조경설계에 나타난 공간의 특성 -시청 앞 광장 현상공모 입상작을 중심으로- (Spatial Characteristics Shown in Landscape Design -Focusing on Five Winning Design Proposals for the Seoul City Hall Plaza Design Competition)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate how five winning design proposals for the Seoul City Hall Plaza Design Competition have shown the spatial characteristics by comparing and reviewing them. Each design proposal shown different approaches that reveal the spatial characteristics. Through scrutinizing these design proposals, some similar and different aspects among them were identified. In order to examine these aspects, the winning design proposals were analysed and compared based on five categories such as design concepts, main facilities, representation of historical images, spatial connection, and event programs. Gilles Deleuze explained the spatial characteristics as striated space and smooth space. Striated space could be defined as sedentary space. It is distant vision-optical space that has dimensional, metric, and centered characteristics, whereas smooth space is defined as nomadic, close vision-haptic space that has directional and acentered characteristics. This study focused on the analysis of spatial characteristics according to smooth space and striated space. Based on the analysis of the spatial characteristics according to the smooth and striated space, some design proposals shown more characteristics of striated space while other proposals shown more characteristics of smooth space. Those design proposals that shown more characteristics of smooth space reveal flexible or changeable shape and void space, whereas the others that shown more characteristics of striated space try to suggest apparent guidelines for the future use by retaining the idea of a plaza through the concrete shape. This study, which analyzed the winning design proposals based on the spatial characteristics according to the smooth and striated space, can be used to analyze the designs and could help to develop a new methodology with a different perspective. furthermore, it could provide practical and creative design strategies for landscape design.

Evaluation of the Interruption Cost of Distribution Power Systems Considering the Failure Source and the Composite Customer Interruption Cost

  • As the power industry moves towards open competition, there has been a call for methodology to evaluate power system reliability by using composite interruption cost. This paper presents algorithms to evaluate the interruption cost of distribution power systems by taking into consideration the failure source and the composite customer interruption cost. From the consumer's standpoint, the composite customer interruption cost is considered as the most valuable index to estimate the reliability of a power distribution system. This paper presents new algorithms that take into account the load by customer type and failure probability by distribution facilities while calculating the amount of unserved energy by customer type. Finally, evaluation results of unserved energy and system interruption cost based on composite customer interruption cost are shown in detail.

  • Korea Rail Network Authority ordered Urban Transit Magrev System on the alternative tender lines. The project was contained order with GS Construction and Yooshin Corporation as a result of competition as 5 consortium. Urban Transit Magrev System route was constructed in the whole Yeongjong-dong and Yongyu-dong, Jung-gu, Inchen. The main project is via transportation center in Inchen Int'l airport ~ Work complex ~ Water park ~ Yongyu-station and has Total continuation of 6.1kilometers, Station of 6 spot, Car base of a spot, go out line(a single line) of 380meters. Scale of construction is Major of Roadbed, Railroad, Building, Inspection and Repair facilities. The first Urban Transit Magrev System in Korea is a new symbol of Korea and has polished beauty and creative artistry based on functional perfection. It was designed in harmony with Inchen Int'l Airport improving the dignity of SOC design.

  • Major companies have launched into the film industry since 1990s, which resulted in competition in facilities. In addition, restriction for the number of the prints was removed. Under these circumstances, the cinema has been transformed and developed from the established one-hall cinema into multiplex cinema with large-scaled halls. Contrary to the established cinema, modern cinema are a cultural place within easy access. They accommodate diverse social and cultural needs and their functions have been extending gradually. The waiting areas should not function only as the waiting space for the audience but also the places to attract the audience and provide them with various cultural and art information, and temporary restful break. For this study, the inter-relationship between the structure of the area and the audience are identified objectively by analyzing audience distribution and their routes within the area. The purpose of the study is to provide basic data about the design of the waiting area based on the findings above.

  • 서비스기반 경쟁효과를 호주 사례로 검토결과, 시내전화 시장은 재판매 도입으로 인해 Telstra의 시장점유율은 후발사업자들에 의해 약 13%를 정도 잠식되었고 시장평균 통화료는 인하되었다. 그러나 Telstra는 통화료 인하에 따른 수익보전을 위해 기본료를 14.5% 인상 조정 하였다. 사업자사전선택제의 장거리전화 및 국제시장 도입에 따라 장거리전화요금은 23.5%, 국제전화요금은 53%가 인하되었고 천이(Churn)자 수도 증가하였다. 이와 같이 서비스기반 경쟁은 장거리전화 및 국제전화 시장에서의 효율적 결과를 가져왔다. 그러나 LM통화 시장은 사업자사전선택 실시는 13.4%의 통화료인하를 가져왔으나 과금구조의 복잡성, 효율적 경쟁극대를 위한 과대비용 전망, 기술적 장벽, 소비자의 왜면으로 인해 효과가 미미한 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 논문은 한반도에 처음으로 철도가 등장한 이래 검토하지 않았던 국가철도망 계획을 추진한 것이 1998년도로 이를 통하여 새로운 철도시대가 시작되었다. 그 후 반복적인 국가철 도망 계획이 수립되어 국가기간교통망으로 그 역할을 대행하면서 철도의 가치를 제시하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 국가철도망 계획은 예산의 제약 속에서 선구별 그리고 연간 단위당 재원투입 양의 제약, 열차운행의 정합성 등으로 문제가 있으나 시설중심의 계획이 반복되고 있다. 따라서 1998년도에 국가철도망계획이 처음 수립된 이후 수정 등에 새로운 방안 그리고 사회간접자본에 대한 인식의 변화 등으로 고려한 방안의 검토가 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문은 국가철도망 구축에 따른 시간적 변화에 따른 사회간접자본에 대한 시각차이, 국가사회경제적 기반의 변화, 자연재해에 대한 인식의 차이 등의 관점에서 그 변화를 검토하는 것이 그 내용이다.

공공 공동주택의 BIM적용 설계 경기 평가관리에 한 연구 - BIM적용 가능 평가항목 선정을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Evaluation Management of Public Housing Architectural Competition using BIM)

  • 국내 공공 공동주택에 BIM 도입이 추진되었으나, BIM 기반 평가 기준 불확실성 및 관리업무 프로세스 비합리성으로 인한 참여업체의 과도한 설계 유발, 성과품 제출위주의 평가가 이루어지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 공공 공동주택의 BIM 적용 설계 경기평가관리를 위해 실무자의 의견 수렴 및 시범적용을 실시하여 BIM 기술 수준 및 적용 가능성을 파악하고, 이를 통해 현실적인 평가항목 선정을 통한 평가관리 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 첫째, 본 연구에 앞서 현재 실시되고 있는 BIM 적용 공공 공동주택의 평가 현황을 살펴본 후 사전조사를 통해 BIM이 적용 가능한 항목 15개를 예비 선정 하였다. 둘째, 예비 선정한 15개의 항목 중 BIM 기술수준 적합성, 결과 값 도출과정 명확성, 정보수준 만족 여부를 기준으로 시범적용을 실시한 결과 총 8개의 항목에서 BIM이 적용 가능한 것으로 분석되었다. 특히 현상설계 단계에서의 BIM 적용 평가 가능 항목은 3D 시각화 및 면적 관련 항목이 대부분이며, 기존에 요구되었던 사업비, 에너지/환경분석, 구조, 설비관련 항목은 후속설계 단계(기본, 실시)에 적합한 것으로 정리 할 수 있다. 본 연구의 결과는 현재 국내의 BIM 기술 수준 및 적용 가능성을 올바르게 인식하지 못하고, 무분별한 범위에서 BIM을 적용하고자 하는 현업 실태의 문제점을 지적하고, 적절한 범위에서 가장 객관적인 결과 및 BIM의 효율성을 극대화하고자 하는데 활용할 수 있는 자료를 제공하였다.

  • Nowadays, automobile manufacturers are faced with increasing global competition which is required low cost as well as high quality. To reduce shipping and handling cost and delivery time, lots of automobile manufactures tried to build their new factory in the neighborhood of market. Simultaneously, many factories are under construction in developing countries to make efficient use of low-wage workers. However, because systems are installed in developing countries as the same type of domestic facilities, systems have lots of problems such as high installation cost and inefficient use of manpower. To find core problems and generate optimal solution of these problems, thinking process of TOC(Theory Of Constrains) is used. In case of transmission gear machining system, semi-auto system is proposed as the best solution to increase manpower efficiency and system utilization. Semi-auto system consists of automatic machining process and manual transporting process. The system layout is generated based on semi-auto process concept. And, 3D simulation method using QUEST is used to verify production volume of generated system.

  • This paper considers a two-stage supply system consisting of two make-to-stock facilities. The facility in the first stage produces a single type of component in anticipation of future demands from the market and the end item production while the facility in the second stage produces the end item in anticipation of future demands from the OEM customers. The facility in the first stage has the option of to accept or reject each incoming demand from the market. In this paper, we address the problem of how to control the exogenous component demand and how to manage the production of the end item and the component so as to maximize the system's profit subject to the system costs. In this paper, we present a heuristic policy that is the base-stock production policy combined with a linear switching curve for component demand control. Numerical study is implemented under different operating conditions of the system and it shows that the performance of the heuristic is very promising compared to that of the optimal policy for the Markov model.
