations.

  • Purpose: In this study, we would like to make a technical proposal to solve the odor problem in pig houses. Through this, we would like to suggest an effective way to reduce the odor generated in the pig house as a solution to civil complaints. Research design, data and methodology: Conduct direct visits to pig farms where many civil complaints about bad odor occur, and identify the problems of each farm. Identify elements related to odor control, such as structure, facility, equipment, odor management method, and ventilation type. Through this, the technology to be applied to reduce odor and the solution to the odor problem are presented. Results: The results of major improvements are as follows: 1. Improvement of the structure of the barn or composting shed to an airtight type 2. Improvement of the pig manure treatment structure using the slope inside the barn 3. Establishment of ventilation and cooling systems 4. Automation of the mist spray system. Conclusions: As a result, as practical measures, sealing of facilities using winch curtains, construction of air conditioning systems using negative pressure ventilation, and management systems using AIoT systems were presented. It is judged that this study can be helpful in determining the grievances caused by civil complaints of tenant livestock farms and the direction of facility improvement in the future.

  • In this paper, an index of women's safety facilities was created and visualized using public data related to Seoul. CPTED, the women's safety facilities index was created by collecting and analyzing eight data related to the local women's safety index and five major crime victims of women. As a result of the correlation analysis between the factors of the female safety facility index and the number of female crime victims, three data were selected as the main factors, "CCTV," "street lamps," and "female security guardians", which were found to be meaningful at the 95% level of reliability. The distinction women's safety facility index was calculated by weighting the correlation coefficient between the main factors for calculating the women's safety facility index, and visualized using Python's Follium library.

  • As the interest in hydrogen energy is being increased, it is a widely issue to develop a lot of hydrogen technologies in the field of production, storage, transportation, application and others. In the aftermath, there is a hydrogen town in Ul San, which is expected to expand application fields of hydrogen energy, as a demonstration project. The hydrogen town in Ul San can consist of high and low pressure part by the gas pressure. The high pressure part is managed by 'the high pressure gas safety control act'. And, low pressure part is managed by 'the guideline for the safety management of demonstration project of hydrogen town'. In this paper, to improve efficiency of safety management, the direction of safety management is reviewed by an analysis of low pressure hydrogen facility and safety management items. And then, some improvement directions are suggested. In the end, it is expected that the results of this study could help to activate construction of hydrogen town and improve efficiency of safety management as well.
